"Garrett!" Josie chimed, a broad smile on her face. "Of course, come in. I can get you some towels to dry off with!" Josie then disappeared before reappearing in a matter of a few seconds, 3 towels in hand.

Garrett and the two strange vampires stepped into the warm flat. "You always did keep your apartment warm." He commented, gladly taking a towel from Josie's arms and starting to dry off his hair. "Thomas, how are ya?"

"Oh I'm good Garrett, thanks." Thomas laughed slightly, closing the door behind them. "How have you've been? Haven't seen you since our wedding last year."

"The life of a nomad and all." He said, putting the towel on the floor. "And Ana, nice to see you again. Still mateless?"

Ana scrunched her nose at him. "Yeah very funny." She scoffed. "You're one to talk, unless you quit the nomad life and one of these strange vampires you brought into our house is your's."

"They wish!" He snickered, earning a scoff from the blonde and a smack on the head from the taller one. He laughed even more, rubbing his head a bit. "No no, seriously though, these are old friends of mine. May I humbly introduce, Rosalie and Emmett! Carlisle Cullen's 'children'!"

"So not actual children I assume, due to the airquotes." Ana muttered to herself, leaning on the wall.

"Well hello Cullens." Thomas said, gesturing to the empty seats. "Please, sit down." Rosalie nodded, sitting in the arm chair in the corner of the room. Emmett just stood next to her. "Well, I'm Thomas. This is my wife, Josie, and my little sister, Anastasia."

"Call me Ana." She said quickly after that, giving her brother a pointed look when he used her full name. "Anastasia is somewhat of a mouthful."

"Ok, Ana. Noted." Emmett Cullen said, a grin on his face.

"Not to be rude, but why did you bring them here Garrett?" Josie asked, crossing her legs. "A heads up would've been nice."

"I'm sorry." Rosalie said, moving to sit at the edge of her seat. "But Garrett said the three of you would be of some service, and we just had to come here straight away."

"Service? For what?" Thomas rose a brow at her words.

Emmett and Rosalie shared a look at each other before Emmett cleared his throat. "You see, our family has ran into some trouble with the Volturi." He began.

"The Volturi!" Josie gasped, looking at Garrett. He just put a finger to his lips, nodding his head at Emmett.

"Our brother and his mate just got married. And during their honeymoon, they got a little busy with his mate was still human." Rosalie pursed her lips a bit, giving him a stern look. "What? Just trying to give them all the details!"

Rosalie shook her head at him before speaking herself. "In results of their honeymoon, she became pregnant with our brother's child. And a few months later she gave birth to a half-human and half-vampire child, before being turned herself. But the Volturi seems to believe that our family has broken one of the most sacred laws and created an immortal child."

Ana stood there, flabbergasted to a degree. A vampire hybrid child? The Volturi thinks one of their most scared laws were broken? This sounded like pure chaos if she's ever heard of it.

"So you want my family to help you fight the Volturi?" Thomas asked, concern laced in his voice. "Cause if so, I'm not sure if I want my family to be in an environment like that."

"Not fight, only to be witnesses." Rosalie explained. "You see, Carlisle wants to avoid fighting if possible. So with enough witnesses coming forward saying that the child was not created but born while her mother was still human, then we can avoid fighting."

"Yes but what if the Volturi decides a fight is appropriate?" Josie asked.

"Then we'll crush them!" Emmett cheered, raising his fist up in the air. Ana shared a concerned look with her brother.

"Maybe it wouldn't hurt to check it out." Thomas said. The trio were upstairs, doing there best to keep there conversation away from Garrett and the Cullens downstairs. Thomas suggested they talk it over themselves before making their decision to help or not. "I mean, we can just go and see the child, and if we decide that everything they said is true, then we stick around."

"Ok but what about the Volturi?" Josie asked. "That's what I'm concerned about."

"I agree." Ana added. "I mean, they're stronger and have been around longer than any of us. They're like the plastics."

"That's one metaphor for them I guess." Thomas mumbled. "But if a fight breaks out, then we could always run."

"Isn't that cowardly?"

"Not cowardly when you're protecting your family Josie." He said, holding her hands. "Our goal is to stay safe and do what we can to help others in need, yeah?"

Josie let out an unneeded breath, nodding a bit. "Ok, I think we should go. Ana?"

Ana but her lip, crossing her arms in front of her chest. She looked between her brother and sister-in-law before giving in and nodding.

Thomas shot her a smile, moving his hands to pet her head affectionately before the three headed downstairs to give them an answer.

Now downstairs, Garrett and the Cullens had stopped their conversation to look at the three.

"Well?" Garrett asked, spreading his arms open. Ana let out a sigh before looking at Rosalie and Emmett, giving them a slight smile.

"We'll help."
