"You don't know anything. That troubled little mind of yours can't comprehend what has happened." "Can you feel it? The destruction you've caused." "All of this is you're fault, all because you didn't just leave!" "They don't know? Let me tell them." "She was on the brink of death, and it was my hands that caused it."

You shot awake, sweating and heart racing. Ashoka and Auren laid next to you, sound asleep. But the sun was rising and there was no sense and trying to go back to sleep.

Your hands had found their way to your hair, pulling harshly at your scalp. This nightmare, this vision had gone by to fast to tell who said what. But it was going to happen soon, you could feel it. Soon someone would tell your family what you hadn't told them. And the only thing you could think of was your torture.

Maul.

He had to be here, he was the one who was going to tell your family. He would tell them how he threw knifes at you when you didn't comply. He would tell them how you were chained to a wall for longer than you could remember. And everyone would get mad at you for not telling them. Anakin would hate you, Auren and Ashoka would stay away from you, and Obi-Wan would pity you.

But your Master wouldn't know, she would still love you. If you could find her. You hadn't seen her since... since after Darth Mail tortured you. The girls had seen her, but you hadn't. It was almost like she was avoiding you. Maybe she already didn't love you.

"Master?"

Dropping your hair from your hands, you slowly turned around. "Yeah?"

Ashoka tilted her head to the side, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, of course. Did you sleep well?"

"Mhm. I just thought i felt something."

"It's probably the village. We should leave soon."

She nodded and you turned to Auren. Her mind was trapped in dreams while her chest slowly rose and fell. She was peaceful, and you weren't going to disturb that just yet.

"Can you wake Auren up in a minute for me?" Ashoka nodded again, "Thanks."

You stood up as you fixed your hair. Walking out into the main room, you noticed the door was open. Then you felt his presence, Anakin was outside. You walked toward the door and saw him standing, facing the village.

"Anakin?"

He turned around and opened his eyes. He had been meditating.

"I'm sorry."

He smiled and shook his head, "Don't be, I was just finishing up."

Stepping out toward him, he put his arms around your waist and his head on top of yours.

"Did you feel them?"

"Yes," he closed his eyes, "but something's off. There's something familiar there. Do you feel it?"

You closed your eyes and just felt. The words in your mind stopped flying and you felt the soft buzz of the force through your body.

"Yes, someone familiar."

Maul. But Anakin wouldn't recognize his signature, would he? He hadn't seen him since he was a child, when Qui-Gon died.

"You know who it is."

Anakin had felt your thoughts, "I have an idea, I'm probably wrong though."

"I don't doubt you."

He said it so simply as if he hadn't just touched your heart. As if those weren't the words you'd been waiting your whole life for. The constant need to be heard, to be understood. Anakin trusted you, but it wouldn't last long. Maul would tell him everything, and you would be lost once more.

"Is Obi-Wan awake?"

"Yeah, now he is."

"Are you ready to leave?"

"I don't want to, but i should be."

"I get that."

"I know you do, I feel you."

Smiling, you turned around and faced him. His eyebrows were pulled together by tension. And he looked lost in thought.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing," His hands moved around your waist and landed on your stomach. Then his face relaxed, "Do you-"

"Nope! Nope, nope nope nope."

You shimmied out of his arms and stepped backwards.

"Y/n-"

"No, not happening." Now you were inside of the tent and he followed you in. He was about to say something but Auren and Ashoka were there with Obi-Wan.

Auren looked at you and tilted her head, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," You smiled, "We should get going though."

They all nodded and you walked back out of the tent. Anakin followed closely at your side, keeping his eyes on you. While everyone else walked right behind. You got to the ship and pulled out the three speeders that were stored. They didn't look too badly damaged, so they should work fine.

Y/n.

You gave a speeder to Obi-Wan and one to the girls.

Y/n.

You faced Anakin and pushed the speeder toward him. Letting him know that he was to drive.

We have to talk about this, Y/n.

Nothing to talk about.

Y/n, please. I don't want to argue with you.

Anakin, we're not ready.

He had hopped on the speeder and you were holding on behind him. Obi-Wan drove off first with the Ashoka driving right behind. Then Anakin went even though he had been taken back by your bluntness.

What?

We're only 18, Ani. We're not ready for this.

We weren't raised to be parents. We'll never be truly ready, so we just have to accept that.

I don't know if i can, Anakin. They'll find out, and then we'll be over.

Y/n, we'll figure it out. We always do.

Maybe not this time, Anakin.

Obi-Wan was the first to arrive followed by Ashoka and then Anakin. They all pulled up behind a farm with its land touching the trees. Obi-Wan got off and signaled for the rest to follow him. And you did, slowly. He crept up to the backdoor and slowly placed his hand on the doorknob. Then he opened it easily, it wasn't locked. And there didn't seem to be a lock on the door.

He walked in and walked right through the small house to the front door. You followed right after him. Then Anakin, then the girls. Obi-Wan peaked through the windows of the front door. But he was startled and jumped back.

"Step-"

The door exploded. Really the front of the house exploded and threw you all back. Yet it wasn't enough to make you lose consciousness. Just make you drift in and out for a minute. Obi-Wan hovered over you, examining for injury. Then he closed his eyes and felt with the force.

When he opened them, he made direct contact with you. Before rolling his eyes. He knew what you and Anakin just found out. Still, he just helped you sit up and face the damage. The pieces of the house left in front of you were on fire. Anakin, Ashoka, and Auren we're to your right.

Obi-Wan helped you stand up and go to the girls. They were further back and were fully conscious. When you came closer, they asked,

"Are you two alright?"

Obi-Wan answered, "Yes, what about you two?"

They just nodded and you stepped toward Anakin, who was stumbling toward you. You grabbed his arms and held him steady. Even though you weren't the most steady here. Obi-Wan audibly sighed, but you didn't listen. Especially when a voice came from the fire.

"So, you're all here."

Darth Maul walked through a gateway blown into the wall of fire. After he passed it, he raised his hands and it closed. The fire dying down into small flames. Everyone grabbed ahold of their weapons, including you. But you stepped back and froze.

He looked around and his deadly eyes landed on you. His head tilted to the side and he smiled. Your hands shook on the hilt of your saber and your lungs felt like they had collapsed. Every memory flashed through your head like the light flashing from a hologram. Torture, pain, suffering. All words that came to mind at the sight of his face. Yet if you tried to say any of them, you would fail.

"So, you didn't tell them?"

His words were directed at you, no one else. It sent shivers down your spine, and chills to the furthest parts of your mind. The people around you, your loved ones, were so confused. But your mind had drowned them out, all your focus was on Maul.

"Don't worry, I'll save you the trouble."

"What are you talking about, Maul?" Someone asked, a younger voice.

Anakin had turned to face you, he knew Maul was there for your torture. He knew what happened but not what you had been through.

"Oh, it's nothing to me. But quite the opposite for your friend here. You see, she went through some things when she was gone." You closed your eyes tightly but it didn't block out the images, "Her mind and body were tortured in the most gruesome ways-"

"Stop." You whispered but no one heard.

"She was left hanging for weeks. While her arms grew sore from the stress. She was stabbed and-"

"Stop." You grew louder.

"-sliced. She went through so much and didn't tell you. So she must not trust you. She must not feel safe with-"

"Stop!" You yelled and they all faced you, but Maul continued.

"-you, she doesn't feel anything for any of you. She was told that while she was with me. I told her that you hated her, I gave her the truth. That you wouldn't save her, that you didn't love her." Your hands were on your ears and Anakin was at your side trying to get your attention. Your closed eyes had tears running from them, "Yet you still kept her around. Like a poor dog that is meaningless to its owners yet they pity her, so they keep her around."

"Stop!" You sniffled, "I said stop!"

You had fallen on your knees, yet the feeling was numb. Anakin yelled your name from your side but it was blocked out. Yet you could hear Maul loud and clear.

"I threw a knife into her thigh, one in her stomach too. My friend broke her ribs and bruised her face. She suffered so much at my hands, yet she didn't tell you."

"She said stop!" Anakin yelled and ran at him with his saber.

They fought but the only way you could tell was through the groans and the colors flashing over your eyelids. Hands were on your back, pulling you away from the rubble. Yet you didn't feel a thing. Your mind felt as if it had been cut in half with a lightsaber. Your arms felt so weak from the tension you held them with. And your legs felt like bricks being dragged in a sack across the floor.

You were placed by a tree. Starting forward, you didn't acknowledge the people waving their hands in front of you. These people you love didn't mean anything right now. Nothing meant anything to a person who had to relive the darkest parts of their mind.

"Y/n!" They yelled, desperate for you to show that you were somewhere in this shell of a person. They wanted you back, yet their minds dwelled on what Maul had said. Everything you had been through. Everything he put you through.

Anakin was still fighting him, getting his anger out. And everyone here knew that he was the only one who you would take comfort in. He was your fiance after all. But he wasn't here, he couldn't help you from where he fought. Or so you thought.

Y/n.

Your eyes widened. The people in front of you noticed.

Y/n, please wake up.

You were awake, but not mentally. Mentally you were back at that place. Stapped to that wall.

Y/n, if you can hear me respond.

It took a second but,

I'm here, Ani.

His relief was felt in your very soul.

Please, talk to the people around you. I'll be over with you when I can.

I'm scared, Ani.

His mind froze even if his body kept fighting. You didn't normally talk about your fear. You always rushed into things, you ain't have time for fear.

I am too, angel, but don't worry. I'll keep you safe.

He was so far away, yet you felt those words across your skin. The promise coated your entire being. And so you snapped out of the past. You made eye contact with Auren who was right in front of your face.

"Master!" She cheered as her hands rested on your shoulders, "You're back."

You tried to smile, but all you could manage was a grin. Ashoka was at Auren's side with a relieved expression. Obi-Wan was facing away but he turned around when he heard Auren.

Yet the couldn't save you from what was coming.

"Hello." A voice said from the shadows.

Everyone whipped around, trying to find the female voice. But you knew who it was. She appeared in front of Obi-Wan and he yanked his saber out.

Her skin was as pale as the last time you saw her. Her dark hair sat on top of her head like a storm cloud. Her clothes were black and unforgiving, they seemed armored. And worst of all she smiled as she laid eyes on you.

"Thought you'd never see me again, didn't you?"

Your chest rose and fell as you stood up from the base of the tree.

"We meet again, Darth Novu."

"Do you remember what I told your friends before we fought?"

Thinking back, she had talked about you. She wanted you... because you knew something.

"You said I knew something, something a was t supposed to know."

She chuckled and it filled the air like a thick fog, "That may have been a bit of a lie. You see, back then you didn't know anything valuable yet. But now, now you do."

"Then why did you try to kill me back then."

"My death was a pushing factor for you. It caused you pain and made you search for answers. But as you can see, I'm very much alive."

In a seconds notice, she force-pushed Obi-Wan, Auren, and Ashoka out of the way. And she made her way toward you. You unsheathed your lightsaber and deflected her first attack.

"What do I know?" You grunted, her strength defeating yours.

"Think about it."

She swing her saber like a hammer. Leaving you no choice but to stay on the defense.

"I don't know anything valuable!"

You found an opportunity and spun around her. Then you swung at her legs to which she flipped backwards.

"Yes." She attacked, "You do."

Top two, bottom two. Right, left, right, left.

"Then tell me!"

She swung at your head, causing you to duck down and swipe at her middle. She brought her weapon back towards her and deflected your shot.

"You know the truth behind the chosen ones creation."

"What does that have to do with anything?"

She spun around and swiped at you. Her weapon had caught the side of your tunic and grazed your skin. You groaned but it didn't hurt as bad as your torture.

"My master doesn't want him to find the truth."

"Let me guess, your master created him."

She flipped backward and you charged at her. But you got thrown to the side and you rolled in the grass.

"Your actually smart, sometimes. But there's something else that you know, it's a little more personal."

Stalking toward you, she stabbed the ground where your feet used to be. She repeated this as you scurried away on the ground.

"I don't know anything about you!"

"That's cause your not thinking!"

Her voice crackled as if something was changing it. But something felt familiar.

"Try, Y/n, actually try." Your master commented from the sidelines.

"I am! I just don't know what to do."

"Think about it."

"I am thinking, Master! But we've been stuck here for 20 minutes now!"

"That's cause your not thinking!"

You examined her as you stood out of her reach. Surprisingly, she let you as if she wanted you to. On her neck there was a small metal plate. It looked about the size of a finger tip.

Thinking back to your Master, she has always had a scar right there. Small enough not to be noticeable most of the time. But every once in a while it caught your attention.

What a quinky-dink.

After a few more seconds, Darth Novu began to creep closer. "Have you found it out yet?"

"I don't know what you're talking about!"

She sighed and lunged toward you. Top two, bottom two. She kept on attacking quicker than you thought you could keep up with. Your movements began sudden and rash.

And suddenly you had swiped at her neck. You surprised yourself, but it wasn't really you. It felt like the force had guided you. And it guided you right to the metal plate on her neck.

It sizzled and fell off as she screamed in pain. She stepped back and away from you. Grabbing her neck, she smirked at you. And slowly, her pale skin became darker in blotches. Until her entire body was a deep brown.

She rose back up from being hunched over. And you took a good look at the woman in front of you. Your Master stared you straight in the eyes and smiled. Her deep oak eyes were the only thing different. Now, they were a rusty yellow.

"So now you know, and now..." She chuckled, "Now you must die."

She lunged at you once more and you yelled,

"Master! Master, stop!"

Yet she kept on attacking as if she didn't hear you. The woman who had practically raised you, now wanted to strike you down. You defended against you, but it felt as if it was tearing your soul in half. She used your pain and surprise to her advantage. Moving quicker than you could go in this state.

And she got lucky as she stabbed you in the side of your abdomen.
