Arc 3 Prologue - The Royal “We” II
Emir Sarjace and Calavera were known worldwide thousands of years ago for slaying the evil Gold Dragon, Radian, who was the undisputed ruler of Hollow World during his era. At the time, Lord Emir and the sentient species of the great desert unified to fight the looming evil that would have consumed them if there had been no call to action. In the end, the war was won against Radian, although, at the great price of Hollow World being engulfed by the corruption of extreme yin and yang energy. This made the great red desert uninhabitable as monsters from all over the world began to flock to the dense mana that covered Hollow World like a fog. In such a case, Emir Sarjace, Calavera, and the species of the desert had no choice but to live somewhere else. It was then that the story of the Desert Prince and the Legendary Valhalla Knight had died along with them when leaving their home. Yet, there were no stories as to what had happened in the last years of Lord Emir and Calavera.
The truth is, when the battle was won against the Gold Dragon, he was able to cast two spells through Dragon Language. Noticing the imminent danger that would have befallen his people, Sarjace threw himself at the center of the attack. Calavera, his closest friend, and sworn brother saw what Sarjace was trying to do and followed along with the great sacrifice.

-From the ashes of the Ancient Gold Dragon scattered by the wind thousands of years ago, they will return and reincarnate into the physical world when a single criterion is met.
-(sealed)
These were the two great spells exclusive to Radian before perishing. It was not known in the beginning exactly what those spells entailed since Emir Sarjace and Calavera emerged from the Dragon Shout without dying. It was only when the Desert Sword Saint decided to infuse Radian’s Dragon Heart with his. When that came to pass, Lord Emir understood what had befallen him and his brother, Calavera.
They were doomed to riddle in the world after their deaths.
Naturally, souls that do not pass into the spirit realm typically return to the physical world as monsters. This was the case for Emir Sarjace who had formed into the rare variant of the Death Knight species, Death Emperor. It was a race that excelled in leadership and governing. Moreover, he roamed the desert for thousands of years and gradually came to lose all his memories. This was the fate of the desert’s first Sword Saint.
“Your sacrifice was one that of the ultimate,” Lord Vicegerent said. His words reverberated throughout the crystal sanctum.
In front of him were two beings kneeling, one with exuberant armor platings with a cape and the other person equipped with golden dragon bones. His Majesty, Emir Sarjace replied, “By the one in whose hand is my soul, we had thought it to be an ill-fated end.” His words were eloquent and humble, something that is to be expected from royalty.
“Kuku,” Jinn let out a soft chuckle. “Yet, you two carried such a fate with gracious forbearance.” Lord Vicegerent could be seen with one of those rare smiles that Veda and Hades instantly noticed.

Jinn stood from his lofty throne and proceeded towards a nearby window, “What kind of man would carry such a burden and be successful in it?” Lord Vicegerent and his cryptic words were extolling the two. “Rise.”
Emir Sarjace and Calavera listened to the command that their resurrector call his “Master.” Their eyes were beholden to the “god” that they heard only about in myths and long-lost history. They were in a presence that was even greater than the Ancient Gold Dragon.
“Your sacrifice…” Jinn still staring through the window, “We know it very well.”
Emir Sarjace and Calavera felt both their hearts beat a second faster. It was a sign of understanding. Even though Jinn spoke plainly, the two felt as though Lord Vicegerent understood what that “sacrifice” was.
Step. Step. Step.
Jinn’s proceeded to his throne, “If thou wishes, We will lift the curse which weighs heavily upon your souls.”
!
His Majesty, Emir Sarjace was visibly surprised that anyone other than Calavera had knowledge that they were cursed by Dragon Language.
Jinn chuckled for a second, “What say you? Does thou wish to be released from such anguish?”
Thousands of years ago, Calavera usually lets Sarjace do all the talking, but this time, he spoke for a brief moment, “Nay. If it is to be our fate, then we will do so in our own way.”
It was words that struck Jinn’s emotions, reminding him of a memory long past. Such words were to be expected from Lord Emir whose speech can influence, yet, it was Calavera’s plain speech that aroused emotion. As such, it made Lord Vicegerent ask a question to them, “Pray tell, what does thou seek? ”
“By the one in whose hand is my soul, we wish to be worthy of this great suffering.”
“Kuku!” This time, Jinn’s subtle laughter quaked Divine Manalum. “Indeed?”
The true ruler of the world stood once more and made a declaration, “In place of Our blessing, We shall grant thee a minor blessing.”
?
Both Sarjace and Calavera were thinking about that “minor blessing” and what it would entail. Though, that thought was answered rather quickly.
“At the very least, I will make it possible for you to conqueror Hollow World,” in this statement, Lord Vicegerent broke off from the Royal Speech and spoke personally. It was a sign of great trust and portrayed a ruler who is close with their people.
The scene ends with a smirk, a diabolical grin that made the devil fearful of his coming. Jinn thought of a plan to conquer the Eastern Continent, Erebus, in a different manner, in other words, a more expedient way has opened up.
