《Creation - The Path of a God》Chapter 183 (Book 2 - Zombie World)

After watching the video for a little bit, they continued their way down the hallway.
"Though we're able to watch these videos inside of our rooms, whether in the Guild or outside, it seems like people prefer watching the videos in this hallway," Claire remarked to Hannah, her eyes looking at the groups of people standing in front of the screens.
Hannah also was checking out each of the groups. "I learned that these are people who had experience with such techniques before everything went crumbled."
"How did they get good enough with using materials from monsters so quickly? It's only been a day or so when everyone entered the simulations." Claire wondered.
"They're from other Underground Cities around the world. Some of the cities were accessed far sooner than ours." Hannah explained.
Claire widened her eyes in surprise at the information, not making the connection until she was reminded of such things. "It only shows how bad of a situation the rest of the world is currently in, to have to access this type of environment so soon." She thought to herself, as she looked at a screen with a greened haired woman polishing an intricate chest plate.
"Though it may be unfair that we're behind a lot of people, it doesn't change the fact that we can develop our skills and surpass them." Hannah raised a hand in excitement.
Every now and then, they passed by a terminal near the wall. There would be adventurers using the terminal, as though accessing information.
"Do you want to use the terminal?" Hannah noticed Claire's observing the computers.
Shaking her head, Claire said, "I'd prefer going to set things up with Darlina at the desk. I believe there should be one specifically for adventurers diving into manufacturing equipment?"
Hannah pointed ahead of them, "I think that's the place."
Off in the distance was a large service desk, similar in appearance to the one in the main lobby area, upon entering the Guild. Several lines of adventurers showed that many had the same thinking as the two of them about making their own products.

Walking over to the lines, Claire and Hannah stood behind a group of adventurers. Judging by their equipment, which was of a lower quality compared to them, it was clear that they had only recently become adventurers.
"Have you checked out the woman, who was working on the chest plate?" A blonde-haired woman with long braided hair in the group ahead of them asked her comrades.
A guy with short brown hair, likely someone in the military answered, "Her skills are way beyond anything we could make."
"Did you see the amount of Guild Points people were sending her?" An eastern looking man with black hair that was slightly longer than the military man asked. "It just shows that if you get good enough, you'll be able to make money, not just by forging the equipment."
Claire eyed Hannah, raising an eyebrow as though asking what they were talking about.
Pointing at the bracelet, Hannah was indicating, "They were likely using the bracelet to wire the Guild Points." She pointed at a screen close by, where people were approaching a scanning device and tapping their bracelet against it.
"I didn't even realize you could do that," Claire was amazed at the various opportunities that Star and Moon had created for adventurers inside of the Guild.
Turning back to the group ahead of them, she found what they were discussing to be interesting and informative.
Claire noticed that Hannah was thinking the same thing as she listened in on what the group was talking about.
"The problem is getting access to materials, at least decent ones," A woman with purple hair sighed at the thought. "It's not like any of us are strong enough to hunt the higher-level ones or can afford to purchase them."
"I say that we aim to produce equipment that adventurers are likely to need, targeting the items that have the best margins." The blonde suggested. "I mean, there are some things that even higher leveled adventurers are still going to need. I would think so?"
The others in the group nodded their heads in agreement at the woman's words.

Claire elbowed Hannah, hoping not to look too obvious.
When Hannah turned to Claire, her eyes asked, "Why did you elbow me?"
"We should look into that," Claire mouthed at her friend. Hoping Hannah would understand that they needed to check out what even high-leveled adventurers regularly needed when they entered into the simulation.
The question was what such people would need to use regularly. So far, whenever they entered into the simulation, they didn't need anything in particular frequently. Jobs taken were pretty much just day-long events.
"Could that be it?" Claire wondered to herself, feeling as though it couldn't be that simple. "What they need is likely connected to jobs that take longer than a day to complete and far away from wherever they started."
As she half-listened to what the group in front of them were talking about, Claire was trying to think of something needed during a job taking an adventure far away from where they accepted the job. The issue was with their lack of experience. "If this product is something needing pretty regularly, there should be people talking about it often."
Slowly, as Claire was thinking and they were moving forward in the line, soon, they were at the desk.
"I'm guessing the two of you are ready to start creating equipment?" Darlina gave them a welcoming smile.
Hannah nodded, "The problem is trying to figure out what to make first. Though we got a decent amount of Guild Points from the last job, spending our money on supplies could end up costing us a lot."
Listening to them, the robot suggested, "Since you'll need to purchase enough to get used to making items to be sold, I think it's a good idea to create something basic that you know will sell."
Hearing Darlina make a recommendation, both Claire and Hannah leaned closer to hear what the robot was going to suggest.
"Something common that adventurers are always going through quickly is throwing daggers," Darlina said. "Usually, adventurers will carry a dozen daggers for a basic job and even pack away more when they need to go far away from the base Guild where the job was accepted."
Hearing that it was something that any adventurer would need to get, Claire's eyes brightened. "Is this something with high margins?"
Darlina blinked in surprised by Claire's question. Taking a moment to process the girl's excitement. Then, as though realizing something, Darlina nodded its head. "It seems like people are trying to find something that they can make but earn a lot on. When dealing with adventurers, each of me has been asked that question often by those trying to figure out what they should make." Smiling wryly, it looked around subtly, like it was trying to see if anyone could overhear them, "Though that's a good idea, what you're hoping for is beyond your skills. Something like that would be a dagger with special elemental attributes that would activate upon striking the target."
"Elemental attributes?" Claire thought of the words to be interesting, wanting to learn more.
Darlina motioned with its hand for Claire to keep her voice low.
Realizing she had asked in a loud voice, Claire blushed.
"It's related to the stones found inside monsters or jewels inside the ground. Remember that the world you enter is filled with the same energy that this world is being flooded with. The stones inside of the monster are what allows the creatures to use special abilities." Darlina explained. Seeing that both Claire and Hannah wanted to know more, it said, "Special abilities could be spraying fire out of the monster's mouth or slipping into shadows. The variety of abilities are nearly endless, so it's just something you'll have to experience yourself."
"And we can put these abilities into weapons?" Hannah asked, grinning like a kid getting a present.
"Not just weapons but armor, too," Darlina smiled patiently. "Such items are highly valued due to being superior in quality." It paused as though trying to think of something. "A good example is how a high-quality armor with elemental attributes could even allow you to walk around not having to worry about the Modified Humans."

Binary of Life and Death
Monsters, gold, chaos, glory, adventure, what more could attract two of the greatest players of all time to Sugarea, the most popular MMORPG of its time. But everyone makes errors, and unfortunate for these two brilliant players, they have made the grave mistake of not actually sleeping like normal humans and missed out on the very moment the new Dark Legion update would take effect. Or did they? They wake in what seems familiar yet not, but they soon realize their predicament. They are inside their game avatar's bodies! Will they concur it like ordinary land or will they enlighten the planet into equality? Do figures pull strings in the dark or is everything open to the public eye? Nothing is certain except the unknown, and nothing is ever as it seems... This is an Isekai story, as such, some parts may sound either cliché or similar to others, but I assure you, I tried to prevent that. To make it known, I took quite a lot of inspiration from the light novel/anime Overlord, but that doesn't mean it's a direct rip-off of it. You'll find there to be quite the amount of differences. Just a little heads up as well, you should expect irregular uploads, as it takes me a long time to write each chapter. I am currently trying for once every other week on Sundays around 10:00 A.M. Chapters are usually 7k words and up, with the longest (chapter 3) being 10.3k words. So, if you like to sit down and read a long chapter every two weeks at 10:00 A.M. EST on Sundays, then you can waste your time here! Small disclaimer: Profanity is far and few between, and mostly used by side characters, rarely the main character. When something with gore happens, I describe to the best of my ability, which will only get better the longer I write this... :) Small cuts between perspectives happen, and can hide what some characters do, which will be revealed in future chapters, I'm not that lazy... all the time... There are some parts that are long blocks of text, most, if not all, of them, are characters talking, but I try not to info dump. I know one of the tags says "Psychological", and for the most part, it is, but it's not as prominent as other stories, instead, it's more hidden and scattered, but I did try to make the pieces I did reveal all fit together. Cover art is bound to be changed when I have a good picture to use, so the Yin-Yang is a placeholder for now unless yall wanna gimme something to use *wink wink nudge nudge*. So yeah, please give it a try, as I have nothing better to do with my life, and I am banking solely off of a career in literature and am hoping that I can create a story that can actually be called something more than a child's imagination running wild. The eventual and inevitable end to the story won't be for a long while, at least till chapter 40 or so. I have thought long and hard about the message and themes at play, so I hope you, the reader (who has some amazing hair btw), can enjoy and partake on this adventure with me into my dark empty pit of an imagination.
