《The Younger Agent - Natasha Romanoff x OC》Chapter 105 - Prison Break

"Yeah, you know what you didn't give me? Time, or money. I'm not made of jets". Eleanor shook her head as Mason stepped out of the what can only be described as a helicopter made purely from broken, spare parts. The trio had a permanent grimace on their face whilst approaching.

"I thought you were supposed to be the best", Yelena piped up, "Like a real pro". Eleanor snorted at this and followed her sister-in-law to the left whilst Natasha veered over to the right.

Mason simply stared at her for a few seconds, the cogs in his brain grinding to a halt before he could answer. "Oh, I beg your pardon, tsarina. Was the free flat and lifetime supply of kissel not to your liking?".

"Ha".

"Don't let her wind you up", Natasha tried to mediate, but Eleanor was just finding the whole situation rather funny, after all, she was trying to distract herself from the fact that she would likely plummet to her death in a tin can quite soon.

"No, I take exception to impugning my professionalism".

Eleanor scoffed, earning curious glances from the others. "What professionalism?", she smirked as Mason's eyebrows shot up and he turned to Nat.

"Are you going to let them speak to me like that?".

Nat shrugged, pretending to be in a mental conflict as she walked towards the back of the helicopter, inspecting the sides of it, "Well, you did set us up with a generator that crapped out after six hours".

"You too, huh?", Mason laughed, "What are you all, a tag team?".

"Aw he's sensitive, I see why you keep him around", Yelena moved to the front of the helicopter, so after laughing at Mason's expense, Eleanor followed mindlessly, not wanting to be stood awkwardly alone in the middle.

"Where's the rest?", Eleanor heard Natasha ask before she zoned out of the conversation, her focus now drawn to Yelena blowing on the front window to create fog. Naturally, Eleanor drew a little smiley in it and turned to face the blonde with a smile on her own face. Yelena acted as though she was completely disinterested at first, but let a small smile out with a snort before walking over to Nat, "You're weird".

This time, she followed Yelena for a reason. Mason was pulling a bag of supplies out for Nat, so she thought it best to pay attention to this part instead of drawing countless amounts of smileys.

"Voila", he revealed and unzipped the bag as the others surrounded him closely.

"Ooh", Yelena picked up a granola bar, and Eleanor's face scrunched up, those things would be like concrete by now.

"Oh, I stashed those like five years ago", Nat informed her, though much to Eleanor's dismay as she wanted to gag, Yelena still took a bite. She was chewing like a horse trying to bite through the hunk of oats, Eleanor had to hold back a laugh.

"Hard as fucking rocks, huh?".

Yelena nodded, "It's dry, it's really dry". She started moving towards the helicopter, but not before tapping Eleanor on the arm and gesturing for her to follow. She turned to her wife with a frown, not expecting it, but when Nat shrugged and bent down to look through the bag, Eleanor promptly entered the jet.

Her fears about dying that day only heightened at looking around, the passenger benches were solid, the walls were seeping with cold, it felt unsteady, immediately she wanted to hop back out. So she did.

Swivelling on the ball of her feet she went to step back outside, but Yelena grabbed the back of her jacket and yanked her back in, earning a squeak from the victim. Eleanor assumed that Nat and Mason would have heard the embarrassing noise escaping from her throat, but she was dragged around the corner before she could see.

"What was that for?", she threw her hands up in the air after stumbling back a step.

"I want to make sure you're not going to go and plead your case to your wife about sitting in the co-pilot".

Eleanor's eyes bulged, "You cannot seriously be saying that you're shoving me into the back again?!".

"That is exactly what I am saying, Eleanor Hughes".

"No, I refuse, there's no way I'm sitting at the back again".

---

"You comfy back there?".

Eleanor grumbled at the blonde's teasing tone, and slumped further into the bench, her arms crossed, a permanent scowl planted on her face with a white suit identical to Natasha's. "Oh leave her alone", Natasha sighed whilst removing her headphones and heading over to Eleanor. Yelena just gave a victorious smirk.

"How you doing, детка?", Nat crouched down and placed her hands on Eleanor's knees, giving her a gentle smile even though she was pouting like a child who had just been told they can't have any sweets.

"My ass hurts".

"What ass?", Yelena shouted back, Eleanor's head snapping over to look at the front, her scowl managing to deepen further.

She harshly stood, forcing Natasha up with her, "You know what, Belova?", she made a move to walk towards the front but Nat forced her down by her shoulders, a grunt being forced out of the younger woman as her body hit the hard material with a thud.

"Sit down", Nat pinched the bridge of her nose, exasperated with the whole situation, "You know, I really thought that you two would get along like a house on fire".

Yelena turned around, her head tilted, "We do?". Natasha turned to face Eleanor who was looking at her with an identical head tilt, accompanied by a nod. She looked between the both of them for a few seconds, not able to understand their dynamic at all.

"You know what, never mind, just turn around and fly this damn thing". Yelena obeyed and Nat turned back to face her wife, "I don't know what I'm going to do with the two of you", she crouched down again, an amused smile dancing across her lips.

"Not what you were expecting?", Eleanor smirked and Nat shook her head.

She mouthed a 'no' before planting herself down on the bench, "We have a few minutes before we arrive at the prison, so in that time you can have a better seat", Nat hoisted Eleanor up onto her lap sideways, wrapping her arms around her waist. It had been a few days since she had been able to properly just sit and be with her, so this was for both of their benefits.

"Oh, I think I'm going to throw up". Nat and Eleanor looked to the front to see Yelena staring at them, disgusted.

"Can you just pilot for crying out loud?". Eleanor laughed at Nat's continuous misfortune during this ride, which only made Nat groan and place her forehead against Eleanor's shoulder, mumbling "It's not funny", but Eleanor could practically feel her smiling.

"Oh sweetheart, but it is", Eleanor spoke with sympathy, but her words showing the opposite.

"You suck".

Eleanor smirked, "I am pretty good-".

With wide eyes, Nat slapped her hand over Eleanor's mouth, "Do not finish that sentence", she laughed, but quickly made a noise of disgust when Eleanor licked her hand. "You are so gross, when did you get like this?", she continued to laugh and wiped her hand on Eleanor's arm.

"When we got married", Eleanor hummed in thought, "I knew at that point you couldn't return me, that's why I burnt our marriage certificate".

"You what?".

"Well I couldn't have you owning a receipt to this could I?", she gestured up and down her body with her arms, but when Nat continued staring at her as though she had just grown another head, Eleanor snickered, "I didn't actually burn our marriage certificate you goon, who do you think I am?".

"A soon-to-be divorcee", Nat tilted her head.

Eleanor took this as a challenge, "You wouldn't leave me, who would make your peanut butter sandwiches every day?". The next thing she knew she was on the floor, yet another embarrassing squeak exiting her as she hit the metal with a thump, watching as Nat sauntered back to the front with a smirk.

---

The plan devised was genius in Eleanor's opinion, though it wasn't a surprise seeing as it had come from Natasha. Whilst contacting Mason about the 'jet' when Eleanor had Yelena were asleep, she had also managed to wrangle together an idea of how to get Alexei out of the isolated prison building via a Red Guardian action figure concealing an earpiece.

Eleanor stood in the middle of the two front seats, a hand on each one as she leaned over to get a view from the front, sick of being in the back. Tensions were running relatively high as each one of the trio knew that there was only one chance to get this right, so when the tablet in Yelena's hand lit up confirming that Alexei had found his earpiece, there was a collective sigh of relief.

"Today is your lucky day, Alexei", Natasha looked over to the floor plan on the tablet that doubled as a tracking device for the Russian supersoldier, "Move to the door on the south wall". They smiled when the little green dot began to move in the right direction. "Go left, just don't make a scene".

A few moments of silence passed as he carefully made his way through the facility and all that could be heard was the whirring of the helicopter blades, but then Eleanor almost jumped out of her skin when through her headphones she could suddenly hear the clanging of metal and the yelling of some very angry inmates. "Oh lord".

"You made a scene didn't you?".

"What now?", the gruff voice of Alexei sounded through as Nat and Yelena worked on moving the helicopter to his position.

"We're getting you outta here". Chaos began to ensue on the floor below, forcing a grimace out of Eleanor as she watched stampedes of people come from every direction towards the man in the middle, he really had caused a scene.

Armed guards swiftly entered the scene, large guns in hand as alarms started blaring. Immediately they started firing at inmates and throwing flares down at them to regain control. "Okay, so not the greatest development", Eleanor sighed.

"Go to the upper level", Nat instructed, though due to the altercations below it was taking Alexei a hot minute to follow, "Move your ass, supersoldier". He scaled the wall with impressive speed, it looked as though he was going to make it, but then a guard electrocuted him and he fell back to the floor. Ouch.

"He's never going to make it", Yelena shook her head, and Eleanor couldn't help but agree.

"Get me closer". Yelena and Eleanor looked at Nat as though she was crazy, "You got a better idea? Oh and you're coming too", she gestured to her wife, removing her headphones and heading to the back.

Yelena let out a loud laugh as Eleanor's face dropped, but she too quickly removed her headphones and helped Nat open the door and prep the rope for their descent. "Be careful", Eleanor looked at her sternly.

"Always", Nat smirked before grasping the rope and making her descent, finishing with a backflip onto the metal walkway, landing in her signature pose.

"Such a poser", Yelena rolled her eyes, and Eleanor laughed before crouching down and grabbing the top of the rope with both hands. After a quick, deep breath she hopped out, sliding down the rope at high speed, feeling the bottom section moving slightly from where Natasha was swinging the metal end at people's heads. When at a reasonable, yet still risky height, she jumped off, landing right on top of a guard.

"Woo!", she yelled from the adrenaline and stood immediately punching a guard right between the eyes, making him crumple to the floor like a sheet of paper. With a quick look over to Natasha to make sure she was okay, Eleanor continued her assault on the group of guards on her side of the walkway, trying her best to avoid the gunfire, though that was mainly being aimed at the helicopter.

Ducking to avoid a punch, she shoved a guard over the railing before aiming a kick at the one trying to sneak up behind her, taking down man after man. It had been a while since she had been in a fight like this, so even though she would never admit it out loud she was enjoying the cathartic feeling of being able to punch some of her frustrations away.

When it was safe to do so, Eleanor jogged over to Natasha who had just knocked her last guard to the floor. Natasha smiled at seeing Eleanor by her side, uninjured. "You good?", the younger woman asked, a bit more breathless than usual.

Though a response from Nat would never be heard, as both women's heads snapped over to the side at hearing the helicopter way too close to comfort, panic coursed through them at seeing the back rotor swinging right at their heads.

Immediately Nat's hand found its way between Eleanor's shoulder blades as she threw both of them to the floor. "Seriously?", she shouted up at her sister.

"Sorry!".

"Fucking hell", Eleanor grunted as Nat hoisted her back onto her feet, following Natasha in a brief jog to the middle of the walkway that was now being blocked by the helicopter hovering insanely low.

"What are you doing? Are you kidding me? Back up!", Nat yelled again whilst shaking her batons like someone on a runway, Eleanor pursed her lips behind her to stifle a laugh.

Yelena put a thumb up, "We're all doing a really good job!", she then moved the helicopter safely back up into the sky, both women on the walkway glad to still have their heads attached to their bodies.

"Okay I can try and distract those lot over there whilst you go in Alexei's direction-", Eleanor started, with Nat nodding along to her plan, but once again both of them were interrupted by a loud noise that they shouldn't be hearing. "Oh for fuck sake", Eleanor mumbled at seeing one of the watchtowers explode thanks to Yelena, but the mild irritation was soon once again replaced with panic at seeing masses amounts of snow falling from the surrounding mountains.

"A fucking avalanche?", Eleanor shouted before turning around to face Nat who was already looking at her, worry filling her eyes before facing the impending disaster that was now coming for them.

The heavy rumbling noise only continued getting louder as they stared at it. "Tell me that's a good sign for us?", Alexei shouted up to them, audible through the earpiece.

"Move your ass!", Nat leaned on the railing to yell down at him.

"Yeah, I think we should start moving our asses too", Eleanor turned to face Nat, her jaw agape slightly.

"Mhm", Nat put a hand up to her own mouth to shout up at Yelena, "Get us outta here!". The two watched as Yelena manoeuvred the helicopter, "Go, I'll be right behind you", Nat pushed Eleanor forward, and the two took off at a sprint along the walkway, Eleanor praying that her boots had enough traction to not make her fall and eat shit on the slippy metal as her legs moved faster than they had done in years, her ears listening out for the pounding of Nat's boots behind her on the metal.

Seeing the helicopter still moving forward, and therefore the rope, Eleanor forced herself to surge forward more and vaulted over the railing, her body doing a brief free fall before she grasped onto the rope.

Without a second to even think about it, she leaned back and held out her hand just in time for Natasha to catch it, who had already made the jump herself. With the momentum Natasha was then able to lower herself onto the portion of the rope below Eleanor, her head right by her feet, both women wrapping an ankle around the rope for support.

The cold air whipped through them as they were transported around the facility in midair. Eleanor's eyes stung as they gained speed, but her main focus was on how close the tidal wave of snow was to reaching them. It was surrounding them at an incomprehensible rate, along with the explosions occurring simultaneously.

Time was ticking, so Eleanor was very relieved when Yelena managed to navigate around the facility and into the middle of the walkway, they were cutting it close to not retrieving Alexei on time. "Come on come on", Eleanor mumbled as she saw Nat reach her hand out, before only seeing white as the snow hit them.

The freeze was intense, and a gasp forced its way out of Eleanor's lungs, which didn't help at all because she just ended up spluttering on a mouthful of snow, but luckily Yelena managed to lift the helicopter and they were back out into the regular cold air of Russia.

Looking down, Eleanor smiled at seeing Alexei clinging onto the metal hook on the bottom. They hadn't lost him to an avalanche.

"You did it!", Eleanor shouted down, finding it hard to hear how loud she was being with the wind smacking her eardrums.

"Yeah", Nat smiled up at her and rested her forehead on Eleanor's calf, panting to get her breath back after that anxiety-inducing prison break, and ignoring the fact that a man who she had resented for years was right next to her.
