"Hmm, are you sure?" asked Tay. His tone was still dubious. His eyes stared at the lover's face.

New nodded then smiled a little. "I'm sure. It's okay, Te."

The man in front of New returned to check the time on his watch. Tay's gesture seemed in a hurry. Both of his hands grabbed New's hands then held tightly. "Wait for me, will you? I'm trying to get over it fast. Okay, honey?"

New's nod made Tay finally feel less doubtful. He briefly kissed his lover's lips then walked quickly out of the house, New followed from behind to the doorway.

New looked up, the sky's apparent. A colour mix of blue, white, and gray. Cloudy, it will rain. "Te, looks like it's going to rain. You don't bring an umbrella?"

Tay's head emerged from the car doorway, he tilted his head up and shook his head. "It'll just be a moment, after all the sky still looks bright!"

"But—"

"I'll be okay, Hin, don't worry about me!"

Then, the car door closed by Tay. The sound of it starting up was heard and moments later the car was crossing the highway through the city.

New who was still in the doorway could only sigh. His eyes also looked at some of the umbrellas in a wooden tube in the corner of entrance.

Alright. I'd better finish the stock of ice cream left in the fridge!
