《To Be Loved By A Mikaelson | Hayley Marshal》Mr. Heed My Warning

Gabriel chuckles when he hears Caroline's loud groan from the kitchen. She stomps into the room looking frustrated beyond belief. "When Elijah kidnapped me we had just found out Elena was in some kind of coma from Kai and Bonnie was trying to get her out of it. She's probably awake now and I'm angry I can't be there because of-" she stops herself from finishing.
"My family?" He offers with a small smile.
"I didn't mean it like that." She sighs.
He places the spatula onto the counter and pulls her into his chest. "I know, I know. But you are here because of my family and for that I apologize."
"It's not your fault." She whispers into his chest. "I know it wasn't you that taught them to behave like animals."
He pulls away and gives her a slightly amused look. Rubbing her arm he smiles. "How about as soon as this situation is dealt with I come back to mystic falls with you and if Bonnie hasn't already found a way to help Elena than I will."
She looks up to him in slight suspicion. " would help "
"I would help ." He cheekily replies.
She smiles at him but it slowly fades. "And poor Ric... I can't believe someone killed Jo on her own wedding day. Her twin brother!"
"The longer you live the more you'll find it's harder to believe people still do nice things in the world and less surprised by the cruel things."
"That's morbid." She rolls her eyes.
"It's true."
"Care to share your plan you've been cooking up with Klaus?" She questions with a pointed look.
"Hm." He pretends to make a thinking gesture. "No, I think you'd be safer not knowing until it's happening."
"How can you be so calm? Klaus has been daggered, that's never happened in the history of a thousand years." Caroline groans.
"Don't forget it was a dagger that I, myself planted in Marcellus's home." He smirks.
Caroline's huffs. "I have no clue how you think of such deranged plans so quickly."

"It comes with the age, love." He shrugs.
Caroline watches him throw his coat on with a slight frown. "Do you really need to go?"
He turns and sighs to himself. "I do. Out of everyone I promised to stay out of the way of Nik's punishment for Hayley. Mom and dad things I suppose. I just want to try to change her mind one last time before he has the chance."
"What do you think he's going to do to her?" Caroline bites her bottom lip nervously.
Gabriel slowly walks towards his woman and pulls her lip out from between her teeth with his thumb. "I don't know, Care. Regardless of everything she is still Hopes mother. I just hope my little brother takes that into account when he's plotting."
"I'm not exactly a fan of Hayley's but Hopes been away from her mother long enough don't you think?" Caroline whispers sadly.
"I know, I know. But she's doing the same exact thing by trying to take hope from him right now. They're both clearly scared and delusional." He sighs.
Caroline nods understandingly. She lays her hands on his chest and pecks his lips. "Be safe."
Hope is Cooing in Hayley's arms as Jackson walks toward Aidens shallow grave and pulls the marker he had made out of the ground. Hayley was right, Aiden deserved a proper burial. Jackson sends her a small thank you smile and walks toward the pack leaving Hayley deep in thought.
It isn't till Jackson is out of hearing range that Gabriel makes his entrance.
Hope sensed him before she saw him as she started excitingly kicking her legs and wiggling in her moms arms.
"I missed you too, littlest wolf." Gabriel appears right in-front of them making Hayley gasp.
She takes a step back knowing he hadn't been in contact with his siblings for days and that he thought Caroline was safely on her trip in Mystic falls but was really in the cellars.
Or so she thought.
"Gabriel." Hayley quietly whispers. "What are you doing here?"
Hayley hesitantly allows Gabriel to take Hope out of her arms as she squeals even louder than before.

His smile becomes genuine once their eyes lock. "My tribrid heart can't take it, darling. Stop growing up so fast."
Hope gives him what seems to be a calculating look and simply latches onto the sleeve of his coat.
Gabriel tsks. "I should've known my littlest wolf wouldn't allow me to leave with all my clothing. Your really harming my wardrobe Hope."
"Gabriel." Hayley pushes.
Gabriel sighs and glances up at the obviously stressed hybrid mother. "I hoped I could try to convince you not to do this."
Hayley looks to the ground shaking her head. "I can't stay. Every where we turn in New Orleans there's one of your brothers enemies or a part of your family looking to take her away in some way. She was born on an alter to be sacrificed Gabriel!"
"I understand your concerns." He looks down to Hope and frowns. "But fleeing New Orleans and forcing Hope away from her family is not going to take the target off of her back. Nothing would change besides four less originals always there to protect her."
"She has an entire pack behind her." Hayley protests.
Gabriel raises a brow semi amused. "I could rip every one of your heads off with no magic in less than ten seconds. Like it or not but your at the bottom of the food pyramid."
"We're not staying Gabriel." She frowns, already having made up her mind. "Hope needs to grow up around loving people, not siblings being put into coffins and death always at her door."
Gabriel shrugs his jacket off and gently hands Hayley back Hope who was now resting her head on his coat placed over the hybrids shoulder.
"Believe it or not Hayley, there's never been even a second since the moment any of us found out about Hope we didn't love her. There's not any of us that wouldn't lay our lives down on the line to protect her. The difference is, we can't be killed. Our love and protection is infinite. I only came to ask so perhaps you wouldn't need to face Niklaus's wrath once he awakes."
And with that he turned around and walks away with out another word.
Hayley stands there regretting her words. She should've stated that never once did she think Gabriel specifically didn't love Hope enough to keep her safe.
"Hayley?" Jackson questions from behind her. Glancing back and fourth between herself and the jacket on her shoulder.
Her eyes beg him not to ask and so of course he doesn't.
Dahlia is still in the tomb, where she is continuing to rub her fingers with the blood in a stone cauldron. After a moment, a still-weakened Klaus stumbles through the cemetery until he makes it to Dahlia's hideout.
Dahlia smiles. "I knew you were the smartest of your siblings. There's no brute Viking blood in those veins. I'm glad to see you made the right decision."
Klaus glares. "I never cared for Hayley. But, you should know, the rest of my family will stand against us in defense of her."
"We will have to go through them. Are you prepared for that?"
"They have earned everything that's coming to them." Klaus limps toward the woman.
"And what of your older brother, Gabriel?" She skeptically questions.
"Gabriel shall not be a problem because it seems Elijah has taken his dearest lover hostage." Klaus explains, but to him he really had no clue that Gabriel had saved Caroline already. He wanted to help the blonde tied in the basement but he was afraid of ruining any of Gabriel's plans. Surely he had a plan if Caroline had sat there for two days straight.
"We need to hurry. Even now, Hayley is attempting to flee with my child." Klaus changed the subject not wanting the witch to ask too many questions about his brother.
Dahlia starts throwing a few ingredients into a larger brown with a smirk. "Mmm, don't worry. She won't get far tonight."
From the window of his apartment Gabriel stands with his head on Caroline's both watching the clouds suddenly turn dark and swirl into a perfect storm.
"It's begun." Gabriel whispers.

Even with the introduction of system progression stats, magical powers, and contracts with otherworldly creatures, all signs point toward the earth and its people getting subjugated. The Great Game was now populated by players from millions of different civilisations across countless galaxies. Kichiro's Rampage
Meet Kichiro, the son of a samurai. A social outcast, he leaves his home with nothing but a musket and a sword, determined to carve himself a niche in a chaotic world of dragons and leviathans. This fiction incorporates LitRPG elements, but it's not set in a VR. It's set in a fantastical world based loosely on East Asia in the 16th and 17th Century, when the Ming Dynasty was on its last legs, with the addition of magic and monsters. I totally stole the stat tables from Exterminatus, the author of Everybody Loves Large Chests, so let me credit him for that. I'm new to writing so please don't hesitate to criticise, and reviews would be greatly appreciated.
