Gabriel pulls out a seat for Caroline at a cute little cafe with outdoor seating. "This is the kind of thing I came to New Orleans for." Caroline sighs in content.

Gabriel takes a seat beside her, purposely leaving the seats infront of them empty and chuckles. "Really? So it wasnt for the murderous witches and supernatural wars?"

She side eyes him in disbelief. "Please, I don't know what's worse. Mystic Falls or New Orleans."

"Hmmm well, the Mikaelson family now resides in New Orleans so I would go with the latter." Gabriel pretends to think, Caroline laughs and shoves his shooulder. "I'm glad to be here with you." She admits.

"Is there any way I can convince you to stay here with me forever?" Gabriel questions while nudging an eyebrow in a suggestive way.

"Are we interrupting, brother?" A voice cheekily questions, although his face showed a bit of disgust.

Gabriel turns his head to the voice and his smile lifts. "Davina, Kol, you're late. Have a seat."

"Dad, is something wrong? Is it your bond?" Davina gets straight to the point and Gabriel's heart melts at her worry. He shakes his head and squeezes her hand in reasurrance from across the table. "Nothing of that sort. Caroline and I have been doing some thinking and we think its best if you both leave town for the moment." He confesses.

"What?!" Davina questions disbelief and Kol chokes on his drink in surprise.

"If it is true, and it is, that Dahlia is back there's going to be a very big fight." Gabriel replies, now looking in Kol's direction. "And as you already know our family is ususally more divided than ever whenever something this big happens and I dont need either of you becoming collateral damage to Nik or Lijah."

"And yet you're not sending your precious Rebekah away." Kol accuses, still feeling slightly petty over Gabriel allowing him to think he was going to die.

"Kol." Caroline calls. All three of of them face her direction and Kol is dumbfounded by the pure sincerity on her face. "We just want what's best for you. If we're being honest, Rebekah has Marcel, Elijah, and Gabriel looking after her safety. Both you and Davina only have Gabriel and I." Caroline explains in a brutal yet honest way. Gabriel nods and adds onto her statement. "Correct, right now the target is Hope therefor I need all my focus to be on her safety. Surely you both understand that I cannot afford to be fighting all of my siblings and protecting Hope from Dahlia all at once?"

Kol and Davina are silent for a second a they let it all sink in. Davina is the first to speak. "Dad, we understand. You don't have to worry about us." She promises, Kol nodding in agreement.

"I have some cash and directions to where you two will be staying laid out in your room at the apartment." He tells them both. "Do not tell anyone that you guys are leaving, I'll take care of Marcel and Josh." He promises back.

Both the pairs stand up and Gabriel gives Davina a hug, Caroline's eyes widen when Kol pulls her in for one as well. "Take care of my big brother, will you?"

She looks up to him in understanding and nods her head. "Always."

"Ive always liked you better than that wench, Hayley-" He starts to rant but Gabriel and Davina both clear their throats at the same time holding the same deadpan face. "Right. Well then, call me if you need anything brother. We'll be on our way."

Gabriel and Caroline walk into the compound hand in hand where they see Klaus, Elijah, and Freya sitting in the dining room somewhat awkwardly. Taking a seat away from them all Klaus clears his throat. "It's about time brother, I was starting to think you stood us up."

"I'm just what Rebekah would call me, fashionably late." Gabriel shrugs. He eyes a little wooden artifact in Freya's hand he knows she grabbed from somewhere in the compound. "Carry on."

"This witch-hoop. It's Danish. Is this from when you lived all in Copenhagen in the 1500s?" Freya random questions, as if they were just meeting for a casually sit down.

"Quite the eye!" Klaus entertains.

Elijah growing more impatient, having been there longer than Gabriel clears his throat. "Forgive me. Are we here to discuss family heirlooms, or do we have more pressing concerns?"

"I apologize Freya, please excuse my brother's lack of decorum, he's been in a foul mood as of late. But, he is right. My brother's and I did ask you here in the hopes that you would share some of Dahlia's secrets. And I, in particular would like to know the history of it all." Gabriel comments, gathering all the attention in the room.

Freya eyes Caroline up and down in a slightly judge-mental way. "I apologize if I'm overstepping, but I thought this was a family discussion."

"You are overstepping, but I will accept your apology." Gabriel stoically responds, grabbing Carolines hand in his own and staring Freya in the eyes intimidatingly, daring her to say more.

Klaus and Elijah both eye each other in slight amusement. There's very few ways to tick Gabriel off and their long lost sister had made the mistake of finding a very large one. "Caroline here is family, Freya. More so than you, but carry on." Klaus waves a hand in dismissal.

Freya awkwardly clears her throat feeling uncomfortable and frankly intimidated by her one and only older brother. "The first thing you should know is that Dahlia is the most powerful witch I've ever seen. She craves more power still. Right now she is like me, limited to one year of life in a century. But, she wants to be free of that restriction. To gain true immortality. And that is why she will come here, drawn by your daughter to take the child's power for herself. And she would kill anyone who would defy her."

"And yet you would defy her?" Elijah questions in genuine curiosity.

Freya gravely shakes her head. "I don't have a choice. She will never let me be free. My one chance is to align with you and kill her."

Caroline once again watches how Elijah and Klaus do most of the talking and Gabriel simply sits back and analyzes everyone in the room until he needs to speak or ask a question. He doesn't waste time like Elijah trying to keep Klaus in check he simply watches the way Freya reacts to Klaus's snarky comments. The way her eyes twitch when shes annoyed or the way her eyes slightly narrow at the hybrid and Gabriel's protective instincts as the brother is to tense up, ready to put a stop to anything she does.

"After taking me from my family, Dahlia used me to forge a new brand of connective magic, one that augmented my power even as it allowed her to draw from me. Once we were bonded, Dahlia became unstoppable. Over the course of a thousand years, she's only grown stronger." Turning to Klaus she says, "And she will bring all her power to bear against you when she comes for your child."

"Freya." Gabriel calls, his voice more curious than anything. "She takes the first born. Why you, and not me?"

All the brothers turn towards her, curious as well. Freya looks to the floor with furrowed brows, looking almost upset. "When she came you were ill. On your death bed, Dahlia said. But even then your power was astronomical. Because you were the first born and a hybrid. Dahlia was furious with Esther. If she combined your power with her's she would have died. No witch could handle that much power, Dahlia immediately knew that Esther had an affair on purpose. Esther had found a loophole, the only problem was that Dahlia had figured it out and threatened to tell Mikael about everything. Finn's potential as a witch was feeble, so our mother offered her the next best thing, me."

Gabriel is stunned, as are the rest of the supernatural in the room. "She had an affair with a wolf hoping I would only be just that, but when I was born a hybrid she came up with a new plan. It would have taken Dahlia out."

"You don't remember much of me because you were deathly ill for a long time, at least that's what Esther said. Really it was your werewolf and witch side clashing, hybrids are not meant to exist." Freya nods.

Gabriel's phone ringing knocks them all out of their thoughts. Caroline sensing that they needed a moment to process offers to take Gabriel's phone into the hall. Peeking at all the brothers and the female Mikaelson from the hall Caroline picks up the phone. "Rebekah? Is everything alright?"

"Feels as if I walked straight into a brick wall. Why are you answering my brothers phone? Has there been any luck with Freya?" She questions.

"Luck is not the word that I would use." Caroline whispers. She looks back at Gabriel once again seeing him in slight shock and thought still. "Your brother is in slight shock and I think he's probably feeling some guilt right about now. You should be here."

"Fine. I'm on my way now." She hangs up.

As Caroline walks back to the group she sighs as she realizes Klaus is antagonizing the witch again. "Your stories are fascinating, and Dahlia does indeed sound dreadful, but the Mikaelson brothers have killed our fair share of evil witches."

Freya shakes her head. "Not like her."

"What are her weaknesses?" Elijah questions.

Caroline takes her seat beside Gabriel once again. "It was Rebekah, shes coming." Gabriel nods, giving her a kiss on the forehead in thanks.

"She's paranoid, obsessed with power. She hungers constantly for what's been denied her, be it love or revenge." Freya replies, unable to help himself Gabriel snorts as Caroline and Elijah's eyes both drift to Niklaus who was feigning innocence.

"Yes. I think I'm familiar with the type." Gabriel responds in amusement.

"When I was a child, she would tell me tales of her own youth, of being victimized by those stronger than her. Dahlia vowed never to be weak again. She bargained for the firstborn of Esther's bloodline, intending to raise us in her own image, forming a coven of her own from which she could draw endless power. That plan was foiled the day she learned that Esther had ended her bloodline by turning her children into vampires. And so the burden fell to me. Dahlia demanded I bear the firstborn that would add to her power, but I would not allow a child of mine to live as I did, as a slave. So I vowed never to love, never to have a child of my own." She begins to cry as she what Gabriel could assume thinks back to some dark memories of her own. He feels pity for her, they all understand what it's like to have any thought of a family ripped from you, of course Gabriel and Klaus are the exception but that wasn't until recently.

"Of course, the more I resisted, the harder Dahlia fought to control me... Until the day when she took the last of what little freedom I had left. And so we slept, our magic accruing over time...until we woke, filled with immense power and allowed to live a single year of life. That has been the existence I have suffered for the last 10 centuries." She finishes.

Gabriel sighs and Caroline glares when Klaus begins to sarcastically laugh. "Ha ha ha! Well... It's quite the ordeal, isn't it? But it does beg the question why not end it yourself? A high enough bridge, a tight enough noose. You must have considered it."

She closes her eyes. "Long ago, I did consider it, but Dahlia would never give me even that freedom. I would later learn the spell made me like her... Immortal and impervious to harm. So you see, I am like you, a creature of great power cursed for all time."

Gabriel and Caroline share a look, worried for what this changes. How do you kill an immortal witch?

Rebekah has recently arrived and the three brothers and Caroline listen to what she has to update about her situation. "It was this witch Eva. The nasty, little cow is inside me, trying to bust her way out."

Elijah looks to Klaus and Gabriel. "Freya is waiting downstairs. Perhaps..."

"Have you lost your mind? Tell me we're not considering opening our sister's head to someone we barely know." Klaus interrupts. Caroline casts Gabriel a glance silently asking him if he was going to out him self to save Rebekah. He unnoticeable shakes his head, he was hesitant about Freya still but he knew her will to get away from their aunt was bigger than anything. She would help them, it wasn't worth him giving away his only surprise move.

Rebekah looks to Klaus in frustration. "Nik, for God's sake, she is our sister. Plus, Gabriel's magic is still on the fritz."

"An act no doubt meant to secure your trust, perhaps for this very moment, to strike when we are vulnerable. No. We've no way to prove that anything she said today is true. What about Davina?" He questions, turning to Gabriel.

"I've sent her and Kol away until this Dahlia mess is done and over with." He shrugs. Elijah sighs. "Niklaus, I understand your concern. Both of us are powerless to help our sister. Now either we leave Rebekah to suffer, or we place our faith in the hands of someone I believe to be our blood. Right now, I'm inclined to give the benefit of the doubt to family." When no one objects he nods his head. Very well, I'll retrieve her."

"Was it really wise to send our only ally witch and our brother away during the times we may need them the most?" Klaus questions in anger.

"Niklaus, you would do well to remember Davina is family not an ally and Kol is in a very vulnerable body as it is. I sent them away for their own good as much as it is yours." Gabriel scoffs in annoyance.

Klaus steps up with a glare. "What is that suppose to mean?"

Gabriel accepting the challenge steps towards his brother as well. Chest to chest he calmly states. "If anything were to happen to either of them and its due to an idiotic move you made, I would have disconnected your head from your body and buried it hundreds of feet below the surface of the earth. Never to see the day of light again. Is that clear enough for you?"

Caroline and Rebekah nervously glance at each other. Nik challenging Gabriel was never anything good.

Elijah and Freya interrupt the encounter, Rebekah clearing the tension filled room by bringing Freya into a hug. "It's good to see you again. Though I'd prefer better circumstances."

"You needn't worry. Elijah explained the problem, and I can help." Freya sincerely says only to be once again interrupted by Klaus' mutter. "Rather confident, aren't we?"

"The spirit of the host body is powerful, but I can cast a spell, put you in a deep sleep, and then suppress this other essence. You'll be just fine." Freya continues, ignoring the hybrid.

Rebekah nervously glances to Gabriel for reassurance, who in turn nods his head letting her know that was all correct and possible. "Lovely. When do we start?"

Klaus loudly groans. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me. She spouts off some magical diagnosis, and we are all supposed to applaud."

Gabriel grunts in annoyance, Caroline rubs his back in the hopes of calming him down before Klaus got a proper beat down they all knew was about due. "For the sake of keeping our options open, why not write down your spells and incantations? That way, we can have them double-checked by an impartial third party, say Gabriel."

"I doubt he could understand my magic, let alone have the power to execute it." Freya defends, Gabriel not offended in the least shrugs. Letting them all begin to doubt his power and knowledge would be the smartest move he could make. Now both Elijah and Klaus knew the extent of his power and knowledge was nearly endless but when he didn't say anything back even Klaus decided to keep his mouth shut about it. Gabriel had a plan, he realized. And so, he kept playing his part as the paranoid hybrid brother. "Oh. So you're our only hope then? Seems rather convenient, doesn't it?"

Freya begins to look a bit hurt by his comments. "I knew it would be difficult to win your trust, Niklaus. Your reputation precedes you... But if we are to face Dahlia together, you will have to trust me. Given the peril that Rebekah now faces, are you truly incapable of giving me even a chance to prove myself?"

Klaus merely rolls his eyes and turns around prompting her to speak to the other siblings. "I know I appear as an outsider, but I have dreamt of you all for a thousand years. Elijah, when you were in Esther's womb, she would ask me to sing to you. I would feel her belly as I did. Heh. How you would kick. She would say, "It was as if Thor himself had raised his hammer"

"And summoned thunder and lightning." He finishes. They both share a slight moment and smile at each other. "There is nothing that can replace what was taken from us, but I hope we can make something better in its place. All you have to do is trust me. "

Gabriel sees it coming before anyone else but makes no move to stop him as Klaus speeds to Freya and breaks her neck. Rebekah tried to intervene but wasn't fast enough. "Nik!"

Klaus simply smirks. "Well, that's enough of that don't you think? Right. Now we can have a proper family meeting."

Rebekah checks on the witch's body that was now sprawled across the floor and is furious. Klaus and Elijah both pace the floor thinking about different things. Gabriel and Caroline on the other hand just watch as everything progresses.

"Was that absolutely necessary?" Rebekah snarls in anger. "And Gabriel! Why didn't you stop him?"

"Oh, please. She was insufferable and obviously your precious big brother agrees with me or he could've easily stopped me." Klaus snaps back, annoyed his siblings weren't seeing things the same way as he did.

Elijah points at him. "That was ridiculous even for you."

Klaus groans. "You've only just met her. Let's not get sentimental. Besides, if she was telling the truth about being immortal, she'll awaken shortly. If she was lying, good riddance."

"Yes. Of course, if she wakes, she'll be willing to help us with unbridled enthusiasm." Elijah's voice filled with sarcasm.

Klaus scoffs. " She played you both for fools. Can you not see that? She spins a sad yarn about a small child taken by an evil witch, and you both fall over yourselves to mend what's broken! At least Gabriel agrees with me."

"Never said I agreed with you." Gabriel adds in to which Klaus sends him a scorching look.

"How can you be so certain?" Rebekah questions Niklaus.

Klaus shrugs. "Simple. It's exactly what I'd do."

Gabriel dead pans and rubs the bridge off his nose between his fingers.

Elijah kneels beside Freya's body. "Well, whatever the truth may be, she's in no position to help us now."

Rebekah glares furiously in Klaus's direction. "Well, then we should try Marcel. Perhaps he's had luck on his end. Surely he's put in a better effort."

She storms out with out shooting anyone else a glance and Elijah is quick to follow with a glare in both of his brothers directions. Once they've left Klaus looks to Gabriel. "What is your plan?"

Gabriel is quite until he knows they've left the compound. "Niklaus, I am your big brother."

"Yes, Gabriel. Thank you for stating the obvious." Klaus rolls his eyes.
