《To Be Loved By A Mikaelson | Hayley Marshal》MR. FORGIVENESS

Klaus, Gabriel, and elijah are having breakfast in the dining room with Kol and Vincent still bound to their cuffs that prevent them from doing magic. Servants that have been compelled place platters of breakfast pastries on the table.
Gabriel sits at the head of the table with Kol on one side of him and Klaus on the other. "Today, a new future awaits. Forget your animosity toward Elijah and myself. Instead, join us against she who truly deserves your ire: our mother." Klaus announces.
Kol rolls his eyes and Finn gazes at them all bored. "Do this, and we will welcome you with open arms!"
"Well..." Kol sighs as he reaches for a plate of pastries with his shackled hands but Klaus pulls the plate away from his reach. "But, if you continue to oppose us, a denial of pastries will be the least of your concerns!"
Gabriel scowls at Klaus and pushes the plate of pastries back into Kol's reach. Klaus growls in anger at his brother and Kol look towards him smugly. Flicking his forehead, hard, Kol lets out an 'ow!'
"Behave." Gabriel growls.
"If all you wanted was my allegiance against Mother Dearest, you should have said so! Save me a night shackled to the wall." Kol happily replies as he takes a bite of a powdered pastry.
Elijah clears his throat. "Yes, this was Niklaus. My recommendation was to remove your limbs, one by one, until you comply."
Gabriel throws a pastry at Elijahs head, rolling his eyes when he dodges it. It was blatantly obvious that Elijah was having a harder time dealing with his trauma than Gabriel was.
Klaus on the other hand finds Elijahs small outburst amusing. "We've... we've no desire to torture you. Provided you vow to stand beside us!"
Finn shrugs out of his brothers grip on his shoulder. "Brothers... Does that word even apply to us? After all these centuries of betrayal? And, has loyalty to you ever rewarded? If so, tell me, Niklaus, where is our sister, Rebekah?"
"She was blindly loyal to you for a thousand years, and now? Nowhere to be found. Where did our sister go? And, how did she escape your vile machinations?" Finn goads.
"Do not speak of sister!" Gabriel flashes his amber eyes in warning.
"Ah, still ever so overprotective over your dear baby sister." Finn muses. "And what of your precious little brother Kol, whom you allow to be chained here, defenseless against our vile brothers."
"Oh stop nagging me you old bore." Gabriel scoffs. "Kol has gotten himself in trouble and I will protect him from any unearned punishments."
Klaus becomes nervous at the fact that he continues to bring up Rebekah but covers it up with a chuckle. "Heh! You think me vile? What, then, do you make of the one who cursed us?"
Finn becomes frustrated with his brothers inability to see that they're mother was just trying to help them. "She was trying to make you mortal again! And, you both refused her." He laughs darkly. "It only proves how far you've fallen. But, I expect Rebekah will have a different response to her proposal. See, unlike the three of you, she always did cling to her humanity."
"Rebekah is off-limits to you. You pursue her, and you will suffer." Elijah seethes.
Finn and Kol both look surprised by his outburst and so does Klaus. But Gabriel was already used to it, seeing as his patience and irritability had both seemed to go south.

"Do not let him goad you, Elijah. Neither he, nor Esther, will find Rebekah unless she wants to be found. And she does not." He says his last words towards Finn.
Finn smirks. "Esther is quite determined. She's been searching for Rebekah since the day she returned. I imagine it's only a matter of time."
Elijah completely loses his temper. He grabs Finn by the collar and slams him onto the table before bumping out and deeming on him.
Kol looks absolutely terrified and Gabriel simply watches from his chair. No longer willing to save Finn, he really didn't care for Finn at the moment. He was right, his precious little brother was here and he was going to protect him.
Klaus has pulled Elijah away from Finn and shoves him against a nearby wall. Elijah puts his hands up defensively, so Klaus backs off and pulls Elijah's handkerchief out of his pocket so he can clean up. "I enjoy a good blood-letting as much as anyone, but our brothers have power, as well as knowledge of Esther's plans. We need them alive."
"Imagine what they would do to Rebekah. To Hope." Elijah tries to convince him.
"Rebekah has been cloaked by powerful magic. Focus on the task at hand. We need to persuade our brothers." Klaus stresses.
"I'm through with persuasion." Elijah is about to leave but Klaus grabs him by the shoulder and stops him. "Has the earth shifted on its axis? You needing restraint from me?"
Gabriel walks into the hall just as his phone rings. Noticing its Rebekah, both brother looks towards him worriedly. "It's me. I have the baby, and we're on the run. Esther found us. We're safe, for now... I've lost her bloody starlings, but I have no idea where to go." Gabriels blood runs cold as he hears his sisters panic.
"Tell her to head west. I'll call Hayley." Klaus says but Rebekah hears this and yells through the phone. "Do not tell Hayley! Esther's too smart for that. The only advantage that we have is that she thinks the baby died. Text me the plans."
Gabriel hangs up with a worried sigh, rubbing his hand down his face hoping to wash away all of this stress.
"Go. I'll take care of Kol and Finn." Elijah tells Klaus and Gabriel.
"Splendid. And, in your hands, I assume they'll be dead by nightfall." Gabriel complains.
"I will show restraint. Hope needs her father." Elijah stresses.
"What she needs... what we need are allies to help us defeat our mother. Finn and Kol must be turned to our side. Without their help, there will be nowhere left for Hope to run. I have waited months to see my daughter. I can wait one more day." Both brothers look at him sympathetically as they can tell it almost physically pains him to say it.
Elijah gets ready to leave but Klaus stops him. "Elijah. Do whatever it takes to keep her safe."
"I give you my word."
—
Kol and Finn are still in the dining room and Finn is holding a cloth on his neck where ELijah had bitten him. "Elijah is off his bloody rocker. We need to get out of here. Are you gonna help me, or what?"
Finn rolls his eyes at his younger brother. "If you were a little more clever, you would recognize that there is opportunity in our current circumstances."
Kol scoffs in disbelief. "Opportunity to what? Get a beating?"

The doors are swung open and Klaus walks in to join them. "Gentleman! I apologize for keeping you waiting. Good news is, I've returned with an old friend. Someone who wants to say hello."
Marcel walks into the room looking pleased. He smiles widely. "Hello!"
Finn rolls his eyes with a sigh. Kol gives him a sarcastic smile. "Ah, you again. You ever get bored of getting bullied by my brother?"
Gabriel just silently watches the exchange waiting until he needs to step in. "Oh, I volunteered for this. The way I see it, you have it coming.First, you messed with Davina." At that Gabriel narrows his eyes, Klaus' eyes gleaming in happiness that Gabriel may let his precious little brother be battered up. Marcel roughly shoves him back. "Now, I hear you wanna drag Rebekah into all this. Uh-uh. Not happening."
Klaus smirks. "Well, I'd prefer you both to join me against our mother. But, I'll happily settle for one or the other. Either way, if you continue to defy me, your lives will be reduced to an unending sequence of agonizing torture! So, which is it to be?"
—
Marcel stabs Kol in the hand with his knife, pinning it to the arm of the chair, as Kol screams in pain. Just then Gabriel walks into the room wearing a poker face that Kol knows all too well. It means that he's in trouble, and depending on his his choice of words Gabriel would either protect him, or kick his ass himself. "Brother..." Kol chuckles nervously.
Gabriel raises one finger. "You have one chance to tell me what you did to my daughter." Gabriel firmly states.
"Your daughter?!" Kol looks absolutely confused.
Marcel chuckles, crossing his arms in amusement. "I'm going to enjoy this. Oh, you didn't know?"
Gabriel twirls the ring on his right pointer finger for a second before twisting it off and handing it to a confused Kol. "Read it." He demands.
With his hands still cuffed, Kol lifts the ring closer to his eye and his whole face goes pale.
Gabriel snatches the ring out of his hands and places it back on his finger as Kol gapes. "B-brother, I didn't know." He pleads.
"You knew she was a Claire witch, which should've been enough for you. Now tell me." Gabriel demands. "What. did. You. Do."
—
Kol winces as Marcel continues his interrogation. "Now, we can keep doing this as long as you want." He yanks the scalpel out of his hand, which causes him to yell in pain. "Or... I can kill you now, and turn you into a brand-new baby vampire."
Kol's hand starts to heal as marcel holds the scalpel to his throat. "Go on, do it. My mother's got plans for me, whether I like it or not. If I die, she'll just pop me into another body. Not that my family will care that much if the death was permanent."
"Oh bloody hell, shut up." Gabriel groans. "This whole family loves you, as do I. Dont act as if you don't deserve a little roughing up for what you've done."
Kol tilts his nose up in the other direction, letting his brother know he was ignoring him at the moment. Gabriel rolls his eyes, he and Rebekah both reverted back to acting like a child whenever they feel like he hurt their feelings. He blames himself for spoiling them so much, but would be take it back? Probably not.
"What are you really up to? Hmm? What's it got to do with Davina?" Marcel questions with narrowed eyes.
Kol humorously chuckles. "Heh, you think I'm gonna break her little heart? That's downright paternal of you, Marcel. It seems she already has a father, and its not you."
Marcel loses his temper and is about to stab Kol with the scalpel when Gabriel grabs his arm and Klaus rushes into the room. "Easy, Marcel! Easy. Let's give Kol a little longer to decide before we lop off his head, hmm?" Klaus rushes out.
"Comments like that? He already thinks that you don't care." Marcel informs the man. "And he's throwing a tantrum because Gabriel didn't save him this time."
Klaus: looks intrigued by this. "Is that so, brother?"
Kol scowls. "You only daggered me a dozen times. You always cared more for Marcel than you did for me."
Klaus dryly replies. "Well, I didn't realize I had hurt your feelings."
"Yeah, well, that's the thing, innit, Nik? You don't know squat about me." Kol spats and Gabriels eyes soften.
"Thanks to Marcel, I know all I need to. You're desperate to be part of this family, aren't you? All of your mischief was just attempts for attention. You know, the truth is, Kol, you're right to feel slighted. I mean that. You're right. But, perhaps there's still time to make it up to you." At Klaus' words, both Gabriel and Kol look surprised as the two stare at each other.
Gabriel's phone rings and he looks down seeing that its Hayley, sighing to himself he silences the call and places his phone back into his pocket.
—
Finn is still in the ballroom tied up by cuffs and chains when Klaus and Gabriel return to continue to try and turn him to their side again. "So, brother, ready to embrace your new life of freedom?"
Finn lightly shrugs his head. "I'm already free, brother."
"You're aware our mother cares nothing for you?" Gabriel raises a curious brow. He truly did wonder how his brother had fallen so far, was it because they left him in a coffin for 900 years?
"Niklaus, Gabriel I assure you, my mother loves me. She loves all of her children. You would not exist without her sacrifice." He sounds so sure of himself.
They both begin to leave the room once more but Finn calls out to them. "Do you even know the truth? That she was barren? And she grew so desperate for a family that she begged one of the most powerful witches in history for help. Her sister, Dahlia. Of course, Dahlia's price was high. She agreed to make our mother fertile, but in exchange, she sought the first-born as sacrifice. Having no other choice, our mother gave away our beloved Freya."
Gabriel freezes as everything begins making sense to him. Being a year older than Finn his memories with Freya were a lot more clearer than Finns and yet he stupidly believed all his mothers lies about her dying from the plague. His mother had convinced him as a child that it was all a dream. The woman with pitch black hair was not real and he had made it up in his mind to cope with his older sisters death.
Klaus looks towards him in disbelief. "Our sister died of plague."
Finn shakes his head. "Esther gave her away. Think about that. The pain, the grief."
Klaus approaches the man again. 'If what you say is true, then death is far too delicate a fate for her."
"She loves us more than you realize." Finn tries to convince him while Gabriel is still frozen near the door.
"And is love the reason she wanted my child dead?" Klaus shouts in anger.
"She was trying to protect you from Dahlia's curse!" Finn shouts back with as much anger he could muster.
"WHAT CURSE?" Gabriel finally turns around and screams.
"Dahlia demanded the first-born of every generation. Had your child lived, she would have paid the price! And, if anyone had tried to protect her, Dahlia would come and destroy us all." Finn says with genuine fear in his eyes.
—
Gabriel enters the courtyard where he sees Klaus and Davina facing off. He rubs a hand down his face. Can he never get a break? Davina had avoided him for months upon months. He hadn't seen her since he knew she unleashed Mikael. And now here she was facing off against his brother and she hasn't even acknowledged him. What had he done so bad in his life to end up here? On top of that he's been trying to push back his memories Esther had showed him, of himself killing Marie.
"You forget yourself. You're not as powerful as you once were, Harvest girl." klaus snarls.
Davina confidently smirks. "Doesn't mean I can't still kick your ass!"
Thrusting her hand she throws him across the room and his body flies through the double closed doors, effectively shattering them into broken pieces of wood and glass. When she confidently walks towards the doors she realizes he wasn't where he landed.
Suddenly out of no where Klaus vamp speeds towards her and throws her down the hall. Before she can smash her head onto the wall Gabriel catches her body mid air. Davina's screaming halts as she looks up to meet the eyes of her 'father' she had been avoiding for months. He passively stares down at her before lifting his head to see a furious Klaus. He can't exactly blame his brother for being angry, Davina did March into his home and basically challenged him to a fight.
"Such hubris! And from one who bleeds so easily." Klaus snaps.
Davina was already panting but she pushes herself out of Gabriels hold and walks forward. "You talk such a big game, but you couldn't even kill Mikael when you had the chance! He was right about you, you know? You're weak."
Klaus speeds towards her and even Gabriel knows there's no talking him down now so he simply snaps his neck.
Davina turns to them in surprise when he gently lowers Klaus' body to the ground. Looking up at the witch she had never seen his eyes so cold, and directed at her. "You're going to tell me what the fuck you've been thinking these past couple of months!" Gabriel demands in anger.
"I-" Davina stutters for an answer but ultimately doesn't say anything.
"I saved you! I saved you from marcel's selfish grasp! I saved you from my brothers when they wanted to use you as a weapon! I saved you from being tortured by your own ancestors because you wouldn't complete the harvest! Hell, I saved you from the Harvest! I saved you from death! I took you into my home when no one else would! I did my absolute best to make sure you had everything you needed and tried getting you a normal life when I sent you back into schooling!" His voice rising with every sentence until he's red in the face. Absolutely heartbroken. "I called you my daughter... And yet you distance your self from me, you resurrected my father who nearly killed me, you hide the white oak stake after stealing it from me, and then you come stomping in to here trying to fight the same man who let his guard down for you and even offered you art lessons when you had no one!"
Davina looks at him with tears in her eyes and her lower lip quivering.
"Did you even notice or even care, when I was kidnapped and mentally tortured for days by my own mother?!" He yells.
"I did! I did care!" Davina cries out.
"Did you?" Gabriel sarcastically questions. "Because you've known my little brother for a few weeks and he's taken by his own family and here you are ready to start a war with the whole family to get him back. Didn't see you anywhere around when I was kidnapped."
"I'm sorry, I was scared." She continues to cry. All of her fears on how this situation would be coming true.
"Scared of what?" Gabriel calmly questions, but by his clenching fists you could tell his patience was running thin.
"I-I, you weren't there!" She yells. "You were protecting Hayley, and the ancestors took over. I couldn't control myself."
At this information, Gabriel's face pales. A sense of Deja vu running through him.
"The ancestors possessed me and raised Mikael." She sniffles. "And the next thing I know is he has the stake and he told me you were going to hate me for what I've done. And he was right, you hate me!"
Gabriel takes a step forward but she takes one back, slightly hysterical. "I don't hate you Davina." He softly says with his hands up.
"Yes you do." She cries. "I don't hate Klaus." She looks towards his dead body. "I just figured that if you hated me that I should just play my role of the bad witch who hates the horrible hybrid."

The universe is a very strange place. It will take even stranger heroes to save it."Absurd. Existential. Ridiculous. Tragic. Comic. The antiheroes of "I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room" are a kind of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern with space packs, inadvertently colliding with their destinies against a starry background of witty wordplay. With a vision as sprawling and limitless as the loveably goofy universe in which it's set, Browning's wit, wisdom and heart are always at play, combining to form a wonderfully panoramic and very silly heroes' journey that visits every trope of its overlapping genres and draws moustaches on all of them."- Marcel St. Pierre, author of "Vengeful Hank" and "Cliché and Wind Go Hitchhiking".(Sci-fi /Dark Humour/Absurd) *Completed!
