《To Be Loved By A Mikaelson | Hayley Marshal》Mr. big Brother
Advertisement
Gabriel walks into Rousseau's for the wake of Father Kieran. Though he never really had many conversations with the man he knew that Kieran was a big part of this community and he knew how much he meant to Camille. The woman who was slowly turning his brother soft, not that he saw that as a bad thing.
Irish music was blasting everywhere in the quarter, drinking as much alcohol has possible, and many were sharing stories of their found memories with the man. Spotting his little brother, Niklaus, sitting by himself seemingly grumpy as ever he approaches. Camille struts away after saying what she needed to. "And it worked out for you so well the first time, why change a thing?"
Gabriel can tell he's thinking of when Marcellus was a child. They did everything for that boy. He was like a son to the both of them.
Taking a seat in the same booth as his brother he silently raises a brow as he downs another glass, slamming it on the table. "Someone's having a bad day."
"I know I haven't been around these parts lately. It's a testament to Father Kieran that we could come together and share a drink, and a story or two. Kieran rolled into town on a rusty old cruiser after his daddy died twenty-five years ago. And damnit, that guy could party! That was, of course, before he took his vows. But, even then, he was committed to the Quarter. He knew that this town needed him. And, we still do. To Father K!" Marcellus raises his glass for a toast.
"To Father K." Everyone including Gabriel raise their glasses.
Elijah joins the two and looks to Gabriel in silent question when he notices Klaus' mood. "Seems rather uncivilized, to laugh and dance around the body of a loved one."
"Yes, far better to practice your process of grief, Niklaus. denial, rage, and hoarding coffins in basements." Elijah smirks as he pours himself his own drink.
Hayley joins the three, sitting next to Gabriel, he kisses her cheek in greeting, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "I will warn you, little wolf, Nik is in a spectacularly foul mood today. Perhaps his witch stopped giving out when she realized his therapy sessions were working a little too well." Gabriel snorts.
"Sod off." Klaus scoffs.
Hayley looks towards the hybrid with determination shining in her eyes. "What's the deal with these moonlight rings? Oliver's trying to set a revolution every five seconds, people are scared, angry, and frankly, I'm tired of stalling."
The man only waves her concerns off. "It's a day of peace, Hayley. Try and enjoy it. And, in the meantime, with all manner of unknown enemies conspiring against our family, you'll move back in with us."
"Niklaus." Gabriel lowly growls in warning.
Hayley plasters a sarcastic smile on her face. "Awesome! Then, we can do that thing where you lock me in the tower, I escape, there's drama, and then you two both realize I'm very capable of looking after myself."
"The rings are in progress. I will live up to my word. We will find and punish whoever launched the attack on the bayou, and you will return to the compound for your own safety! But, right now, I'm gonna finish this bottle, and the next, in the hopes of drowning the demon who has chosen today to haunt me. Cheers, Mikael. Impeccable, Freudian timing." He replies with frustration lacing his voice.
Elijah freezes and Gabriel and Hayley share a panicked stare.

"Elaborate." Elijah demands. "Have you dreamt of our father?"
"Go ahead, have a good laugh." Klaus growls.
"Niklaus, no one is finding this amusing. Considering my dreams have been being infiltrated by a very dead witch and by the look on Elijahs face he's been dreaming of Mikael as well."
"What?" Klaus says stunned. "What witch has been in your dreams and why only yours?"
"It was Marie..." Gabriel trails off, looking towards a slightly uncomfortable Hayley who finishes his sentence. "She was protecting you from Mikael." Hayley realizes, in awe.
"Perhaps our elusive, unknown enemy is orchestrating a further attack?" Elijah suggests.
All of their eyes trail towards Genevieve. "Well, then. What better way to punctuate a day of peace than by killing someone?" He smirks.
—
Gabriel enters the Jardin Gris voodoo shop behind Genevieve with his brothers. She looks towards Klaus with a weak smile. " You disappeared from the party."
"Do you care to explain why you would choose to torment us with visions of our father? " Elijah makes his presence known.
Genevieves expression looks genuinely surprised. "Your father? I didn't. I wouldn't!"
Gabriel chuckles, though there is no humor in his tone. "Of course, how foolish of me. It must have been that other witch that's been parading through our house in scraps of lace."
"I know how talented you are with your tongue, Genevieve. Might I recommend you use it to provide answers? I would so hate to tear it from your mouth." Klaus threatens, Gabriel recoils in disgust.
The woman only nervously laughs. "As much as I enjoy these repeated accusations of wrongdoings, I don't know what you're talking about. But, if you've both been seeing your dead father, I can try to get you answers."
Gabriel averts his eyes when Klaus strokes her neck. "Fine. Go."
"Niklaus, don't you dare let her," Elijah threatens but Klaus shouts over him. "Go!" And Genevieve goes running out the door. Turning towards Elijah he nods his head. "You don't trust her, and you're right not to. Only a fool would. But, she certainly wants us to, doesn't she?"
Gabriel crosses his arms. "Let me guess, there's something of benefit for you in all of this, isn't there?"
"I need a witch to make those rings for the wolves. Perhaps we'll get both answers and cooperation?"
—
Gabriel stands next to Elijah on the balcony when Genevieve approached them from behind. "Genevieve." Elijah stiffly greets.
"I asked around. It's not just your father. The purgatory where supernatural souls are trapped is disintegrating." She informs the two.
Gabriel swiftly turns around, his face paling. "What do you mean, "disintegrating?"" He growls.
Klaus enters the room looking exhausted. "She's right... more or less. It's actually imploding. I made a call to a rather reluctant Bennett witch in Mystic Falls who said the same thing. The dead are being torn away into nothingness. And, they're not interested in going quietly."
"So, you're saying that our father, faced with permanent extinction, has decided to spend his remaining tormenting us? How delightful!" Elijah sarcastically quips.
" Well, on the plus side, we'll soon be rid of his abhorrent soul forever. And what a good riddance that will be!" Klaus smirks.
"Along with our brothers!" Gabriel sighs, he needed to find a way to save his brothers from disintegrating into nothing. He knew Marie would be okay because she was most likely in the necessary realm but it didn't stop him from worrying about him too.

Genevieve sighs. "So, am I in the clear, Elijah? Or is there a new conspiracy you two would like to threaten me over?"
"Nothing springs to mind at this precise moment..." he mockingly smirks.
"Oh, gee. Thanks." She rolls her eyes, stopping in front of Klaus on her way out. "I have to get back to the girls. Perhaps tomorrow, after the funeral, you and I could spend some time together. Alone?"
"I suppose we'll have to see." He simply responds making her sigh in annoyance and leave.
"Please tell me you've designed a stronger method to control the witch than playing hard-to-get?" Elijah sighs.
"Yes brother, in case you haven't noticed, you're not that charming." Gabriel raises a pointed brow.
"Well, I've always been partial to the classics..." Klaus hums and then turns to Gabriel. "By the way, the Bennett witch did mention something else."
"Well, care to share Niklaus?" Gabriel sighs at his dramatics.
"A certain blonde was unsure if you received her letter." The innocent expression on Klaus' face made Gabriel want to hurt him all the more.
Instead of answering he waves his brother off and leaves the Compound. Davina had slowly been distancing herself from him, his brothers were going to be permanently gone if he didn't do something about it, and then there's his little wolf off doing god knows what.
—
In the French Quarter, hundreds of community members gather in the streets after the funeral. Father Kierans casket is placed in a horse carriage and the parade in his honor had officially begun. Jazz music was being played through out several blocks, near the end of the parade Klaus, Elijah, Gabriel and a pale looking Hayley, whose keeps coughing, walk.
"Are you alright, love?" Gabriel's eyebrows furrow in worry.
"You look-" Elijah begins but Hayley cuts him off. "A hundred months pregnant and pissed off at the world?"
Gabriel smiles down at her, she was as moody as ever. "You look beautiful."
Hayley pecks his cheek in response making him puff his chest out in pride. "Do you think I was the target of those bombings?" She questions.
"Of course you were the target! Were I to wage a war on the wolves, you'd be my first kill! I would string you up, for all your worshippers to see." Klaus rants, Gabriel smacks the back of his head in annoyance.
"Shut up you undomesticated dog." Gabriel groans.
"I believe that was my brother's way of telling you he'd like you to return home with us. Perhaps try a different approach, Niklaus, with fewer references to murder?" Elijah smirks.
"As much as I would hate to throw you over my shoulder, and piss off my brother by dragging you kicking and screaming to the compound, we both know I will, for the sake of my child." Klaus smiles.
"One bad dream, and suddenly, you want to be a responsible daddy!" Hayley mock gasps.
Klaus wraps his arm around Hayley and pulls her close, leaving Gabriel a growling mess. Let me put this into perspective: my father lived to torment me. It is not my intention to become him. This cycle of misery ends with my child."
"Mmm." She sends him a fake smile as Gabriel yanks his arm away. "You forgot one thing in your little attempt to plead your case, she's not your child. She's ours."
And with that she walks away leaving an even more irritated Gabriel and an amused Elijah. "Very heartfelt, Niklaus."
"I bloody hate funerals." The blonde scoffs.
"I hate you." Gabriel sulks.
—
Gabriel's vampire hearing picks up Genevieve yelling for their help. As all the brothers speed towards the scene they notice Hayleys deteriorating condition. She had blood coming from her mouth as she coughed. Right before she can collapse on the side walk Gabriel speeds to ether aid and catches her in his arms.
Gabriel speeds her to the compound with th switch and his brothers right behind him. He lays her down on the table, starring at her in panic as ELijah and Klaus argue whether or not Genevieve could help her.
"There's a spell I can do. Klaus, get chamomile from the pantry. She's trembling. Your jacket, Gabriel." Genevieve orders.
Gabriel hurriedly takes his jacket off and lays it over Hayley. "She's not breathing, I can hear the baby's heartbeat, but not hers." He shouts with tears gathering in his eyes at the thought of everything they had been through just to lose his little wolf now.
Genevieve presses damp bundle of chamomile against Hayley's forehead and chants a spell. "Coeur la sais patri avec mwen. Coeur la sais patri avec mwen."
Gabriel bits into his wrists and holds it up to Hayleys mouth hoping it would heal her but there's no change.
"Come on!" Klaus yells as he looks to ELijah in fear.
"She's still not breathing. It's not working!" Gabriel screams at his brothers and the witch, throwing a chair against the wall.
"Couer la sais patri avec mwen." Genevieve continues to chant.
Elijah goes to pick up Hayley but Gabriel blocks him."I'm taking her to a real doctor."
"If you move her from here, my spell will break. There won't be enough time to get her to a hospital." Genevieve rushes out, and though Gabriel hates the witch he knows she's right.
Klaus looks at the three frantically as he lunges for her body. "Will the baby survive if delivered now? I'll rip it out of her myself!"
Gabriel, furious, blocks his brother from getting near her and throws his body across the compound, his amber eyes clearly showing.
"Hayley will bleed to death!" Genevieve yells in outrage.
"I won't lose that baby." He growls.
"i wont lose either of them." Gabriel says back with venom in his voice.
"Patri avec mwen. Coeur la sais patri avec mwen." Genevieve continues before suddenly gasping. Though Gabriel knows she had a vision of some kind he pushes it aside for now. "I know what to do. Get my bag, the gris-gris pouch! Now!"
Hayley wakes up with a loud gasp, shaking scared and stunned from what she had just been through. She was a horror sight. Blood was dripping from her mouth onto her neck and sweat was coating her forehead.
Gabriel immediately helps her sit up holding her head to his chest. "You're alright, love. You're alright." Klaus tries to soothe.
"I saw him. He tried to kill me. I saw Mikael." She says stunning the three. Turning towards Gabriel her bottom lip quivers. "There was a man, he showed up after a little bit and took on Mikael by himself. He was losing but he kept Mikael away from me. I don't know what happened to him."
All three of the brothers stare at her in confusion. "Did he say anything to you?" Elijah questions.
"He said 'Tell my darling older brother that he owes me one. The names Kol.'" She whispers.
Gabriel freezes, as do the two other Mikaelsons. They all knew Kol was referencing to Gabriel, he'd never in a million years go out of his way and put himself in danger even in the afterlife for Elijah or Klaus. "Oh god." Gabriel whispers, thinking of Kol stuck with Mikael on the other side all alone. He had never been the strongest out of the family and he had never wished to face Mikael in their entire lives let alone, doing it all alone.
He gives Hayley a quick kiss on the forehead before speeding up to his room in the compound. Scavenging through all of his stuff he sighs in relief when he find the gem he was looking for. His brother and he had matching necklaces so that if he were ever to be in trouble and Gabriel knew of it he could help him.
So he sat on the bed chanting with his hands firmly clasped around the necklace, praying to a god he didn't believe in, that the necklace went into the after life with him. After a few seconds the stone starts glowing as Gabriel inserts as much of his power into it as he could.
—
Kol gasps in pain, laying on the floor as Mikael delivers a harsh blow to his rib cage with his boot. "You ruined my plans of destroying that disgusting wolf and that abomination she was carrying!" Mikael spits in rage.
"I didn't do it for Niklaus." Kol wheezes out.
"Was it from the kindness of your heart?" Mikael humorlessly chuckles.
"It was for Gabriel." Kol grunts, as Mikael processes what his son had just said Kol's eyes widen in relief when he notices the rapid growth of power in his body. The necklace sitting on his chest glowed a bright red and his eyes rimmed red.
"Aways saving me, brother." He whispers under his breath when he realized what was happening.
Taking a deep inhale as Mikael swings his fist towards the boy, Kol grabs him by his arm and swings him to the other side of the building. Standing up he cracks his knuckles with a smirk on his face. "Now this, this is a fair fight."
—
Gabriel enters the babies nursery he had known Klaus was making and notices Hayley gazing at the painting his brother had made. "I'm glad you're okay." Gabriel whispers as he hugs her from behind, nuzzling his nose into her neck.
"Kol... Is he going to be okay?" Hayley questions, sounding a bit sad at the mention of the man whom had saved her life.
"My brother will be just fine, ill be weak for a couple of days but I leant him my strength and transported as much of my magic as I could through a necklace to him. He should be able to easily defeat Mikael." He whispers tiredly.
"Kol Mikaelson." She whispers. "Was he very important to you? I mean, I know he's your brother but some of the Mikaelson family seems a bit... disconnected."
Gabriel chuckles. "I treat Kol very much like I treat Rebekah. When he was killed... I was an absolute mess. It was only today when I realized that the necklace would still work, as he died with it on. I'm not sure what I would have done if it didn't work. Kol is just like Rebekah, they both act like a bunch of brats but they're both very misunderstood. Even thinking of Rebekah or Kol defenseless... it pains me." He admits, Hayley leans further back into him.
"What about Klaus and Elijah?" Hayley questions curiously.
Smirking a bit he snorts. "They're both my idiotic little brothers. Nik's biggest weakness in life will always be Mikael and Esther. Those are the only things I need to protect him from, what ill always protect him from no matter what happens or what he does. Lijah, well his biggest weakness will always be Nik. He couldn't protect him when we were younger so he blames himself for all of niks wrong doings now. Ill protect him from himself, he has too much guilt and self hatred bubbling up from underneath those suits. I'd like to think I know my brothers more than anyone else, no matter how strong of a front they put up... They'll always need their big brother."
Hayley turns around, leaning on the crib. Gabriel automatically leans forward resting both of his hands on either side of her. "What happens now?... I agreed with Klaus to move back into the compound." She admits. "When the baby comes I doubt Klaus is going to let us have sleep overs at your apartment with the baby." She looks down sadly.
Lifting her chin he pecks her lips with a lopsided smirk. "You think my brother could or would come between us? Dont get me wrong I would never try to tell him how to raise or take care of his daughter. You both have equal rights over this child, if he doesnt want her out of his sight for a while its understandable with everything that's happened. Ill stay over here when I can, and I can help you with the baby whenever you or him need."
Her frown turns into a tears eyes smile and she lunges at him, pulling him in for a tight hug. "I love you." She whispers emotionally.
Gabriel smiles. "I love you too." Gently pulling away from her he drops onto his knees and laughs at Hayleys frightened face. "I'm not proposing yet love no need to have a heart attack."

Re-Re:Hammer
Your average Reborn Game System story, similar to The Gamer and Solo Leveling. Written for fun rather than novilization like the others, so it is smaller and less intense. It is set in an AU Warhammer based on a slightly modified version of Warhammer Fantasy's End Times.. So you might notice names and events but don't expect it all to go the same way. And the Main Character is not the only Player in this game~ I'm kind of a catastrophe when it comes to ethic and drive. So don't be alarmed if there isnt an update for a week or three. Or if there is three updates at once. It's a rewrite of the Rehammer that is around, which means the start is mostly the same with some small changes. Chapter 15 is the first fully new chapter of the book. though Chapter 14 has a large addition. You effectively can skip to that and not missing anything major if you read the old one, if you don't wanna rewrite.
