《To Be Loved By A Mikaelson | Hayley Marshal》MR. TROUBLE

"You're definitely a trouble maker, I see why Elijah's hands were so full between you and Niklaus"
with one leg crossed over the other quietly reading a book.
The front door slams open and he sees Rebekah and Klaus throwing a small brunette against the couch, he could automatically sense that she was a witch.
Gabriel looks towards his younger brother raising an eyebrow in which Klaus ignores too busy fuming at the brunette.
"Sophie Devaroux we had a deal!" He raises his voice as she sits there stunned and shaking. "You protect my unborn child and I dismantle Marcel's army! I've held up my end of the deal while if it wasn't for my brother Hayley would've been killed by a gaggle of lunatic witches!"
Sophie's head whips towards Gabriel whom she seemed to just notice. "Brother?" She whispers to herself confused.
Sophie had never heard of him having another brother still alive besides Elijah. No one ever spoke of the elder Mikaelson because his family only ever seemed to cause trouble when he was gone and other than that he kept to himself.
None of them knew the power he held and he liked it that way. He had only stayed for a couple of years when his family had suddenly decided to settle down here but eventually left, due to tragic circumstances.
"Hello love." He says smirking and waving a hand in a cheeky tone.
Klaus and Rebekah watch in mild disgust as Sophie blushes profusely. Their brother had always had this effect on woman but very rarely did he pursue anything, at this moment they were very glad for that.
"U-uh hi." She stutters out completely forgetting about her current dangerous situation.
Rebekah clears her throat slightly glaring at the witch. In no way was this witch getting her brother.
"It was a group of extremist. Sabine stupidly told them of a vision, she gets them some times." Sophie says sighing, bringing her attention back to the task at hand.
"And what pray tell did this vision foretell?" Gabriel asks, putting his book down leaning forward now interested. Sophie shivers from the sound of his smooth deep voice and Gabriel smirks when he hears her heart speed up.
"Pretty much that the baby would be the end of all witches." She says looking towards a smug Klaus.
"I'm becoming for fond of this child by the day." Klaus replies with a wide smirk.
"Look Sophie I promised Elijah I'd protect the Mikaelson miracle baby. Whilst he gets the witch Davina on our side." Rebekah says tired of this conversation already.
"He's talking to Davina?" Sophie questions seeming to become alarmed. "She must have a lot to say about that crowd."
"Do tell." Klaus says becoming more interested by the second. He had a plan for the little witch Marcel uses as his secret weapon.
"I wasn't always an advocate for the witches..." Sophie begins telling the story of the harvest and how she tried to stop it and Marcel intervened but could only save Davina. During this time Hayley had come into the living room sitting on the couch closest to Gabriel listening to the story.
She didn't trust Sophie at all and being near him made her feel safe. She notices Sophie's eyes often wander towards Gabriel during the story and she glares at the witch.

She didn't know why she felt so possessive. She had never truly been in a relationship before, she was always alone with a few one night stands. But with Gabriel her heart always sped up when he was near and she felt like nothing on earth could ever hurt her. It scared her to no end.

On another side of New Orleans Elijah listens intently to Davinas story. He pities her, her own family gave her up to have her slaughtered. He suddenly gets an idea.
"Davina whats your last name?" Elijah asks, he had a feeling he knew what it was but he needed to be sure if he wanted to tell his brother.
Davina looks confused by the question. Sure, her family name had some power to it in the ancestral world but nothing that would be important to him, or so she thinks. "Claire, why?"
"I believe You just became one of the most protected people In New Orleans." Elijah says smirking slightly, he knew his younger brother would attempt to use Davina as some sort of weapon. But he'd have no chance if Gabriel had a say in it.
"What do you mean?" Davina asks becoming more and more confused. Was he trying to offer her protection?
"Long ago my older brother fell in love with one of your ancestors, before she died she had asked him to keep her decedents safe. She went by the name of Marie Claire." He says watching her eyes go wide.
"I've heard so many stories of her!" Davina gushes like a teenage girl temporarily forgetting she was talking to the noble Mikaelson. "She was one of the strongest of our blood line! She stood against the ancestors because they were against who she fell in love with. It was your brother." She realizes, all of the stories she had heard growing up were true and she was partially excited she may meet who they were about. But she was leaving the attic today, she thought somberly.
"I'd like to make a deal." Elijah says studying her reaction. Davina perks up with an eyebrow raised motioning for him to continue.

After Klaus had left to join Marcel to track through the Bayou Gabriel headed out to steal some blood bags from a local hospital. He did drink from the vein sometimes but he preferred to not most of the time.
Elijah was much like him in that view.
When he returned home he came back to an empty house. "Bloody hell." He says letting out a frustrated sigh. They never listened.
He phones Rebekah and paces as he waits for her to answer.
"Hello brother, how's your day?" Rebekah responds innocently knowing she was about to get scolded.
"Rebekah where the bloody hell are you and Hayley?" He says sighing in exhaustion.
"Well the Mumsy decided she was going to follow Sophie into the Bayou, I simply came along to ensure her safety." She says shrugging her shoulders. Infront of Rebekah, Hayley rolls her eyes at her putting the blame all on her.
Gabriel hangs up and speeds to the Bayou. Hayley and Sophie who were walking along the trees in silence yell in surprise when Gabriel suddenly appears infront of them.

"Gabriel!" Hayley exclaims with a hand over her fast beating heart from fright.
"You're definitely a trouble maker, I see why Elijah's hands were so full between you and Niklaus." He says smiling cheekily at her, his mood getting significantly better.
Hayley rolls her eyes but smiles nonetheless shoving him slightly and continuing her walk.
As Sophie collects the bodies of the fallen, the originals and the she wolf hear a branch snap. Their head snaps towards the man now a couple feet infront of them. "An original, whoa." He says racing off.
Gabriel lets out a long sigh. "Call Nik." He says nodding towards Rebekah who nods and speeds away.
"Why didn't he say two originals?" Sophie asks the question on the two females minds.
"I'm not as well known as my siblings, I don't cause chaos wherever I go and I also leave every couple of years for a few decades to travel on my own." He says with a nod. "Come along its time to go before anymore of Marcels goons decide to show up."
Back at the house Hayley watches Gabriel pour himself a glass of whiskey. He sees her staring and raises an eye brow at her causing her to look away sheepishly.
"So what's with you and those wolves?" He asks curiously.
"My whole life I've been alone searching for my real family , I just feel connected to them somehow." She says with a small frown.
Gabriel opens to mouth to reply but Rebekah walks in beating him to it. "Well in my opinion family is over rated," Gabriel raises an eyebrow in her direction, " unless you have an older brother like Gabriel ofcourse, Anyways as for being alone in it how dare you?" She teases. "I don't trench through the bayou in my new boots for anyone."
Hayley smiles at her and Gabriel finds himself unable to look away from his little wolf.
Rebekah walks out of the room giving them time alone when she notices her brothers intense stare.
"You're a Mikaelson now Hayley. You'll never be alone." He says with a soft smile that she returns. "Even when you want to be." He slightly rolls his eyes thinking about all the times he just wanted to be alone but one of his siblings always begged to come along or would constantly call him.
She laughs but then gets serious all of a sudden, "why are you helping me?"
"Well you are carrying my niece or nephew." He says simply, he sees the slight look of disappointment and softly sighs and stands walking towards the little wolf. He leans down inches from her face as her breathing gets heavier and her heart practically beats out of her chest. "And maybe, I've began to fancy you." He says winking and walking away with a small smile.
Hayley sits there in shock but a wide smile covers her face. Maybe she would get that epic love she read about.
Walking out to the main room Gabriel sees the door open and Klaus walks through, "Finally! What's taking so- Elijah!" Rebekah yells running and hugging her brother.
Gabriel sends a nod Elijahs way and he sends one back with a large smile. Hayley walks into the room and he sees the way her eyes linger on his elder brother and smugly smiles inwardly.
"Tell me now that you're back are you going to kill Niklaus!" Rebekah asks excitedly making Klaus glare at her. Though his glare falters when he sees Gabriel sending him a warning look.
"No but we do need to have a discussion." Elijah says walking towards the study with a small pep in his step.
Everyone follows but Hayley lags behind feeling like she's intruding. Gabriel notices and reaches a hand towards her. She looks at him confused but puts her hand in his. As if reading her mind he says, "Don't feel the need to eaves drop or hide, I don't know about my siblings but I won't hide anything from you." And he begins leading her towards his siblings. She smiles and sits close to him on a couch.
"This was all about Davina, not Marcel. 8 months ago Davina was to be sacrificed along with 3 others but was saved. Sophie Devaroux's niece was among the four, this makes her more dangerous than anyone else. This wasn't about power, this was about family." Elijah says looking around the room. "But I believe Davina is going to be important to this family."
"Ah yes! I have plans for the little witch. She might be inclined to join our side if she knows Marcel is an unworthy Allie." Klaus says smugly, but when he sees Elijah smile smugly right back to him he narrows his eyes.
"Actually Niklaus your quest for power in this witch has just become void." He says smiling towards Gabriel.
"What are you talking about Lijah?" Klaus says confused and annoyed at his brothers cryptic messages.
"Do you know Davina's last name?" He asks his brother with an eyebrow raised.
"Bloody hell Elijah enough with the riddles, out with it." Klaus says frustrated throwing his hands up.
Hayley tenses slightly, still a bit afraid of the hybrid after their last encounter. Gabriel senses this and frowns squeezing her knee reassuringly to which she relaxes.
"Claire." Elijah says simply making Gabriel's whole body tense and his head snaps towards Elijah. "Her last name is Claire."
"She was the harvest witch?!" Gabriel sighs standing up and begins to pace.
Klaus exhales, all his plans practically going down the drain now. Rebekah and Hayley watch worried as Gabriel practically paces a hole in the floor.
"Why is her last name so important?" Hayley asks innocently genuinely confused.
"My brother.." Elijah gets interrupted as Gabriel holds a hand out to Hayley, "Come along." He sighs. Hayley puts her hand in his and he speeds them to his, well now her room. He puts a spell on the room that doesn't allow his siblings to snoop.
Once they get comfortable on the bed Gabriel starts to explain to her about this witch he fell in love with and how she died but he swore he'd protect her decedents. Towards the end of the story Hayley begins to fall asleep and unconsciously snuggles into Gabriel's side with her head on his chest. He smiles down at her and falls asleep himself.

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
