《Fallen Moon》Chapter 25: Know Thy Enemy

Deep within the forest, Angel continued to run past the trees going deeper into werewolf territory. He concealed his presence with a curse that made him invisible along with a curse that masked his scent. These two combined would make it hard for werewolves to track him. For if he was even spotted by one werewolf, it would call the others. They would all gather and kill him. As strong as he was. He couldn’t take on that many werewolves on his own. So he had to be careful. Though, he was getting nowhere.

The vast trees made it hard for him to locate the Nightshade campsite. The trees went on forever, it was like being trapped in a maze. This wasn’t going to work, he needed to start searching above the trees. Angel jumped into the air, grabbed a tree branch, swung off it. While in the air, he placed a curse on his hands that allowed him to glue his hands to whatever they touched. Using this curse, he climbed to the very top of the tallest tree.

Once Angel was there, he opened the map that Scythe gave him. His pale hazel eyes overlooked the forest and shifted back to the paper in his hands. He needed to find his location on the map so he needed some kind of landmark to work with. He rubbed his chin, the mountain top, that’d make for a decent landmark. So how far was he from the mountains? He glanced up and saw the mountains. He ran his finger along the map, trying to locate his position on the map. He must be here. He pointed at the spot that was a few feet from mountains but there were two mountain ranges. Granted one was smaller than the other, Scythe did say one of the werewolves had a transformation that was the size of a mountain.

Werewolves oftentimes hide themselves in caves but if the beast was the size of a mountain. He’d have no choice but to resort to hiding in a mountain. So, Angel would start his search there. Scythe already tried this and failed to find them. But maybe he’ll have better luck. He leapt down and began walking towards the small mountain range. There, Angel concealed himself in the bushes.

He noticed a man walking out of the cave that was forged in the mountain. The man was well over six foot tall. His eyes were dark red which was an unusual color even for a werewolf. He had long red hair that went to his lower back, his ears were pierced one of the piercing being a red and white feather. He had scars on his chest and back. He bent his arms back, stretching out his limbs. He let out a yawn as his hand scratched his groin. This man he was, Angel eyes peered down, the man was fully naked and his…was huge. How is that even-

The man had a pair of jeans in his hand and started to put them on. Once they were on, he walked over to the bush that Angel was hiding behind. He casually unzipped his zipper and started to-, Angel scooted away as the man did his business in the bush. He zipped up his jeans and Angel continued to follow him. This wolf, he had to be the one Scythe warned him about which means if he made one wrong move. This one werewolf could kill him.

While Angel was following him. His shoe broke a small branch and the wolf growled. He turned around and Angel stood perfectly still. Sound, werewolves have a keen sense of hearing. He had to be more careful. He concealed himself behind a tree and continued to follow the wolf to his campsite. He added a curse that made him light footed and reduced the sounds of his footsteps. He began to hear the sound of laughter.

The wolf let out a loud yawn reaching the campsite. In the middle of the camp were two shirtless boys, they appeared to be wrestling each other. One of the boys had long ash blond hair, his body dressed for speed and agility. The other boy had short shaven ash blond hair, the top of his hair was spiked back. He was much more muscular than his opponent, most likely a grappler type like Brandon. Strange, these two wolves, they could pass as Twins. If Angel didn’t know any better he’d say they are twins.

The werewolf campsite was built up of five tents. There was a dark red tent located near a small cabin. Next to it was a dark blue tent and next to that was a red orange tent. There were two blue tents across from the dark red tent.

Angel still wasn’t sure if this was the Nightshade campsite. The fact remained he was in werewolf territory which is a dangerous place for any vampire to be. He had to be careful. He kept himself cloaked with curses and concealed himself in the bushes observing this werewolf pack in the shadows.

He shifted his focus over to the female werewolf. She was dressed in a white tank top with vertical lines. She wore distressed blue jeans. Her dark brown eyes were focused on the two werewolf boys as they wrestled each other. Her red hair faded out into orange and the orange faded into yellow tips. Her hair was starting to remind him of flames. She had a decent muscle build similar to that of Raven’s. This meant this woman was no stranger to close quarters. Granted, he doubted she’d be able to defeat his dearest Raven. She’s a badass and she knows it. Very soon, that beautiful badass is going to be his girlfriend. He just had to stay focused.

“Come on, Jay,” The woman spoke. The long haired twin was caught in a tight headlock. She was trying to rally him, encourage him to break out of the hold his brother had on him. “You got this,” Jay’s left hand was out and was reaching for the line drawn in the sand. His finger tip touched the line and his brother was forced to let him go. “Now kick his ass Jay.” Was it just him? or is the referee being a bit partial to Jay.

“I’m about to,” Jay’s feet hopped around his brother. He leapt into the air and kicked his brother in the jaw. The impact was great enough to bust the muscular twin’s lip. “You like that, yeah, you like-,” He started pulling back as his brother threw punches left and right. He ducked his fist and punched him in the face. “That, you like when I kick your ass don’t you bitch.” He tried to punch him again. His brother quickly rolled underneath his punch and wrapped his arms around Jay’s stomach hugging him from behind. “Okay, time out,” Jay kept trying to make him break his tight grip but he wouldn’t. “I said time out, bro, please, no, I said-,”

“Don’t,” The muscular twin lifted up Jay. He arched his back far enough to where the back of Jay’s head hit the dirt. His arms were still wrapped around Jay’s stomach even after he hit the dirt. “Call,” He picked Jay up again and slammed his head into the dirt a second time. “Me,” He did a back roll with Jay’s arm hooked behind his neck. “A bitch,” He hooked Jay’s leg and lifted him into the air. Once he had him in the air, the muscular twin slammed his brother on his back into the dirt. The impact was so intense even, Angel could feel a sharp pain in his spine. Jay arched his back, grabbing it and continued to lay there in pain.

“Jayson,” The woman slapped his arm. “How could you?” She put her hands on her hips. “That’s your brother.” She pointed at Jay who was laying there still in agony after being slammed three times. “Look at him, he’s dead.”

“Nah, he’s fine,” Jayson brushed it off. “I do that to him all the time, Alexis, we’re brothers, it’s how we say hello. Now, count, woman.” He placed his foot on Jay’s chest. She rolled her eyes and lifted her arm in the air. It hit the ground once, she counted it, it hit the ground twice but this time she was moving slow. “Bitch, look I get you want his dick but I kicked his ass fair and square.”

“Oh yeah, well for that,”Alexis moved her hand even slower. He growled at her as her hand almost touched the ground but she stopped. “Oh wait, I forgot what comes after two, I’d better start over. Here we go,” Jayson kept growling at her. Jay started to recover after Alexis bought him some time. She started to count one but Jay grabbed Jayson’s leg and caught him in a leglock. “Kick his ass, Jay.” She screamed.

“I’m trying,” Jay yelled. Jayson forced his leg free by kicking Jay in the face with his other leg. While Jay was shaking off the kick to the face. Jayson leapt high into the air and struck Jay in the face with his junk. The impact was so great, Jayson was laying on the ground grabbing himself. Jay laid there being taken down by it.

“Jayson, did you just-,” Alexis paused. “Did you just tea bag your brother? Please tell me,” She put her hands on her hips. “You have more morals than that.” She scolded him.

“I have no morals,” Jayson laid on top of his brother while he was unconscious. “He has tasted the balls of justice. Now count it, woman.” She shook her hand and began her count, once she hit three. He got off him. “Yes, tea bag for the win.” He began moving his hips left and right shaking his ass, which. Angel assumed it was some sort of victory dance. “Oh yeah, I won, I’m stronger, I’m faster, I’m hotter, I am Twin supreme.”

“As if,” Jay argued. “You cheated, tea bagging is so cheating.” He rose to his feet. “I have an enhanced sense of smell. I was literally being gagged by your gross ball sweat. I threw up in my mouth.” He pointed at his mouth. “It was that gross, I should never have to smell my twin brother’s ball sweat.”

“Oh shut up, you love it.” Jayson teased him. Jay growled and took out his claws. “Hey, hey, no claws,” He pointed at his brother’s claws. “You know the rules, werewolves can’t use their claws on each other. It’s disrespectful.”

“Oh and you shoving your thing in my face isn’t?” Jay argued. “Teabagging is cheating and you know it. You know what, I’ll get a second opinion. Claire,” He called out. “Claire,” He called again. Wait, Claire as in Raven’s sister, Claire? -He’s found it!- Claire came out of her tent. She was dressed in a navy blue jacket with a white tank top underneath. She took the white ear buds out of her ears.

“Yes, Jay,” Claire put her hands in jacket pockets. “Can I help you with something?” She raised her brow. Jayson went to speak but both Claire and Jay glared at him. “I asked Jay, not you,” She pointed out.

“What,” Jayson shrugged. “There is something you can help him with. It’s right here.” He pointed at Jay’s crotch. “He really needs your help with-,” Alexis jumped on Jayson’s back and began hitting him on the head. “Alexis, get off me, get off me, stop hitting me.”

“No, you sick pervert.” Alexis trapped him in a headlock. “Jay’s penis is off limits, it belongs to me.” She continued to punch him until Jayson grabbed her hair and made her do a flip and hit her back. She got up and the two of them glared at each other’s eyes. She shot fire from her nose and turned her back to him.

“Actually,” Jay rubbed the back of his neck. “I’m pretty sure it’s my penis so it belongs to me. Anyway,” He coughed. “Claire, I need to ask you something.” He put his hands in his pockets. “You have a brother, correct?” She nodded. “So, if you were wrestling with your brother, would you consider teabagging cheating?”

“What’s teabagging?” Claire raised her brow. Jayson started to walk up to her. Jay quickly got in front of her in order to protect her.

“No, she asked for it.” Jayson argued. “She asked,” He kept trying to get to Claire but Jay acted as a human shield to keep her from him. “Brother, she’s going to taste the Balls Of Justice one way or another. This isn’t over,” He pointed at Claire.

“Do it, Jayson,” Alexis yelled. “Give her the Balls Of Justice.” Claire stood there shrouded in confusion. It was clear, she wasn’t familiar with how boys behave. For if she did, Angel was sure. She’d know what they were talking about by now.

“Okay, now, I’m curious,” Claire crossed her arms. “What’s teabagging? I feel like there’s some kind of joke here and I’m missing it. That and I’m sure it has something to do with these “Balls Of Justice.” She made air quotations with her fingers as she said it. “So please just tell me what it is.” Jay brought his lips to her ear and whispered it to her. “Wow, boys are gross, I stand by my opinion. I mean what sane person would shove their- in someone’s face?”

“It’s fun,” Jayson added.

“No, it’s gross,” Claire corrected him.

“Anyway,” Jay shrugged. “Back to the original question, Claire,” He cleared his throat. “If you and your brother were wrestling and he teabagged you-,” Claire’s face started to turn green. She rushed over to the bushes to throw up. Angel quickly moved out of the way and hid inside a different bush.

“Boys are gross,” Claire repeated. “If Jayson so much as tries to use his “Balls Of Justice.” on me.” She glared deep into Jayson’s eyes. He gulped. “I’ll cut them off,” He backed away from her, holding up in his hands in surrender. She sat down in the grass and continued listening to the music in her ear buds.

“I think we should leave Claire alone,” Jayson added. “She scares me.”

“Well that was no help at all,” Jay sulked. “That’s okay because I know who will agree with me. Dad,” He rushed over to the red haired wolf. His back was pressed against the wall. His eyes were closed and stood there sleeping. “Dad,” He shook him but no response. “Daddy,” He yelled, he groaned and opened his dark red eyes. “So me and Jayson were wrestling and he teabagged me. So would you consider that cheating?” The wolf raised his brow in confusion. “You don’t know what teabagging is?” He shook his head at him. “Wow, for some reason, I thought you’d know oh well, I’ll tell you.” He brought his lips to his father’s ear. Jayson hid his face in embarrassment as Jay explained what it was to his father.

The red haired wolf’s eyes looked at Jayson who waved at him. He buried his eyes into his hand and rubbed his temples. He slowly walked up to his son, placed his hand on top of his head and shook his head in shame. He walked to his tent and grabbed a red bath towel. He draped it on his shoulder and walked to a nearby stream to reconsider his life decisions. Angel figured that he wouldn’t be back for awhile.

“Oh my god,” Jay’s jaw dropped. “You shamed our father. Look at him walking over to the stream to take a bath so he can reconsider his life decisions. You did this,” He pointed at Jayson. “Now he’s never going to respect us.”

“Well it wouldn’t be the first time,” Jayson shrugged. “I mean, I shamed him when I painted the wall. There was also that time, I marked my territory on the couch. Dad had to clean it up, it was great.”

“Oh yeah, I forgot,” Jay groaned. “You like being a bad seed.”

“No, I love it, there’s a difference.” Jayson corrected him. “As for you,” He pointed at Alexis. “If anybody is accused of cheating it’s you.” He walked up to her. “Oh, what comes after three? I know an ass whooping.” He tried to strike Alexis, she ducked and created a fireball in her hand. This wolf, she has an ability, she’s able to increase her body temp to create and wield fire.

“Alexis, we’re in a forest. Remember fire is bad, you’ll draw attention to-,” Jay cringed as Alexis threw a fireball at Jayson. He dodged it, the fire struck a tree and began to spread to the next tree. “Us,” Jay groaned. “Why is it that I’m the only smart one?” He ran to his tent, grabbed an ice chest. He took out several water bottles and used them to put out the fire before it spread any further.

“Ha, you missed,” Jayson stuck his tongue out at her. Alexis created another fireball this time one in each hand. “Bring it, bitch,” She threw the fireballs at him. He rolled out of the way and the blasts hit two different trees creating two forest fires.

“Alexis, stop,” Jay quickly drunk from a water bottle. He unzipped his jeans and peed on the flame to douse it out. He rushed over to the next fire and extinguished it the same way. “Whew,” He wiped his brow. Another fireball hit a tree, his navy blue eyes widened. “Alexis, stop, I’ll run out of pee.” He ran over to that tree, took a swig of water and put out the fire. Claire was busting out laughing as Alexis shot fireballs at Jayson who kept dodging them and Jay who was rushing over to the flames to extinguish them. -This is his chance,-

Angel crouched down, staying hidden. He slowly made his way over to Claire. Once he was behind her. He covered her mouth and dragged her into the bushes with him. She elbowed him in the ribcage and the curse of invisibility broke allowing her to see him. He rubbed his ribs after she hit him. “Ou,” He whispered.

“Angel,” Claire lowered her voice to a whisper. “What are you doing here?” She punched his arm. “Have you lost your mind?” She added. “If anyone sees you here you’re dead.” She rubbed her forehead. “”You’re so stupid, why would you-,”

“Raven asked me to come here,” Angel answered. Claire rolled her eyes. “I wanted to take her on a date. She said I had to come here and get her. She said she likes playing hard to get so,” He shrugged. “Here I am.”

“Oh my god,” Claire struck herself on the forehead. “My sister is so stupid, why would she ask you to come here knowing you’d be killed? This is just so incredibly stupid, like, the worst idea ever, where does she come up with this stuff?”

“I don’t know,” Angel shrugged. “She’s your sister,” He stated as fact. “So where’s Raven?” He asked. Claire’s phone went off and she checked the message. Angel accidentally saw the message. It was from Brandon, those two have been texting each other, interesting. So maybe Brandon did have a shot. She texted him back and Angel could see the frustration building on her face. Or not,

“He’s so annoying,” Claire put her phone away. “Okay, you need to get out of here.” She placed her hands on Angel’s chest pushing him away. “One of our werewolves has enhanced senses if he finds you. You’re dead, so you need to run as fast as you can and get out of here now before he finds you. Now, like now,” He refused to budge as she pushed him. “Damn it, Angel, you’re going to get yourself killed.”

“I did not come all this way to not get a date with Raven.” Angel argued. “I had to strip just to get a map, I had to travel clear across the map, I was almost peed on by a werewolf, and you,” He pointed at Claire. “Almost threw up on me, So, I’ll ask you again, where’s your fucking sister?” He grabbed Claire’s jacket.

“Wait, you had to, what?”

“You heard me,” Angel let go of her jacket. “So I’m not leaving without that date. Where is she?” Angel glared at Claire. He had a curse placed on his hand that would teleport her to a random location. She wouldn’t die but the fall would hurt seeing as she’d fall from the sky and hit the ground.

“Put that away,” Claire smacked his hand away. “She’s in the cabin.” She pointed at the cabin. He used a curse to hide his presence, making himself invisible once more. He started to sneak his way over to the cabin but Claire stopped him. “That won’t work, if you go near that cabin, it’ll catch their attention. Jay will hear the door open and our Beta will come running. It’s a recipe for disaster, like it or not, mister vampire.” She smirked. “You’re screwed, if our Beta finds you, he’ll chew you up and spit you out. Trust me, you don’t want that. So, you wait here,” She suggested. “I’ll handle this, in exchange,” She glanced over at him.

“I’m listening,” Angel allowed. There’s always a catch. Not like he wasn’t used to it by now. Scythe made him strip so compared to that. There’s nothing Claire could want from him that would top that. So, whatever it is, he’d probably do it.

“Brandon,” Claire began. “Tell him to stop texting me and I’ll do it.” She held out her hand. Brandon? Angel wasn’t sure if telling Brandon to stop texting her was going to work. He doesn’t usually listen to him if anything. It would only encourage him to do the opposite. Still, there’s no harm in trying. Angel shook her hand. “I’ll be right back,” Claire rose to her feet and walked to her tent. She then returned from her tent with a silver roll of duct tape.

“Duct tape?” Angel remained in bushes, his presence hidden by his curses. “What’s she going to do with duct tape?” He had no idea how a roll of tape was enough to defeat an entire pack of-. The red haired wolf came back from the stream just finishing up from his long bath. His long red hair was dripping wet as he stood there in front of Claire. He was wearing nothing but a towel around his waist.

“Hey there,” Claire quickly yanked his red towel down. It toppled to the floor leaving him exposed. Claire’s eyes widened as she saw him in all his glory. The Beta raised his brow as if he were confused by her actions. She stretched out the duct tape and attached it to his unshaved pubic hair. - She wouldn’t- “Sorry about this,” She ripped the tape off as hard as she could, tearing his red pubic hair clean off. Angel gasped as the wolf’s dark red eye twitched. It was clear he was in pain and was trying his hardest not to react to what Claire just did. He bit his lip and took off running to his tent moving so fast. Angel barely saw him move. “He’s so, going to kill me later,” She shrugged. “Oh well,” She rushed over to Jay.

“Finally, Alexis and Jayson stopped fighting.” Jay began taking deep breaths. He rested his hands on his knees. “I had to put out so many fires.” He fixed his hair. “Hey Claire, what’s-,” Claire jumped into Jay’s arm making him carry her. While he was holding her, she pressed her lips against his. The kiss only lasted a few seconds before Jay rushed over to his tent with her in his arms.

“It’s finally happening,” Jayson ran into the tent holding out his cell. “My brother’s becoming a man. Don’t worry bro, I’m going to record the whole thi-,” Alexis pushed him aside like an enraged bull.

“Oh hell no,” Alexis grabbed Jayson’s phone. She stomped on his phone, crushing it and walked inside the tent. “Get your hands off my-,” There was a small pause. “What are you doing with that duct tape?” Angel heard loud crashes, banging, and the sound of tape being stretched out. “CLAIRE,” Alexis screamed. “You bitch, you get me out of this right now, get back here, Claire, Claire, CLAIREEE, I’m going to kill you for this.” The tent lit up in fire as Alexis’ rage ignited.

“Ou,” Jay screamed. “Alexis stop, you’re burning me. Your hands are taped to my nether regions. Ou, stop moving, I didn’t shave yet, you’re pulling the hair. It hurts, it hurts, Alexis, please stop trying to escape. Ou,” He cried out. “Brother, save us.”

“I’m com-,” Before Jayson could finish his sentence. Claire jumped out of the tent holding duct tape. She tapped his mouth shut and tapped his legs together. He tried to hop away from her but she tackled his legs making him fall to the ground. He kept screaming while his lips were still covered by tape. Claire dragged him into the tent. He wiggled out like a worm trying best to escape. Claire grabbed him and pulled him back into the tent. She walked out and sealed it shut so the three of them couldn’t escape. The red haired wolf opened his tent to check on the screaming outside. Claire twirled the duct tape on her finger and he quickly sealed his tent shut out of fear for the duct tape.

“Done,” Claire tossed the duct tape in the air. It flew over Angel’s head and landed striking him right between the legs. He grabbed himself curling up in a ball after being brutally assaulted by duct tape. The curse that made him invisible faded as the pain being hit in the balls by a roll of duct tape lingered. “Oh, no,” Claire rushed over to him. “Angel, I’m so sorry, that was an accident.”

“I’m fine, it’s just a-,” Angel took slow breaths to numb the pain coursing through his groin area. “Flesh wound.” He forced himself to stand on his feet. He was still in a little pain but he’d manage. “No worries,” He dusted himself off and fixed his hair. “Here,” He threw her the roll of duct tape. “Take your silver roll of death.”

“Thank you,” Claire caught the roll of duct tape. “The cabin is this way,” She walked up the steps to the patio. Angel followed close behind her. “Quick,” She whispered. “Hide yourself,” He nodded and reapplied the curse that made him invisible. She knocked on the door to Lycan’s cabin.

The door started to crack open. Through the small crack was the alpha of Nightshade himself, the werewolf prince. Lycan. Angel remained hidden as he looked into the dark brown eyes of the werewolf that caused Raven so much pain and agony. He glared into those eyes as anger started to build. This bastard, he took advantage of Raven. He forced himself on her and yet. All Angel could do was stand there and glare at him. Every part of him wanted to beat the hell out of him for what he did. His hands tightened into a fist as he gritted his teeth together. Raven said she’d handle it, he had to trust her and he did so for now. Lycan lives. He calmed himself and stayed focused on the reason he was here. His date, he was here for Raven and no one else.

“Oh, it’s you,” Lycan stood at the doorway. His long hair dripping wet, water ran down his tan skin. The werewolf was standing there wearing nothing but a white towel around his waist. “Medic, go away, I’m showering with my wife.” His wife? Please, Angel rolled his eyes. She’s only married to him because he forced her not because she wanted to. So for him to call Raven his wife, it’s a joke. She’s more of a puppet dancing on Lycan’s stupid little string. He had no right to refer to her as such. Even that wedding ring on Lycan’s sick twisted finger wouldn’t be enough to convince him that. Lycan had the right to call Raven his wife. She’s not and she never will be.

The door started to shut in Claire’s face. Before it did, Claire put her fingers in the way to stop it from closing. “Actually,” She spoke through the crack in the door. “I was hoping to speak to my sister.” Lycan stopped and groaned. “Please, it’s really important.” She begged.

“Medic,” Lycan turned around. “Let me make this very clear to you. Your sister is my wife.” There he goes again calling her his wife. Angel tightened his hand to a fist. Say it again and see if Angel doesn’t punch him in the throat. “We’re married and married couples like privacy. Especially considering I’d really like my wife to-. What’s the word I’m looking for here,” He rubbed his chin. “Ah, yes,” He snapped his fingers. “I’d like my wife to provide me with oral sex, it’s the one thing, she’s yet to do. For some reason she-,”

“Hey sis, what’s up?” Raven walked up to the doorway. Her long black hair was dripping in water. She had a hair brush in her hand running it through her hair. The water droplets moved her along her neck down to her-.

Angel forced a swallow. She was standing there in front of him wearing nothing but a white towel. Her skin freshly showered, she carried the scent of cherry blossoms. Her gorgeous navy blue eyes were looking at her sister unknowing of the fact that he was standing next to her. If only he could kiss her, embrace her, cover her in his scent but. He couldn’t. That would only blow his cover. Focus, Angel, focus. Be patient, soon, he’ll have her to himself and they’ll be able to go on a date together. There will be plenty of time for him to kiss and embrace her then. Just stay focused.

“I’m sorry,” Claire apologized. “I just wanted to talk to you. But Lycan says you’re busy so I’ll ask later,”

“Thank-,” Lycan started to shut the door but Raven forced it open. He growled at her and she stuck her tongue out at him. He tried to bite it but she put her tongue back in her mouth and smirked.

“I’m not busy,” Raven fixed her hair. Lycan rolled his eyes. “I was just finishing up my shower and Lycan was just leaving.” He laughed like she told a joke. “Lycan, go away, girls are talking so boys need to disappear.”

“Sure, I’ll disappear after you-,” Lycan whispered in her ear. She elbowed him in the ribcage. “Have it your way, I’ll just stay right here until you do it. One way or another you’re going to do it.” He glared at her but Raven ignored him.

“So, what did you want to talk about?” Raven continued to brush her hair. Claire stood there in silence. She glanced back at Angel. He was still standing behind her waiting for Lycan to disappear so he could talk to Raven. But Lycan was still standing there next to Raven, so they were stuck. Claire had to make Lycan leave somehow.

“You owe me,” Claire mumbled so only Angel could hear her. She let out a deep sigh. “I want to talk about boys,” She rolled her eyes. Raven gasped and hugged her sister tightly.

“Finally,” Raven looked at the sky like this was a gift from the heavens. “Boys, now this is a subject I’ve been dying to talk about. Okay, first off, we got to peel the band aid off this one. Because I’ve got to know.” Claire groaned. “Who do you think is the hottest guy in our pack?”

“Hottest, like,” Claire raised her brow. “What do we define as hot? Like, is hot like a body type or is it a personality type thing? Because I’ve never talked about boys before. At least not in the same way you have. So, why don’t you tell me first?” She crossed her arms.

“Okay, sure,” Raven shrugged. “I’ll go first.” Lycan smirked and nodded to himself. “I’ve got to say our Beta, Alejandro.” Lycan’s eyes formed a glare. He snarled, baring his canines at her. “My reasoning, sis, let me break it down for you. He’s tall, like the tallest guy in our pack. He’s mysterious, he’s responsible, he doesn’t talk which means all he does is listen. Makes him the perfect wall to talk to. If that wasn’t enough, it gets better, his skin, I could lick that wolf’s skin all day.”

“He’s my brother,” Lycan yelled.

“Hey, Hey, Hey, I wasn’t done.” Raven poked Lycan’s nose. “Shut up and listen to my reasons. I’ve done a lot of thinking on this.” She patted Lycan’s chest. He rolled his eyes at her. “Where was I?” She rubbed her chin. “Ah yes, lick his skin off, check. Okay, muscles, he’s got a lot of muscle. That’s a plus, he can move my furniture by himself. That’s a huge plus. Then, there’s the fact, I like a challenge.” Lycan groaned, Angel’s jaw unhinged. She wasn’t about to bring up the-. “The wolf has a huge-,”

“Okay, Okay,” Claire interrupted her. “I know what you’re going to say and please, please for my sanity don’t say it. Please, I saw it, I know, it’s huge.”

“That right there is a huge reason why,” Raven pointed at her. “Underneath that towel. That’s no boy. That’s a man.” She smirked. “I saw it and I was like bitch, don’t threaten me with a good time. I’ll take that shit.”

Angel’s jaw dropped. He couldn’t believe this. She talked about another man’s thing in front of him. His pride, his pride, she crushed his pride. Why did he have to hear this? I mean, It’s not like he could argue, the Beta was bigger than him. It just hurts knowing that she knows that. It’s okay, he’ll get over it. It’s just lust, she’s not in love with the Beta so it’s understandable.

“A challenge?” Claire argued. “You called it a challenge?” Raven nodded. “That’s not a challenge, that’s insane. Have you seen the size of it, it’s not normal. No guy should have something like that between his legs. I mean werewolf or not, it’s superhuman. That would hurt wouldn’t it, I mean I’m a virgin so I don’t know. But, it has to, it’s huge.”

“Hey, you don’t know until you try.” Raven argued. “He’s got one and I want to try it, I feel like, if a girl sleeps with him. She deserves a trophy. He should hand out trophies saying: “Congrats, you made it to the big leagues and survived.” I’m serious, the guy should be handing out trophies.”

“Enough,” Lycan spoke over her. “Perhaps, there is someone else you’d like to talk about, preferably your husband. I mean I’m a guy and you married me yet all I’m hearing about is my brother. Which by the way, he’ll never sleep with you so I don’t know why you’re so concerned about his-.”

“I’m not concerned. I’m sure it’s fully operational.” Raven added. “But there is another guy I think is hot but, it’s a stretch like a huge stretch but he has his moments.” She smiled at Lycan. He smirked and his cheeks formed a slight blush. “Jayson,” Lycan’s eyes burned with rage and he stormed off to finish his shower. “Wow, he didn’t even hear me out on that one.”

“I don’t even want to hear you out on that one.” Claire replied. “Jayson, seriously, why would anyone think he’s hot? The guy is a total pervert, he has zero respect for women. He even said he wanted a woman with a lower rank just so she can’t argue with him and she has to do everything he says. Who would anyone date a guy who thinks that way? I wouldn’t.” She pointed at herself. “I for one like making decisions, I like having a choice, I like not being forced into anything.”

“Okay but, look at how he was raised.” Raven argued. “That’s how the werewolf code is. He doesn’t know anything else. Most werewolf guys probably want the same as him. Because they weren’t taught anything else. We can’t blame his father for it, he didn’t make the code, Lycan did. So all he could do was teach his kids to follow it. So of course that’s what he wants, it’s all he knows.”

“Then explain, Jay,” Claire crossed her arms. “He’s not that way.”

“That’s because Jay isn’t afraid to go against the code. That’s what makes him different. But his brother is and he most likely has a good reason for it. So, I’m just saying maybe we’re not giving Jayson enough credit. So,” Raven put her hands on her hips. “I stand by my statement. Jayson is kind of hot. Mostly because he can be trained and seasoned into a great boyfriend. He just has to find a woman who can tame him.”

“Good luck, there’s not a woman alive that could tame him.” Claire argued.

“See that right there is why, I like a challenge.” Raven explained. Claire rolled her eyes. “Plus, he has a nice body and I’m sure he’s-,”

“Okay, I’ve heard enough.” Claire cut her off. “Remind me to never talk about boys with you again. Shut the door,” Raven stepped out onto the patio and shut the door behind her. “There’s someone here who’d like to see you.” She stepped aside and Angel removed the curse that made him invisible. Raven’s lips parted and she ran into his arms hugging him tightly.

“You like a challenge huh?” Angel ran his fingers through her hair. “So what does that make me?” He asked. “My penis isn’t as big as your Beta’s.” He stated as fact. “Um, I’m not a guy that needs to be seasoned or tamed. I think I make for a decent boyfriend on my own. So why’d you pick me?”

“That’s easy,” Raven stepped back. “You’re the greatest challenge. Dating you is supposed to be impossible because of the war. Even before that, when we were humans. I could never be with you because you always belonged to someone else. I’ve always wanted to date you but I never could. You were always out of reach. So to me, it was a challenge, a very difficult challenge that I enjoyed because.” She smiled. “I knew when I finally got you, it’d be worth it.”

“I see, well,” Angel put his hands in his pockets. “Let me tell you something. Getting here and picking you up for our date. That my dear was a challenge. I had to do so many things just to get here.” Raven began chuckling.

“Well,” Raven placed her head on his chest. “You can tell me all about it,” He watched as her werewolf claw ran along his shirt and drew a heart on his chest. “During our date.” She brought her lips to his ear. “Meet me at “the” cave,” She whispered then lightly kissed him on the cheek.

“The cave?” Angel thought about it only for a moment. But after some thought he knew the cave she was talking about. How could he forget it? It was where they-, He started to see images of their lips conjoined. His body on top of hers as the two of them joined together in what had the greatest night of his life. It was the same place where she told him she loved him. Of course, his heart remembered that place, it would always know that place. He’d be there waiting for her. He pressed his lips against hers and pulled her close.

“Don’t keep me waiting too long,” Angel ran a finger through her hair. She blushed as he held her tight. He kissed her forehead and started heading toward “the” cave that he would like to soon call “Their” cave. But he’d have to convince Claire to give up her part of the cave which wasn’t likely. The sister’s found it first, he was just a visitor. A visitor who came in and had his heart stolen by a Raven.

“I can’t believe he came all this way to see me,” Raven placed her hand on her heart. “He could’ve gotten killed and yet. He still came to get me just like I wanted him to. He’s either stupid or the perfect Prince.” She let out a sigh. “If only things weren’t so complicated between us.”

“Complicated?” Claire raised her brow. “This is beyond complicated. You’re married, he’s married, you’re both married to someone else. Yet here you two are still trying to make this relationship work. But,” She let out a sigh. “I can say this much for him, he really cares about you. No vampire would be this stupid unless the girl was worth this level of stupidity to him. I mean at some point, he had to have thought. This is a bad idea yet because he cares about you. He does it anyway. If he dies, I want you to know, it’s because of you. You dragged him into this. With your whole,” She cleared her throat. “Pick me up at the Nightshade campsite, I know it’s dangerous and filled with werewolves that want to kill you but it’ll be so romantic.”

“Hey, I never said I was smart.” Raven pointed at her. “I just thought having him come here was a romantic gesture to rescue me from a tower of evil.” She motioned to Lycan’s cabin. “This is my dungeon and he’s recusing me. It’s romantic.”

“It’s a cabin not a tower,” Claire pointed out. “I don’t see a lock on the door so it’s not a dungeon either. I think you’re just being dumb, love has made you stupid.” Raven let out a defeated sigh. “So, now we have a problem. Your vampire boyfriend is here trying to take you on a date and we can’t leave the campsite. Lycan’s orders, so what’s your plan genius?” She crossed her arms.

“Look,” Raven pointed at her. “If you’re going to start making sense. You can’t talk to me. It makes me feel stupid and I don’t like that.” She put her hands on her hips. “Also, I do have an idea. Do you recall those times we annoyed our brother?”

“Yes,” Claire answered. “I remember us barging into his bedroom unannounced. We’d randomly start arguing just to annoy him. He’d get angry and grab us by the back of our shirts. He would take us out of his room and tell us to sort out our argument without bothering him. After that,” She crossed her arms. “He’d just want us to leave him alone for the rest of the day. He’d even-,” Raven’s lips formed a grin. “You’re not suggesting we do that to Lycan are you?” She asked. “Doing it to our brother is one thing but doing it to Lycan is another.”

“Well,” Raven scratched her chin. “You do have a point?” Claire smirked. “But,” Claire groaned. “What if I told you something that would make you want to help me regardless?”

“Like what?” Claire replied. “There’s no way I’m going to do something that-,” Raven pulled Claire in for a hug and brought her lips to her ear.

“Did you know Lycan could’ve turned us human this whole time?” Raven whispered. “His werewolf fangs don’t produce venom. Instead they suck out the venom and make that person human. It’s his special ability, he’s had it this whole yet he still forces us to fight in this war. Doesn’t that just piss you the fuck off? Knowing we could be humans right now and have our old lives back but this guy is being a prick and forcing us to fight in a stupid war. We had no idea, was going on. I mean,” She shrugged. “I guess it’s true what they say, ignorance is bliss. So, Claire, how does this new information make you feel?”

“That mother-,” Claire almost said the curse word but stopped herself. “We’re going to get even, he’s going to pay dearly for this. You mean, this whole fucking time, I could have been a human sipping lemonade in a cup during the full moon instead of. I don’t know, my bones breaking, my hair growing so I’d have to shave it. Being a rage fueled monster confined to a stupid cave. I’m so pissed, so pissed, pissed doesn’t even describe how pissed I am. He’s going to regret every minute of me being a werewolf. If I regret it,” She pointed at herself. “Then guess what, he’s going to regret it too. We’re pulling out the big guns.”

“You don’t mean-,”

“Oh yes,” Claire grinned. “I mean it.” Raven gasped. “I feel like it’s time Lycan learned what a period is. I’m about to beat his ass and get away with it too.” Claire opened the door to the cabin. She rushed over to Lycan’s cleaning closet and grabbed a broom. “Lycan, you son of a,” She barged into the bathroom while Lycan was showering and started hitting him with a broom. While she was hitting him the shower water continued to douse her clothes, her hair as Lycan shielded his naked body with a shower curtain while being beaten by a broom. “I hate you, you ugly piece of-, this is all your fault. You did this to me, you bitch. I hate you. I hate you, you ugly, just crawl in a gutter and die.”

“Stop hitting me,” Lycan took the broom from her. Claire kicked him in the balls. He arched over and she started hitting him with the toilet plunger. “What is wrong with you?” He snatched the plunger from her. “I’m your alpha, your prince, I will not tolerate this kind of-,” Claire spit in his face. “Did you just spit on me?” He wiped her spit off his cheek. “Now your going to fucking die.”

“Lycan no,” Raven barged in, she was fully dressed wearing a white tank top and blue jeans. “You can’t-,” Lycan glared at her as his fist was inches away from punching Claire in the face. “She’s on her period. See, she gets like this once a month and she goes into these violent outbursts of rage and if you hit her. You’ll make it worse. In fact, all women are like this in fact.” She grabbed a dustpan out of the cleaning closet. “I might be on mine right now. Lycan you piece of shit, I hate you.” She jumped on Lycan and started beating him with a dustpan.

“Enough,” Lycan continued to block as both Claire and Raven hit him with household appliances. He started growling as they hit him. “I said enough,” He snatched the plunger from Claire and the dust pan from Raven. Claire pulled out a roll of duct tape. He snatched it from her and bared his canines at her. “I said enough.” He threw the tape on the floor. “I’ve had enough of this, the next one to hit me gets beaten to a bloody pulp. Do I make myself-,” Raven slapped him as hard as she could in the face. He rubbed the red mark on his face as she glared at him. “You may be my wife but if you ever slap like that again I’ll-,” Raven slapped him again. She glanced over at Claire, she nodded and the two of them took turns slapping him in the face. “That is it,” He picked Raven and Claire up and propped them both up on his shoulders.

“Hey put us down,” Raven yelled. “I’m not done hitting you.”

“Yeah, let us hit you some more.” Claire agreed. “You deserve it you bastard, you deserve it.” The two sisters were punching him in the back as he carried them out of his cabin on his shoulders. He threw them down on their butts. They both got up eager to hit him some more, he raised his fist and they backed up.

“Listen,” Lycan took a deep breath to calm his nerves. “I don’t know what a period is and I really don’t care.” He added. “But if it causes you two to behave like children.” He glared at them. “Then maybe it’s best you two go somewhere else. Somewhere far away from here and more importantly.” He took a deep breath. Raven could feel his anger building.“Somewhere far away from me.” He yelled. “The war is in two days and I have too much shit to deal with as is. So, do me a favor and leave,” He yelled at the top of his lungs so loud it shook the trees. “Now,” He yelled louder. He slammed his cabin door shut, the impact so loud. Birds fled from their nests scattering to the winds.

“I think we pissed it off,” Claire replied.

“I know we did,” Raven turned around and Alejandro was standing behind her. “Look I know this looks bad and that Lycan looks furious but I’m sure he’s not going to take it out on you. At least, I hope not.” She reasoned. “Please don’t kill us.” He pointed at the trees and his fingers started to count down from five. He’s giving her a five second head start, shit, she’s taking it. Raven took off running as fast as she could. She’d be damned if she was going to let that wolf catch her.

“I’ll just ugh-,” Claire started to leave but he opened the door to Lycan’s cabin. His finger pointed at the duct tape on the floor. “You want the duct tape?” He nodded. She walked over and picked up the duct tape. He held his hand out to her, she slowly put it in his hand. “Look about what I did earlier, I’m really,” He walked over to the rest of the pack who were all gathered together in the middle of the campsite.

“I’m sorry Claire,” Jay stood there holding a blue bucket. “The duct tape has to die.” Alejandro placed the duct tape into the bucket. “We as a pack have all agreed that from this day forward you are no longer allowed to have duct tape. You are banned from duct tape. Alexis,” He glanced over at her. “You may now burn the duct tape.” Alexis’ hand caught flames and she shot a fireball into the bucket. Claire watched as her roll of duct tape was reduced to ashes.

“From this day forward,” Jayson spoke. “If we see you with a roll of duct tape this what will happen. We’re just going to walk up to you, take the duct tape from you and burn it. You have lost your duct privileges. Do you understand what I am saying to you?” He asked her.

“I swear if I see it,” Alexis pointed at her. “I’ll burn it, you are not allowed to have duct tape at all. You are banned, do you hear me? Banned, that means no duct tape ever, I mean it Claire, you’re not allowed to have it.”

“But,” Claire shrugged. “It’s just duct tape I don’t why you guys feel the need to-,” Alejandro glared at her. He pointed at his groin reminding her of what she did to him. She glanced over at Jay who had suffered the same punishment. She could picture Alejandro ripping Jay’s pubic hair in order to free him from the tape. It had to be painful. “But,” Jay scolded her.

“Claire,” Jay placed his hand on her shoulder. “Alexis, she um, burned off my pubic hair. That’s how we got free. You’re lucky that’s all she did or I’d never speak to you again. That’s just me being flat out honest.”

“Oh, I’m really sorry about that, Jay.” Claire admitted. “But at least we kissed right?” She shrugged. “That has to count for-,” He shook his head at her. “No, okay, well ugh in that case, I’ll just ugh,” She backed away from him. “Be going now.” She fled the Nightshade campsite to join up with her sister who was probably waiting for her by now.
