Tails Pov:

Christmas is coming soon, the year is about to end... I can't let my feelings for Y/n go unheard of just because I'm too scared to ask him out. When he looks at me I get nervous, my heart starts beating faster.

I don't know what to do anymore- How do I simply set up a "date" with Y/n? Or at least just us two hanging out alone. . .

Lane: "You alright?"

Tails: "Fine, yeah. Why?"

Lane: "You look like you've spaced out."

Tails: "Sorry."

Lane: "It's alright, anyways. I feel sort of bad for how I've been treating some of you guys."

Tails: "It's alright... I think Y/n's the one who seems the most offended."

Lane: "Ah... The wolf."

Tails: "What's wrong?"

Lane: "Nothing."

Tails: "So have you been thinking about apologizing to him?"

Lane: "Well... I'll apologize to you for now!"

Tails: "Why?"

Lane: "I don't know. . . You're more likeable."

I stood there a little heated up, no way I'm more likeable than Y/n?... I'm not as "special"

Cadet: -Far away- "Hey Lane! I need your help with something!"

Lane: -shouting- "In a minute!"

Lane: "Welp, seems like I gotta go. Cya later Fox-Boy."

Tails: "Sure..."

I don't know how to respond to that... It's weird when he says that nickname. Maybe I'm in the wrong for judging though.

I'm bored... so

I'll go ask Knuckles to play a video-game with me! He's like an older brother who is new to how things work on Earth.

As I was heading towards the stairs I felt and saw Sonic quickly zoom past me and to his room, I looked outside and saw Y/n talking to himself. . ?

Tails 'I don't think- Maybe he's talking to himself...'

I then saw Y/n walk back inside looking all confident and more happy

Y/n Pov:

I said bye to Arthur and went on my way back inside the warm House... God it's cold.

I took off my hat and held it as I opened the door knob, I was met with Tails standing by the window on a stool?

Tails: "Y/n-

He stumbled and fell off the stool, so you quickly grabbed onto his soft body catching him, although one foot was standing on the fallen stool

Y/n: -smiling- "You alright?"

Back to Tails Pov

I was being held by Y/n right now... Of course we've hugged, slept together once in that cabin... But this time it's different, I'm feeling hotter, more nervous, and my face feels like it's burning

Tails: "Y-Y/n! I almost fell on you didn't I?"

Y/n: "Forget that, you alright?"

Tails: "I'm fine-

We heard footsteps from behind us

Lane: "Put down the fox."

Y/n ignored him and kept staring at me...

Tails: "Y/n?"

Y/n: "Sorry-! Uh. Right!"

He lightly settled me down and stared at me for a few long seconds, he's... the only other guy I really want to hug...

Y/n Pov:

I settled down the cute smart fox and stared at him, only until I realized that he was staring back... I quickly turned my head away in order to hide a massive bright red blush

Lane: "The hell's going on, are you bullying Tails or something?"

Y/n: "What? Never-

Tails: -blushing- "I'm fine!-

Sonic peeked the corner, and him being your older brother and wingman called over Lane

Sonic: "Hey, Lane! I need your help with something."

Lane: "Alright..."

He walked away to Sonic, thank god Sonic's your brother...

Tails: "Well, Y/n! Thanks for everything-"

Y/n: "I barely did anything though..."

Tails: -nervous- "Uhh, yeah. You're right...."

Knuckles: -shouting- "Fox! Do you wish to battle me in this game of videos!"

Y/n: "Knuckles is calling you over."

Tails: "Right- I'll see you later, Y/n."

Y/n: "Alright! Bye Fox-boy!"

Tails made a weird but cute gasp as he walked away

Cut to Tails Pov:

Oh my god...!... Why am I nervous. I don't know why I'm feeling like this. Am I a nervous shy wreck again? No- I learned to face my fears... Right? Right....

I quickly flew away and left Y/n alone

I feel guilty just leaving like that but if I stand next to him any longer I'll die of a heat stroke~

Knuckles: "Ah, Tails. You've arrived to battle me."

Tails: -cooling off- "Y-yeah."

Knuckles: "Fox, pick up your weird device and control your character!"

I picked up the controller and started playing a few games with Knuckles, he's not really good but he likes to think that he is good. It's quite wholesome though, because he's like an older brother, which I appreciate!

Cut to Y/n's Pov:

He's a small fun-sized fox, just a little bit shorter than me... But I just wanna pick him up and have him cuddle right next to me... Okay, maybe my thoughts are getting too intrusive right now... I should focus on the holidays.... Or maybe ...

Y/n: -shouting- "Sonic! Where ya at, bro?"

He quickly appeared behind you saluting you as a small gesture of your brotherly love

Sonic: "Reportin' for duty."

Y/n: "Hehe, so. Sonic."

Sonic: "Yeeeahh?"

Y/n: "I know we power bumped on it... But....."

Sonic: "What?"

Y/n: "Remember a few months ago when we went to that street in Seattle?"

Sonic: "What street?"

Y/n: "The street with the armored truck robbery, the one we ended up trashing up and ruining."

Sonic: "Oh, yeah! What about it?"

Y/n: "Can we do the same thing and go do random things as 'heroes'?"

Sonic: "Like you said, we power bumped on it...! We made a promise to Tom that we wouldn't go do 'hero' stuff."

Y/n: "I know! But I miss the action in our lives! We used to do stuff, AS BROTHERS! Now we're stuck here, just waiting for something big to happen."

Sonic: "Relax, Y/n. The holidays are coming! We should calm down just enjoy them."

Y/n: "Please, Sonic! I just wanna enjoy that adrenaline rush again."

Y/n: "A few days ago, when I was fighting Lane... I was happy! I felt action! I felt relieved! I'm not meant to be stuck here sitting down."

Sonic: "C'mon, Y/n... I promise we'll play an action game later, alright?"

Y/n: "That won't do... We have powers, right? Well... Let's use them for others! It's the time to give, why don't we make it the time to save! We'll be heroes again, just you and I. As brothers."

Sonic: "--Well... I would. But this is our home, enjoy it. Be glad you have one, Y/n."

Y/n: "Y'know what? We'll discuss this after the Holidays... Alright?"

It's been a few hours... Why is this game so addictive? No way!- TWO HOURS? How- No way I've been playing this game for two hours already..."

Tails: "Psst! Hey- Knuckles!"

I turned to my left and saw him dead asleep with the controller on his stomach

Tails: -whispering- "Already asleep, huh?"

Knuckles just started blabbering and mumbling in his sleep, it was a quite a sight...

Tails: "Maybe I should play for a bit longer..."

But... Maybe, Y/n's free to talk...

Y/n. I should definitely talk to him!

I stood up and then quickly sat back down...

What if he doesn't wanna talk? Maybe he's asleep, it's literally night outside.

Maybe Y/n doesn't want anybody bothering him right now, but he's not like that... I think.

Who knows....

I'm tired... Maybe I should sleep for a few minutes

Third Person Pov:

Tails... He's helpless in a situation like this.- Is he shy again, maybe nervous. Or maybe in love? Who knows maybe he's just nervous, probably that. Video game paranoia, y'know? You finished a round and those tactics you played in-game go to real life.

Yeah... He's probably just nervous.

Let's cut to Y/n's environment

We see Y/n pacing back and forth in the living room, nervous, worried, and guilty. He's still thinking about how he was trying to guilt-trip and pressure his older brother into going to Seattle with him.

The f/c (your color) colored wolf sits down taking a moment, trying to relax himself. The wolf's never randomly had an outburst. Maybe it's maturing? Probably, or probably not...

He now has the look of a person with an idea, so he puts on his hat, tightens his belt and walks towards Knuckles and Tails' room.

He walks in and...

Y/n Pov:

I walked in and just saw their television turned on, the blue light was shining on both Tails and Knuckles, it seems as if Knuckles is covered up with a blanket, surely Tails did that. Heh.

You smiled at the sight, both Tails and Knuckles were fast asleep. But Tails was lying down there without a blanket, it's cold too. December...

I looked around and saw Tails' bed, a somewhat medium-sized bed which could fit the two of you~ Agh... maybe I shouldn't invade his privacy, I'll just lay him down on his bed. (In a normal way... don't get any ideas)

I fixed up his bed, then walked towards the lonely yellow-orange fox. I stood there for a good five seconds just staring at him... Ehhhh...., maybe I'm getting a bit too distracted, so I shook my head and picked him up

How is he so light? And how was he able to carry Sonic and I during the Robotnik shenanigans... He's an impressive fox, that's for sure...

I walked towards his bed and placed him down, covered him up, took off his shoes- but left his socks on, because I'm not a pervert... and was about to walk away.

Until.

I turned around, looked at the small fox covered in his blanket. He's like a little cute baby.

I walked right next to his bed and layed down right next to him, this is awkward. Why was this normal back at the cabin when we had that weird dance-battle, we were able to sleep together without being so shy... Maybe I do actually fully lov-

. . .Remember how I said I wasn't a pervert? This situation isn't really helping- But I don't mean it like that!

Eh, forget it. I'll just go to sleep. Right next to him... The silence died down and you two slept together, Tails' asleep body instinctively grabbed onto you and pulled you in, so you hugged him back. You were happy next to the small fox. A few minutes in, you started hearing a soft purr coming from the fox. Who knew foxes purred? You were enjoying every last minute. Your body was touching his small warm body, it was a really wholesome moment and you loved it.

His twin-tails moved around a little bit at night, it didn't bother you, so you just left it alone and fell asleep next to the charming, cute geek of a fox.

You fell asleep, and immediately woke up inside a trench with people screaming at you. You heard explosions and looked down and saw your hands, you were a human?

You then woke up instinctively and looked right beside you, the fox was still asleep next you. It was a comforting sight that you would never want to get rid of...

You still need your sleep, so you let the panic die down and you fell asleep after drinking some water.

It's currently five in the morning, I had to wake up before Tails in order to make sure that he doesn't find out that I slept with him- ... I'll phrase that better next time ....

So currently I'm back in my room, asleep for a few more hours.

Timeskip to Eight A.M

A few days ago Knuckles told me that I should fix a broken water pipe with him... So why the hell not?

Tails' Pov:

I woke up and stretched... I looked around and saw Knuckles leaving through the door. I realized that I was in my bed.-

I don't remember getting here... Maybe I forgot because I was half asleep.

I stood up and noticed some f/c fur on my bed sheets.... Weird. Wait- that's Y/n's fur! Why is it on my bed?... Maybe he's the one who put me here! Wait...

He put me here! I started blushing just thinking about him carrying me bridal style...~ He picked me up with his own free will and set me here...!? But why...?-

Awww. ... Wait- He saw me asleep on the ground like an idiot! C'mon Tails... You even mess stuff up when you're asleep.

Oh well... It's a new day, I'll enjoy it.

I stood up from my bed, and put on my shoes. Oddly enough, putting on my shoes took way too long... I'm still a bit tired, but I'll push through it!

I stood up all confident, even though I just woke up and was for sure really... really tired. . .

I heard a voice shouting from the attic

Sonic: -Shouting, muffled- "Wakey, Wakey, Y/n!"

Y/n: -shouting, muffled- "I am awake!"

I just laughed to myself about the situation, I walked to the mirror on the wall and looked at myself for a couple of seconds, why? I don't really know, it's just one of those things you do when you wake up...

Timeskip after breakfast

I ate breakfast, greeted everyone, normal everyday stuff...

I was still a little bit tired from waking up, but not too tired.

I yawned and stretched a little until Sonic rallied everybody up

Sonic: -eager- "Everybody! Come outside!"

I heard the joy in his voice, so it must be a good thing!

I quickly flew outside and saw Ozzy sitting down being a dog...

I turned to my left and saw, Sonic!

Tails: "Sonic! What's up?"

Sonic: "Hey there, Tails! We gotta decorate the house!"

Tails: "Neat! Like Halloween, right?"

Sonic: "Yep! But instead of that weird "eerie" stuff it's gonna be Christmas themed!"

Tails: "Like Candy Canes?"

Sonic: "See, bud? You're getting the hang of it! A few more months it'll be like you've been living on Earth foreva!"

I smiled at him and then saw Lane and Cadet walk out

Cadet: "Hiya! What happened?"

Sonic: "We're decorating the house!"

Lane: "What for?"

Tails: "Christmas."

Lane: "Right..."

Sonic: "Anyways, let's get started! Y/n and Knuckles should come down any minute."

Sonic then put out a box full of random lights and weird inflatable candy canes

We got some ladders and started hanging the lights, I'll be honest with you, decorating is really fun!

Cadet started placing down some weird Candy Canes and then plugging them in, to my surprise they lit up... I expected something else to be honest.

I started flying with my tails adding decorations to areas that they normally could not reach.

Ozzy was just walking around staring at us

A few minutes in and Knuckles and Y/n came running out, for some reason Knuckles and Y/n were covered in water...

Y/n: "Run Knuckles! Run!"

Knuckles: "Keep up!"

The gunslinger and fighter stopped running when they noticed us adding stuff to the house

Y/n: "Decorating? Without me?"

Lane: "And we already accomplished a lot without you."

Cadet just elbowed Lane in the stomach in a passive-aggressive way

Sonic: "I called you! Besides, why are you drenched in water?"

Y/n: "Responsibilities."

Knuckles: "The wolf is right. We were fixing a tube where water passes through."

Sonic: "A water pipe?"

Knuckles: "Correct."

Tails: "C'mon Y/n! Why don't you help us decorate the house?"

Y/n: "Sure. What do I do-

Tails: "You alright?"

Y/n: "Perfect!"

It seems as if little ol' Y/n remembers last night

Tails: "Can you pass me some decorations?"

Y/n: "On my way."

Sonic Pov:

I can't have Knuckles stand around doing nothing, so I'll call him over to help me!

Sonic: "Come help me here, Knuckles!"

Knuckles: "Already going, Hedgehog."

He quickly speed walked here and started shoving those weird signs into dirt ( that have the metal things that you put in dirt.)

I used my speed as an advantage and plugged in some weird light that works like a projector onto the house, it had these weird things that would shine onto the house

Sonic: "Welp! I'll say it. It looks good!"

Tails: "So this is what the outcome looks like?"

Lane Pov:

The house looked like a jumbled mess, albeit it still looked a bit "festive"

Cadet seems to have been getting used to these... allies. She no longer stutters around them or acts all nervous. But you could tell she's still a little bit nervous deep down.

I turned over to Cadet and just started talking about the decorations, normal stuff.

Y/n Pov:

Back to good old me!

Anyways, I should've dried myself off... I'm freezing! The cold hurts!

I somehow managed to get away with the "secret sleepover" without anyone finding out, they might as well call me James Bond.

I tucked my hat onto my head and started a conversation with Sonic while adding the... What's it called? The weird ring of leaves that go onto a door and normally have like a red ribbon. I don't know...

Y/n: "Sonic, you wanna do something later?"

Sonic: "Sure! I'm down... Do what?"

Y/n: "Wanna go to Green Hills Town and do some stuff."

Sonic: "Sure! Been a while since we've bonded."

Y/n: "Alright, bet!"

I had an idea of helping out random people for fun, technically I'm not breaking the promise I made to Tom since it's near us.

With Sonic it'll be ten times more fun!

Cadet walked up to me and asked me something

Cadet: "So... Who was that man in the hallway?"

I turned pale and panicked... I forgot that she had Dead-Eye. I'll be honest, she's the type of person I would help out. But her friend Lane is a narcissistic prick.

Y/n: "A man? Pfft... Only man here is Tom."

Cadet: "But Tom isn't-

Y/n: "Wow... Looks like-

Think. Think. Think.

In panick I said Lane....

Y/n: "Looks like Lane is calling me over- You should talk to Sonic."

I have to walk over to Lane now.... Great.

Y/n: "Heyy... There, Lane."

Lane: "Morning to you, too."

Y/n: "Uhh... C'mon, what happened to the fun Lane, Tom told me about!"

Lane: "I don't know what lies you've been told about... Y/n."

Y/n: -sweating- "That's wild.... So you ever use your sword on somebody?"

Lane's tension lowered, seems as if a question like that made him relaxed.

Lane: "Many times, not in the use of bad."

Y/n: "You ever add bleach to your sword to make it 'poisonous'?"

Lane chuckled at the comment and relpied with

Lane: -smiling- "I wish."

You two somehow managed to connect and laughed it off.

Tails Pov:

I saw Y/n and Lane actually bonding, it's a nice sight seeing Y/n be happy. At least Lane isn't mad at him anymore... Okay, he probably still is a little bit- but it's not as much.

Sonic: "Tails! You wanna read my new comic book with me?"

Tails: "Sure! Is it the second part to the one we read previously?"

Sonic: "Yep!"

Tails: "Nice!"

Third Person Pov:

Everybody went back inside, Y/n, Knuckles, and Lane were having those weird stupid 'bro' moments together doing random things.

Cadet found out about The Real Housewives and started bingewatching that.

Tails and Sonic read the comic book, Sonic even gifted Tails a signed copy. Even though it wasn't Christmas yet.

Cut to around Six P.M

Tom and Maddie arrive in around three hours, they've gone Christmas shopping. Wade is currently on duty being the best life-form on planet Earth and being the highest quality a human male could ever be.
