《NGỌZI ( Blessing)》Chapter Seven.

Disgust, frustrate, sicken.
Its been over seven years of marriage with Gozie and we still had no children to show for it.
My inability to bear forth children of my own reduced me to a laughing stock, i could not be in a public gathering without people mocking and making gestures of me.
I was known and referred to as the woman who produces money instead of children, a lot of people referred to me as only good in making money and not children.
Making an appearance in the assembly of other women was a torment, either i am been mimicked, or they were jeering. In fact my presence at any female gathering was greeted with derision.
Gozie did not seem to be bothered about what people had to say about me, rather he took advantage of the situation to continue with his dirty affairs with women.
There were days i just could not endure it anymore and the thoughts of ending the marriage just as my father had advised me crowded my mind.
But i did not want Gozie to have the victory, within me i was convinced that my inability to have children had something to do with Gozie's infidelity, so i began to sought for help from close friends.
The first step i took to finding solutions to my predicament was seeking for God and getting to know him.
I started praying more to God, attending prayer crusades and i equally switched worshiping in a Catholic Church to a spiritual white garment church for a better solution to my predicament through revelations and prophecies.
My first month of worshiping in the white garment church was filled with a-lot of prophecies and assignments, all of which i listened and carried out passionately.
It was not long enough that i started attending

spiritual church and carrying out the different assignments based on revelations and prophecies, that heavens stretched fort its merciful hands on me.
One day at my salon this customer turned friend of mine who always encouraged me never to loose faith in God suggested a gynecologist to me, according to her he is listed among the best top five gynecologist in town and has helped a lot of women with child birth issues.
His of a France origin and was only related to Cameroon by his grandmother who was a Cameroonian and goes by the name Mr Richard Sebastian.
She gave me his address and phone number and told me to call him beforehand to book an appointment with him as he is a very busy man and i agreed.
I proceeded to dial his number and introduced myself to him as well as my reasons for calling and with the help of my referral i was able to book an appointment with him.
A day later i visited this gynecologist and explained to him my reasons for the consultation, but he requested that i and Gozie should run some medical tests to know where the problem is from.
I went home and informed Gozie about it and he agreed after so much contretemps, we both went to the hospital together for the tests and returned home afterwards to await for the results.
Three days later i got a call from the gynecologist saying that our test results were out and that i should come over to the hospital.
I took a quick bath, called my employees and assigned them to take of care of some important customers i was supposed to attend to that morning.
I arrived at the hospital and headed straight towards the gynecologist office as he was already on sitting awaiting for me.

Knock! Knock! Knock!
"Come in"
Good morning Mr Richard.
"Good morning Mrs Stella Ngọzi
Please have a seat", he offered.
Thanks Sir.
"You did not come with your husband?" He asked looking curious.
No Sir, he had urgent works. I replied.
"Really!"He exclaimed with so much intrigue.
What could be more important for a man
"who has not been able to have kids for seven years?" He added
Well, Sir am here now.
Do you mind telling me what the test results says?
I asked with an unsettled tone.
"Well we're both about to find out, so shall we?"
Yes! i replied hastily.
He proceeded to open the white envelope
containing our results and was reading it rather soundlessly.
Is everything okay Mr Richard? i asked.
While waiting for a reply to my question with bated
breathe.
He took what seemed to me like forever to raise his head nor even say a word to me.
After a long silence from him he then raised his head dropped the pink sheet of paper he pulled out from the white envelope, took off his glasses and gave me a rather pitiful look.
"Madam where did you say your husband went to?
He asked angrily.
Phone your husband and tell him his presence is needed here urgently". He added.
Sir is there a problem? Please!
I asked again.
A question he did not entertain and insisted on Gozie presence before he would read out the test results.
I phoned Gozie and told him the gynecologist requested for his presence before he could reveal the test results.
A phone call which almost lead to a quarrel between Gozie and i because he claimed he had stated earlier that he would not be available.
He later agreed to come after i passed the phone to the gynecologist to speak to him.
Few minutes later Gozie joined me in the gynecologist office.
While Gozie sat close to me waiting to hear the results, Mr Richard suddenly had this queer and un-amiable attitude towards him.
Instead of reading the results out to us he rather looked at Gozie angrily and said...
" How could you Mr Gozie?
How could you be this wicked and mean?"
I was shocked at the same time confused.
Now i was even more eager to hear what the test results said as i sat at the edge of my seat.
Mr Richard continued.....
"You knew you had deadly sexually transmitted infections and you did not bother to treat yourself nor even tell your wife about it"
How could you be this wicked!
"You are the reason why your wife has not able to have children, you could have treated yourself but you did not rather you infected your wife and that almost damaged her womb." An enraged mr Richard screamed.
On hearing this i almost swoon.
Gozie what have i done to you to deserve all this? I cried out.
All these years you knew you were the problem of our childlessness and you allowed your family point fingers at me..,how could you?
I hate you with everything in me! I screamed so loud that Mr Richard had to hold me down to my seat.
Gozie sat down still speechless and a bit remorseful.
Mr Richard went ahead to counsel Gozie on the dangers of having numerous sexual partners and as well as unprotected sex.
He also prescribed some drugs to Gozie and i and drew an appointment times-table as well.
He further warned Gozie never to repeat such again as the consequences might not be this minor.

By cold steel and elemental sorcery, they brought peace to a warring land on the brink of destruction. As the flames died, the realm needed strong leadership, and who better than the champions who had saved the kingdom? But when the people sought out their saviors... they vanished. Matt, Blake, Jen, and Carl: the four mysterious companions, who together had deposed an insane ruler and saved countless lives, were gone—spirited back in a whirlwind of magic to a sleepy suburb in Mellbridge, Oregon, never to return. The friends found themselves home in the real world, exactly as they'd been the night they were taken, as if no time had passed... except only three came back. Hi there! This was my entry for National Novel Writing Month, because why only write one series at a time? The more the merrier! (meanwhile, my keyboard bursts into flames...) I'm also the writer of The Last Science, an ongoing low-fantasy/speculative sci-fi series. If you're familiar with that, you know what to expect here: lots of character-focused drama and dialogue, not a whole lot of traditional action. However, I'm writing a bit differently than usual here, and in a very different structure, so there should be some surprises for returning readers. I hope you enjoy it! [Discord] — for those of you who want to hang out and chat. Cover art (fullsize): Path of Revelation, by taenaron (Tobias Roetsch), modified by Etzoli. Normally I like to do my own cover art from scratch, but I was in a rush for the contest. Might be replaced down the line if I get time. Wildling
Blurb: Silas--a scavenger living off the ruins of humanity--has spent his entire life fighting tooth and nail to provide for himself and his crew. But when a scavenging run goes awry and he's snatched up by an android patrol, he finds himself thrown into a cage and priced to sell as a pet. And when a suitor comes calling, he fears the worst: that he'll be turned into a Domestic, a human lapdog brainwashed into total obedience. Instead, he discovers an equally disturbing truth: that the creatures who stole his world have created a videogame the likes of which Earth has never seen; a sprawling, game-like theme park where humans are the Avatars and androids are the players who control them. And to make matters worse, his android guide is as hopeless as they come, having gotten all of her previous Avatars killed in record time. So if Silas wants to regain his freedom, he'll not only have to fight his way through a world that was specifically designed to murder him in brutal fashion--he'll also have to convince his android guide that he should be the one calling the shots. FAQS: Q: Who are you, handsome stranger? A: I'm Kyle Kirrin, the author of Shadeslinger, book 1 of The Ripple System, published by Portal Books, and I write crunchy LitRPG. Q: What is Wildling? And is it complete? A: Wildling is a crunchy LitRPG mash up of Fantasy and Science Fiction. And yup, Wildling is already complete at 64 chapters, or about 120,000 thousand words. You're looking at something like a third draft here--it's fairly polished, but it hasn't been picked over by a copy editor yet nor has my developmental editor seen it. Q: Upload schedule? A: 5 initial chapters today (2/15/2021) and one chapter a day for the next month. After that I'll probably slow down to 2 or 3 chapters a week until the story is complete. Q: How crunchy is it? A: It's pretty crunchy. I'd put it on the same tier as Ascend/The Land/RSSG, but it might be a bit crunchier than those three? Q: Is this the first book in a series or a web novel or what? And what are your plans for it? A: It's currently a standalone with series potential. Full disclosure: this story may head the way of my publisher eventually, but will be available on RR for quite a while no matter what. Likely several months after it's complete with plenty of warning before/if it's taken down. Q: What kind of build does the MC create? A: Sword and board! Q: Crafting? A: Plenty! Crafting isn't as center stage as it is in The Way of the Shaman, but it's close. Q: Base building? A: Two fully separate, distinct bases, both of which play a major role in the story. Q: VRMMO? Portal? Reincarnation or what? A: This one's a bit tricky. Basically an advanced race has created a game-like world that closely resembles a theme park. Think Westworld but with copious amounts of loot. And the MC has to fight his way through that to earn his freedom. Q: Permadeath? A: Nope! The MC gets 3 lives to play through the entirety of the game world, and death is extremely punishing, but not fatal. Q: Harem? Or romance? A: No and no. Q: Cursing? Blood? A: Quite a bit of cursing, yeah. There's blood, too, but it's not a gory book by any means. Q: How can I support? A: Instead of a Patreon/donations etc, I'd ask that you consider giving my debut LitRPG Shadeslinger a chance. It's free on Kindle Unlimited and the audio is already out narrated by Travis Baldree. It's an epic fantasy VRMMO where the main character gets 3 days of exclusive access to a new game plus a snarky, talking axe to guide him through it in exchange for agreeing to become the target of a serverwide manhunt once the Head Start period ends. Q: How's it similar to Wildling? And how's it different? A. The crunch level is very similar, but Shadeslinger is a much lighter, epic fantasy take on the genre. It's also VRMMO, but without any real world components aside from the first chapter. The MC is very different--he comes off as a bit of a jerk early on and can take a bit to warm up to, especially before his backstory is revealed--but he's also got a talking axe that constantly puts him in his place. Shadeslinger's a much more humorous story in general, and it's a great deal more polished as well. Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy Wildling!

The True Endgame
What defines endgame content? Is it raiding epic dungeons to take down the strongest bosses there are, or is it facing off against other players to climb the ladder and become the top PvPer? Is endgame content gathering materials and crafting the strongest and most exotic equipment that there is, or is it all about playing the market and amassing more wealth than everybody else? Some people even argue that fashion and minigames are endgame content! Ryouta has already done all of that. Having spent most of his life playing MMO after MMO, he now finds himself wanting to live a virtual life that is far more relaxed and casual than what he is known for. To Ryouta, the true endgame is fishing. Cover illustrated by KoeHaru1!

blacklight
So here’s the deal: my name is Kihri Vyas, and I’m dead. (That’s not really important, it happened ages ago, but it’s good to have the context.) Anyway, me and my sister Zarah (the only person who can see or hear me) have basically been on our own since I kicked the bucket, surviving on the streets of Kaila and sort of just being miserable and bored and tired a lot. I mean, I haven’t, cause I’m dead, but she has. It sucks, but that’s business as usual for us. What isn’t B-A-U is that a bunch of other homeless folks have been disappearing in the last few months, and some of them have been turning up with anatomically-improbable, but extraordinary fatal, injuries. Cops don’t give a shit, of course, and my sister’s a boneheaded bleeding heart, so we’ve been investigating them ourselves. And, well, we’ve found a bunch of weird shit. Stuff made of solid light, ghost attack dogs, people glowing black, somehow, some kind of living robot… Actually, you know what? It’s probably easier if you see for yourself. blacklight is a modern fantasy story it's not about being gay but rest assured its gay as fuck nevertheless it updates fridays at 2 p.m. AEST on its own site at https://spectrochroma.wordpress.com/ Chapters are uploaded here one week after they finish on the main site.
