《Hunter's Rose》Epilogue

2 weeks later....

I let out a soft sigh against the pillow I was laid on as Hunter's hands ran across my back. The lotion on his hands cooling the irritated skin.

The lash marks were pretty much healed, thanks to magical medicine Mak had given me. He definitely didn't miss his calling. All that was left of them were irritating, itchy scabs.

I smiled softly as Hunter's head came down, his face landing beside my own.

"Hi." I whispered softly, my gaze fluttering over his features before meeting his eyes.

He sent me a soft smile. "Hi beautiful." My cheeks warmed, causing his smile to turn into a grin.

I rolled my eyes playfully, my hand coming up to shove his shoulder lightly. He gave me a cheeky grin before swooping in and claiming my lips. Butterflies filled my stomach as his lips moved against mine. What should have been a blissful moment, was quickly interrupted by the sound of a dying whale.

My cheeks warmed as Hunter's laughter rang through the room as he pulled away. His hand coming to rest on my stomach, his gaze meeting mine in a teasing manner. "Let's go feed this beast shall we?"

I quickly nodded, jumping from the bed and pulling my shirt back down my back. I was out of the door before Hunter had even made it off of the bed, my hand coming up to cool my heated cheeks.

He caught up with me at the bottom of the stairs, his arms wrapping around my stomach from behind. I let out a slight squeal as he spun me around a few times.

A few moment later Dan came through the doorway carrying a box, a confused Jackson following behind him. A giddy feeling soared through my body as he brought the box over, my foot tapping in excitement. Dan sent me a quick wink before turning to Hunter.

"These," he began, pulling a folder out of his briefcase and sliding them across the counter. "Declare you all an offical motorcycle club." A grin pulled on my face as cheers erupted throughout the room. "All I need is a couple of signatures, a club name, and you're good to go."

"Oh shit!" Jackson exclaimed. "We've talked about this for a long time, but we never decided on a name."

"Actually," Dan responded, a small smile on his face. "Rose and I took care of that for you."

I felt my cheeks heat up as all eyes landed on me, curiosity burning in each of them.

"Rose." My gaze moved back to Dan, his hand swept towards the box on the counter. "If you would."

My hands trembled slightly as they moved to open the flaps. What if they hated it? I shook my head quickly, taking a deep breath.

I glanced up at the men surrounding me. "You all have done so much for me, that I wanted to do something to try and return the favor. I don't know much about clubs, but I do know that most have road names."

My gaze connected with Hunter's, my worry vanishing at the warmth that I saw in his eyes. "I wanted more than just simple, quickly thought, road names. I felt that you all deserved something more personal."

I glanced back down at the box in front of me. "I talked with Dan, and we had some vests made with names on them, names that made me think of you all. Nothing is official yet, so if you don't like them we can change them. It's really no-" my over thought rambling was cut off by light laughter. I glanced back up, warmth spreading across my face.

"Shortcake, you're over thinking it." Ace chuckled. "I'm sure we will all more than appreciate the names you've given us."

I glanced around as all the guys nodded, my gaze moving to the box once again. Taking a deep, unsure breath, I pulled the first vest out.

"Jackson." I smiled lightly as he perked up, taking quick steps toward the counter. "This one is for you."

I watched as he took the folded black vest from my hands, everyone mo ed closer to read the club name printed across the back. The Punishers.

"That part was my idea." Dan bragged, a proud smile on his face. "Rose picked out the names though."

"I like it." Jackson declared, turning around to get everyone's nod of approval, his eyes brightened as he turned it around and read the name printed on the upper left side.

Pyro. A grin spread across his face as he turned to show everyone before he quickly slid the vest over his shirt.

"Whaddya think, giggles?" The wide grin on his face brought out my own grin, my heart soaring in relief and happiness.

"I think you look very badass." I complimented.

I moved back to the box, reaching in for the next one.

A permanent smile was on my face as I watched all of the guys show off their new vests.

Warmth filled me as arms wrapped around my waist. "Grizz, huh?" A low voice sounded in my ear.

I turned in Hunter's arms, sending him a cheeky smile. "It does have a nice ring to it."

He hummed in agreement, placing a kiss on my forehead. My gaze moved down to his vest. I slowly ran my fingers over the patched words above his name. President.

Apparently the guys had all voted for who would be in what position when they first made plans to start a club.

Ace's vest had Spider in the upper left corner, just below Sgt at Arms.

Jai's had the name Chief displayed under the words Vice President.

Above Pyro, Jackson's vest had the words Enforcer.

On Arthur's vest the name Hacker appeared below the title Secretary.

Mak was the only one without a title above his name, Doc.

Mainly because he was already working a full time job on top of being in a club, that and it was obvious what his main role would be.

I turned back around, glancing across the room at everyone. A sense of belonging rushed through me, more intense than I've ever felt before. My heart swelled as I looked at each person. This was my family, whether they wanted to be or not. There is no way I could ever not care about anyone in this room.

My head tilted up as I moved my gaze to Hunter, who was already staring down at me, a thoughtful look on his face.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I questioned warily.

His lips pulled into a rougish grin. "You're beautiful."

I rolled my eyes, trying to ignore the warmth blooming across my face. "You're crazy."

He gave a low hum, leaning down to rest his forehead against my own. "Crazy for you."

I bit my lip to try and contain the smile forming, butterflies swarmed through my stomach.

"That was smooth." I admitted, a small laugh falling from my lips.

He pulled back, his gaze moving from my eyes, to my lips, and back again. That thoughtful crossed his face again. He glanced away, running a hand through his beard.

I tilted my head slightly, my brows furrowing in concern. "Is everything ok?"

His gaze moved back to mine, he let out a rough laugh. "This is more difficult than I thought it would be." He muttered softly.

I grabbed one of his hands, rubbing my thumbs over his knuckles soothingly. "Hey. It's ok. You can tell me anything." I gave him a soft, encouraging, smile.

He pulled his hand from mine and turned away, making my stomach drop.

"Hunt-" I was cut off by him spinning around quickly.

One second I was starting at his back. The next, I was wrapped in his arms. His left hand pressing against my lower back, pushing my chest against his. The right one cupping the left side of my face.

My breath sped up, my gaze switching between his intense eyes, a fire rushing through my veins.

What felt like minutes, but was probably only seconds, passed before his lips pulled into a crooked grin.

"I love you."

My heart stopped. Before is sped up, beating so fast I was convinced the whole room could hear it.

My mouth opened and closed as I tried to process what he said. He loved....

"Me?" I questioned, my voice hoarse.

"You, darlin." His grin grew, his gaze moving over my face, his thumb sweeping across my cheekbone. "Every bit of you."

"Even when I steal the covers?" I questioned.

Another laugh rumbled from him. "Especially when you steal the covers."

He moved his hand to push my hair back, before placing it back on my cheek. "I don't expect you to say it back, darlin. That wasn-"

"Shut up." His eyes widened in amusement at my interruption. "Of course I love you, you big oaf."

I was momentarily stunned by the grin that spread on his face, before melting as his lips met my own. If I thought our previous kisses were amazing, this one, was phenomenal. Nothing else in the world mattered, except the man that had me wrapped in his arms.

When we finally pulled away, it took a few moments for the clapping to reach my ears. A blush spread across my face as I remembered the room full of people.

"Well hot damn, what a day!" Jackson exclaimed, causing a bubble of laughter to escape my lips.

I glanced around the room at all of the smiling faces, grinning when Lisa sent me a wink, her hand fanning her face.

My heart filled with more happiness than I ever thought possible.
