《How I Became A Jarl》Back To Village pt. 2

We didn’t need to wait too long for Skyge and the wolves to come back with a hunting trophy. Each one of the wolves got a rabbit. They dropped them in front of me and wiggled their tails. Behind them stood Skyge with something in his mouth… He caught a mouse… and it was still alive and was trying to escape his grasp.
[ Eric ]
“Skyge…”
[ Skyge ]
“Yes, Master!?” Said excited Skyge waiting for me to praise him.
[ Eric ]
“Good that you caught something… But next time try to catch something bigger okay? So maybe let this mouse go.”
[ Skyge ]
“Okey… I’ll try harder next time!” Said Skyge as he dropped the mouse.
[ Eric ]
“Counting on it. See Hakon? No matter how old the hunter might be with the wolf's help he can hunt better than alone in his young age.”
[ Hakon ]
“I’ll talk with him later and ask what he thinks.”
[ Eric ]
“Cool. Tell me once you talked with him.”
[ Hakon ]
“Cool? But it’s a pretty warm day for a fall…” Whispered to himself, Hakon.
There were no problems with wolves when we were coming back. Even when they looked like they wanted to wander away. They just didn’t do that. Looks like help from Skyge made everything happen faster and I didn’t have to use my False Fear.
I almost forgot about my house in the village… I know why I forgot… Because I lived in a much better apartment in the Pure Sun than this hut! No. That’s the house I wanted… It’s just living in the Pure Sun made me used to luxuries… Now I miss them… Maybe I’ll just buy a new house with the money from astvar. Or even better! Build a new one the way I like it! Yes! Maybe I’ll even build this next to this hut and changed it into some kind of storage room… or just leave Tae there so he wouldn’t bother me anymore…

Looking at this hut made me immediately decide what to do with my earned money. I’ll build myself a house. I have an ax for wood and money for resources. I’ll buy whatever I need! On my way to Astvar to ask for permission, I saw guards moving toward a shore. Are those monsters attacking again?
What I saw coming out of this water wasn’t what I expected. It was like 3 meters tall one arm was covered in something hard because it blocked every arrow that flew toward him. Three smaller monsters behind him were killed immediately. Astvar came out from behind a wooden wall and no one stopped him.
He cut his hand and pulled out something. Two-meter-long silver spear. How did he hide it in there? Or is it a spell? He hit the ground once with it and the ground began to shake so hard that everyone fell. Even the monster fell to its knees. He raised the spear and it looked like it became a bit longer. With one swing he cut off the monster’s hard arm. Before it could give a scream he stuck the spear in his head. The monster died just like that while on its knees.
[ Eric ]
“Amazing…” I whispered.
It was an amazing spell but it came with a cost because Astvar collapsed and fell to the ground. Guards took them back to his home meanwhile the rest of them gathered the corpses of the monsters in one place and set them on fire with a torch. The bodies burned pretty fast and the only thing left was the ashes.
That might be the best way to kill the monsters. With fire! So maybe fire arrows will do it? But how do you exactly make them? There might be even better ways to use fire but my brain is empty as of now… And I can’t exactly talk with Astvar now… I wonder which god he follows? I don’t know much about Norse Mythology. I only know about Loki, Thor… and Odyn.

Now I have nothing to do! Waiting for Hakon with a word from a hunter, Astvar collapsed so he won’t be able to talk with me and even if he is awake I don’t want to bother him after that… Although I’m interested in that ability of his. Maybe they miss me at the inn. Once I stepped in I was warmly welcomed by the same waitress that I “saved”.
[ Waitress ]
“Oh! Our little hero came back! Long time no see! What would you like to order? The usual?” Said an excited and happy waitress.
One time she spun me around and before I knew what happened I was sitting on the chair by the table with a plate of meat and carrots in front of me. For some reason, I also had a cup of beer in my hand. When did all of that happen? Not that it matters.
It was a simple meal but now that I think about it. I actually missed this simple life. Especially I missed a place where every freaking god fanatic watched my every move! That was a kind of scary experience sometimes. An old lady screamed at me and thought I was a demon because I said “That’s dope.” I meant it in a way like “That nice thing” and she screamed at me “Go demon! GO AWAY! GUARDS!” Guards arrived but they definitely felt lost once they saw an old lady calling me a demon. Explaining it all was kind of funny.
[ Hakon ]
“Here you are.” Said Hakon as he sat in front of me.
[ Eric ]
“What’s up?” I said but Hakon literally looked up to see what was above us.
[ Hakon ]
“Ceiling?”
[ Eric ]
“No… I mean what happens… With that hunter, you told me about.”
[ Hakon ]
“He laughed at me that I proposed to him a hunt with a wolf, with something that he hunts.”
[ Eric ]
“It's weird in a way.”
[ Hakon ]
“But he said ‘Whatever… If you want then come back here with that pet of yours.’ So I think he is interested in a way.”
[ Eric ]
“Sure just let me finish and we can get going. Would you like something? It’s on me.”
[ Hakon ]
“Well… If you propose. I’ll just take a beer.”
[ Eric ]
“Waitress! One beer please!”
[ Waitress ]
“Coming!”
Maybe I didn’t have many friends but in school, I was a very social guy. I wouldn’t let anyone be ignored in front of me. I treated Hakon to a beer and gave a few chunks of meat to Skyge who was sitting on my lap all this time. When we finished eating we went to the hunter. We followed exactly the same path to my hut. We just entered one building before my hut.

Saga of Fallen Kings, Book I: The Revenant Prince
The Philosopher King once conquered the known world, his power seemingly unlimited and his armies inexhaustible. Since that time his might has slowly unravelled, and his once steadfast empire has begun to crack, splinter and devour itself. In the isolated Southern Realms, where even magic has abandoned them, none of that matters. For years it has been filled with warring kingdoms, where as many kings die to the blade as to old age, and constant battles tear apart the land. When one such kingdom invades its old enemy, the King and his heir, Prince Caden, are killed. Unable to accept the loss of his family Prince Arian is broken, and when the Philosopher King stretches out his hand in aid, Arian takes it without a second thought. When Caden wakes from death, he's different. His eyes and soul have changed, and he finds a world filled with friends who no longer trust he's even human. Suddenly thrust onto the throne and indebted to the Philosopher King, Caden has no choice but to keep going - he must finish what his father started, and try to survive the machinations of the figure who now owns his fealty. Meanwhile something beyond death stirs for him, desiring nothing more than to drag him back into its embrace. Author's Note: This story used to be known as "A King of his Own", but after some consideration I have decided to rebrand it. The first reason is that I was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the title. The second is that I have come increasingly to view this story as a 'saga' containing multiple 'books' rather than one long, continuous publication, and as I did so I realized that as I was quickly getting to a point in the story where I wanted the first 'book' to end. This doesn't mean I'm going back on the things I said below - they're just going to continue in the next book of the Saga of Fallen Kings. :) Also, be aware that I do plan to edit this at some point. Though I take care to squash out any obvious errors when I proof-read, and do simple edits in that process, at some point I'm almost certainly going to do large edits that might significantly change parts of the story. Old author's notes: This started as a completely random writing session. There was no purpose or direction, but as I kept typing an entire world began to form in my mind that I knew I had to write about. My plan is to turn this story into a veritable medieval fantasy epic that spans an entire world, follows multiple character and storylines, and takes place over many years. The story has quite a grounded, almost 'realistic' start, but many more fantastical elements will be introduced, expanded upon and become central to the narrative. I have ideas for this story that make me genuinely excited and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy writing it, and join me on what will hopefully become a truly massive fantasy epic. If you do enjoy this story please consider following, rating and leaving a review. I'm also happy to answer any questions or comments you have. Edge of the Storm
A thousand years after narrowly escaping extinction, humanity still fights for survival on the fringe of space. On the alien, hostile world of Deana, Taro is tasked with dealing a mortal blow to an enemy that has pursued the last dregs of the human species across light years. From the Wild Summer hyper-carrier, Taro must strike out at an enemy that seems like it would stop at absolutely nothing to ensure humanity's time in the universe draws to an end. The key to it all is Valerie, a human bred super-weapon, and the discovery she makes aboard the enemy craft Delirium. What to expect from Edge of the Storm: You will find here a slow burning story that is punctured by moments of high flying action, intense mecha battles, gory hand-to-hand combat, tough decisions and sacrifices. What you won't find are black and white morals, harems, cute girls, big boobs, or anything else that might bring me troves of readers. You have been warned. Update schedule: Saturdays (and maybe Wednesdays).

History's Strongest Disciple Fanfiction
I love the Manga and Anime so much that I wanted to put a bit of myself inside it, It might come as a stupid power fiction, but I did my best to make it at least a bit amusing and a bit more believable. The plot will go sidelines with the occurrences from the original story and do my best to not side track the story, but I have to warn that at some point the story goes highwire. This is the Story of Yashin, whom transfers schools at the same point as Miu, ending in the same school as Kenichi and ending falling in love with a certain someone. There's not much going on, but I think the start is rather good.
