《The Legend of the North》chapter 28

This time he found several beasts including a huge herd of what looked like bulls with fur and horns three times as large. According to the book " What a hunter must know to understand nature " these were called bison and were only dangerous if one got too close.
Ezer heeds the advice and avoids them for kilometers, although this leads him down more difficult paths, it's better than facing those huge bison.
When food started to get scarce, Ezer manages to catch two eagles that ironically tried to hunt him. These were incredibly aggressive and more than once he saw their claws close in on his head. According to the book, these were not too dangerous if they were not in flocks, and they dispersed in pairs to raise their chicks.
His diet of only meat and water kept him alive, but it impacted his body nonetheless.
Fourteen days since he stepped foot in the mountains for the first time. Despite being a quarter of his original weight, his luggage was heavier than ever. He regretted deciding to climb a mountain that seemed relatively easy at first, but became difficult with each step.
“I definitely have more respect for these mountains now.” He rests on a rock for a moment and when he catches his breath, he continues.
He come to a place where there was a drop off to the right and a cliff that curves forward and to the left creating a sort of nature trail. Determined not to turn back, Ezer takes a chance and crosses it.
In front of his eyes a valley stretches out, and what lies above that valley takes his breath away.
Ezer had to use his feet and hands to make his way down the ravine slowly despite the excitement building inside him.

"What's something like that doing in this place? Nobody was supposed to be there.” Having reached the end of the ravine, Ezer comes across soft, green grasses brimming with life.
"It's nice to see life after so many rocks." A forest stretched out before him, each tree twice as tall as others he knew.
“How strange… I feel as if this forest comforts me and the air is denser and purer… But there also seems to be something hidden…” He inhales until his lungs are full and exhales slowly.
“I have enough experience to know that it is far away despite seeming so close, that means it is huge.” Over a clearing, Ezer manages to see his destination above the treetops.
"I'm definitely not going to arrive before nightfall, the descent took me a long time and I'm not in good condition." He closes his eyes trying to calm the pains he felt in his head.
“This is a good place to spend the night. Those stairs indicate that I am on the right path.” The roots of the trees were intertwined with the earth and stones to create stairs that seemed to be created by the will of nature.
Ezer lights a fire and leaves his equipment near a huge rock, returning from looking for water, the site is different from when he left and the marks on the ground made it clear.
“Huh? Did the fire change places? No, it was... the rock?” He approaches with the dagger in his hand as a precaution.
He puts his free hand on the rock, seeing nothing strange around, he quickly withdraws it confused. He puts it back to make sure and can't help expressing intrigue on his face.
"It's hot... How can it be...? The fire? No, very far and very little time... so...” His attention is completely focused on the enigma and he doesn't notice that the rock from two meters high became five.

He looks up and instantly dodges as he notices a huge hand on his head. The rock now has what looks like two arms, two legs, and also a head.
“Ohh… This time it was… too long, to think I'd be covered in dirt. hmm? A child... human?” His voice was deep and brittle on some words. "Sorry, but your luck isn't the best." He extends his arms with alarming speed and Ezer panics knowing that there is no escape.
But instead of feeling pain, his hair is ruffled in an awkward and strangely precise way for a being of such size. He opens his eyes and sees the rock's confused expression, or the closest thing to an expression.
"Hmm? Human or non-human? Elf or no elf?” It brings his head down to the same level as Ezer's, fixing his yellow eyes on him.
At that moment Ezer's mind frantically tries to put together all the pieces of information it had. Books, legends, the stories of his mother and what was in this valley in order to understand what the strange being in front of him says and give the best answer.
“Half Blood! Mixed human and elven blood.” He answers nervously, knowing that him has the strength to crush him before he knows it, if wants to.
"Hmm... mix? That exist? It may be... it may be... some elven blood that I can tell.” His speech quickens and is now more understandable than before.
“Magic, the innate ability of the elves. If you can prove it... you'll be right.” He keeps watching Ezer, and unbeknownst to him, he's ready for any movement.
"Shit... of all things it had to be that. There is nothing left to try, although this forest gives me a strange feeling.” Look for his bow and the few arrows he had left.
"I'm going to use my bow to prove it to you." Ezer gets into position and points to the tree that's lit by the fire, the rock nodding in approval.
As he concentrates, Ezer revisits the images, memories, and sensations of the past. But this time in a more vivid way, so much so that it seems that the two men he murdered are behind him whispering and distorting his mother's words.
He releases the rope and it hits his hand, the arrow does not travel more than a few meters until it falls on the ground. Having missed and not showing a shred of magic, Ezer quickly turns around, ready to avoid any attack, only to find the boulder curling up again, shrinking in size.
“That's enough, wait until the sun.” Those were his last words before he stopped moving.
Ezer is dumbfounded rubbing his sore hand which has a visible red line. He decides to follow the words of the strange being, he seemed to have no bad intentions and if he did, he doubted that he could do anything to stop him.
The next morning, Ezer prepares to leave as the sun begins to illuminate the terrain. But the rock doesn't move until the sun hits it full, Ezer decides it's better to wait.
