The next day comes by after an uneventful night and Sophia just comes to do her regular checkup that morning with which she always kept an awkward face on. Based on just looks alone, Andrew seems like that neighbourhood child whom everyone couldn’t help loving and wanting to take care of. But on listening to him talk, her whole perception was overturned but that didn’t stop her from doing her work perfectly. She was shocked after performing the checkups as she notices that Andrew was recovering at a rapid rate. The likes of which were unheard or unseen, it almost seemed like he was in the regeneration realm albeit at a bit slower pace than the way they do heal from their injuries.

Even Andrew has been pondering about this issue of his quick recovery, but after thinking a little bit about the matter, he just shoves it to the back of his head. There was nothing he could do after all and he wasn’t that good at using his brain on anything else other than fighting, that was when his brain functions at a speed even beyond his understanding. But that quick thinking has helped him during dangerous situations and he understood that overthinking certain issues won’t do him any good.

That same morning, Olivia comes by to drop off his coins at the hospital with an ugly expression, after dropping them off, it seems like staying one bit around this boy nauseates her, hence she quickly got out of the room. What she drops off was notes, unlike his unusually heavy load of coins. Seems like they were able to understand that carrying coins all around would be too much of an attraction, hence there was provision for it to be exchanged into the currency being used by the kingdom. Although such money can only be used within the empire governing this kingdom, it was at least better than nothing. Andrew just stares at the stacks of note which was presented to him. He waited for Sophia to come by to explain things to him about the use of the currency, which although she seems reluctant at first, still explained it. It turns out that there was a bank in the kingdom in which coins can be turned into stacks of paper money for easy carrying and to prevent unwanted attraction. It can be used anywhere within the kingdom and the currency could not be replicated, hence the issue of fake or duplicated currencies arising was dissolved. There was also a bank which was positioned in every kingdom and even the capital, and Andrew could perhaps open up an account with that bank. No one knows the true owner of the bank and it has been ages since it was established.

Even the previous kings didn’t have any idea of how it came to be, or perhaps they knew but they guarded it as if it was a closed-off secret. And there was no one who dared to have a tussle with the power behind it.

If there was anyone crazy enough to try that, the next day, the person would most definitely die, even if it happens to be the child of royalty or the king himself. This happens to show the massive power behind it that the royal family couldn’t even dare to afford. It was the only bank of its kind in the whole world which has a branch spread out among each empire and even in the kingdoms which were subservient to them. Or at least that was the rumours she had heard about it, she wasn’t sure since she hasn’t been out of the kingdom to other kingdoms. But based on the way the bank carries itself, the rumours should be true to some extent. The name of the bank happens to be “Supreme World Bank”, with no one ready to question its legacy.

Andrew was shocked about such revelations and he seems to even believe such words. Did I forget to mention that Andrew was gullible? Well, he was and still is. He happens to believe every new thing he hears without any doubt. He would come to learn of the truth later on though in the far future.

He was truly in shock about what he has heard and started wondering how an ordinary bank would be so powerful that not even royalties could dare to stand up to them. It shows that they could do anything and get away with it. They would be the real overlords of this world then. If their being that powerful was true, then there was no way that the empires would sit by and watch something more powerful than them existing.

But seeing it still standing means that the empires have all failed in their attempts to bring it down or that the power behind it was even greater than what the empires could afford to offend.

Apart from their normal banking which they were involved in, they were also owners of other forms of business. They also had the ideology of sharing their eggs between other baskets although it was not needed for them, it still ensures that their business does indeed goes well to the level that they have various sources from which they earn their income at a very large rate.

They were the top dogs in the business known all over the world. Although many talks were not made between kingdoms, spies were still set in place so as to send urgent information which would dictate the state of affairs. That was how information about other branches of the banks came to be.

The other businesses they were involved in included, casinos, delivery services, transportation, etc. they were well renowned in all they did. Although they were famous and some of their members were involved in shady deals didn’t essentially mean they were involved, as they even tended to fish out members involved in such deals and have them executed. Otherwise just thinking that they could be paid for assassination and other dark shades of business would certainly set people on edge.

Although they were of supreme power, they didn’t get themselves involved in the empire’s squabble and thus public opinion was not against them. The headquarters of the bank was located in a place far off the reach of kingdoms and only empires were privy to some details regarding their location and it was a well-guarded secret. They were lots of secrets guarding this seemingly most used bank but there was nothing to be done since for ages they have been found trustworthy.

He thought about even joining under their ranks so that he would be able to have some sort of protection while getting more powerful. But he reckons that there was nothing like a free meal in this world, they would surely put a restraint of some kind on him. And the idea of being under someone else sounds somehow disturbing to him.

Although they might offer him some protection, they could also discard him at any moment's notice if they saw that they can no longer put a leash around him or even a moment’s mistake on his part like offending a relative of the higher-ups on his journey to the top.

His fate being decided in such a fashion seems disturbing no matter how one thought about it. He wanted to be rule over himself, not willing to take orders from anyone or try to lick the boots of others just to please them. He understood that it was good to know when to retreat and when to go forward but regretting any of his decisions or actions is something that would haunt him even in the afterlife and he wasn’t sure he would be reincarnated again and doesn’t intend to take such risks. Hence he plans to live his new given life to the fullest, any decision he takes should never be regretted even if he dies before getting to his goals.

“A life worth living is one free from regrets at all times. If you want something done, then get working on it without pause and with a conscience free from regrets. No matter where your decisions lead you, as long as they weren’t forced or imposed on you, they should never be regretted since you made it all with a clear mind”. That was his motto on getting into this world, even previously on earth, he has always followed that rule and started deviating due to matters of the heart which he ended up paying a great price for.

After scanning through the money and ensuring they were all complete, he just took something which seems to look like a hundred golden notes, after which he entrusted all the money to Marian, not because he fully trusts her but due to the fact that even if she runs away with it all, he would take it that there was no more connection between them and would from then on go his separate way.

Although not knowing the true meaning behind his deed of gifting her all the money to keep a watch on, she still felt delighted at that prospect and couldn’t help lighting up in joy. He asks about Eve since he hasn’t seen her for a while ever since that little episode of theirs, she couldn’t be blamed though as she was that hurt by the words Andrew said to her, although he didn’t mean for it to hurt her.

He asks Marian to try checking up on her for him, after all, she has taken care of him for a while, for which he felt profound gratitude and knowing that she was close friends with Marian also made him happy. He knew that Marian wasn’t that close with anyone except her mother and him, thus the reason why she was always clingy to him.

He wanted her to make more friends so that when the day comes for him to leave this kingdom to explore the greater world, he would leave her behind with a free mind and knowing that she had people to love and who would care for her. He just took this kingdom as a starting point for himself on his journey to greatness.

If he happens to die on the path to his dreams, that would be a bit of pity but if he ends up accomplishing his goals, he can bring this girl he acknowledges as his only family to the top where he would be residing. Well, that would depend on if time didn’t take its toll on her and she ended up dying from old age. He thought about discharging from the hospital that day since he couldn’t afford to pay for the medical bills. They were all so expensive that on just seeing the bills for a day, his mouth become as wide as saucers in astonishment. Just staying in this place for a month would cost him up to ten thousand gold coins. Although it didn’t even constitute ten percent of his general wealth, it was still a huge sum for him. If he continues spending money like that, it won’t be long before he becomes broke. But Sophia came forward to persuade him otherwise, as she told him that Olivia has already paid for all his bills staying in the hospital until he has recovered enough to be discharged.

He was shocked about the fact that Olivia has still decided to pay his bills although all the harsh words he has spoken to her. But he still smiles wryly thinking about how rich generals must be to be capable of paying such a huge amount of money without flinching. He just got rich and intends to marvel at his riches for a long while, during which he intends to stack more on his riches. Spending money in such a way seems crazy to him no matter how you look at it. But he accentuates the reason for her doing such to be because she has started taking a liking to him and he always praised himself as being extremely handsome and charming, so he quickly accepted that newfound ideology of his without much thinking.
