《The Journey to find the New Golden Emperor》CHAPTER 95 **Warm Words**

Both Talon and Matthew could only sigh and put their heads back in defeat to their idea of the most adorable girl in the world. Matthew could only then walk to Sahara, gently taking her hand in his. Then, he looked up at Steven and said, “I will then count on you, Steven!”
He couldn't deny that it was a good idea to have more protection for his Princess, so he had to hide his jealousy and be mature. He would regret it if something did happen to her, so having Steven there would make him feel better...
With one nod from Steven, Matthew then turned to his soon to be Princess, “My Princess...Come to me in red!”
Sahara absolutely blushed!
He, of course, meant the marriage and how she would be wearing red in color…
He smirked at Sahara, “Just like that, my dear!”
“Enough, no more! You both can wait until she arrives here in two days!” Talon spoke harshly, putting Sahara behind him, in which she peeked at Matthew from behind him. Talon couldn't help it anymore! He had to stop something, and since the Second Prince had even let this new, golden eyed man stay with Sahara, Talon could only keep his daughter away from the Second Prince, at least then, he had the marriage as decent reason so that they had to comply!
Matthew smiled and winked at Sahara.
“This Prince has finished!” Prince Seth said, breaking up the little gathering, reminding them all on what they were waiting for...
The Prince walked up to Sahara and breathed out, holding out his letter, “Please, please bring this note to my men…Young lady.”
Sahara took the note and nodded, “Sure!”
She put her spiritual essence into it and then took it out beyond Green Haven, and shot it out straight towards the direction of Purple Haven.
Sahara had gotten quite a lot of her spiritual essence back, even though she was practically depleted before, but she had not ranked up to the next level.
The note was no problem, as she thought that her distance could go beyond that of Purple Haven now, she just didn’t know how much beyond it that a little, green star would be able to go.
Actually, Sahara was finally running out of the green, little stars...Guess she could do that in her spare time back at the Rolland Estate...With no tv, shows and movies in this world it really is scary on how much time you had to dick around here on this planet!
Traveling the way that she had gone with the star much earlier, Sahara sees three people running in the vast, land area once again, exactly like last time, except without Prince Seth and the woman.
They still had the walls of Purple Haven behind them, so she doubted that they had run too fast or for that long.
It really did worry her though...If they'll survive...Sahara had to get them back to the 'His Highness' as fast as possible!
She put the note in front of them, having it hover in mid-air, so that they could see it. Sahara even opened it up, to show that there is writing inside, so that they wouldn’t have to be afraid.

Honestly though, she was sure that she could make it look haunted or something, but she didn't have the time to play around...She could almost feel Talon's oppressive aura surrounding her!
Sahara hardly ever saw him like this, and it made her want to get into mischief. But...She was busy! Right!
Upon seeing the note, floating in mid-air in front of them, all the Purple Haven men automatically stopped in fright and looked at it with wide eyes, wondering if it was safe or not.
To Sahara’s satisfaction, someone was smart and was able to know of their master’s handwriting and commented on it, they happily ran up to the note and took it, without any reservations.
They read the note out loud and they were all happy that their Master was safe and even in Green Haven. They really didn’t know how these events occurred, but that was there master’s writing, and they could not question it.
“Men, all we need to do is get to Green Haven, His Highness is there waiting for us!”
Sahara smiled and then let her spiritual essence disappear, so that she was now fully back in Matthew’s estate, instead of both, “They read your letter and were already on the move towards Green Haven.”
It really is quite lucky, they were only slightly out of direction and it was easy to put rocks into an arrow to show them the right way…If they had gone off in nearly any other direction…
“Then, it is time for us to go now?” Talon asked, trying to be polite, yet you could see that his mouth was twitching...
Honestly, Sahara knew how awesomely sweet hearted he was, and she wanted to laugh at him...But...
Yeah, he looked about ready to explode...She guessed that it was time for the innocent, sweet girl that he loved ever so much!
Sahara nodded, “Yes, Father…Oh, the normal way?”
Steven and Matthew laughed after they knew what she meant, and she sighed. Sahara wasn’t used to wasting time in a carriage…
“Second Prince.” Talon respectfully said, bowing, then he took her away, Steven following close behind with Naruto...
“Why is she leaving?” Prince Seth asked. He really would like to be informed often about his people, yet…The one that would give him this information…Was leaving…
“We are to be married in two days.” Matthew stated proudly.
Prince Seth was confused, “You are not married already?”
“…No, we are engaged.” Matthew sighed, even though they got engaged just a week ago, it still wasn’t quick enough. Having her here all this time had felt like they had already been married. Now that she was leaving, Matthew felt happy and excited…Yet he also felt the loss of her presence and impatience on seeing her again. Matthew could only sigh, he still wasn't used to feeling so much!
“Then…” Prince Seth had seen them…Kiss!
Matthew turned politely to Prince Seth and smiled, “Please understand Prince Seth, that we are in my estate and that our relationship has not travelled any further.”
Yet!
Prince Seth was still for a few seconds, then slowly nodded, “Ah…This Prince will…”

Smiling suddenly, Prince Seth looked at his own Princess, “This Prince is only envious. This is of course my Princess, Sarina, we have already been wed now for four years. I hope that we will be just as happy as you and your Princess will be!”
Princess Sarina looked hopeful at Prince Seth, and he smiled at her.
Matthew hoped as well, hoped that she would not venture into a path that doesn’t suit a Princess…Yet…After Matthew thought that, he thought of Sahara doing many things that she’s not supposed to be doing…
Sighing, Matthew already couldn’t wait to see her next in her wedding attire. He was sure that she would look absolutely beautiful in red…
“Your Highness…The golden eyed man…”
Matthew suddenly remembered the importance of this matter, “Tell this Prince while we go to the study. Forgive me, Prince Seth, this is an urgent matter.”
As they walked away, Prince Seth watched and found a maid slowly step up very respectfully, “Excuse this lowly one, Your Highness. We have a room for the Prince and Princess to rest in, would you like to go there now?”
Looking at Princess Sarina, the Prince held out his hand to her, watching her shyly take it, he smiled. “Yes, we are very much in the Second Prince’s debt.”
“Then follow this servant, I will take you so that you may rest.”
Now that they weren’t running, or starving, or thirsty…Prince Seth was able to remember the sweet gestures of his Princess and spent this particular time to say something that he had wanted to say to her for not months, but years.
“This Prince wants you!”
Princess Sarina was surprised…Very surprised!
They were by themselves in the room, the maid already gone, and they normally never slept in the same bed.
Before she could speak, thinking too much of what was happening, Prince Seth continued, “If you are unwilling, I will not force you. But I will tell you that this Prince is very fortunate to have been married to you and I’m sorry to have put you in any danger or in any way where you are hungry and thirsty. Please forgive this Prince!”
He had taken her hand and kissed it very gently. He meant every word, knowing of all the times that she had let him eat first and drink first. Knowing that she had followed him without complaint and spoken important words, when he wasn’t able to…She had stayed by his side, showing loyalty and devotion, how could any heart not soften?
Princess Sarina let out a sob, isn’t this what she wanted? Did she really need so much more? Even though Green Haven had absolutely dazzled her, having heard these words, she felt like a lot of worry had suddenly disappeared.
Having him say something she thought he would never say, she squeezed the hand that was on hers, then…Forgetting her dignity, she suddenly went into his arms, “This one has wanted you too! This one has waited so long…”
Sahara wouldn’t have found it surprising that the two finally got together, but Matthew would have been utterly surprised! The problem was, this woman felt like she had been fighting a losing war for four years. The prince having not touched her for much of this time, and she was still by his side…Yet, what he saw, was her just trying to do what she could, with what she had. But the sudden want from the prince was something that she had locked away in her heart, if he never knew, it would still be fine, right?
She started accepting and adapting to situations a lot quicker and then coming here, she thought that she would have a bigger chance at being happy…After all, she wasn't officially known as his Princess yet, as their marriage had been a secret. There was a chance that since they were friends, perhaps he would let her go...Which still hurt to think about, knowing that he may find another...
So, on this night, for both of them, was more of a final connection of their marriage, that they probably should have done ages ago! Not only was Princess Sarina finally becoming the official Princess, but she had heard words that made her heart grow the warmest it’s ever been!
Sahara would clap, very heartedly!
But…She wasn’t there…As she was like a prisoner!
***
As Sahara got into the Rolland Estate, she became what she would call ‘assaulted’ by her stupid grandfather. He was talking about how she should have come home earlier, but then, she was suddenly being talked to by the old madam of the place, whom had left her chambers and come all the way to the gates to welcome them, and then there was…Everyone else…
What the fuck…I hardly know these people!
It was so strange that all of them were there, congratulating her on her engagement and trying to get into her good graces...Especially a couple of girls her age, they looked at Sahara expectantly and she felt like what they expected was something that she'd rather not even think about...
But…Sahara smiled, as she did see someone…Her friend, well brother...He was in an ancient type of wheelchair and looking weak.
She really wanted to heal him!
Sahara didn’t hear anyone else and walked up to him, getting Naruto from Steven.
“Zeus.” She said, so happy to see him again.
He didn’t show his happiness though, making her sigh.
“Naruto.” Sahara said, pointing to Naruto, who licked her finger. Sahara saw a flicker of emotion go through his eyes, but he ended up looking away, showing a cold look once again. She did not expect that he had lost so much hope while she had been gone...Normally he grabbed whatever animal that she would bring to him, and she would sit there and pout because he had stolen it from her. But now...There was nothing...
“...Steven.” Sahara said finally, trying to keep her cool.
“Sahara?”
“This is Zeus, I’m going to heal him after I meditate, so you have to bring Naruto and watch him while I heal.” Sahara said stubbornly.

He has been your only friend for eleven years, initially partner in mischief and later your hunting companion and confidant. Now your friendship is being torn asunder, he has turned eighteen and is being sent away to become a Judge Knight Aspirant. What is to become of you? Before your friend leaves, there is murder and conspiracy! Magic left the land hundreds of years ago, all you have is your bow and hunting skills, nevertheless you must fight to survive and save another to have any hope of a future! Note: The graphic isn't mine; it is a re-imagining of a few separate images, any objections by original artists let me know. N.B. If you are looking for Sexual Content every chapter, or every second, third or fourth chapter this isn't the story for you - the Sexual Content is required for a plot device, not a way of life and the later chapters reflect that - please stop dropping Low Ratings when you feel I haven't met your idea of "fan service". This is finished as much as a multi book vision can be finished. At 750,000 words give or take and very little readership I can only blame myself. I have learnt a lot, possibly forgotten a lot as well! I will probably return to the Chapters at some point - a touch up here and a touch up there. The second book though will probably remain in my head for a very long time, so yes "cliffs" although I hope the characters and their motivations are developed enough that you can have a good guess at the content of Book Two and tell me so I can confirm or deny! This isn't a LITRPG where classes are developed, great foes are defeated by a hero of immense power. This is a story based within (I hope) a very real and consistent culture, that leaves breadcrumbs for the reader to work out what the heck is happening and why. This is a slow burn story as the MC is stumbling around discovering her new place and role. Author's Note (Apr 2021): I dropped the Fantasy Genre for the Mystery Genre, because while the setting mentions magic, is it about past glories and trying to return to them. Whereas the MC from Chapter One doesn't understand her predicament and the range of mysteries she must solve to survive. If I have this wrong PM me and I will change this back.

My Newest, and at the same time, Oldest novel. This is a Rewrite of my very first novel that I begun when I was just starting out. It follows the story of Mark Floyd, a broken man who once tried to do what he thought was right... only to be stabbed in the back and thrown away. Now, pulled into a conflict that spans time and space, Mark has a choice to make; Stand up once more, even if it means facing an unknowable future, or let the Embers of his heart die and sink back into darkness. ----------------------------------- “For gold is tried in the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of adversity”. Once part of a Special Ops team in the US Army, Mark Floyd thought he had seen the worst that Humanity had to offer. That was until his final mission, one that would leave him a broken and shattered man, betrayed by the Country he served, and abandoned by society as a whole. His dreams filled with nightmares of the ones he failed to protect, mind and memories clouded by booze and more, Mark finds himself stumbling through life without purpose or desire. Life isn't done with Mark yet, however. For as long as even a single ember remains in a persons heart, here is still yet hope for the flames of Passion and Hope to be Rekindled. When the dying embers of Mark's heart catches the eyes of a Being far beyond his understanding, Mark finds himself thrown into a situation not even his years of training could prepare him for. Will this new chance be Mark's hope at both Redemption and Recompense? Or will it simply be the final nail in the coffin for a man already dead to the World? [This is a rework of my very first story. The general story will remain the same, however a few details have been tweaked, the chapters have be Edited better and some chapters have been broken down into smaller chunks for better flow and consistency. The biggest change will be to the System itself; It will be a lot less "Game-like", meaning no stats, levels or similar aspect, though skills will still be present in the form of "Programs". Instead, It'll focus more on the Sigil's nature as super-computers and how they change the world around them. This should make for a much more "natural" and less info-dumpy system.
