Chapter 1260 Pharaoh Scepter!
“Hand over the treasures you robbed!”
When John Doe arrived, Rahman, the Egyptt guru, became green with envy.
Now that he had the Pharaoh Scepter, he only needed the Holy Fruit in John Doe’s hand!
What about those treasures snatched by the others?
Most of them were insignificant antiques.
Thus…
When John Doe rushed up with the carcass of the king cobra, Rahman directly turned around and waved the scepter fiercely at John Doe. Suddenly, a swarm of extremely fine and sharp energy Qi, like embroidery needles, shot out from the mouth of the cobra king mounted on the head of the scepter!
They flew toward Fang Qiu’s chest with unbelievably strong penetrating power.
“Oh, dear!”
Fang Qiu’s heart skipped a beat, for he felt a sense of crisis brought by this blast of refined energy Qi!
“Whoosh.”
With a violent wave of his hand, Fang Qiu pressed down on the carcass of the king cobra’s head to block the surprise attack.
“Pa!”
A crisp sound was heard.
There…
Surprisingly, this fine stream of energy Qi effortlessly penetrated the hard scales on the king cobra’s carcass.
Fortunately, Fang Qiu was hiding behind the snake.
The energy Qi penetrated the scales and finally dispersed into the flesh and bones of the giant snake and failed to go through its head.
Even so…
This scene shocked everyone present to the core.
That was the scales of the king cobra.
To break one scale, eight gurus had to combine their strengths and exuded a lot of effort!
But how could Rahman easily pierce the scales with just a scepter?
For a time…
Everyone looked at Rahman with a trace of vigilance, and their killing desire became even stronger!
This scepter…
It was absolutely worth much more than the Seven-storey Tower!
It could fire energy Qi at an astonishing speed, which was mighty enough to penetrate the king cobra’s scales. With this object as a weapon, killing a guru might no longer be a challenge!
“What a sharp burst of energy Qi.”
Fang Qiu poked his head from behind the giant snake and looked at Rahman solemnly.
“Hand over the Holy Fruit, otherwise don’t blame me for being merciless!”
Rahman said to Fang Qiu with a sneer.
“Your scepter is indeed powerful.”
Fang Qiu shrugged and said, “However, my shield is not small. Why don’t you smash my large shield before you threaten me with your weapon?”
When he heard this suggestion…
Rahman’s face darkened.
He knew the giant shield that John Doe referred to was the king cobra.
He flared up instantly.
It had never occurred to anyone that John Doe would carry the carcass of the king cobra with him. If it hadn’t been for its huge dead body, John Doe would never have had the guts to challenge him!
Just then…
“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.”
Immediately, the gurus from the four great countries, Luoyun and Francis flew back and came to Fang Qiu’s side, as they tried to block Rahman’s attack with the snake carcass.

However…
“Boom!”
Before they arrived, an overwhelming stream of Qi erupted from Fang Qiu, instantly knocking a few people back — Fang Qiu only allowed Luoyun and all the Huaxia people to come over.
“What?”
After pushing back the gurus of the four countries and Francis, Fang Qiu snorted coldly and said, “You’re afraid of his spear, so you want to seize my shield? He can break the scales of this snake, and so can I!”
The gurus of the four countries and Francis were startled.
Only then did they remember…
When they slaughtered this giant snake, it was John Doe who broke its scale first!
Rahman had to rely on the scepter to gain power, while John Doe depended merely on his own strength. Rahman was not a patch on John Doe.
They couldn’t afford to provoke Rahman, but Fang Qiu appeared even more dangerous!
For a period of time…
The gurus of the four great countries and Francis could only hurriedly retreat, their faces livid as they stared carefully at Rahman for fear that he would strike them at any time.
“That’s right.”
When the gurus stepped away, Fang Qiu smirked proudly and said, “It’s not good for us to remain in this stalemate. Rahman is from Egyptt, and we’re in an Egyptt relic. More importantly, he has the Pharaoh Scepter. An Egyptt guru who has obtained great power won’t let you leave this relic so easily.”
Over at the side…
The gurus of the four great countries and Francis looked increasingly gloomy.
They knew very well what Fang Qiu meant. Even if they handed over everything they got, Rahman would not let them leave the place alive.
At present, they shouldn’t focus on seizing treasures but on how to stay alive!
To survive…
They had to defeat Rahman!
Behind Fang Qiu…
With the giant snake’s body as a shield, everyone in the Huaxia team breathed a sigh of relief. Luoyun came to Fang Qiu with a broad smile and said, “Brother John Doe, you directed a good show!”
“Thanks. You flatter me.”
Fang Qiu grinned.
“But where did you get the idea to bring this snake that nearly turned into a flood dragon?”
Luoyun asked.
“No part goes to waste for this python.”
Fang Qiu wet his lips and spoke again, “But, let’s talk about it later. We should enjoy this wonderful play first!”
Over there…
Driven by the anxious feeling of the impending crisis…
The gurus of the four great countries and Francis had to join forces to besiege Rahman.
This time…
None of them dared to hold back any longer. They all exerted every ounce of their energy to fiercely attack Rahman from various tricky angles while constantly dodging his blows.
Although the scepter was mighty and fast, they managed to avoid its strikes while they launched an all-out effort.
After all, they were all gurus.
Here…
Fang Qiu and Luoyun hid behind the giant snake as they carefully observed their battle.

They paid attention to the same thing.
It was the scepter in Rahman’s hands!
An ordinary scepter could never unleash such fierce energy Qi!
Therefore…
There must be something special about this scepter.
Fang Qiu stared intently at the scepter for a moment.
Abruptly…
His eyes lit up.
Every time Rahman delivered an attack with the scepter, a circle of white light would appear around his hand which gripped the upper half of the scepter.
“That light, that aura of energy…seems a bit familiar.”
He observed it attentively.
Fang Qiu finally found the secret of the scepter.
The part that Rahman held in his hand seemed to be the one that provided energy to the scepter, and the aura of that object was the same as that of the jade mine!
With that in mind…
Fang Qiu couldn’t help becoming very tense.
At this time…
“Should we go ahead?”
Luoyun’s voice suddenly came.
Fang Qiu looked up.
There…
When the five gurus hurled themselves at him, Rahman was in a disadvantageous position. Yet, with the scepter, he posed a violent threat to the five. After exchanging a dozen moves in a short time, both sides suffered some minor injuries.
After all, he alone was fighting against five gurus.
Even with the Pharaoh Scepter in his hand, Rahman could not escape the dreadful fate of being suppressed.
“What a pity. Their fight would have been more splendid if that scepter could work without having to be recharged.”
Fang Qiu shook his head and sighed.
“If the scepter doesn’t need to replenish its power, it will be invincible, right?”
Luoyun smiled.
“That’s true.”
Fang Qiu nodded and said, “Let’s go. They are all wounded. Next is our show time.”
After that…
He exchanged a glance with Luoyun.
They flew up together.
The two of them rushed at Rahman at the same time. It seemed that they wanted to join forces with the other five gurus to deal with him. However, just as they approached Rahman, Luoyun suddenly turned around and wielded his long sword to slow down the attacking pace of the gurus from the four great countries and Francis.
Over at the other side…
Fang Qiu executed his best efforts and instantly rushed up to Rahman. After being suppressed for a long time, he was too preoccupied to react in time when Fang Qiu abruptly banged his fist on his hand that gripped the scepter.
“Boom!”
A stream of terrifying energy Qi burst forth that instantly sent Rahman flying.
Meanwhile…
A layer of white ash rose from the place where Rahman had gripped.
“Sure enough…”
Fang Qiu was pleasantly surprised in his heart.
The moment his punch landed, he was certain that what was embedded inside the Pharaoh Scepter was none other than the mysterious jade stone!
He had guessed as much.
That was why Fang Qiu exerted all his strength and smashed the mysterious jade into powder with one blow. After all, he didn’t want the others to see this kind of jade!
Luoyun saw Fang Qiu blow Rahman up into the air.
At once, he flashed over and stood back to back with Fang Qiu.
“Seize the scepter!”
Luoyun reminded him.
“No need.”
Fang Qiu shook his head and said, “The scepter is useless now.”
His voice faded.
After being knocked away by a punch, Rahman quickly stood up and glanced around with a pained expression. He held the scepter and yelled in a sad and shrill voice, “You and your family members will all be cursed by the Pharaoh and die a violent death sooner or later.”
“Crack!”
When he was done speaking…
In a flash, many cracks spread around the scepter that was raised high above his head and covered it like a spider web. Then, it broke into pieces and dropped to the ground.
Meanwhile…
Rahman closed his eyes and fell back powerlessly. He fell heavily on the ground and fainted!
Just then…
“Whiz!”
Suddenly, an ear-piercing sound broke out.
From the site where Rahman had collapsed to the ground, a bullet wrapped in a bout of extremely compressed energy exploded from the ground and instantly reached Fang Qiu, and headed for the place between Fang Qiu’s eyebrows.
“Watch out!”
Luoyun shouted.
There…
An energy shield suddenly appeared in front of Fang Qiu. Although it was too thin to block the bullet, it bought a tenth of a second for Fang Qiu.
Within such a short time, Fang Qiu tilted his head and narrowly dodged the bullet.
“Pa, pa, pa…”
Three shots rang out in a row.
But…
Obviously, the bullets that were fired later were not as powerful as the first one. When Fang Qiu waved his right hand to slash these bullets, he quickly formed a long sword in his hand. The moment it took shape, a burst of extremely vigorous sword Qi exploded from the sharp blade that instantly reduced the three bullets into powder!
As soon as he finished slashing the three bullets, Fang Qiu moved.
He zipped over to the back of a dark rock near Rahman, who had fallen to the ground.
“Whiz!”
There was a crisp sound.
The Divine Sword pierced through the chest of Mousolini, who had been hiding behind the rock, and nailed him up on the rock. It even ran through the gun Mousolini held horizontally with his hands to fend off the long sword!
This scene was quite astounding.
All the people present shivered in fear!

Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
