The palace had been decorated with yellow bright lights as it was glowing with happiness. The ceremony of Huang Dewei's concubine had taken place. In his heavy dress, he was extremely tired yet he was looking very beautiful and delicate. They had signed the contract as proof that Huang Dewei was Wang Lei's concubine now while the dance celebrations were going now right now. Everyone was present from the palace as well as important people from the other dynasties.

Wang Lei looked towards Huang Dewei who was looking at the dance performance with no expression. He knew he was still angry with him. He sighed and looked away. For the next hour, the dance performance was completed and everyone ate the food.

Emperors and highly influenced people from other dynasties were surprised that Wang Lei took in a male concubine but after seeing Huang Dewei's beauty they knew why he did it. Huang Dewei was an extremely pretty-looking man. They all would like to keep him as a sex toy, but now he was taken. After everyone ate the dinner, usually the end of the ceremony, however. Huang Dewei's ceremony have one important thing to do which was to receive an apology from Xin Ying, Chen Ju, and An Cong for cutting his hair. They all stood in front of him and bowed down as they apologised. Chen Ju especially hates it but it was Emperor's order hence she can't go against it. Everyone has heard the story behind this ceremony but they still were surprised that Wang Lei actually let his wife and other rich statue concubines apologise to some low-level slave who had become his concubine... However, no one said a word.

Late in the night, once the ceremony was completed, everyone was put into guestrooms to rest and provided with everything they could need while Huang Dewei was sent to his new huge residence which was luxurious and expensive. It was a beautiful residence with a bedroom, a long corridor, a small garden and a pond at the back and guest rooms where he can let his parents or relatives stay when they would come to meet him.

Xin Ying, Chen Ju and An Cong, all have their own residence just like him and which were right next to each other within some walking distance between them. Wang Lei's residence and office chamber were a little far on the other side but still within walking distance. This was the area for Emperor's wife and concubines to stay. It had everything anything desired. Huang Dewei's parents were so much happy over this ceremony than Huang Dewei himself. They kept telling him to get maids and servants for himself but he was against it hence they let go of the topic. They also wanted to stay here to enjoy this new luxurious life, but Huang Dewei made them go back with the promise that they can come back to meet him soon.

Even though Qianfan agreed with Huang Dewei's condition that they will go back home, he did not want to. What difference does that make to them that their son was now Emperor's concubine so when Wang Lei came to say goodbye to them, they decided they should get something before they will go away there.

'Your highness, if you don't mind we have a request?' Qianfan said as he bowed down to him

'Yes, you can make your request.'

'You know we come from a low-status level and we are struggling with money. If possible can you provide us with the money? Our house is old and is slowly falling apart for a long time...we need money to renew it...it is Huang Dewei's favourite place since he spends his childhood there...we would be grateful if you give us money.' Qianfan said as he emotionally blackmail by telling him about this house being Huang Dewei's favourite place while Wang Lei nodded his head then he looked towards Cheng and ordered him to get money and give them. Cheng nodded his head and walked out

'Your highness, thank you very much...we are very thankful to you.' Qianfan said as they all bowed down gratefully.

'Just don't let Huang Dewei know about it.' Wang Lei ordered them as he knew Huang Dewei would be very hurt if he found out his father took money from him. Qianfan looked towards him and they all nodded when Cheng came back and gave him the money. Wang Lei said goodbye to them and walked out.

Meanwhile, Huang Dewei entered his room with heavy clothing and a diamond pin shining on his clothes. He looked around his room and it was a very beautiful, luxurious, and expensive room. There was a huge window at the side which had curtains but they were open as moonlight was coming inside his room and filling it with its shine. The bed was right across the window, carpet on the floor, the huge space at the side filled with clothes as well where you can even change your clothes after taking your shower...it was right next to the bathroom. All the clothes were already provided to him which all look expensive. The empty book ranked at the side for him to fill it in with books of his choice, a sitting space on the other corner and a mirror on the wall.

That room was something Huang Dewei would never have thought of dreaming of having in his life yet he was not happy at all. Anyway would love to have this life...this was every poor person's fantasy and he was unhappy because all he wanted to have was him which he can never...even now he still would fully never have all of Wang Lei for himself. He slowly walked as he stopped in front of the mirror and he was looking very beautiful but what's the point? Everyone says he had seduced Wang Lei while he only knew his beauty was useless in front of Wang Lei. He sighed when the door was his chamber opened and Wang Lei entered inside. He turned over towards him as they stares at each other. Wang Lei walked inside while closing the door behind him.

Huang Dewei had no idea how beautiful he was looking, but Wang Lei was equally looking elegant and breathtaking. He softly smile at him which made him look even more beautiful as he walked toward him. Huang Dewei's heart skipped a beat because tonight was like their wedding night. The first night after Emperor's wedding or concubine ceremony is like a wedding night for Emperor and his other half to build a connection. Huang Dewei somehow felt nervous.

'How are you feeling? Are you tired?' Wang Lei asked softly as he looked at him with love. Huang Dewei looked toward him with an expressionless face as he hides away his nervousness and then moved and untied his dress. Wang Lei was surprised and confused about why he was suddenly taking off his clothes instead of replying to him after untieing his dress-like robe exposing his front, he looked up towards him

'Do the thing you came to do and then go away from here...I don't want to see your face for the whole night.' Huang Dewei said expressionless and Wang Lei got it that he was hitting at sex. Wang Lei was hurt by his words again as he sighed and walked toward him

'Weiwei, you are such a harsh ruthless man.' Wang Lei said as he moved and tie back down his robe. Huang Dewei just stares at him who turned over and then he called out to someone.

'Come in...' On Wang Lei's call, the door opened and a young man with canvas and paint walked inside. Huang Dewei was all confused when he came and stopped in the middle.

'Set up your things.' Wang Lei ordered him and he nodded his head as he started doing his work when Wang Lei turned over towards him

'He came to draw our picture together. Come and let's sit down. If you are too tired we can cancel it and call him some other day. That's why I was asking if you were tired. ' Wang Lei explained and Huang Dewei was surprised. He was jealous when he saw his and Xin Ying's painting, but he never thought he will get to do something like this...It was such a coincidence. Huang Dewei thought without realising that he had already told Wang Lei about this desire in his drunken state and Wang Lei was only doing it since he knew Huang Dewei wanted it. When Huang Dewei said nothing in response, he got hold of his hand and walked towards the sitting area and made him sit down on the comfortable sofa. He sat down beside him and put his arms around his wrist as he moved him closer and then he signal the young man to start the painting.

They both sat still while posing for the young man who did his work without a word. Huang Dewei was feeling exhausted as hours passed but he tried his best to keep himself awake. It took the man three hours to complete the sketch of them while they both were also worn out.

'Your highness, I am done.' The young man said and Wang Lei stood up and walked towards him as he looked at the painting. Wang Lei was pleasant and satisfied with the painting.

'Good job...very beautiful. You are a talented young man.' Wang Lei said he praised the young man.

'Thank you, your highness.' The young man replied he bowed down gratefully. He was very happy with the compliment

'Come, Weiwei, look at the painting and if you don't like it then we can make a new one.' Wang Lei called out to him and Huang Dewei got up and looked at the painting. It was indeed a very beautiful painting

'You are indeed talented. That is beautiful.' Huang Dewei said and that young man bowed to him as well. Huang Dewei felt weird that he bowed down to him, but servants and low statue people also bowed down to the concubines of the Emperor. The people will bow down to him as well and he has to get used to this new life.

'I will take it back home and will send it back in a few days after colouring it in, if that is fine with you, your highness.' The young man said and Wang Lei nodded his head

'Yes, that is fine, Your fee for your hard work is given to Cheng so make sure you take it from him.' Wang Lei said and that young man nodded his head then while smiling he bowed down and walked out with his things. They both were left in complete silence.

'You should rest now...I will be going back to my chamber.' Wang Lei said as he break the silence between them and Huang Dewei looked up at him but said nothing. Wang Lei turned over to walk away but then he stopped and turned back over towards him. He moved and softly got hold of his face in his hands.

'It is your misunderstanding...You are not here for me to get my revenge. You are here because I wanted you to be here with me...I want your support, trust and care not just your body. My words are my only witness to my sincerity which I hope you will trust one day ... I have no other way of telling you that everything you are thinking is a lie and just your doubt...If I could open my heart and show that I have no intention of revenge regarding you, I would have, but I can't. Hence, I just hope you will trust me one day and will become Huang Dewei who I know and who trusts me equally as much as I trust him...I hope you will let me touch you with your permission because I am not interested in forcing myself on you...sweet dreams and good night Weiwei.' Wang Lei slowly said all the words he wanted to say in a hope of gaining back Huang Dewei's trust then moved and kissed him softly on his cheek. Huang Dewei's heart skipped a beat while Wang Lei turned over and walked out leaving him deep in his thoughts. His words seem sincere and he wanted to believe but then he doesn't understand why he wanted him if he knew he was his wife's ex-lover. Does he have no feelings for Xin Ying then why did he sleep with her? He was so confused and all his thoughts were all over the place in his head.

He sighed then changed his clothes and get inside the bed, but he could not sleep much due to the fact it was a new place and somehow he was missing Wang Lei's presence next to him. Even though he was extremely tired, he spend half of his night turning and tossing in his bed, but late at the night he finally manages to fall asleep to get some rest.
