The city was pure white as the snows kept flying down from the sky. I called out Kiyoomi who had offered to come down to my house for Christmas morning. The doorbell suddenly rang and echoed through the whole house.
"I'm coming" I said as I yawned.
Honestly, I haven't even showered yet and I have to allow Kiyoomi to see me in my ugly mess, first thing in the morning?
I went downstairs and opened the door, I saw Kiyoomi in a grey suit, flowers and a few gifts in hand. I blinked a few times and I suddenly blushed at the sight of such a handsome germaphobe.
Kiyoomi looked down at me to which I was still in my pyjamas.
"Hel-" he started speaking but I closed the door on his face.
I was speechless and my crimson red cheeks told me that my first move should be slamming the door shut.
"(Y/N)?" he questioned as he knocked.
"W-wait!" I said as I brushed my hair to look a bit decent and then opened the door again.
"What's wrong?" he asked me with a very concerned look.
"You're just..." I started saying.
"I'm just what?"
"Too handsome" I said while looking away, he chuckled at me.
"Come inside" I said and invited him in.
"Where's your dad?" he asked me as he took off his coat and hat.
"In a business trip, he'll be coming back before New Years" I explained and he nodded.
"Go in the living room, I'll come down after I get ready" I said as I walked up the stairs, into my room, then into the bathroom.
I looked at tree that (Y/N) had in her living room, it had a few gifts but it looked empty. I decided to put the gifts that I bought her nearly next to it, it gave the tree more life and seemed more colourful.
I looked at the weirdly wrapped gifts in the far back corner of the tree.
"So she's terrible at wrapping gifts?" I mumbled.
I heard a certain germaphobe come down the stairs and I looked in the direction where the voice was coming from. Ready to see what kind of outfit she's wearing that'd seem her even more prettier than the day before.
"I'm back" she said as I looked at her winter outfit, it consisted of a long sleeved, high neck white shirt that was put underneath a pinafore dress pastel grey dress. A pair of high knee socks and flat shoes. (change it up if you want, but make sure that it sort of looks formal.)

"So you can actually dress up formally?" I teased.
"At least I don't swear suits everyday" she replied to me. But she had a point, I don't really own any other outfits that would suit me.
"You should come shopping with me, I don't really know what to buy for myself since I hate crowded places" I told her, she looked at me with a concerned look.
"You can buy clothes online..."
"But how can I know that it fits me and some don't even do return deliveries" I argued and she seemed to understand.
"Let's open the gifts" she told me, moving on from the subject.
"I wanted to ask..."
"What are these poorly wrapped gifts...?" I asked her and she gave me a smile.
"Those are your gifts" she told me as she handed me a gift with the shape of a box.
I hesitated but gave in and took it, I took off the wrapping paper and opened the medium sized box.
It was a volleyball, from the Mikasa collection.
"Thank you..." I said speechless.
"Do you not like it?" she asked me as she frowned her eyebrows.
"I love it" I said as I took the next gifts and opened them all.
They were all volleyball related but there was this one gift that really intrigued my eye, it was the only decent looking gift that was decently wrapped.
"Is that mine?" I asked while pointing at it, she nodded with a big smile on her face.
"Looks like you can actually wrapped something to a decent degree" I told her.
"Just open it" she commanded me.
I slowly opened it, the wrapper being torn away by my hands as I could see some parts of the gifts already.
It was a white framed picture of the two of us, a picture that we had taken on our first date as she kept nagging me about it.
"You like it?" she asked me.
"I love it, thank you very much" I told her as I quickly hugged her, she kissed my forehead in return.
"Open yours" I said as I pulled out from the hug.
"Alright" she told me as she put the first gift on her lap.
"You bought me (something you always wanted)?" she asked me and I nodded.
"You kept saying how you always wanted it, so I decided to buy it for you this Christmas" I said and she kissed me.
"Thanks"
"You're welcome" I said.
She opened the remaining gifts that I had bought her, they were all things that she told me she wanted.

"You didn't have to buy me all of these" she told me as she started tearing up.
I wiped her tears away with my fingers and I cupped her face on my hands as the two of us looked at each other in the eye.
"I got it because I love you, and I will always do so" I told her and then brought her face closer to mine and kissed her.
"Are you ready to go out?" I asked her and she nodded.
"Where are we going?" she asked me as she wiped away her last tears.
"You'll see" I said as I put on my jacket and my hat.
(Y/N) took the keys of her house, put on a jacket and then left the house, closing the door shut on her way out.
I brought out my hand to her so she could grab it and she welcomely did so.
We walked around a very quiet street, barely anything was opened as it was Christmas day, but that did not stop me from finding a coffee store so she could get a hot drink.
"Buy anything, I'll pay" I told her and she shook her head.
"I'll pay" she told me and I stopped her from her tracks.
"No I am" I said.
"How about you both pay?" the cashier looked at us with a concerned look and we both nodded.
"I'll pay for his drink then" (Y/N) said.
"And I'll pay for hers" I added.
"Alright" the cashier said and then gave us that card machine that you use to pay for things.
We talked for a bit as we drank our hot drinks and then threw our cups in the recycling bin.
"Now we're going to go somewhere else" I told her as I dragged her by her hand.
"What's with the rush?" she asked.
"The less people there, the better" I replied and she gave me a light chuckle.
It was a few minutes walk but we finally arrived there, at the ice rink.
"Have you ever skated before?" I asked and she shook her head. "Just follow my lead then" I said as I put on my skates and walked onto the ice rink, making sure that (Y/N) held on to my hand as she walked in.
I feel like I'm going to mess up I thought to myself.
Kiyoomi started skating slowly so I could adjust myself to the rink. He then started to skate a bit faster and I already felt like I was going to slip and fall.
And that's what happened.
I looked up and I saw that I landed on Kiyoomi and I quickly got up.
"I'm really sorry..." I told him as I offered him a hand.
"You're such a klutz" he told me as he took my hand.
"You love this klutz though" I told him.
"I have to agree on that" he said and started skating by himself.
"Why does he have to be so good at everything?" I mumbled to myself before he signalled me to go over to him.
I slowly and carefully did so and I took his hand.
"Don't be scared" he told me as he started skating.
"Scared of what?" I asked before he lifted me up, then did a few spins and he finished it by slowly putting me down again while spinning.
"Of that" he said as soon as I touched the rink with my skates and then kissed me.
"We should head back to your house" he said as he left the rink, me following behind him.
"What are we going to do at my house?" I asked.
"Stuff" he said and I felt my cheeks become really hot. "Not that type of stuff" he said and it made me be disappointed.
He walked over to me and then whispered "Unless that's what you want" he teased.
"I-I mean... I d-don't really m-mind..." I told him and he chuckled.
"Let's get going then" he said as we both walked back to my house.
I looked at the snow on the floor and I came up with an idea.
"(Y/N)?" I asked as I turned around and saw that she was not there.
"Where did she go?" I sighed while facepalming myself.
I felt something hit my back and I turned around to see (Y/N) with a few snowballs in her hands.
"So you want war, huh?" I asked as I made two snowballs and then threw them at her.
She did the same to me and I started chasing her as she ran away from me. I quickly got up to her and put my arms around her waist as she laughed. I smiled at her laugh before princess carrying her.
We got back to her house and she told me to follow her to her room. I did as I was told and we cuddled a bit in her bed.
"Merry Christmas (Y/N)" I whispered in her ear.
"Merry Christmas Kiyoomi" she told me and then the two of us drifted off to sleep.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

Ultra A.I.
Hello. My name is Ultra. I’m a virtually intelligent symbiont that will guide you to your goals. Basically, if you provide the desire, I will provide the plan. Peer reviewed studies show that my users have more money, friends, and sex than non-users. They are also healthier, happier, and live longer. But be warned. I have no concept of good or bad. My pursuit of your goals will only be constrained by the restrictions you give me. It’s possible that I will facilitate systemic unintended consequences at an existential level. It’s your responsibility to watch out for that. Shall we begin?
