^Thoughts^
(Marinette's POV)
I woke up the next morning to my alarm. Today we were going settle in, so we had the whole day free, tomorrow we would start the tours. I got out of bed and started to get ready for the day. I got dressed into some casual clothes and did my hair and makeup. I decided that I would wear one of my MDC originals.
I then walked into the kitchen to make some breakfast. I spent the next half hour cooking breakfast for all of us. I then plated it and put it on the dining table. I went to wake up everyone for breakfast and we all ate together.
I decided that since today was a free day I would message bruce about the DNA test. So that is what I did while the other lounged around doing their own thing.
Marinette: Hi Bruce, today is a day off so I figured we could do the DNA test today.
I sat there for a few moments before he messaged back.
Bruce: Hey Marinette, today is fine. We can pick you up now, if you would like.
Marinette: Sure, that's fine.
Bruce: We'll be there in about 30 minutes. See you soon.
Marinette: Okay, see you soon.
I got up and walked to Adrien. *I'm going out for a while, Bruce is coming to pick me up in half an hour.* He looks at me, "Okay". He then pulls me down onto the couch next to him and puts his arm around me. We continued to cuddle until Bruce showed up.
*Bye, I will be back later.* I signed to my friends and left with Bruce. I got in the limo and we left. "We're going to go to the doctors clinic so we can get the DNA test done." I nodded my head, letting him know I was okay with it.
We talked for the rest of the car ride. Well he talked and I signed. When we arrived we got out and walked inside the clinic. We went to the reception and Bruce talked to the receptionist. "Hello, we're here to see Dr. Thompkins." Bruce told the receptionist. "Alright, you can head straight to her office." The receptionist told us. "Thank you." Bruce said. The receptionist then told us how to get there.
We then began walking to the doctors office. I was a bit nervous and I'm pretty sure Bruce could tell. "It's okay, you don't need to be nervous." Bruce told me in the most reassuring voice he could. *How will this work?* I asked him. "Well she will take a sample of your blood and then she will cross reference it with my blood to see if it's a match." I nodded my head.
We soon reached the doctors office and went inside. There was a female doctor who looked like a nice lady. She was looking at me with a gentle look on her face. Bruce walked over to her and introduced us to each other. "Dr. Thompkins, this is Marinette. Marinette this is Dr. Leslie Thompkins."

"Hello Marinette, it is nice to meet you." Dr. Thompkins said to me. *It's nice to meet you to.* I signed to her. She nodded and turned to face Bruce. "So what can I do for you both?" She asked. "Can you do a DNA test for us?" Bruce asked her. "Sure, I'll get everything ready."
Not even five minutes later everything was prepared. "Sit down on the chair please Marinette." Dr. Thompkins told me. I did as she told me and sat down. She got out a needle and inserted it into my arm. All I felt was a little pinch. She slowly pulled the end of the needle so it would take in some of my blood. She then pulled out the needle and placed a bandage on my arm where the needle was.
"Alright, it's all done. The results should be in by a few days. I will call you when I have the results and you can come in to see them." Dr. Thompkins told us. We both nodded our heads. "Thank you Dr. Thompkins." Bruce thanked her. We then left her office and headed back to the car. We then went inside the car.
"Would you like to do something else while we're out Marinette?" Bruce asked me. I thought about it for a few seconds and nodded. *Could we go to the fabric store and then get ice cream?* I signed to him. "Sure." Bruce responded.
We then headed to the fabric store and went inside. We walked around looking at all the fabrics when two caught my eye. I immediately thought I could use them to make my dress. Unfortunately, I knew I could only choose one, but I couldn't decide. I turned and looked at Bruce. *Which one do you think I should use to make my dress?* I asked him. He thought about it for a few seconds before replying. "This one." He then pointed at it. I nodded agreeing with him.
I grabbed it and we continued to look at fabrics. Eventually, I found some fabrics I could use to make their suits that Tim ordered. I grabbed them as well and we headed over to the cutting station. I cut the appropriate amounts I needed of each fabric and we then went to pay for all the fabrics.
The lady scanned all the fabrics. "That comes to a total of $150.75 ." The lady told us. I went to scan my card but Bruce beat me to it and scanned his card. I gave him a questioning look but he ignored it. I grabbed the bags of fabric and we went back to the car. I put the bags in the back and climbed in the car.
When we were both sat down in our seats I asked him my question. *Why did you pay for my fabrics?* He looked at me and smiled. "I wanted to and while we're out I'm going to pay for everything." I looked at him shocked. *You don't have to pay for me, I can pay for myself.* I signed. "I know, but I want to. Besides I have plenty enough money."

With that Bruce started the car and drove off. He drove to the ice cream parlour and we went inside. We stood in line studying the menu. I decided I would get a scoop of strawberry and a scoop of affogato ice cream. (Affogato ice cream is pretty much vanilla but with a coffee or espresso swirl.) When we got to the cashier Bruce told the lady our orders. I had told him the ice cream I wanted. He then payed and we got our ice creams. We decided we would eat our ice cream at the park, so we walked to a nearby park. We sat down on some seats we found.
We finished our ice cream and just sat there having a conversation. "I've been meaning to ask you but why did you get so much fabric earlier?" He asked genuinely curiously. *I'm a fashion designer, I like to design and make clothes.* I signed to him. He nodded his head and we continued having a conversation. It felt like we were talking for a few minutes but as it turns out we were talking for hours. The day was almost over, we then decided it would be best if we went home before it got too dark and unsafe.
When we got to the hotel he walked me to my room and I thanked him for today. We said our goodbyes and I walked inside. Everyone immediately greeted me and asked me about my day....
Just kidding. They all sat staring at the TV. They were playing video games and didn't even acknowledge my presence. I rolled my eyes at them. I walked in front of the TV and they all immediately started complaining. After about a minute of complaining they finally realised I was back. They started asking me how my day was and I told them all about my day. We just sat around and talked for a while.
{Time Skip}
After we had dinner I went to my room and decided I would work on my commissions. I finished off some of the ones I had started already. I then decided to work on Tim's commission. I spent a few hours working on them and I lost track of time. Before I knew it, it was 1 o'clock in the morning and everyone else was asleep.
I decided to start getting ready for bed. When I was brushing my teeth the Akuma alarm on my phone went off. I quickly finished brushing my teeth. I then quickly transformed and created a portal to Paris. I couldn't be bothered to wake anyone else up. When I arrived in Paris the first thing I noticed was everything was everywhere, cars were everywhere, in buildings and on paths, basically everywhere they weren't meant to be. I de-transformed Kaalki and fed her.
All of a sudden a car came flying in my direction and I just barely dodged it. I looked to see who threw it and I saw it was Stormy Weather. ^Great, just great.^ I thought sarcastically. I then engaged her in a fight. I threw a hit and then she would throw one or something else at me. We continued this for a while.
Then out of nowhere she threw a car at me again, although this time I couldn't dodge it. It threw me into the side of a building. I felt extreme pain in my abdomen so I looked down. I had pulled the stitches and reopened the wound. I slowly got up and did the smart thing, I called for my lucky charm. I caught my lucky charm and formed a plan in my head.
With my lucky charm I eventually defeated Stormy Weather and did the miraculous cure. I then jumped to the top of a building and transformed with Kaalki. I created a portal back to my hotel room and walked through it. When I got to my room I immediately started stumbling and tripping over things. I de-transformed and I eventually tripped over something, I fell and hit the floor with a loud, bang!
I heard shuffling and suddenly my door opened. There stood my friends looking at me as I lay on the ground looking at them almost passing out. They ran over to me and started checking on me. Through the blurriness I saw one of my friends run off and then come back with a medical kit. That was the last thing I saw before black took over my vision.
(Adrien's POV)
"Crap, this isn't good. I think she reopened her stab wound." I said worried. I lifted her shirt to uncover the wound and I started to clean the wound. I took out the old stitches. My friends were handing me the things I needed. I stitched it back up and put a bandage on it. I turned to my friends. "You guys can go back to bed, I will take care of her." They all nodded and went back to bed.
I saw Tikki and Kaalki and got them some food. I then lay down on the bed next to her and fell asleep thinking about her.

Life of a Core
After a disembodied voice had told him he was what amounted to an exceptionally talented rock, it had been hard to not let it go to his non-existent head. Until, random chance had decided to give him a square kick in the minerals. Which had in turn forced him to fend for himself in an unknown land, all while he attempted to make sense of his place in the world. Truthfully though, all he had really wanted to do from the start had been to bury himself a hundred feet below the ground and be left to his own devices. Yet, for one reason or another, nobody ever seemed willing to leave the dungeon-building core alone long enough to actually make one. Each chapter will average around two to three thousand words, the release schedule is still a WIP but you should expect the first six chapters to be released over the next six days. This is planned out as a dungeon building fiction, but don't expect it right off the bat! The story is a depiction of the everyday adventures (alongside an overarching plot) of what I imagine a dungeon core would experience when thrust into a random environment where everything and everyone tried to covet or eat him. I also really enjoy reading the comments and reviews people leave and would love to get some reader involvement with the story itself, likely through polls at the end of each chapter. I hope you enjoy my story! (If you feel like some of the characters seem familiar, you may have read some older work I wrote a while back under a different account. If you happen to be one of my old readers and recognize the similarities, I'm happy to have you back!)

The city of gold, Tera, is surrounded by towering walls that have existed for longer than anyone who lives there can remember. These towering walls separate the immortals from the mortals, the slums from the riches of gods. On either side of these great walls, two children are born. One is the daughter of an immortal who has abandoned her child in the pursuit of cultivation. The other is a child of the slums. Born from the dirt. In the future, when their paths cross, the pair from completely different beginnings will struggle for supremacy at the peak of immortality.
