I am not all that pleased with how Part 3 turned out. In hindsight, Part 4 could have started at the end of Part 2. In the future I might do away with Part 3 altogether (i.e. delete the chapters), but I would finish Part 4 before I made that kind of major change.

I had plans for the children when I finished Part 2, but it became clear to me early on in Part 3 (almost immediately) that it had been a mistake to have them survive. I think the children should have remained mindless blobs. More like a pet than a child-like character.

Part 4 will be more involved than the previous sections. Right now I am working on the outline. For the previous sections I simply "had an idea" of what I wanted to do, but I did not prepare an outline. This means that it will be a little bit before I can start churning out new chapters.

In the meantime I have started writing a second fiction, a small comedy, so that my WRITING PROWESS does not rust while I work out the specifics of Part 4. Very different kind of story. You can read that here:
