《Judah Judas Adventures》Chapter 28 - The movement of enemies

Fiona runs to that village that is on fire, and I follow her, but being at a considerable distance from Fiona. Fiona and I are approaching that village, but when we were about to prepare for the attack, we noticed some scared villagers coming towards us. One of those villagers, who was burned on the skin, was about to escape, but an arrow that came from one of those attackers was stuck right in the poor man's neck. Other villagers were also hit by arrows from quite a distance. Some had arrows stuck in their backs, others had them in their heads, and I even noticed one that had almost ten arrows stuck in its back, but it was hard to get out of that hell that erupts in their home village... Fiona and I looked helplessly at those poor wounded villagers who cried out to heaven for mercy and mercy from those cursed arrows or the cuts from enemies blades they had suffered in the village.
We notice some arrows coming towards us in the sky, so we take shelter. We hide behind a huge boulder and wait for the right moment to attack or when the archers will have to load their bows. Fiona looked at me and says.
"Remember the plan. You offer me support, and I will knock every enemy out there."
"I understand!" I say to Fiona preparing my wand to launch a spell that will most probably be useful in this battle.
We notice that the arrows start not coming, and Fiona has her giant sword in its scabbard, holds it with both hands, makes a warrior cry, and runs to that village in flames. I'm preparing my wand with the "T.N.T." spell. and I follow Fiona to that village. As we ran, I noticed a warrior or two coming toward us with shields, spears, and even swords the size of Fiona, which began to seem normal for a male warrior to carry such a sword, but for a female. The warrior ... That's completely different. I pray! Those warriors are advancing on us, casting a T.N.T spell. on one with a shield and I can't fly it completely, just the shield. That warrior was surprised when he saw his shield flown so that he let his guard down, and in the next second he was cut into two horizontal pieces by Fiona's sword.
Another enemy warrior appears, who was not only equipped with a sword, but with the help of my spell called "T.N.T", I fly that metric a few meters back. The flying warrior lands in a haystack that have been there better than yesterday because the hay was still fresh. In a few seconds, that individual was ready to rise, but Fiona reaches in front of that individual and cuts in two that helmeted head, which is useless in front of such a sword that the knight named Fiona Lunderberg holds.

Other warriors approach Fiona, at which she destroys all the three swords that those knights had with a single blow. When Fiona destroyed the swords, she used her sword to apply a deadly cut, one that cut all three of them, all with armour, into two pieces each. The bodies of the three knights fell to the ground, two of them screaming in the sky, but the other showed no sign of life.
I arrived at Fiona, and she looks at me.
"Great shots. Now we have to go to the village. You try to rescue some people while I am there and try to kill every enemy is in my way."
After she said that, I observed Fiona left hand turning into the one of a vewolf. The whole arm grows green fur, with black and white circles and werewolf claws. After I saw that, Fiona gave me a look that means: "Everything will be alright.". Fiona runs into the village, and I also run in the other direction of the village in the fire, just to help some innocent people if they are injured or are attacked by some filthy warriors.
I enter the village, I go to the first house I see on fire, and there I see two people lying on the ground who can barely breathe. I notice the wounds that the two people present and it made me immediately act the healing spell on the two people, which any wizard has either a beginner or a master. I put both hands on the chest of the first human body and release the healing spell into his burned body and pierced by arrows, swords, or spears. To be honest, the wounds are so big that you can hardly tell what happened to him.
I hold both hands on the chest of that body for a few moments, and the wounds begin to close on their own, the burns begin to disappear and I could feel my heart start beating harder before I could barely make three or five beats when I first put both hands on his chest. When I see that the gunshot wounds disappear, and the blood coming out of the wounds begins to re-enter the body, I go to the second person, who looks better than the first. This second person is a poor blonde girl with freckles, who has burns on her body, but no wounds from an arrow or sword. That girl was still showing signs of her heart beating, but quite weakly. I immediately act and cast the healing spell on her teenage woman's chest. But what was a bit embarrassing about what I focused on was the fact that I had to put the blouse aside and get my hands on those fleshy spheres that people call chest or melons. However, when I applied the healing spell, I felt weird holding my hands on that girl's chest for a few seconds, but I don't understand why I felt so weird, because putting your hands on a human person is normal, right?

I notice that the blisters start to disappear, and the heartbeat starts to grow so I take my hands off her face and put my blouse back on her to not make anyone think I am a guy called rapist or pervert... or barbarian. But when I was about to leave, I noticed that the first person I healed, who is most likely the girl's father, got up and thanked me for healing. Apparently, the witch's healing spell can heal anyone and put it on its feet extremely quickly. The man looks at his little girl who opens her eyes after a few short attempts, takes her in her arms, and runs away with her from the burning village. But while that man was running away, he thanked me for saving his daughter as well. I leave immediately, but to other people who need to be healed because this is the mission of a wizard who possesses the ability to heal.
I run a few meters and come across a few people who are completely burned and I don't think they could give any sign of life. This spell I possess cannot bring dead people back to life. Corpses representing adults, young people, children, and even some old people who are almost skeletons are left on this path. I still walk among those corpses trembling and feeling scared that I might be attacked by an enemy in this area, but unfortunately for me, there was one. That enemy, even when he was about to come out of those corpses lying on the ground and in flames, prepares his bow with fire arrows, and even when he was ready to shoot, a miracle happens. A chariot that was not guided by any human being or half-man passes directly through that arch, which puts it on the ground and the chariot tramples it so hard that I heard some broken bones, even if I was at a fairly long distance between the two of us. I thank the lucky one and head to the next wounded who must be helped to overcome death.
I arrive in front of a house that has been extinguished, and I notice four men trying to save some children from dying. I go to those people who were trying to bandage and give some kind of juice on the burns of those four children with very large burns. When I approach them, one of those young men, very scared that I am an enemy, was ready to draw the dagger, but one, who I think is his older brother, stops him from taking the dagger using his bandaged left hand and he is looking at me.
"Can I see the injured ones?" I ask that boy who is bandaged.
"Who are you?" asks the bandaged boy.
"I am Judah, from the Kingdom of Romania. I am a wizard and can heal the wounds."
"You can heal people?!" ask a girl feeling so blessed that someone saved your poor children who came into the flames, but were saved in time.
"Yes." I respond to that girl.
"How can we trust you? What if you are one of-"
Just before that guy was about to finish his sentence, I used my healing spell on his broken arm. His hand has started to heal and eliminate the blood from bandages. After I healed his wounds, those three guys and girls let me go and trying to save those innocent children.
I reach the first of those children, open his shirt and notice some severe burns on his chest, but also a few dozen scars on his belly. I have no idea what those scars are, but the healing spell can make them disappear without problems. I put both hands on the chest of that poor child, and in a few seconds, the burns disappear and I start to feel how the baby's pulse starts to return in force. I leave the first child, then move on to the second of the five who were involved in this fire. The second child heals him without problems, but he also had scars just like the first boy. The third child had various bruises, but the scars were on his chest, which is starting to seem strange to me. And the fourth and fifth children had minor burns, but something was wrong with them, their heart was not beating, in fact, I could not feel the heart when I put both hands on the chest of the two children. Those four young people feel so sad that only three managed to survive, and two failed. They thank me and ask me if I want help, but I decide to refuse their offer and I go to the next people who need to be healed.
After a few minutes of running through the village, without noticing a person trying to get out or move, I notice that I don't think there is anyone left alive in this village, but even when I was about to reach the town square I notice something brutal, which I will certainly never forget.

The Queen's Guard
Friedrich Schreiner is a proud gefreiter of the Queen's Guard, 2nd Company: the finest fighting infantry on the continent (barring the Temple Guard; but please don't bring that up). Service is honourable but, with the Empire on a peacetime footing, terribly boring. Affairs take a dramatic turn for the worse when a mysterious invader uses a forgotten and taboo magical means to breach the capital, plunging the nation into chaos and endangering the royal family. With events spiraling out of control, Friedrich is entrusted with a critical mission. Will hot lead, cold steel, and his determination be enough to see him through? The Queen's Guard is what I'm calling a black powder fantasy story: it's set in a loose equivalent of the early 18th century (plus or minus a few pieces I decided I wanted or didn't want). Magic exists, but not in a spell-slinging sort of way: it's Earth-shaking undertakings or minor enchantments forged in by master craftsmen, the grand working of a secretive cabal or a slight nudge to the course of a blow. I, the eternal optimist, have a full trilogy in mind. The first book is The Prince's Arquebusier, hence the cover and the title disagreeing! This is my shot at 2021's NaNoWriMo and RR Writathon! I've hitherto been terrible at writing long-form fiction, so this is an effort to break out of that by having some accountability in being supposed to post chapters regularly. Here's hoping it works! I have an outline, but not too much detail. I'll do my best to avoid continuity errors, doing anything glaringly stupid, or otherwise fluffing my lines, but I can't make any promises on that. Please do let me know any feedback! Always happy to improve. [participant in the Nov 2021 Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Death By Protagonist
Donavan has made his living by wading through hundreds of stories in search of the quality few he and his firm believe to be worth publishing. After a strange twist of fate, he gets trapped inside the fantasy book of a particularly campy and amateur author. There he will have to navigate a world built on wish fulfillment, power fantasies, and fanservice in order to fix the story from the inside out if he ever wishes to leave. But can he bring himself to play the many roles necessary to manipulate and guide the characters to a satisfying conclusion? Authors Note: Death By Protagonist is meant to be simultaneously a satire of, and love letter to the isekai/portal fantasy genre. It both makes fun of and embraces many tropes of the genre such as harems, explicit sexual content, OP protagonists, and other things many people might think of as "trashy." If that doesn't sound like your thing, you've been warned, but I hope you'll give it a shot anyway. Update Schedule: Plan is to at least put out one new chapter every week, hopefully two.
