《The Noble Curse of Ookami [Previously Titled: CLOSER]》Mask Off

After inspecting the secret compartment his father built, Kyuuto concluded that his father wasn't as normal as he remembered. The moment when he heard his father telepathically talking to him also surfaced in his mind. He is an Ookami after all, and Hikiri pointed out that every direct line of the Ookami lineage has unique abilities and/or elements.
"I know it sounds crazy but... what if it's interdimensional?" a bulb suddenly appeared on top of Rin's head, "you know, all of that crazy sciency stuff... what if your father has the ability to access alternate dimensions where-- you know, he could store some stuff, or displace something entirely from this one, so that---"
"Yamisuke wouldn't be able to find me..." the bulb moved to Kyuuto now as he remembered the moment where he hid in there, and Yamisuke looked for him but couldn't. He was shielded by this compartment which may be in an entirely different dimension than this one.
"Incoming!!" Kazuki suddenly yelled from the outside, as a horde of hunters approached. He and Ishigaki stood by with their fighting stance, while other warriors soon joined them too.
----
The warriors once again fought like their first mission, clearing the area from the possessed, and purifying their souls to make sure they don't get possessed again. Kazuki was on fire to eliminate them, his accuracy was better than before, and with new teammates like Ishigaki, they proved to be a good combo.
"Kyuuto, your turn!!" Kazuki stabbed one of the hunters, then pushed him with his feet, Kyuuto then finished that hunter with one more slash and made him unconscious. Rin behind him then followed up by purifying his soul.
While the warriors were busy taking care of the hunters, on the horizon, the demons appeared. This kind of the possessed was never seen again since the last time the warriors fought Yamato. The demons were people who agreed to help Yamisuke achieve his means, so there's additional pressure while fighting them.

Some of the demons snatched the warriors and released them mid-air, making them suffer from lethal injuries. Kyuuto's team decided to focus on the hunters first while dodging the flying demons.
Their concentration was at their peak when suddenly a long wooden spear rocketed towards Kyuuto from where the demons initially appeared. Luckily, Kanata saw that and was able to hit it from the side, breaking it before hitting its target. Yamato then emerged from the direction of the spear.
"Finally, I was waiting for you to come back," he said, with some demons beside him.
Kyuuto, after knowing Aotori's backstory, tried to console him, "Yamato, look. I understand why you're like this, it's because of your old team, right? They didn't agree with you, but you're right all along,"
"Kurouzu was a coward, he doesn't want to admit his faults... it led to this chaos, this was preventable!! If only I killed him back then---" Yamato then charged up his left hand, ready to command his demons. Hikiri then moved to protect Kyuuto.
"Look, you're right, maybe we should confess back then. But now, there's another way! We don't need to sacrifice Kyuuto for the things he didn't do, we don't know what will happen next!" he tried to convince him.
"No, that is the only way. Kyuuto shouldn't have been born in the first place!!" Yamato then took a step back, commanded his demons to attack first, then followed up with his zodiac sword.
He and Hikiri then clashed their blades, symbolizing their opposite ideology of letting Kyuuto survive and sacrificing him. While the team dealt with the demons, the two ancient souls got separated to the west.
When Kazuki was dealing with one of the demons, he saw someone hopping around and went through the defense line toward the base. He thought the person was familiar, so he followed him. It was Kuroyuki.

But right before he could chase him, the warriors were startled by a powerful lightning strike. Kuroyuki transformed right in the middle of the battlefield. He destroyed some buildings, causing some of the warriors to evacuate back into the base. Among those warriors was Hoshikawa, who tried to avoid Kuroyuki's rampage by hopping onto roofs.
But before he could reach the shield of the base, he got snatched by the grim and taken away.
"Hoshikawa!!" his brother then put on a hot pursuit.

The Werewolf Cheerleader
Being a cheerleader is easier than being a werewolf. Jessica Tumbleleague is a typical teenage girl who loves being a cheerleader at Moondale High. But after an encounter with a werewolf in the woods, Jessica discovers a frightening world she never thought is real. Dangerous magic, deadly fierce spirits, and other malevolent creatures. Now Jessica must fight the forces of darkness to protect her hometown while balancing her supernatural life with her high school life. But can she control the beast within herself? Note: This is a rewrite of the original with the same name. I decided to change the third-person style to first-person because I liked Jessica's voice better. She is funny and very strong. With the story only focusing on her, I can keep the mystery suspenseful and the reader can experience what Jessica is experiencing. It is a typical YA style, but it is fun to write as your main character. There are changes, but the first and second books will be similar to the third-person chapters. Let me know what you think and I hope you will enjoy this new version of the Werewolf Cheerleader. I will post the chapters every Friday in the afternoon. P.S, there is a Werewolf Cheerleader short story published in the Tales of Dungeons, All Hallows book. Titled The Werewolf Cheerleader: Castle and Ghouls. The short is also in first-person, which made me decide to change the book series into first-person. The link is below if you want to check it out. https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B08MCS82R5

Slaying Monsters for Dummies
East coast, late 2018. A handful of people with nothing in common find themselves targeted by kidnappers. It sounds like a job for the FBI, except that the criminals are not quite human anymore, and the victims find themselves wielding strange abilities. How exactly are you supposed to explain that to the cops? You don't. You survive, fight and strive, and most importantly you prepare, for magic is coming back and there is a world to save. And a market to corner. Image by Bella Bergolts. https://www.deviantart.com/bellabergolts The story is told from the perspective of the two protagonists. I have finished writing two arcs and will upload them quickly, the upload rate will slow down after that. I welcome corrections and constructive criticism, in particular when it comes to inconsistencies.
