《mine and his - mattheo riddle》Two Friends, For Two Friends.

It's a chilly morning, birds begin to sing and fly all around the blue sky.

A man shoots one. Watching as it falls down elegantly. The other birds fly away.

The man smiles, picking it up and bringing it inside.

He throws it on his kitchen table. Grabbing a piece of parchment and a quill.

He begins writing.

"Dear old friend, I have great news. We should begin a gathering, bring wine and women. My men have caught a word from a little birdy. The twins, their alive and breathing."

"I don't understand, how can he be my brother?"

The women sighs, "there isn't enough time to explain, put this hat on." She throws me a black hat.

I look at it weirdly before putting it on, looking down at my feet as we walk down this grey corridor. A man and women walk past us, too busy talking to notice us.

Once their far away, I look back up and look around the place.

Everything is artificial.

The walls are what I'm assuming is steel, their painted over with a thin layer of grey. The floor is some type of metal, maybe silver.

I look up at the artificial light, squinting at it.

We're underground.

"Come on." Marie whispers, motioning for me to hurry up. I gulp, walking quicker.

I still don't know what is happening, I don't know who this women is or where she is going to take me, or if Harry and Mattheo are still alive.

And Draco?

Draco being my brother?

Well, half brother.

It's just too much. Too much information. Too much to handle.

I grab the women, pushing her up against the wall as I pull out a knife from up my sleeve. I stole it from her when she was cutting me out of the ropes.

I put the knife to her throat, careful to not slice her skin. Yet.

"Who are you?" Is the first thing I ask.

"I'm Marie."

"Yes, you told me that already."

"I was friends with your mother."

I swallow. "What's her name?"

"What?" She furrows her brows, looking at the blade. Her calmness almost irritates me.

"I said, what's her name." I put the blade more closer to her throat. Cocking up an eyebrow when she shuts her eyes tightly.

"Eveylyn Vozenilek."

I breathe out, poking her skin with the end of the knife.

"I- I knew you!" She says quickly, breathing uncontrollably.

I tilt my head, releasing my grip a bit on her hair.

"I m-met you."

"Yeah, really?" I laugh.

"Yes! You were young, but when I first saw you, in that room, I immediately recognised you. Not because you look like your mother, but b-because, you still have that look. That sarcastic one that makes you look as if nothing can scare you."

I clench my jaw.

"When did you 'meet' me?"

"It was in late December. You had friends over. Draco and a blonde girl named Rebecca."

I blink, ignoring the fact my heart skipped a beat.

"Are you watching me?" I grab her hair once again, pushing it down, she looks at the ceiling, shaking her head.

"N-No. Your mother." I nod, raising a brow. She releases a tight breath.

"She had invited me over, you three were watching a movie, I remember because I watched it with you all. Rebecca wanted to show your mother and I her dance, well your dance. Draco was apart of it, but he was too embarrassed to join you guys. After me and your mother began dancing with you girls, Draco finally gave in and danced with us."

I blink. Trying to ignore my burning nose.

"H-How do you know this?" My voice began breaking. I cleared my throat in hope it wouldn't be cracky when I talk again.

"I already told you, Y/n. I was there. I am Marie. Do you not remember me?"

I look down, thinking. Thinking until suddenly. I realise.

I release her. Gasping as tears fall down my face.

She sighs, looking at the floor as she gathers her breaths.

"Where is Mattheo?" Is the second thing I ask.

She looks up at me, swallowing.

"He's okay." I sigh. But that isn't enough. I need to know where he is.

"Where is he?"

"Y/n-"

"Where is he."

"I- I don't know. All I know is that he is in some kind of prison. He's unharmed, though."

I nod. "Who set the bombs?"

She furrows her brows. "What?"

"I asked you. Who set the bombs?"

"We- We did. We had too. It was supposed to weaken them."

I push her up against the wall again. Putting the blade closer to her throat this time.

"We?"

"My t-team." She breathes out.

"You- You set the bombs?"

"N-No-"

"Then what is it? Because you just told me that you set the bombs! You killed my friends."

She exhales. "No- We set it to weaken the people you were fighting with. We didn't think it would've turned out the way it did."

"What people!" I poke the end of the knife into her skin, slowly pushing it further in.

"T-These people!" She yells, tears rolling down her cheeks. "These people..." she sighs when I move the blade from her neck.

"People?"

"Yes." She answers immediately. "Their looking for Draco, and- and you. They thought you two were dead. They recently just found out that you two are still alive."

"W-What?" I shake my head, gulping. "Why? Why are they looking for Draco? Why are they looking for me?"

"Because you two are the key to what they want."

"And what do they want?"

"Power."

"Power?" I laugh.

Suddenly, a man and women rush to us, both in the exact same suit Marie is in.

"Marie?" The women looks at me cautiously, holding tightly on to her gun.

"It's fine." Marie says. "She's just afraid."

I laugh. Dropping Marie to her knees and slicing the back of her leg, ignoring her loud scream which I think may have caused me to go slightly deaf in my left ear.

The two point their guns at me. I can't help but laugh. "We don't want to hurt you, y/n." The women says, I raise my brows. "Then, why are you pointing your guns at me?"

They look at one another, then both come at me.

I kick the guy in the testicle, use him to shield me from the girl who attempted a punch towards me.

She barges at me when I drop him.

In a second, I trip her, slicing her stomach to weaken her, then grabbing her gun and throwing it across the hallway.

I pick up the gun the man dropped on the floor and hitting the handle part of it hard on his head, not knocking him out fully, but weakening him.

He has a strong head.

I grab the women first, then the man, putting them both on their knees as Marie watches, who is still on the floor and trying to stop her blood from flowing out of her leg by pressing on it.

I wipe blood off my face, inhaling in deeply.

"Two Friends, For Two Friends." I say before slicing their necks. Marie screams, crying as they drop to the floor and create two puddles of blood.

I walk to her, gun pointed at her head.

"My mother always told me, even if a friend or someone you trust has done you wrong, you always, always, need to get equal."

"We're equal." I say, bending down to tie her hands.

"Now, you're going to tell me how to get out of here, Marie. And by the time we reach the door, to my calculations, the alarms will go off and they will come after us. They may have already heard the screaming, but I doubt it."

I point to the steel walls with the knife I used to slice her two friends throats.

"Steel walls." I say. "Steel doors. No sound will be able to travel through them. But if someone is at the end of this hallway, on either side. They most definitely may have heard your ear deafening screams."

Marie stares at her friends' bodies, still crying.

I groan, grabbing her chin. "Listen. Now is not the time to be all sad or what ever you call it. I need to get out of here."

"I was going to help you." Marie muttered, still staring at her friends.

"We were going to help you." She looks back up at me, tears falling out of her blood shot eyes.

I pull her up, no help from her as she allows me to carry her full body weight. She looks back at her friends. "We were going to help you, and you just killed them."

"Like I said. Two friends for two friends. I avenged them, now I'm moving on. Don't make me add to that list, Marie."

She releases a shaky breath, walking at my paste beside me.

"Tell me how to get out of here."

She laughs, shutting her eyes. I look at her, waiting for her to answer.

"Take a left, you'll see a room, it contains the keys for every vent and door."

"Great."

* * *

After breaking into a room and searching for every key possible. We finally make it to a vent which, Marie, says is the way out of here.

I push her into the vent, telling her to crawl and that I'll be behind her.

I sigh, bending on my knees and crawling into the tiny space.

After what felt like centuries, we make it to the end of the vent, to another one.

"Untie me so I can unscrew this vent." Marie says. I laugh, "no."

I pull out the man's gun from my pocket, thankful for the silencer on the end of it. I use it to shoot the hinges.

Marie flinches, moving back.

"Push it." I say, putting the gun back into my pocket. She does as I say, pushing the vent which collapsed to the floor loudly.

I push her out and get out quickly, looking around.

"Where are we?" I ask.

"The exit room."

"There's an exit room in here?" I laugh, but she doesn't. She just mutters something under her breath and walks to a big door which I'm presuming is the exit door.

I pull out the key from my pocket, walking to the door.

I stop. Looking around.

"This is too easy." I mumble.

"Yeah well, better easy than hard."

"Too easy." I say, spinning around and grabbing the gun from my pocket.

"Y/n. Let's just go." Marie says.

I sigh, turning back around slowly and walking up to the door once again.

I unlock it and push it open. A gust of wind pushes us back. I can't help but smile. But the smell isn't too pleasing. This isn't natural wind, it's artificial wind from a wind tunnel.

I open my eyes, looking inside. Another room which has a latter, which probably is the way to the actual exit.

Great.

"I thought this was the exit door?" She shakes her head. "No. Now let's go. Please."

I push her into the room, closing the door behind us.

After climbing the latter and reaching the actual door to exit what ever this place is. I release Marie from her restraints.

We begin walking, in the dark. Suddenly, the place blows up. I hold on to my gun. Looking back at the place. "Bloody hell." I mumble.

"Come on." Marie says.

I can't see anything but I know that we're outside.

She grabs me, pulling me towards something.

We reach a jeep. An undercover jeep.

"Do you know how to drive, Y/n?" Marie asks. "Yes. Why ask?"

"Because I know you most definitely won't let me drive."

"You're right." I smile, opening the car door and stepping inside, motioning for her to get into the passenger seat.

"You should trust me." Marie says after a half hour of driving around. I roll my eyes, looking behind.

"Did you see that?" I ask.

"Probably just a deer, or something."

"Wait. Where am I?"

She sighs. "In a car."

"No. I mean what country am I in?"

She looks at me, looks at the drivers wheel. "Is it not obvious?"

"We're in bloody North America." Marie says. Making her seat go down as she closes her eyes and takes off her seat belt to get comfortable.

I'm in bloody North America?

Bloody hell.
