《A Dance With Hades》Epilogue.

I put the finishing touches of my make up myself because Vincenzo made it very clear that he didn't want to see my beautiful face covered with layers of make up.

Seven days is all I needed to plan the wedding of my dreams. It cost Vincenzo a lot, but he made it clear that he didn't care as long as I got everything I wanted for our wedding.

I got cold feet a few times during the week because Vincenzo and I haven't even been together for three months but we are already ready to exchange vows in front of a priest.

There is no doubt that I want to marry Vincenzo today, just wish that both my friends were here to see it happen. I got a jeweller to make me a golden hairpin with the letter 'N' encrusted with diamonds for today.

He may not be here physically, but I know he is watching on at my wedding with that goofy smile of his.

"You look amazing," Loredana and Aurora compliment for the umpteenth time. Mona did an amazing job at making this dress for me. She told me she started making it when she heard of my engagement.

She knew exactly what I wanted without even asking me. The tight wedding dress shows off my curves and outlines every other attention attracting detail on my body.

The back is extremely low as it exposes most of my back just like the first dress I got from her. The small details of lace and pearls run down from the neckline to the long train behind me.

The neckline dips all the way down to my stomach as it splits the dress in half. It exposes the valley of my breasts and a bit of my stomach.

This doesn't look anything near your traditional wedding dress, and I absolutely love it.

My father walks into the room and tears immediately fill his eyes. "I don't believe this day has come so soon," he says as he walks closer to me.

He wraps his arms around me and I smile into his chest as I hug him back. He made sure that my horrid adopted mother and sister stay far away from my wedding, which just makes me happier than I already am.

His dark suit goes with the theme of my wedding, A Dance With Hades. It took me a while to come up with a colour scheme for the wedding but once I thought of the man I'm marrying, it came together.

"It's time," Aurora says with a wide smile and I nod. My father offers me his elbow and I gladly take it as we walk out of the room.

We make our way down the hallway towards the ballroom where Vincenzo got down on one knee not so long ago. "You nervous?"

Instead of using the main door, we take a turn and go to doors on the east side of the ballroom. We stand in front of the doors and I feel the nerves finally set in.

I'm a nineteen year girl that had no life before all of this and now I'm a somebody who is getting married to the Don of the Sicilian Mafia, what a world, what a world indeed.

I look up at my father then at the thick double doors in front of us. "Kind of."

"Don't worry, he's a good man," he says before placing a kiss on my forehead.

————

The priest smiles at me as I nervously await to see my bride walk through those double doors.

When she first told me that she wants the wedding to be held in the same room where she lost her friend, I didn't think it was a good idea, but now, I see the significance of her wanting it here.

The ballroom has the families of importance in my Mafia seated in front of me and all around the room. She said she wanted everyone to see our wedding and well, here we are.

My brothers stand behind me in their dark suits with Angelo standing amongst them. They give me looks of reassurance and all I can do is smile.

My mother and Loredana walk into the room using the backdoor and take their seats next to their husbands in the front row.

They smile at me and I nod at them, glad that they are here because that means Nyx is coming.

Nyx doesn't have any bridesmaids so it's just the groomsmen and she doesn't mind at all. I haven't seen her in two days because my mother and Loredana have been keeping her away from me.

They made it their mission to make sure that I don't get a glimpse of what she's going to look like today.

I have no clue what her wedding dress looks like, or what her hair looks like, not even a what colour her shoes are.

She planned our entire wedding in the span of a week and it looks absolutely amazing. There were days where didn't sleep because she was perfecting everything, but I see all of her hard work in this room.

But I don't care about how beautiful this place looks, I would've married Nyx in the same alleyway I met her as long as she was the one I was professing my undying love to.

She made sure that security was at its best today so we don't have any other mishaps. The last thing we need is our wedding getting ruined by one of my enemies.

She was excited when she was telling me all about what she has planned for the wedding, but her mood changed when she mentioned Nicola and how he can't be here.

I know she's still upset that he can't be here, but she's more than happy that Angelo is able to stand amongst my groomsmen.

The sound of the band starting the music gets my attention and my hands begin to dampen with sweat. Everyone turn their heads in the direction of the doors as two guards open them.

"No way," Enzo whispers when he sees my beautiful bride.

Her dress is a mixture of white and black, and she looks absolutely beautiful.

————

The doors open and the music becomes louder. People gasp when they see the colour of my dress and I just smile. Mona shows me a thumbs up as my father and I walk past her.

Vincenzo's gaze feels heavy on me. He staring at me with a look of awe, so are his brothers. They are probably shocked that my dress isn't fully white. A full in white dress is so boring and I'm glad Mona mixed it up a bit.

The guests look at me with looks of envy, pride, interest, hate, joy and a whole lot of other emotions. I'm glad that I'm making people angry just because I'm going to have position of power in the Mafia.

Some people can't get over the fact that I'm black, and that's their problem, because I'm going to be the Queen and there isn't anything they can do about it.

My father and I walk up the stairs that lead up to the main entrance of the ballroom and stop in front of Vincenzo. My father hands me over to Vincenzo and shakes his hand before walking back down the stairs.

The priest smiles at us before he begins his little speech on why everyone is here. I'm too focused on how ravishing Vincenzo looks to even focus on his exact words.

"You are drooling," he whispers with a smirk and I roll my eyes.

"And you are hard," I say while lowering my eyes to the slight buldge forming his pants. "Can't wait to have that inside of me." His eyes widen and the priest coughs as he hears my words.

I smirk and look at the priest as he tells us to recite our vows. "I don't think either of us wrote any," I laugh while shaking my head and Vincenzo nods with a cheeky grin.

The priest looks at us with a look of disbelief. "Well then, let's move on then," he says and Vincenzo and I share a look of amusement. "Do you, Vincenzo Emilio Martinelli, take Nyx Manson to be your lawful wedded wife?"

"I do," he says as he slips on my even more expensive wedding ring onto my finger.

"And do you, Nyx Manson, take–"

"I do."

"Impatient," Vincenzo snickers as I slide his ring onto his finger.

"As always," I say to him and the priest groans. Paolo comes waddling over to us with two velvet pillows. My jaw drops when I see a breathtakingly beautiful brown sitting ontop of one of the pillows.

"Can't be a queen without a crown," Vincenzo says as he picks the crown up from the pillow. I slightly lower my head and he places the crown on my head.

I pick his crown up from the pillow and inch closer to him so I can place the crown on his head. "Handsome," I say as I tilt it to the side. "Perfect," I giggle as I step away from him.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may–" Vincenzo doesn't even let the poor man finish his sentence as he grabs my waist and pulls me into a heated kiss.

————

I lean back and he follows me, our tongues fighting for dominance as we prolong our kiss. The crown on my head starts slipping and I quickly lift my hand up to my head.

Vincenzo breaks the kiss and smirks. "Mine," he says while lifting me back up.

"Mine," I say to him as I fix my crown.

"The Don and Donna," the priest says and everyone gets up from their seats and bow their heads.

Vincenzo wraps his arms around my waist and places his head in my shoulder. "You have the world at your feet," he says into my as he points to all of the bowing people.

"We have the world at our feet," I correct him and he just chuckles. I can't believe that I'm now the Donna of a Mafia and the wife of a man I believe is perfect.

"What a world," I say and he lifts his head from my shoulders. I look up at the ceiling with smile, finally happy that I get to send the rest of my life with Vincenzo.

"This day is just–" Vincenzo is cut off by the sound a bullet cracking through the air. I look down to see someone standing at the far north side of the ballroom with a gun.

"Oh fuck me," I grumble.
