Nyx is still laying in bed in her bedroom. She didn't want to sleep in the same bed as me when we came back to the penthouse so I let her be.

It's been two days since the incident and she hasn't opened her bedroom door once. She hasn't eaten since we got back and I don't even think she changed out of the dress she was wearing at the ball.

I don't know what to do to comfort her because she just lost one of her friends. She has never had someone she has called her friend before.

She is hurting right now and I just want to make her feel better in any way I can, but if she keeps that door locked, then I obviously can't help her.

She hasn't been answering her father's calls or anyone from my family's call. She trying to block everyone who cares for her out because she just lost someone she cared about.

Watching her beg Nicola to stay with her broke me in ways I never knew were possible. She was gripping onto his life harder than he was, but it wasn't enough.

He slipped through her fingers and she's now feeling the effects.

I've been knocking on the door of her room ever hour to see if she's going to open up, but I didn't even get a shout of 'go away' out of her.

The thought of knocking down her door crossed my mind a few times, but that might scare her.

There was a lot of screaming and sounds of things being broken when she closed the door of her room when we first got back.

She was shouting out all of her pain, asking Nicola why he left her and that he should back as soon as possible. She begged and screamed for him to come back, even though she knows he isn't going to.

Hearing her plead for her friend to come back to her made me realise how much she valued his life and the lives of those she has grown to love.

There hasn't been any other sounds coming from her room in a while, besides the loud cries of pain and misery.

She started crying in the middle of the night and tried keeping it quiet, but I was sitting right in front of the door, so I could hear all of her painful sobs.

I could hear her crying when I stood by the door earlier too, and it breaks me to hear her like that. All she wants is for Nicola to come back and I wish I could do that for her, but we both know it's impossible.

Nicola meant a lot to her so it's only understandable that she feels this way.

The elevator doors open and Angelo steps out. He looks around the room for a few seconds and bows his head when he sees me standing by the hallway.

"Don," he says as he lifts his head. He holds a laptop in front of his body and I frown a bit.

The back of the laptop is covered with stickers of all sorts of things, but what stands out the most is the giant Lamborghini logo sticker in the middle.

"She asked me to bring this from her apartment," he says and I nod. He turns and makes his way to the stairs. I follow closely behind him as he walks up the stairs and down the hallway towards her bedroom.

He knocks on her door and she gives him no response. She probably thinks it's me trying to get her to talk to me again.

"It's Angelo," he says and the lock clicks a second later. She pulls the door open and looks at him with a blank expression.

Her loose braids are hanging over her shoulders and are going down her back while some braids at hanging in front of her eyes.

The now slightly wrinkled maroon dress still hugs her small body, and I can see the splashes of blood along the material.

Her eyes are red from all of the crying she's been doing and the blood that Nicola got on her face two days ago is slightly washed away.

Her hands are still dirty with his blood.

She takes the laptop from his hands and moves her gaze to me. She doesn't say anything and turns around, leaving the door open so we can enter her dark room.

She sits down in front of the mirror and flips the top of the laptop. The screen lights up and she squints a bit.

She types in her password and her laptop unlocks. I watch as she opens some file on the desktop and the entire screen turns black for a second before pictures begin to pop up.

"I'm going to open the curtains," Angelo says as he walks towards the windows.

"No," she hisses, but he doesn't listen to her. He pulls the curtains back and she groans as the bright sun spills into her room, swallowing all of the darkness.

"You never listen to me," she mumbles and he narrows his eyes at her. She stops typing and takes a deep breath in. "It wouldn't kill you to listen to me."

"It might," he says, sarcasm dripping from his tone. Her eyes snap up at him and he keeps a straight face. She looks back at her laptop as her fingers move over the keys at a fast pace. "What are you doing?"

She keeps typing away at her keyboard instead of giving him an answer. Her eyes squint a bit each time she gets stuck and her lips twist each time she stops typing.

We listen to the clicking sound of the keyboard for a few more minutes before she stops and lets out a heavy breath.

"They are hiding in Japan," she says while turning around to face us. She shows us the screen of her laptop, two red dots blinking on what seems to be a mapp. "I'm going to kill them myself."

"How did you–"

"I'm a tech genius, it wasn't so hard to find two human beings," she cuts me off with an annoyed look on her face. "Your IT guys were taking too long to find these fuckers."

"When do you want to leave?" Angelo asks.

"Now."

After I forced Nyx to get into the shower, she cleaned off all of the blood that stained her face, hands and feet.

There is no life left in her eyes and the way she moves shows me that she is tired. She's forcinf herself to do this and I know I won't be able to talk her out of staying back.

She hasn't let me touch her once, and it kind of hurts me, but I will have to live with it for now.

We climb out of the car and she doesn't waste time to get up to the jet. She's been on her laptop ever since we left the penthouse and hasn't even spared me a glance.

She is determined to get to Japan as quick as she can just so she can end Paula and Ivan's lives. I would've never thought Nyx would be capable of something as cruel as murder.

She's been pushed to very edge so murder seems like a little thing to her right now. I don't want her to kill someone. The thought of taking someone's life will weigh on her mind.

Killing isn't an easy thing.

I have killed so many people that I don't even feel pain whenever I see the life drain from their eyes anymore. Nyx is too caring to take a life, it's just something she can't do.

"Where are they exactly?" I ask as we sit down in my jet. She looks up from her laptop then back down at the screen.

She shows me the screen of her laptop and I frown when I see where the red dots are located.

"You know where they are?" She is quick to ask.

"That's the location of the leader of the Yakuza's home." I've been in that house enough times to know where it's located.

Getting into that house is going to be a hard task to achieve because of how advanced the security systems are.

"The Bravta is using the Yakuza to their advantage."

This only makes matters worse. The Yakuza and my Mafia have been on good terms for a while now, but them taking in Paula and Ivan after what they have done is unacceptable.

If Nyx wants Paula and Ivan dead then I will kill every member of the Yakuza and Bravta to get their heads for her. I'm tired of seeing her in so much pain so I'm going to make sure to stop it.

"They have advanced security systems," she says while staring down at the screen. "But they are too easy to hack," she says with a slight smirk.

She's feeling a bit better.
