《Luv A Thug (Key Glock)》16. A Major Snowstorm

A/N
A cute and fun chapter. Got this idea cause most of the country was locked in due to the snow storm. Prayers for the families that were affected and had loss of life due to the storm.
I know you guys hate Key but she is pregnant with his child and they will have to have some type of relationship with one another. Lay has never been a bitter anything so she definitely won't be a bitter baby mother.
Lastly, nvm 🤭.
Enjoy.
❄️
Lay rubbed her Palmers cocoa butter on her stomach. She did it everyday to contain stretch marks, that and bio oil were helping her tremendously. Going in with her Aveeno sensitive skin she rubbed that all over the rest of her body before putting her undergarments on and eventually her outfit for the day.
Thankfully, she still had clothes over at Key's house in the spare bedroom. She took her shower cap off and left her weave claw clipped. After brushing her face and completing her skin care routine, Lay cleaned up the bathroom and made her way out.
Sweets 💗: hi baby. I hope you're safe through this storm.
Chalynn❤️:Hi love. I'm doing well. Can't wait to see you soon.
Lay smiled at her phone before locking it and heading downstairs to get something to eat.
Key was feeding Eli apples and cinnamon oatmeal in a white wife beater and his sweats. His sweatshirt was hanging over his chair at the island.
"Thank you for feeding her." Lay walked past them to the refrigerator to cook herself something to eat.
"I had the chef make you some avocado toast, two egg fried hard, some fruit, bacon and potatoes with onions. She even made some freshly squeezed beet and orange juice." Key said with out looking up from what he was doing.
"Okay then look at you. You stalked my Instagram or something?" Lay joked pressing start on the microwave. While her food was warming up she grabbed a glass put ice in it and poured her juice.
"I wouldn't say stalked."
"How's Bree doing?" Lay asked grabbing some napkins before sitting down with her plate and juice.
"She's doing good actually and your man's?" He asked wiping Eli's face and hands.
"I don't have a man. I keep telling you that." Lay rolled her eyes. She didn't know why she didn't want to tell him about Dorian but it didn't feel right.
"Why do you feel like you have to lie? If you dating somebody that's coo." Key turned to look at her before grabbing the syrup, hot sauce and ketchup for her.
"I just don't understand why you think I'm dating somebody. Thanks." She poured her condiments on each item that needed it and said grace.
"That night where shit was finna go down. Somebody had texted yo phone. Looked like a boo to me but what do I know." He let Eli out of her high chair to go play.
"It was Golden. We were 'involved' she took me to this retreat and made me fall for her but clearly she was more into me than I was her because I was still going to sleep with you. She broke things off with me when I went to Belize. I understand if you're mad at me. Shit I'm mad at me." Lay stopped chewing for a second.
"The past is the past. We've moved on from that. Yo food good?"
"It surely is." She chugged her juice before Eli was reaching for her 'mother' to pick her up. "I can't lift you." But the one year old didn't understand. She threw her body on the ground and wailed loudly.

"Come here. It's time for you nap. I'll be back Cha." Key picked her up and held the screaming child while he took her upstairs.
Lay finished her food, wiped her mouth and washed her dishes. Walking over to the living room her phone began to buzz.
"Hi bestie." She grinned into the camera.
"Hi boo. I thought you were still mad at me." Samaria stuck her bottom lip out.
"Nah. It's all good. You stocked up for the storm? I miss you." Lay sat down on the couch and threw a blanket over top of her.
"She went right to sleep." Key said making his way downstairs with the baby monitor in his hand.
"Is that? Markeyvius?" Samaria asked raising her eyebrow. Lays face went as pale as it possibly could.
"Yeah." She looked embarrassed but it wasn't what it looked like, at all.
"Wassup. Where's Toosie big head ass at?" Key looked into the phone like this emoji (🤨).
"Right here nigga Wassup wit you." Toosie and Key took the phones from both girls and started talking it up with each other. Lay rolled her eyes and sighed, her belly was full and so that meant it was nap time. Though she had just gotten up.
"That's crazy how our baby moms know each other." Key shook his head in disbelief. You would've thought these two were best friends the way they cackled and laughed on the phone.
"Aye nigga. We gone have to catch up once this snow storm passes by." Toosie said into the phone and that was the last thing she heard before she fell asleep.
❄️
"Bryson. Please. I'm pregnant. No stop, Bryson dragged Lay down the trap house hallway. Her bare legs kicked as she yelped, catching dirty stray splinters along the way.
"I didn't give a fuck the first time and I don't give a fuck now." He tossed her on to the dirty mattress on the floor.
"Bry please. You're hurting me." Lay whined as her skin bled.
"Spook. You knew what this was. You signed up for it."
Chalynn's eyes stung as he did what he was going to do to her. She had hoped somebody would come save her but was that going to happen? No.
"Clean yo self up. You got rounds. You gone always be mine. Remember that." Bryson threw her pants at her face as she sat up. The familiar cramping in her stomach turned full force followed by the bleeding.
"Ah!" Lay screamed out in pain, she sat up and clutched her stomach.
"Yo you good?" Key asked as he rushed to her side. Lay was shaking and crying gripping her pregnant stomach like her life depended upon it.
"My baby." She whined rocking back and forth. He had never seen Lay have a dream this bad. She was sweating profusely.
"Cha. You and the baby are good. Aight?" Key brought her into his embrace and rubbed her back. She threw back the cover and looked at her shorts. Clear, no bleeding.
"It felt so r-real." Ever since she had gotten deeper into her pregnancy, Lay's pregnancy dreams have been getting worst. More and more real.
"What happened? If you don't wanna talk about it. That's cool too." Lay broke from his embrace but that didn't stop him from comforting her.
She went on to tell him about her dream, the worst part was when he realized that it was a true story. He felt bad about calling her a hoe that day at Eli's party.

"I-I didn't know it was this bad with Bryson. I'm sorry I called you a hoe that day." Key bit his lip nervously.
"The past is the past right? I have so many scars on my body from that man." Lay lifted up her shirt to show the stab marks strategically hidden on her body.
"I never noticed these before." Key pensively rubbed her scars with his thumb.
"I know. Then this one here. They said I would never be able to carry a baby full term." She showed him the scar right below her belly button.
"We gone make sure you do." Key was thinking of a million ways he could slice Bryson up the way he allowed for Cha to be.
"Only God can tell. Whatever is in His will for us." Lately, Chalynn was on a God train. It was because of Him that she was still here, through all her trauma. Key only nodded his head.
"I got stabbed too. Some crazy girl I was fucking with caught me cheating came back and stabbed a nigga. Right here." Key lifted his wife beater to show her the marking right above his kidney.
"You been a menace yo whole life huh?" Lay giggled examining his scar.
"Hell yeah." He chuckled putting his shirt back down.
"Bad as fuck, Dennis the menace. Ooh!" Lay rapped a little off beat to his song. The both of them laughed at how proper she rapped it.
"I bought my chopper some titties, ooh!" Key rapped next and he didn't expect for Lay to keep going but she was a fan before he became her baby dad.
"I got no top and no feelings, ooh!" Lay started to get hype, this was easily one of her favorite songs. "Turn that shit on." She stood up suddenly forgetting about her bad dream.
Key did his infamous chuckle before grabbing his surround sound remote to turn on his Bluetooth.
"You ready?" Key asked handing her another remote as a microphone.
"Tay Keith fuck these niggas up!" She joked, Key grabbed her phone to record her then pressed play on the song.
Lay went in on the entire song mocking her baby dad with his hand motions and his little dance he did in Ambition For Cash.
"Aye!" He hyped her getting lit himself. Lay did a goofy dance, he tried to get as much of her as he could with out showcasing her stomach that was visible.
"Since I was six I been with it. Glock!" Lay dropped the mic and bowed as he cut the camera off.
"Aye you turned that shit up I can't lie. Rapped it better than me." He handed her the phone and paused the music.
"You need me to open up your next tour." She joked sitting down and taking a sip of her water.
"I mean. I don't see why not. You can sing girl. Why not make a career out of it?" He asked her sitting across from her.
"We're going to have a baby soon. I don't think I can juggle a career in law, a newborn and going on tour singing. Plus Eliana. We haven't even decided on what we were going to do with her situation."
"I know. They not even having a funeral for Brittany. They cremated her. I just wish I was nicer to her before she passed." Key sighed and leaned back into the couch.
"What do you mean?" Lay was intrigued she didn't know that Key was mean to her, he did put her in one of the best rehabs.
"I was pissed off the last time I saw her. She lied to try and get me to be with her. She tried calling out to me but I didn't want to hear it. I wonder if I could've saved her life." Key spiraled for a second.
"Key, you literally put her in rehab. You tried to save her life. She just didn't want to be saved." Lay looked at him softly.
"Yeah .. I hope. We can talk to her grandparents about it and go from there." He shrugged, not really wanting to talk about it anymore.
"You heard from Mia? I noticed the kids weren't at the dinner." Key clenched up when he heard her name.
"She went off on me and told me I couldn't see the kids because of how well I've been treating Bree compared to you. Which I mean. If I could go back and do it over I would but I can't now. I can only do better now."
"Mm. That's not right. I'll talk to her, I know how much the kids mean to you. So, I'll make it a mission to go see her this week."
"You don't have to do that Cha."
"But I want too."
❄️
"Damn it's about 6pm now. You hungry? I can cook." Lay stretched off the couch, she had forced Key to watch back to back episodes of Insecure from the beginning they had finally made it to season two when Eliana woke up.
"A nigga is hungry but I can call the chef from their quarters and have them cook." He suggested.
"Nope, just tell me what you want and I got you." Lay began to wash her hands and Eli teetered towards her.
"There's some steak in there, maybe some mac and cheese, yams, lil broccoli or something or cabbage." That's all she needed to hear before she began to cook everything for the three of them.
This is how Lay had imagined being with Key. She didn't want or expect for a baby to come so soon but there was nothing they could do about that now. Cooking for him and Eli, watching movies while being snowed in.
Key snuck glimpses of Lay and she moved around the kitchen singing and dancing with Eliana. He wondered what it would have been like had he not messed that up between them. A time where he could walk right over to her and kiss her softly. Sweep her off her feet and twirl her.
Show Eliana what love is supposed to look like and after putting Eli to bed making love well into the night. But, that was now ruined between them.
"Hmm, taste this." Lay held the spoon of macaroni ingredients up to his lips.
"Yeah! Hurry up and put that in the oven." Key boasted as he turned from insecure and turned on some R&B music. He put Eli in her play pen with her iPad and washed his hands.
"What do you think you're doing?" Lay asked with her hand on her hip.
"You sit here," Key lifted her up and placed her on the counter gently. "Now tell me how to cook it. Please." Lay sat on the island in disbelief. Not only did he lift her up but he was really about to finish cooking for her. She pulled her shirt down over her belly.
"Okay, so I already seasoned your and Eli's small piece, so you can season mine with everything right there. Not too much cause my blood pressure has been good." Key nodded his head and evenly distributed the seasonings on Lay's steak.
"The other side too right?" He asked her looking back with the Lawry's in his hand.
"Yes please but just a tiny bit." She emphasized with her fingers how much she meant.
"I got you." He chuckled putting even less seasoning on the other side of her steak.
"I see," She mumbled positively. Maybe being friends with Key wouldn't be so bad after all. The longer she stared at the floor the further from reality she went.
"And always will." Key smiled walking over to her. He lifted her chin gently, clearly catching her by surprise.
"Don't say anything you don't mean." She warned him staring at him heavily neither of them broke eye contact. Key walked in between her legs his hands on both thighs and kissed her. Lays hands went to his cheeks to deepen the kiss but Key pulled away.
No Chalynn. You're over Markeyvius. Remember? You have Dorian. Day dream about Dorian. Lay tried to trick her mind.
Key came back again and kissed her but with more passion than the first time. Their tongues collided and right when Lay moaned into the kiss.
"Cha?" Key asked looking at her confused.
"Hmm?" She asked not aware that she was daydreaming.
"You good?" Lay nodded her head yes and got down off the counter slowly.
"Yo son is kicking again." She sighed, rubbing her stomach before she stretched placing both hands on her lower back.
"He ready to eat! Yo dada cooking for you." He baby talked to her stomach.
"So what you got for baby names?" Lay asked him, he went down the list of some ugly ass boy names. "Mm mm. What about M. A. C for initials?"
"Still can't have my Junior?" He asked sadly.
"I'm not giving my son a name that I used to moan. Mj would be cute though."
"How do we know it's a boy?" It was Keys turn to sit on the counter.
"I'm not sure but, oh shit! I forgot they ended up having to run blood tests to make sure I could fly home. They did a blood test for gender too. I think I should have the results by now." Lay completely forgot until now.
"Girl go get yo phone!" Key was almost as excited as she was. He had been calling it a boy this whole time but now? They had the opportunity to figure it out for certain.
She giggled before going to grab her phone from the couch.
Sweets 💗; hey baby. Checking in you and lil mama and baby bean. They said we're supposed to be in the clear by this weekend do you wanna take lil ma to the aquarium?
Chalynn ❤️: Let me check with w/ her father figure . We're doing good pooh. I miss you.
Lay viciously scrolled through her email until she found the blood results test and an ultrasound.
"Send that ultrasound to me." He looked over her shoulder. After air dropping it to him.
"She said it in a voice message." Lay bit her lip anxiously.
"Well play it!" Key urged flipping the steak over.
"Here goes nothing."

Can you guys guess his name?
Y'all surprised he publicized her pregnancy?
Do you think she's going to post it next? Or be upset that he posted?

But when an object of great and malevolent power promises to make good on all the promises the mages broke to him Mar is thrust into the world of magic. Mar will find that fate had something more than a life confined to the library planned for him after all. Authors Notes: I consider this to be a comming-of-age Sword and Sorcery story based mostly on the style of classic western fantasies. So if that's your thing then I encourage you to take a peek. Something I want to mention though is that the main character starts of pretty wimpy, and that might not be your thing. That being said, if you stick with him he's got a long way to grow. Also, while this version of the story is meant to be fully readable, more dicerning readers may want to wait until I move out of rough draft phase. There may be some inconsistancies with character and plot while I am still in the rough draft phase. I'm sorry for this, but this is my first web novel and from what I've read the best way to get a good novel out is to write write write, and then edit ruthlessly after you're finished with the book, so that's the plan I'm going to follow. Again, this is a rough draft. Everything you are reading is subject to change, including the name, title, and cover photo. This may no longer be the case once I've decided I know where this fiction is going and I have a reasonable understanding of the characters and their behavior. You're reading what comes off my keyboard as it's made, with very limited editing. There will be mistakes in the text. I do a quick spell check to take out the worst of the errors, but there will be some I miss. You can point them out in the comments if they are particularly confusing or glaring and I will try to fix them, however I am not overly concerned about minor errors as this is not the final draft by any means.
