Jane didn't think Edwards kind could possibly look more hideous. The abnormal perfect facial structures, the weird non blinking they did at times, or the disco ball effect they had in the sun. But as she saw Riley Biers eyes as he slowly approached them she knew she was wrong.

It wasn't just hideous it was unsettling and made her want to hide from his penetrative gaze. She found his intense stare even creepier then Jaspers..... almost.

Katy was at the surface ready to light the boy and his red headed partner up if they came at Jane. Although Jane couldn't see Victoria.... It was like she could feel her, she could feel her intense stare.

Jane couldn't help but wonder if Paul had seen it through Seth's eyes already and if he did what would he do? Jane needed him focused down there.

"Riley. Listen to me. Victoria is just using you to me... she knows I'll kill you." Edward says it calmly as Jane hides behind both Edward and Bella. Bella clinging to Edwards back making Jane want to scold her but she stayed quiet. Jane was scared to so much as speak in case the vampires snapped.

Jane didn't jump like Bella when Victoria suddenly landed on a tree branch however. Instead Katy began to heat Janes hands up as a sign she was near and ready to protect the body.

Edward seemed nervous seeing Victoria appear but he didn't take his eyes off them as he continued to speak. "In fact- she'll be glad that she doesn't have to deal with you anymore." At Edwards words Riley looked slightly complicated. Victoria tries to speak to Riley and pretend everything Edward was saying was a lie but Jane could tell the woman was back peddling.

Jane couldn't help but snort giving the woman a disbelieving look, which earned her a red eyed glare.

That's when Riley looked up his eyes scan the faces in front of him. He stops as he hits Janes face he takes a deep inhale before he looks to Edward who looks confused.

"What ever Victorias promised you- it's a lie.... If you want to keep Jane safe don't do this. She will kill her the second you help take me and Bella out." Edward says making Jane look at the vampire absolutely shocked. Why the hell would he want to protect her?

"You don't even recognize me... do you?" He suddenly asks making Jane feel like her throat clenched up. She had no clue who he was but he acted like she knew him.

"Jane- Riley went to Gotham for a bit.... The asylum." Edward explains making Jane think back on it before her eyes widen and she looks up at him.

"But- why would you do all this then- we were...." She wanted to say friends but she didn't like men at the time. She thought of their existence as a terrible thing for the human race. Riley had been there as a patient when he was younger briefly. He'd grown since then making Jane barely recognize him especially as he looked now.

"Jane- look I.... This isn't how I wanted to tell you okay?" He walks closer making Victoria move foot to foot anxious on what he was doing.

"I was really having a hard time adjusting and you were there for me.... Maybe you weren't trying to be but you told me how my mom and dad were shit. That what they did to me was shit. I told you owed you and this is me doing that. I'll protect you from this.... But- you gotta come with me." He says while sticking his pale hand out to her. He wasn't too close due to Edward being between them but Jane felt the air leave her lungs as she looked up at him with clenched jaw.

"I can't. I wish I could say it's not you it's me but its both me and you. I didn't even remember you until now, I hate men. The only man I can ever trust and love is fighting down that mountain for me. So I mean this sincerely..... fuck off." Jane spat bitterly making the male vampire slowly lower his hand.

An expression of hurt crosses his face before he goes stoic taking one more step forward staring Jane down. "Your dead." Riley says it calmly before a snarl comes to his lips and he goes to charge at the girl.

Before he could even take a second step Seth jumped out of no where and attacked Riley. The younger wolf shook him violently when the sound of glass shattering rang out before Riley lifted his arm up. His hand was missing, so he let out a pained yell that made Jane smirk.

And Victoria once again tried to flee making Jane want to call her a pussy but..... Edward beat her to it. But he used more proper words then straight up saying it.

"You won't get another chance like this again!" He calls and the red head stops tense she turns around and looks at the trio who stare at her. One in fear, one angry and Jane who watched Edward impressed.

"You want Bella and Jane because you want me and Bella to feel how you did. When I killed James, when I tore him to pieces, when I turned him into ash." Edward says walking closer to her as victoria begins shaking with anger a snarl on her lips.

"When I turned him into nothing." Edward says like it's nothing making Jane want to cheer him on for getting his big boy pants on and finally showing her he wasn't Bella's push over doll that did nothing but nope around. Although she did think he was wrong about Bella caring about her dying. That was far fetched.

Victorias eyes were closer to pitch black as she finally snapped and went running straight at Edward pushing him down through the snow with her. Jane felt her body step in front of Bella's her skin turning a light orange as Katy prepared to fight.

When Edward lost his grip on Victoria she crawled towards the two girls finally making Katy come out and send a fire ball at her which she dodged.

Before she could reach them Edward grabs her once again and flings her into a tree that she easily clings to. She looks back at the girls

It was like she had tunnel vision.

She started climbing higher in the tree trying to get a new vantage point of attacking. Edward immediately grabbed Bella pulling her away as Katy slowly followed behind watching their backs.

Her eyes once again went to Victoria as Edward pushed a tree down to try and get her to move. It worked but the red head gracefully landed in a kneeling position before once again charging at them. This time Katy fired two fire balls, one Victoria dodged and the other she didn't.

It didn't kill her but the fire definitely made her scream out getting even more angry at the painful sensation.

Edward once again was on her this time he had her pinned by her shoulders slamming her into the snow repeatedly. But unbeknownst to Katy Riley kicks Seth in the face when he was distracted and he approached the two girls from behind.

He could have killed Bella easily but- he didn't have his beef with her.

With all his force Riley kicks Katy's back making her hit a tree and for a god awful crunch to ring out.

Janes body went lifeless and limp making him believe he killed her so easily. Then his sights were set on Edward.

Katy's flames slowly went out leaving Jane a limp in the snow shallow breaths leaving her. Her body was fine it was like it never had been touched. But Katy....

The underground was going haywire as no one could get to the surface, even Jane was trying to get up there but something didn't feel right with the way the body had hit the tree.

"Where Katy!" Janes yells could be heard throughout the underground, there was no sign of the protective personality making Jane fall to her knees. It felt- painful.... Like she'd lost somethin..... or someone.

With Jane and Seth out for the count Riley pushed Edward off Victoria. Edward then began slamming Riley's head into the snow but it was now one vs two. As Edward goes to snap the younger vampires neck Victoria climbs onto him pulling him off. Edward in a choke hold could easily get his head snapped but he was fighting against it.

Bella digs through the snow finally finding something sharp she takes it and stands up. She cuts herself making Riley and Victoria hiss and look at her forgetting they were about to kill Edward.

With the distraction Edward head bunts Riley from behind making him fly back into a rock. As he hits Victoria sending her rolling through the snow Riley tried to attack him from behind once again. But Edward merely grabs him reading his thought and throws him. Once again Seth appears out of now here beginning to shake and bite the vampire.

Riley calls out to Victoria but she merely looks at him before focusing on Edward and Bella.

Seth drags Riley over the hill, and tears him apart piece my piece with his teeth. After he's done he runs over to Janes lifeless body and whimpers. He lays down on her trying to keep her warm. She mutters subconsciously still knocked out telling him to "Not ducking touch her." But Seth just whimpers more as the image is sent to Paul who whimpers himself.

In the end Edward came out victorious by biting the female vampires neck and ripping it out. She falls breaking and making Bella stare in relief. The villain was finally dead.

Edward burns the bodies and then rushed to Seth making the wolf lift off the girl who looked fine despite the terrible noise they all heard come from her.

"Come on- let's get down the hill. Alice says she will be awake by the time we get down there." Edward said it gruffly as he picks up janes body. Seth makes a bark noise as Paul yells for him to be the one to carry her down but Edward shakes his head. "Bring Bella, it'll be faster for them." Before Bella can protest Edward runs full speed down the hill to see his family burning the new born army. Paul was already shifted human running toward him and grabbing Jane who was waking up.

"Are you okay?" He asks in a panic making the girl nod mutely.

Katy was dead. It made Jane want to scream out in pain, she didn't know what to do with the body that had been left in the underground. They didn't exactly have cemeteries in there.

Paul could see something was wrong despite her trying to give him a confident happy smile it didn't meet her eyes.

"The wolves need to leave, the Volturi is on their way." Someone says making Jane look fearfully around. She wasn't scared of much but this bath robe wearing vampires gave her nightmares.

"Let's go." Paul says but Carlisle stops him, "They will want to see her Paul." He says making the wolf shake his head with a scowl on his face. He didn't know what the Volturi thought was coming about Jane turning. She didn't tell him yet, but- now she would have to.

Before he could ask why she needed too a new born entered the field his eyes going to Leah. Immediately she went running for him people yelled for her but it was too late. The new born put its arms around her but before it could do anything another wolf attacked it getting it off.

Jane had held her breathe with Leah but- this was Jacob. Despite him being an absolute prick Jane found herself screaming trying to run forward but Paul held her right to stop her.

All she could do was watch.... Watch a s the vampire crushed Jacobs bones. The boy fell in pain as someone finished the newborn off, Jane ran to Jacobs side. Her eyes avoided the fact he was nude she was panting feeling like she was son the brick of a panic attack. She already lost Katy she couldn't lose Jacob too.

"Jane." He says in a hoarse whisper as Paul pulls her away looking at Jacobs body. The wolves come in human form Leah already yelling at Jacob rather then thanking him.

"I'll be over to fix him but- you all need to go now." Carlisle says ina rush knowing the Volturi would start a war with the wolves.

Paul went to protest but an aloha command from Sam kept him in place looking at Jane pleadingly. He couldn't stay but she could willingly go with them. But the girl shook her head with grimace making him huff but leave.

A few moments later three black robes vampire's approached one of them the blonde Jane.

Jane coward behind the Cullens not wanting to feel Janes power in her Brian's again. They all spoke as Janes eyes trailed to something.... More like someone. Jane couldn't help but gasp out at the small red eyed vampire girl that stared at her.

The girl stared at Jane wide eyed, she could practically hear the girls blood pumping.

"You missed one." Blonde Jane says making Jane tense and look between her and the new born girl. Jasper moves next to the new born girl with his fighting experience he was ready to take the Volturi on.

"We offered her shelter in exchange for her surrender." Carslisle explains making Jane glance at the new born wearily. She kept staring Jane down.

"That wasn't yours to offer." Vampire Jane says in an eerily calm voice making Jane glare at her. "Why did you come?" Jane asks before using her power to torture the young vampire girl she hadn't even given her time to talk.

"Who created you?" Vampire Jane asks not easing up with her power as the girl scream bloody murder. Human Jane had to cover her ears unable to listen to the girls screams without having bad memories surface.

"You don't need to do that she will tell you anything you want to know ." Esme says with clear emotion for caring for the small vampire girl.

"I know." Vampire Jane finally says stopping and making the girl gasp for air that couldn't fill her corpse body.

"I don't know. Riley wouldn't tell us. He said our thoughts weren't safe." The girl pants heavily trying to get over the pain that had mostly subsided.

"Her name was Victoria perhaps you knew her." Edward says making Jane want to tell Edward he was being a real bad ass that day. But she didn't she but her tongue and watched as the Volturi didn't deny his claims.

"Edward. If the Volturi had knowledge of Victoria hey would have stopped her. Isn't that right Jane?" Carlisle says making human Jane look between him and the Volturi.

The silence after spoke loud enough for Jane to know they probably had known and done nothing. The Volturi wanted Edward and Alice's powers, and to see what Janes would be like as a vampire.

If Victoria's army had succeeded in killing Bella Aro would have more then likely forced Edward to join his forces.

"Of course." Vampire Jane finally says making Jane want to snort and roll her eyes at their terrible lying. For being so old you would think they'd be better at it by now.

"Felix." Jane says and immediately the big huff vampire goes to approach the newborn.

"She didn't know what's he was doing. We'll take responsibility for her." Esme says in a panic as her husband tries to back her up but it was too late. Jane made her decision and it was either the new born or the human girls at this point.

"The Volturi doesn't give second chances. Keep that in mind. Caius will be interested to know that they're both still human." Janes red eyes stare at human Jane making her glare wanting to say something but a nudge from Alice said it would end bad.

"The date is set." Bella says making Jane look at her in horror. Maybe a date was set for Bella but not Jane, and Paul would help ensure that.

"Take care if that Felix." Vampire Jane says making him go and finish the job. Jane didn't miss the fact she spoke of the newborn like she were nothing more then a thing.

Jane once again covers her ears as the big vampire breaks the young girl.

Her body was burned like the others the wolves and Cullens killed. And the Volturi left as quick as they came making shutter at their unnatural speed and swiftness.

"Come on. Let's go to Jacob." Carlisle says letting Jane slowly jump on his back, this action made her want to cuss him out but she wanted to see Paul and Jake.

The doctor ran to the Cullen house first getting his proper materials before getting his car knowing Jane would prefer that over riding on his back.

When the car pulled up in front of the familiar red trailer Jane felt her heart lurch into her throat as they exited hearing his scream of pain. Billy sat in the porch with Emily's hand on his shoulder for comfort making Jane grimace. Her eyes found Paul and she immediately rushed to his side hugging him.

"Can we uh- talk?" Jane mutters and the boy nods taking her a short distance from the house. They stand in the back yard looking at the sky that's already beginning to set. Paul's arm around her is tight happy she was alive, when he saw her limp body from Seth's point of view he nearly collapsed on the battle field.

"What happened up there?" He asks like he has no clue making Jane sigh telling him everything except about Katy but her eyes glazing over told him something bad had happened.

"What? What happened?" He asks and she finally looks at him and it comes out a harsh whisper. "Katy's dead. Riley he- be kicked her and she hit a tree and.... She's dead." Jane began crying into his arms it really felt like a big part of her was dead making Paul stare wide eyed at the tree line as held Jane to him.

Katy's sacrifice was to keep Jane safe it made his heart hurt to know that would have been Jane.

"Her station- it's cold and empty..... it was deep in the underground but I can feel it. It's like a holes been punched in there." Jane cries in pain it was physically hurting her to lose an important personality.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry I should have been there." Paul says through gritted teeth angry with himself but Jane didn't blame him. She blamed vampires.

She thought she hated men most in this world but it was now vampires, vampires like the Volturi. The ones that were cruel and heartless.

"Paul.... There's something else I have to tell you." Jane says it low letting him know it was something that would really upset him. "What is it babe?" He mumbled making her squeeze her eyes shut before pushing away from him and putting space between them.

She didn't know if he'd shift hearing the news but she didn't want to risk it.
