Nyx's pov

Sacrifices! Swords! Baby! Evil! Moon goddess! Helena! Powers! Fight! Resurrection! Clouds! My mind was a torrid cluster fuck as my eyes snapped open and I tried to lift myself from the ground which got me thinking about where I was and why I was laying in the snow.

I groaned widening my eyes to see that I was in the grounds of war and my confusion grew trying to know what the fuck was happening plus the weird dream I had about seeing some moon goddess was bizarre.

I felt my fingers gripping something and I looked down to see them grasping at a magnificent sword that looked like it could slay anything in sight. A scream wrenched my attention from the sword and I looked in the direction of where it came from.

A devastatingly handsome man was currently fighting with an old woman who looked like him and watching him fight was so attractive and...shit! That's my mate and I got to help! I remembered everything now and I leapt to my feet, grabbed my sword and began to run towards their direction.

"You killed my daughter!" Someone attacked me from the side pushing me to the ground, "I am going to kill you!" I looked to see a deranged Tracy, laya's mother trying really hard to deliver blows to my face but I was doing a good job of dodging her hits, how did she even get here and what the fuck is she doing here?

"Like mother like daughter!" I groaned pushing her off me before getting on my feet and she did the same. She brandished a knife before me and ran towards me, a scream coming from her with the dangerous glint of murder in her eyes but I swung my sword severing her head instantly, blood splattered all over as it came off rolling on the ground.

I didn't wait to see her body drop next to it, I turned instantly towards where I was headed but Alas! A lot of warriors were teaming towards me causing me a mini panic attack. I stood frozen in my spot as they moved to attack me.

What are you waiting for? Hera screamed, Attack!

I can't, I am scared and confused. Never seen so many warriors after me, I do not know what to do, My words came out rushed in a breath and I knew if I didn't move I was going to die.

"Nyx! Watch out!" I heard someone yell pushing me out of the way and I fell with my sword. It was Andros, he just saved me from being stabbed with a spear and now he was trying to fight them off alone. I stood up to my feet and directed my hands in an attempt to freeze them but inside fire came forth setting them all ablaze and their horrid howls tore through the air as they rolled in the snow for comfort.

"Are you okay?" I ran to him trying to inspect him, "Thank you."

"You should go help your mate." He nudged me ahead, "I will try to hold off here."

I replied with a nod and continued in the direction of Lycus and his mother. They were really going at it head to head. I tried reaching them slaying every wolf or creature that moved to attack me and soon I was there, "Fighting against your own mother is terrible, don't you think?!" She yelled at him as she held him to the ground.

"Let him go!" I screamed before bringing the sword down on her back cutting in deeper than I ever intended, blood began to flow and in an instant she let Lycus go. I went after her again and brought it down on her halting her first healing process and this time she screamed out in pain, pure pain which was the most satisfactory thing I had ever experienced or heard.

"Lycus get out of here!" I faced my mate, "Andros needs your help down there, they are going to kill him." He didn't fight me on this one, he only nodded, shifted into his wolf and sprinted off leaving me and his mother.

"You are pregnant!" Helena growled catching me off guard as she rose from the floor, her wounds completely healed and she seemed stronger, "You are carrying his child!" She fumed with anger, her fist clenched and her eyes burning through my soul.

"How did you know?" I asked trying hard not to voice my fear, she knowing that I was pregnant was unsettling, I was scared that she would harm my child, "How did you know Helena and what do you care?!"

"I know everything!" She screeched, "You can't be pregnant! I casted a spell of impotency on him, it should have worked! It worked on his father not giving me another child!" She looked like she was about to erupt in flames, "You are not supposed to have any offspring! I want your lineage gone!"

"Well, your son is very much virile, I can attest to that." I snorted, "You are an evil person Helena."

"I never claimed to be a good person!" She crossed her arms and immediately she was in the air throwing fire balls at me. I tried my best to dodge them as I made a bridge of ice to get to her, "You think you can get to me with that?!" She laughed her high pitched evil laughter causing me to bubble with irritation.

I threw my sword right at her for a distraction and ran up the ice bridge the quickest I could, I reached her, leapt through the air to grab her which turned out to be a success and then we came falling to the ground tumbling over sharp edged rocks and stones. Blows and powers being exchanged with the rocks injuring us and us healing in return.

"You are a fucking weakling Nyx!" She landed a blow to my head and I reeled back at the effect, "It will be easy taking you down!"

"It won't be that easy." I smirked extracting my claws, "You trained me, remember?" I dug them deep in her side tearing at her flesh and drawing blood.

"Ever wondered why I trained you?!" She crossed her arms creating a force field that pushed me off her and I landed against a rock hitting my body hard on it and I swear I could hear some of my bones crack.

Are you okay Nyx? Hera asked worriedly, You are doing a great Job please do not give up!

I am fine Hera, I assured her, Just try to keep the baby safe and make sure that my wounds heal.

"My being nice to you was a facade to lift suspicions off me which was bought with ease." She smiled coming closer to me and I saw black tentacles emerged from her, she wrapped the slimy things around me, lifted me up and began to tighten them enough to restrict my air cycle, "Training you to fight was the best."

"You trained me! Why?" I asked struggling against the tentacles wrapped around me and it was really hard to breathe and it felt like she was absorbing my energy.

"I am ever so cruel but fair Nyx. I didn't want you to go down without a fair fight." She smirked, "And do not think that me teaching you means you can beat me. It only means that I know how you fight and what your next move will be, making it easier to kill you!" She wrapped them tighter even though I thought that it was impossible.

"You will be the corpse here and I shall be victorious!" I yelled out as I used all my might to freeze the tentacles and then I melted them with my fire causing me to fall to the ground while she screamed in terror at them burning.

I grabbed my sword which happened to be near by before facing her again, "You shall be sorry for that!" She yelled twisting her arms and then she uprooted full grown trees with that move swinging them in my direction.

I was enraged, not only was she evil, she didn't bother about nature either. I used my power which I thought was irrelevant till now, I moved the trees back in place and brought them to life while still trying to ward off her attacks, "Oh, will you look at that." She mocked, "Miss mother nature!" She set the forest ablaze and I had to use my freezing power yet again. I bent over the floor and put my palms on it, freezing the part of the earth we were on stopping the fire before it could get any worse.

"Come down and fight me Helena." By this time I was sure her forces were all gone as Lycus and the rest of the warriors began to advance towards where I stood, they assembled themselves behind me and Lycus stood by my side, "Don't be a coward! Come down and fight!"

"The rest of you can back off before I slay you all!" She growled angrily, her voice echoing through out the forests, "Back off and submit to me!" They didn't budge at her words staking their loyalty to Lycus and I, my heart swelled with pride, "Since the lot of you want to be arrogant and fucking stupid, I hope you are friendly with bats! Carnivorous bats!" She laughed and we heard caws and then the skies were filled with the black winged creature swarming on us. We began to slay them trying hard not to let them sink their teeth in us, I did what I could do to help and rushed out of there in search of Helena.

"Are you looking for me?" She asked and I raised my head up to trace the voice but I couldn't see her anywhere, "Let's play a game shall we? It will be easy to find me but hard to, you just have to use your brains and while trying to find me you must ward off my attacks! Fun isn't it?" She cackled and what happened next was new and unexpected which made me know that she had the power of self replication.

A thousand Helena's stood around me bearing exactly her features and just one was real, I needed to find that one amongst them all and just then fire balls and tree stomps and full grown trees with roots flew from all directions and were aimed towards me. As I tried to find the real Helena, I also tried to avoid getting hit.

I was dripping with sweat, my anxiety and frustration heightened and I was near tears as I tried to find her, with each swipe of my sword across the wrong one, it vanished, "This is quite an enjoyable game Nyx!"

"You are not playing fair!" I yelled out swiping my sword across another wrong one and I let out a scream, "Show yourself, let's finish this!"

"You are right!" She giggled, "I never play fair." And the moment that followed after her words was one i would never recover from but then I guess I talked too soon.

"Nyx, watch out!" I heard Andros yell in my direction as he flayed his arms and ran towards me.

His hands flung me out of the way making him take what was coming for me.

Right before my very eyes, a huge tree with pointed roots went right through him pinning him against another huge rock taking his life instantly. My mouth fell open as I saw the way the roots went through him. I couldn't scream, I couldn't scream.

Tears welled in my eyes as his head hung low with blood flowing from either side of the corners of his mouth, that was not the only place he bled. He bled from his heart, right where one of the roots had Pierced through him and he had begun to turn ashen.

"Andros!" I yelled running towards him finally finding my voice, my trembling hands gripped his unmoving face, "Andros!" I screamed willing him to answer me. He bled more unheeding as I cried his name, his skin was turning cold underneath my finger tips and he didn't even utter a word. His eyes were closed, his mouth unmoving and he bled, he was lifeless before me, he was gone.

My friend was dead, Andros was dead and he died for me.
