Nyx's pov

"Lycus." I called watching as his head slumped forward, his hands hanging limp in the cuffs and the heaving of his chest coming to a stop, "Lycus." I whispered again but there was no answer, no noise, the only noise was the padding of feet as Helena's warriors left the room, "Lycus." I screamed this time writhing in my cuffs trying to pull myself to get to my mate even though i knew it was impossible, "Lycus, please do not do this to me!" I screamed with tears running down my cheeks, "I will fucking kill you if you die on me!" At this point i wasn't even making sense anymore and I didn't care, i just wanted my mate to live , to live for me, i would gladly take his place right now.

"Spyro!" I yelled at Lycus's wolf that laid on the ground like a dead dog, "Spyro! Wake up! Hera needs you!" I screamed at his lifeless form as I cried harder.

I can't feel him Nyx! Hera yelled, I can't feel my mate! She joined me in crying as we wailed at our sorrows.

"Is daddy dead?" Amara asked between sniffs, "Why is daddy not talking? Has he gone to join grandma?" She asked referring to my mother, "I want to go with him too, maybe no one will put me in a cage there, right?"

I wept at her words having no answers for her, my little child had seen enough torment and torture at her age and I could do absolutely nothing to protect her. I pulled violently at the cuffs bruising my wrists in the process as I tried to free myself. I tried hard and cried harder but all was to no avail. My gaze travelled to Lycus again and he looked more dead this time, I wish I hadn't looked.

He was pale, hanging on his weight, blatantly limp, blood from the knife cuts still ran down his body and from my observation he was as good as dead but I knew he wasn't, If not I would have felt the unbearable pain. I looked back at spyro, his fur which was of a black that shone brightly was now dull and his paws were unmoving and then I looked back at my daughter. Her tiny fingers holding the cage bars with her head poked through them, tears running down her cheeks and her eyes dull of whatever sparkle that remained, i broke down anew, Hera howled and silently prayed to the moon goddess to get me out of this state.

Time passed and Helena still hadn't returned with her henchmen and it was getting me a bit galled. Not being able to see her to spew curses and threats at was unsettling. My mate was still in a state of Limbo and Amara hadn't stopped her crying. I couldn't blame her, a poor six year old going through all these was deemed to be disturbed for a lifetime which I hoped she wouldn't.

I hung limp just like Lycus did only that I was breathing and he was not. A sound tore me from my thoughts and I raised my head trying to detect the movement and know where the sound came from. The sound came again and this time a cool breeze blew and the people in the room looked more like status than they had been before and i was sure the wind must have frozen them but where the hell did it come from?

I heard the noise again snapping my head in it's direction and from the corner of one of the stone walls emerged Andros much to my delight and shock, "Andros!" I yelled in excitement and he looked up at me, "Andros, I am so g…"

"Shhh." He placed his fingers on his lips willing me to keep shut, "They will hear you." He mouthed as he tiptoed into the room. Another person followed and I squinted trying to know whom it was and much to my anger it was Fay. I growled loudly rattling the metal cuffs as she strode behind Andros.

"What is she doing here?" I gritted glaring at Andros who was coming closer to me and Fay, "What the fuck is she doing here?"

"She's here to help." Andros sighed, "We need to get you out of these chains and get out of here before they return, the distraction we created might not hold off for long." He pleaded with me and after some amount of protests, I agreed and Fay ascended.

I glared at her as we were suspended at the same level. She failed to meet my gaze, she only focused on melting the chains with her magic while Andros tried to free Amara from the cage.

The chains finally gave way after sometime, I fell to the ground enjoying the freedom of my hands but my burnt feet hurt badly, I doubt I could stand on them. I looked around the room, the unmoving people still in place. It was a wonder why they hadn't attacked us but then I realised that Fay must have frozen them with that gush of wind.

"I believe we have a score to settle." I grinned at Fay as she descended down to where I stood.

"What ever are you talking about Nyx?" She smiled grimly as I cracked my fist, "You should know that I am truly sorry and I…" I cut off her words with a punch to throat and definitely crushing her windpipe. I watched as she flew a few paces due to the impact of my hit. I didn't know where that energy came from but I sure loved it.

"We do not have time for this Nyx." I heard Andros scream as I rushed towards Fay punching her in the gut which sent her to the ground again, "I get that you are aggrieved but that is in the past!"

"You are lucky that I do not have my powers!" I growled at her, "Would have given you a more deserving come back!"

"Nyx, I am so sorry." She cried as I held her down to the ground, "Accept my help as an apology please…"

"What if I do not want to?" I grinned, an evil grin which did it's job of making her cower, "You deserve to die!"

"You need my help." She said and it was partly true knowing that Helena was a powerful witch and a even more powerful Hybrid. I needed one on my side too, "Please let me help you."

I didn't give her a reply, I just stood up and stared down at her trying to see if I could detect some ingenuity.

"Mummy." Amara cried running towards me, I pulled my attention away from Fay and turned to engulf my little girl on a hug. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I experienced feeling the warmth of her in my arms again. I could feel her own tears wetting my clothes and guilt ladened in me. I had been a bad mother ever since we fled from Titan. I rarely took her into consideration anytime I was about to make my rash decisions and it was all my fault that she was in danger, "I miss you mommy." She sniffed clutching tighter to me, "Fluffy missed you too, why did you leave me? I made a new friend at the vampire's, I like his blonde hair just like your hair and mine and he is missing a tooth just like me." She rambled on and on which caused me to chuckle. I had missed her so much and I was going to try making it up to her and try my best to be a better mother, the best even cause she deserved nothing less. I also made a mental note to give her a lecture on vampires.

"Did they hurt you?" I asked pulling her away from me, "Are you okay?" I inspected her for bruises but there were none apart from the ones inflicted by Helena and Willow.

"They were nice mommy." She smiled, "My new friend gave me a flower but I lost it." She pouted with sad eyes and I smoothed her hair.

"It's fine." I kissed her forehead, "Mummy will get you another."

"That is enough bonding Nyx." Andros walked closer to us, "We have to leave."

"Oh Andros!" I stood up and drew him in a hug, "I am so sorry, I know everything now and…"

"Shh…" He hugged me tighter, "It's okay Nyx." A loud whine was heard and it came from the direction of spyro.

"My mate." I gasped feeling really terrible and in an instant I was by Lycus's side. Andros and Fay moved Spyro really close to him as we began to wonder what to do about our current predicament.

"Lycus." I laid my face on his as I tried pulling his huge form closer to me. We had him free of his cuffs now, he was still limp and another sound never came from Spyro, "I need you to wake up for me." My fingers trailed his face, "Please." I pleaded dropping a kiss on his forehead, his nose and then his lips. His skin felt cold, his lips colder but I knew he wasn't dead if not I would have felt the pain, "Lycus…" I whispered again threading his lifeless fingers with mine.

"Is daddy going to be awake?" Amara cried peering down at him, "Has he gone to meet grandma? I didn't tell him about my new friend or my flower, he shouldn't go yet." Tears fell from me at her words, Andros and Fay just watched in silence, "Cora misses daddy spyro."

"Lycus, please we need you." I cried out this time holding him tighter, "Don't do this to us." I muttered against his face, his scruffy beard scratching my face. I couldn't even feel the sparks.

I still can't feel Spyro, Hera howled sadly. She had been trying to communicate with him but it was all to no avail.

"Nyx." Andros whispered placing a hand on mine and almost immediately, Spyro whined.

"Do that again." Fay requested staring at us.

"This?" Andros asked placing a hand on mine again, Spyro whined, Lycus grunted.

My heart leapt with joy hearing a sound escape from Lycus's lips, "I think the physical connection between you and Andros would help."

"How so?" I asked curiously and she went on to explain that it elicited possessive emotions from both him and his wolf which prompted reactions from them, "So we should continue?"

"Yea." She nodded.

"I do not think Lycus would like this when he awakens." Andros shook his head and Fay frowned at him.

"It's his life we are talking about here, now, do it!!" She said sternly and Almost immediately Andros and I began to touch hands and it progressed to hugs. With each level we took, the groans and grunts from both man and wolf grew stronger.

"This should do it." Andros sighed and then he smashed his lips on mine, I leaned into the kiss. Fay had gasped and closed Amara's eyes immediately Andros moved towards me. Our lips synced with each other and all the time I had to think of Lycus to pull through. The kiss got deeper, our tongues glided against each other and before each could go deeper, three things happened.

A growl. A grunt. A fierce force that pulled us apart.

"It worked!" Fay squealed as I struggled up to my feet. I opened my eyes and saw what I had always wanted before me. Spyro and Lycus were joined, Lycus had given spyro control and he stood before us with a snarl directed at Andros who was few paces away from me.

"Spyro, I missed you." I blurted out and he growled at me, "There is an explanation for what happened."

"Save it!" He leapt over me and pounced on Andros who had begun to plead for his life immediately, "No one touches what is mine."

let me calm him, Hera pleaded and I gave her control immediately. She rushed to his side and rubbed her fur against him. She purred. He grunted.

"Step away Hera." He growled, "I will deal with you later!"

"Nope." She rubbed at his snout and this time he leaned into her touch. I could feel the sparks of the mate bond again and I could feel it strengthening, "I miss you my king."

"I missed you more my Queen." He rubbed at her neck and licked at his mark on her, Andros used the opportunity to slither away. Hera and Spyro continued the bonding, repairing our bond which I broke and soon enough they gave us back control.

"Hermosa." Lycus breathed capturing me in his arms immediately as soon as we shifted, "I am so glad to have found you and I am sorry that my m…"

"It's okay Lycus." I squealed tightening my arms around him being careful not to crush his healing wounds, "I am sorry I left. It was so stupid of me."

"I was the stupid one for telling you that." He kissed my forehead, "promise me that you would never leave again."

"I promise." I sniffed threading my arms around his neck as he kissed at my mark, we stayed in that position for long and it was broken by a tug at Lycus's clothing.

"Daddy." Amara screamed and he let go off me to pick her up. His big arms were wrapped around her as he littered kisses on her face, "I missed you."

"Not as much I did." He murmured clutching onto her that like she would be snatched away from him any moment from now, "Come here." I beckoned at me wrapping his arm around me, bringing me closer. The three of us enwrapped in a big bear hug, "This will be over soon, i promise." He breathed, "And we will be free and happy." We both nodded at him, our arms around each other and for a moment our fears and troubles gone.

"That's enough family time." Andros groaned walking up to us, "We need to leave."

"We have wasted enough time." Fay added as she walked towards us too.

"Okay." Lycus said pulling away from us, "Thank you Andros." He said nodding at Andros which took all of us by surprise.

"Ah! I always knew you had a soft spot for me." He winked bumping Lycus in the shoulder.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves now." Lycus said and we all giggled and Even Amara did without knowing what we were talking of, "I still owe you a punch for kissing what's mine."

"Shall we?" Fay asked not waiting for Andros to react and we all nodded. We fixed ourselves and set out of the room in a bid to navigate through the ruins and get out on time.

Hopefully we are successful, I prayed, Hopefully.
