Ava woke up from her long rest, she remembered after dinner they headed back to the suite and took their rest, Ava looked around the room and she was in Beatrice's room. She chuckled to herself when she remembered that the rain poured hard last night and Ava was scared of the sound of the thunder and Beatrice doesn't like the dark so she went to her room and sleep on the bed with Beatrice. The two were cuddling on the bed only to wake up the next morning with Beatrice missing beside her. She looked over to her bedside table and saw a small note beside her phone. She picked it up and read the note.

'I'll see you at lunch. I moved the lunch meeting to morning breakfast.'

Ava smiled and traced the little emoji Beatrice had to write beside the words. She finds it very sweet of the older girl to leave a note for her so she wouldn't be disappointed when she woke up, she felt more energetic and wants to eat some breakfast, she wonders if Beatrice would allow her to order room service, she grabbed her phone and texted Beatrice right away to ask for room service. As soon as Ava set her phone down, she received a message right away, Ava checked her phone and saw Beatrice's message "Yes".

Ava: You're in a meeting, right?

Beatrice: Yes, I am in a meeting right now. Mom and dad were looking for you and I told them you would be seeing them at the party in the mansion.

Ava: Oh, okay. Where can I call the room service? I mean I know I have to use the telephone but, what number do I press to call the lobby?

Beatrice: I'll just tell Mario to come to you and give you the menu for anything you like, Ava. Would like that, hm?

Ava received the text and she couldn't help but smile like a little girl with her feet dangling over the mattress, she caught herself smiling like a crazy person and cleared her throat before she sent the text was typing down.

Ava: That would be great, more choices for me.

Beatrice: Don't worry about paying anything, I got it all. Just get what you want.

Ava bit her lip as she sent one emoji of her expression would be since she knew she could get anything from the room service, suddenly she heard a doorbell ringing. She was surprised that in this place, they have a doorbell to ring instead of knocking on the door. She approached the door and saw a small screen beside the door, how come she had never seen this yesterday when they came in, she saw Mario standing outside the door with a small tablet in his hand and standing in his professional pose while holding the tablet.

She unlocked the door and opened the door, Mario smiled at her and greeted her good morning while handing her the tablet. She stared at the menu and decided on what she wanted to have today, she chose waffles with one scoop of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup, a cappuccino and bacon, and eggs. She knew to herself that she is a big eater, after pressing the food on the tablet she gave it back the tablet to Mario who suddenly handed her a bouquet of flowers which shocked Ava.

"Ms. Hansen instructed me to deliver it to you personally." Mario spoke. Ava smiled like there was no tomorrow, she sweetly accepted the flowers and thank Mario.

"Thank you, Mario." Ava replied politely.

"Forty-five minutes for your food, Ms. Silva. We will be bringing it up shortly." Mario said.

Ava thank him again and close the door and lock it, Ava looked at the flowers and smelled them. The smell of flowers gives her a new joy because the flowers she received were pink roses, she smelled and smiled at the thought of Beatrice showing her soft affection to her by giving her the pink roses, and she immediately grab her phone and texted Beatrice.

Ava: Such a sweet gentle(woman), Ms. Hansen.

Beatrice: I am just showing you a simple gesture, Ms. Silva.

Ava: Your gesture is very much appreciated. When will I be able to see you or do I need to make an appointment?

Beatrice: It depends on how important it is, if it is nothing special then set an appointment. If it is, I'll come urgently.

Ava: Hmm... You are giving me thoughts. How would you like to give me a tour around Amsterdam? Places you really love to visit around here.

Beatrice: You are my guest so it would be rude of me to decline that offer.

Ava: HAHAHAHA! I love how you could put up with this.

Beatrice: I am beyond bored and tired from these crazy conversations because they all talk at the same time. It's bloody annoying.

Ava: Come home to me, I'll give you a big hug!

Beatrice: I'm coming home in a bit. Better be ready, we'll go somewhere.

Ava: I love surprises, you know me very well.

Beatrice: since we were young, Ava. I know.

Ava was giggling and smiling while going through her phone while her other free hand was holding the bouquet of pink roses, she felt warm and happy for receiving it because she only received a rose from JC when it was their third date. She took her phone and took pictures of it to post on her Instagram story, she posted it to her only friends on the social media platform. She captioned it with the sweetest thank you and posted it.

The food came as expected, forty-five minutes was the perfect time of making all of these and to be delivered before Ava felt the hunger to happen, she felt a little lonely for eating alone without Beatrice, so she texted Beatrice on her phone after sending the picture and telling her that she misses the older girl and wanted to eat with her instead. Ava started eating while watching the television, she was engaged in watching the show because it was a famous show called "The Warrior Nun".

While eating her phone started buzzing and it was text messages from Beatrice.

Beatrice: Well, there's television. You can watch any show on different channels.

Ava: Still boring without you. What time are you coming back?

Beatrice: You're adorable but I won't be able to come home yet. Maybe around four in the afternoon.

Ava: Boohoo! I want to do something but I really don't want to go out without you. I feel like getting lost inside a candy store.

Beatrice: Hmm... How about this? Get a piece of paper in my office, there's a pen on the desk and pieces of paper placed on the table, take it. You can use the laptop that I left in the office, the password is 071097. I want you to research tourist spots around Amsterdam and then list down the places you want to visit. Top 3, I'm all yours for the next few days.

Ava: Did you just use my birthday as your password?

Beatrice: Quit dreaming, do as I say.

Ava: Yes, ma'am! Right away now.

Beatrice: Shush! Never address me as ma'am.

Ava: What would like me to call you then? Ms. Hansen?

Beatrice: No, Ava.

Ava: Babe?

Beatrice: If you don't do what I told you to do, I will make sure I am filled with duties for the next six days.

Ava: meanie!

Ava placed down her phone and grabbed a napkin to clean her mouth before standing up and heading to Beatrice's office, as expected it was neat and clean, everything was organized and she found the notepads and pen resting near the MacBook. She took it and headed back to the other room and sat down, she opened the laptop and set down the notepad and pen on the side, and waited for everything to be settled down. She took a quick picture to send to Beatrice and the moment she placed down her phone, her phone buzzed right away to see Beatrice sending her a text. "Good girl"

She felt her cheeks burning, it may sound cringy somehow but Beatrice telling her that gave off different energy and it was confusing somehow, she shrugged it off and started to open the browser and look for whatever she found on the internet. While eating, she was just listing down the places she was so curious about and wanted to visit with Beatrice, three days seems short but her sister and the rest would be coming here.

The party is about to happen on Friday, today is Monday and three days before everything else and Ava wanted to spend time with Beatrice because this is her only chance to get closer to the older girl, in the university Beatrice acts differently and sometimes it is hard to read her body language and to know what she was thinking but now it will be her chance to do so. Ava spent the rest of the hours researching and asking for room service to pick up the used plates and then took a warm shower before going back to her research again.

Until the clock strikes two in the afternoon, Ava didn't receive any new texts from Beatrice and she knew that Beatrice might have been so occupied with everything, she may be still in her college but her level is unmatched. She is busy in and out of school, she is an important person as well. Ava could imagine the tiredness from all of that and the loneliness throughout these years. Ava did the same routines while inside the place and waited for any texts from Beatrice, she received none. She had a call with Camila earlier along with Luna and Clara who were with them earlier in the office, Clara also told her about Danielle suddenly disappearing from the hospital after her parents came to visit.

The clock strikes four in the afternoon and she was excited to see Beatrice come home, Ava unintentionally found herself dressing up in her casual but occasional-looking clothes and she doesn't even know why she is preparing for her best friend to come home. Ava was impatient maybe because she was stuck inside the suite but it was just one day and that was today, Ava then heard the doorbell ringing and she happily approached the door and saw Mario standing outside. Ava was confused as to why Mario came back. She unlocked the door and Mario was standing there in front of her with a single red rose in a large black envelope.

"Ms. Silva, we are ordered to escort you to your destination. Ms. Hansen would love to give this to you." He handed the red rose and the envelope while Ava smiled. She opened the envelope and saw it was an invitation, I could see the main event was about Beatrice introducing herself to the people that knew her of course.

She saw another piece of paper inside the envelope, she saw the writings of Beatrice saying. Wear your best and I'll see you at the ball, it was a private party for people who know people and Beatrice wanted her to come to that ball and she is waiting for her. She felt her heart racing as she started imagining the place, is it royalty? Is it fashionable? She immediately changed her dress and applied a few touches to her face.

She noticed Mario was still outside of the suite, she opened the door and Mario attentively waited for Ava to leave the suite. He smiled and offered his arm and Ava gladly took the offer. They made it down to the lobby where Mario led Ava to the limousine that was waiting in front of the hotel. Ava felt like a superstar or a princess being treated with care and love. Mario opened the door for her and let Ava hop in.

"Enjoy the ride, Ms. Silva. She will be waiting for you at the event, she insisted that you will be her partner for the entrance upon walking in." Mario spoke and smiled at Ava who just nodded and smiled. Mario closed the door and the limousine started moving, she could feel her heart beating against her chest and ringing in her ears. She doesn't know where she is going, but the feeling of seeing Beatrice somewhere else is the only thing she has in mind.

Being far away from her best friend made her feel less whole at the moment, she received a text message from Beatrice, and she read the message slowly as she saw it was an instruction, Ava couldn't help but chuckle and roll her eyes just as she continues reading the text message. The ball was a masquerade theme and there was a dark gray box with a black ribbon tied neatly together, Ava didn't notice the gift beside her but now she did.

Beatrice: Wear the mask as soon as you get here.

The ride was silent but Ava was already panicking in her head, she doesn't know what to expect but she was only focused on seeing Beatrice again, she was excited and at the same time curious but scared. Beatrice pulling something like this for the first time makes her crazy because she doesn't know what is running through her best friend's mind but she wanted to see where this goes like an adventurous person.

Her phone buzzed and saw a notification of the following news she was following because she follows the news just to be aware of what's really going on out there, she saw an article with a picture of Beatrice Hansen and an unfamiliar man they were sitting in a cafe and having a conversation, Ava felt her cheeks burning hot. She felt jealous, that was the first term that came to her mind, she didn't like the headline and now she found herself texting Beatrice about it.

Ava: Found a new date, huh?

Beatrice: Don't be a little jealous, you're my real date.

Ava giggled and shook her head, she loves this Beatrice teasing and making funny jokes which made her giggle, she texted the older girl back in teasing her. She likes to play games and Beatrice goes along with her gimmicks even if she doesn't show any such emotions, Ava finds it cute.

Ava: Oh, so that's how you wanna play it? Hmm, don't chicken out.

Beatrice: I never 'chicken out' Ava.

Ava: We'll see about that.

The limousine finally came to halt and Ava's attention was brought to the big tall building that they stopped by but her eyes landed on someone who outshine the rest of the people around the building, the only person that immediately caught her eyes the moment she turned her head and saw the building. There she is, the woman she had been waiting for to come home but because of her status in life.

The driver opened the door for her and offered his hand to her, just as she was about to take it Beatrice came and held out her hand instead, the driver gave Beatrice a nod before Ava finally got out of the limousine. Beatrice gave a small smile and looked at her up and down, Ava felt herself nervous at the sudden action of the older girl.

"What?" Ava asked. Beatrice chuckled softly.

"You look gorgeous." Beatrice complimented.

"You look stunning in that dress, black is still your favorite shade." Ava replied and smiled at Beatrice. Beatrice gave Ava a hug and whispered something in her ear.

"Don't forget to smile, everyone's watching..." Beatrice whispered to Ava's ear and gently left a soft kiss on Ava's cheek before leading her inside the venue. Ava saw the large and beautiful chandelier and the red carpet that everyone is walking on as they followed it to the next side of the building.

With the elegance of the place, she could see and imagine the life of Beatrice a few years from now, Beatrice placed her hand and arm around Ava's waist and pulled her a little closer while they were walking and Ava could feel her throat going dry. But what she didn't know, was Beatrice was also nervous about making such a bold move, they finally entered the main hall where the main event is being held.

"They will be awarding me as a young apprentice tonight, defeating the oldies." Beatrice spoke.

"Bea! Shh... Don't say that." Ava replied, giggling at her best friend's comment.

"I'm kidding, I couldn't believe it myself though. Winning an award when I am not even starting yet is such a compliment." Beatrice said.

"Maybe they recognized the hard work you've been doing while you were studying." Ava commented and smiled at Beatrice, Beatrice gazed at her and their eyes met a few seconds before they look away. Beatrice was wearing half part of the mask while Ava wore the mask covering her eyes.

"You know how to compliment me in such times." Beatrice said.

"And you know how to treat me like I'm your girlfriend." Ava replied.

"I just know how to properly treat my woman right." Beatrice said.

"I can see that, so tonight I am your woman." Ava replied, staring at Beatrice who did not answer but kept her attention in front, Ava smirked as they continue walking. Beatrice led Ava to the other side where they headed upstairs, going far away from the crowd, Ava watched Beatrice open the door and let her in. Ava entered the room where she could see everyone downstairs.

"Would like you anything, Ms. Hansen?" A waiter asked as soon as they entered the room.

"Can I have a bottle of Bruichladdich and some ice? And a cocktail." Beatrice replied.

"Hey! I would like some of that alcohol you requested." Ava complained.

"Can you handle such high alcohol content, Ava? You're a lightweight." Beatrice said.

"You'll take care of me anyway, right?" Ava asked, teasingly raising her eyebrow at the older girl before she faced the waiter.

"Please bring whatever she ordered. I'll have the same." Ava said to the waiter and smiled at Beatrice. Ava looked over to the crowd while Beatrice checked her phone as she sat down on the couch and waited for their drink.

"The party will start soon, I'm setting up a food delivery because they didn't arrange any dinner for tonight, just appetizers, finger foods, and alcohol. I know you get cranky a little bit when you get hungry." Beatrice said.

"Ouch!" Ava spoke, looking over to Beatrice who took off her mask and grab the eyeglasses inside her pouch. After punching a few numbers and all, Beatrice finally put her phone down and looked at the woman who is standing in front of her, Beatrice couldn't help but check Ava out. Ava was wearing a tight dress, hugging her body, and showing off her curves.

Beatrice pulled herself from checking Ava out and instead, she stood up and stood behind the younger girl before she wrapped her arms around the younger girl's waist. She could smell her, the smell she could never forget even when they were young, it was intoxicating and addicting, she closed her eyes and rest her chin near Ava's neck, Ava let out a soft hummed and held Beatrice's hands.

"I thought I would be sleeping tonight without seeing you coming home." Ava spoke.

"I'm sorry. After the breakfast meeting, I had to meet other people because of my parents' requests. Did you do what I told you to do?" Beatrice said.

"Yes, ma'am. I did, I was a good girl, wasn't I?" Ava replied.

"Of course, you are a good girl..." Beatrice whispered after giggling softly. Beatrice's heart was beating fast but she felt so needy of Ava's presence and her being close to her made her feel relaxed, while Ava, on the other hand, had her heart beating loudly against her chest. Beatrice's touch made her feel something strange and it was a good kind of strange.

The two suddenly separated from each other when they heard a knock on the door and swung open. The waiter finally came with their drinks and the two started pouring themselves some drinks.

"Not too much, Ava. We got plans tomorrow, remember?" Beatrice reminded Ava.

"Yes, mommy! I won't drink too much." Ava replied, rolling her eyes.

The two had drinks and were talking about how things used to be before and that Beatrice need to focus on chasing her parents' dream, especially her mother's because she will be leading everything that will be left under her name. Beatrice was talking so much that Ava was lost in her own thoughts, she could never believe how beautiful Beatrice was, and how attractive she is when she talks something she is passionate about.
