《Judah Judas Adventures》Chapter 25 - Getting along

On the next day, Fiona, Big Gus, and Emily arrived at the place we have to stay one week and to keep watch if an enemy comes there or even worse, a civilian who got lost. When all three of us arrived at the base, we have seen something kinda unique because the place we are going to stay is not a house that could fall at any second. The place we are going to stay is something called bunker if I have to take Emily's words. When we entered the bunker, we have seen there six beds, a few boxes with supplies, and even some weapons that are putting in an open cabinet, which contains a few words, staff, and even a bow with eighteen arrows. We entered the bunker and everyone has taken their bed, Fiona took the first bed, the one who is much closer to the door, Big Gus has taken the fourth bed, Emily has taken the third bed and I have taken the second bed.
When I put my things into a bed, I say to everyone from here.
"I am sorry for what I did."
"Don't worry, Judah," says Fiona. "It could happen to anyone, you know?"
"I know. But it was my fault I left you. A squire has the job to follow the knight he is working with."
"Don't sweat it, kid," says Big Gus to me. "In fact, it is a good thing we are here, right?"
"A good thing?" asked Fiona to the guy named Big Gus. "Others sacrifices their lives on the battlefield and we stay here to wait for enemies to come which they probably won't because they don't care about a forest."
"Who told you they will not come here?" ask Emily being interested in Fiona's response.
I looked at Fiona and I swear she expected a question like that from somebody, but she did not expect from Emily, who is one of my blood relatives.

"I have heard the general talking to his tent with a few high ranked knights about the impossibility for them to take the forest but to a possibility to navigate into the river," says Fiona making Big Gus, Emily, and even me curious how she did know that.
"How did you know that?" asked Big Gus looking at Fiona.
"Yeah... about that," I say to everyone. "Last night, Fiona and I were going to hanging and I used an invisibility spell on her to successfully catch some food. And the spell was one who has a big effect time." After that, I look at Fiona and I say to her: "I am sorry for what I did."
"Don't be," says Fiona to me while she head pat me like I was some kind of dog. "You did a nice job."
"Yeah... The fact that you could create some spells that not even at my level is crazy," says Emily to me, and later she looks at Fiona. "Oh, sorry. You probably don't know us, right?"
"Not even the brightest idea," says Fiona to Emily. "But the tough guy I knew him very well."
"Really?" asked the Big Gus getting off from his bed. "How come?"
"You remember the night where the building called "Furnic's Tavern" was on fire and there was renamed "Misu's Tavern"? "
"Oh yeah, I knew it. You were there and helping me out to take people in the building outside. Hell, I can not believe you can transform into a vewolf back in the day, even though you were fourteen years old and you were still in your first year as a knight."
"You pretty much remembered, but right now, I can still control that vewolf, but just a part of it. That time I was so close to losing control because back in the day I couldn't control the full form."
"Now you can?" ask Emily to Fiona.

"Well..." says Fiona feeling like a scientist who he told the whole world that he would make a colossal discovery in the next week, but when asked a week later if he had discovered anything, he replied feeling very embarrassed that he had failed and was embarrassed. "I cannot, but I can assume, the changing parts of my body are good enough for the fighting."
"Even though you are carrying a giant sword everywhere," says Big Gus to Fiona, which makes her feel kinda embarrassed for picking that topic earlier.
After a few seconds, we all sat in the bunker in silence and watching the area, even if the possibility of an enemy arriving here is quite small. Fiona sits in her bed and polishes parts of her armour on her feet with a cloth she always carries. Emily came out of the bunker to check the area, and Big Gus was in his bed sleeping and snoring. Big Gus snored so hard that I found it hard to believe that the man was really a blood relative of mine because I didn't snore when I slept or scratch my ass. It seems that relatives can also be strange. When I was at the Orphanage, I never thought about what it was like to have other family members, I always thought that a big family is made up of a father, a mother and possibly a child or more. While Fiona was polishing her armour, I ask her if I can go outside, and she jokingly tells me to be careful what explosions I make. That's why I decided to have their wand with me and remember to use that spell I used on the rat a few days ago. I come out of the bunker, and outside I see Emily, who is in the position where my fat friend dressed in an orange robe sat while we were transported in the carriage.
"Um... Emily?" I asked her while she is posing in that weird position.
"What is it, Judah?" asked Emily while she is still posing in that weird position.
"What are you doing?"
"Meditation to recharge my mana."
"Oh. I see."
Judah decides to leave her meditating in peace, but before I was about to take another step, Emily asked me if he wanted to let me join in her meditating process. Honestly, I wouldn't mind because I probably need to recharge my mana. Who knows when danger could appear and I needed full mana storage. I am sitting right to Emily, I am sitting in that weird position, and after I have done that, Emily explained to me how does this work while she keeps her eyes closed.
"All you have to is just thinking about a place which you truly love and it let you feel relaxed. Think about, for an example, In a desert meadow, where no one bothers you, there is no human being, monster or man-monster, just the pleasant breeze of the summer wind and the fresh air."
"Alright. I will try it." I say after I close my eyes and thinking about a place like this.
In my mind, I was in a beautiful meadow. With beautiful trees, grass that makes you feel good on your bare feet, a pleasant breeze of a summer wind, and the most beautiful, were the clouds. I lie on my back, look at the clouds for a few moments, then start watching some clouds take on different shapes, for example, one of them looks like a sheep. The second cloud I saw is like a horse being ridden by an adventurer. The third cloud I see with my blue eyes is of a more strange shape, that cloud resembles the map of the Kingdom of Romania, and the fourth cloud, which approaches the third, most likely resembles a Minotaur. What connection would all this have? I have no idea, but I don't care either.

Horizon
Emiluna is about to turn 16 and gain access to her first two classes. Living in a small village in the middle of nowhere, she always wanted to become a Hunter. Having learned a bit under her parents, a miller and a seamstress, she was sure she could never pick a class that meant staying inside all day. But being a Hunter is more than just a class. It means providing meat for the village, culling small pests near the cultivated fields and most importantly guarding the village from predators and monsters. But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
