(Cold…
So cold…
I have to keep my consciousness,
Why this Lyra do this to me?
Is it to show me how she felt floating around like this?
I can’t stay awake any longer
I just want to close my eyes
Where am I right now?
How will anyone find me in this sea?
Maybe I am already at the bottom of the ocean and no one will find me,
I’m so cold…
How am I still alive?
Maybe I should die
Maybe I should survive
Am I human?
All this cold,
I miss the warmth
What warmth?
When have I ever felt warm before?
…..
I remember
I remember
I remember when I was a little girl,
Everything was warm,
No?
Yes!
I remember that, my mother was a former royal guard, my father was a merchant, my brother, he was much older than me,
We hardly spoke he kept to himself,
Mother said it was because he was training to be a royal guard,
So, I never bothered him,
I remember this?
No.
Yes,
I remember going to school as a little girl, there was this boy there Apollo,
He was scrawny, and would always spend his time alone reading,
I liked him but he would always get scared of me,
He was afraid of everyone,
I heard he was the prince’s cousin,
Why does he act so cowardly,
He would always come to school injured or bruised
Omari said his cousin was a klutz, I believed that,
I remember
I became friends with that boy, it took a while but he finally warmed up to me,
It was a warm time,
I remember….
How do I remember this?
I remember, coming home from school one day,
Everything was quiet,
There were also some screams down the street in other houses,
Advertisement
I was scared
“Mother!?” I called
“Father!?” no answer
“Brother!?” my house was silent,
I remember the sound of the screams and yells beginning light up the city
I was confused,
The floor outside the kitchen was wet and red
When I went inside everything felt cold
My mother lay with her head across the counter, her throat was slit open with the red substance leaking onto the floor
There was still food on the stove
It smelt good
It still felt cold
I wanted to vomit
A drop of red fell onto my head
It was cold
I looked up
My father was the roof frozen
His face was there of saddened agony
I didn’t know what to do
I screamed I ran
I screamed I ran
I screamed I ran
I remember this
Why am I remembering this?
These are Lyra’s memories,
Am I Lyra?
No,
Why were they so vivid?
Where is Lyra?
Why am I remembering your memories?
Have you died?
Was this your plan
I remember…
No,
No more
I don’t want to see anymore!
I remember…)
….

The Ruins of Magincia
They say all things end in time, but the exalted City of Magi would’ve begged to differ. Yet when an attempted coup goes wrong, the city finds itself brought to the very brink of destruction. In the wake of the calamity that left no survivors, the autonomous infrastructure still operating the ruined city seeks to restore what was lost. Luckily for it, the Mana-devoid Universe it awoke in holds an unexpected surprise: a planet full of sentient life forms. All capable—with a little help—to become the next generation of Magi. Back on Earth, Millie McArthur is a pregnant out-of-work mechanic struggling with the prospect of moving back in with her parents after leaving her unfaithful fiancé. That is until she finds herself just one of the hundreds that have been shanghaied by the callous artificial constructs still manning the ruins of Magincia. Now, she must struggle to learn magic, compete for resources, get good 'grades,' and fulfill the seemingly arbitrary requirements for her future job in this broken city. All while keeping herself, and her son, alive. Is the miracle of magic really enough to make up for all the pain? The Ruins of Magincia is a dark fantasy that's heavy on the drama (LitRPG aspects are very light). Chapter lengths can be anywhere from 7k-12k and there's no current release schedule as I'm focusing on wrapping up volume one.

The Everlasting. (Completed)
An Everlasting. A title given to those who have reached a state closest to godhood. Be it through might and power or through love and compassion. These beings hold great influence over the realms. This story is about Asura, a young orphaned child, who was taught the way of the blade and has mastered the Warrior Arts at a very young age. Given a recommendation by his master, Asura ventures out to broaden his horizons and to learn magic. Follow Asura’s journey and his quest to reach Everlastinghood. Comment by the author: Looking at the chapter list, you might have noticed Volume 1 is not there. The reason is that it’s in the process of being published so I’m somewhat restricted in where and how I can post it. Edit. 18/04/2017 The first volume is now officially on sale. It is no longer possible to get the first volume for free. I am sorry but it was free for a long time and it was time for it. However if you like to support me you can find th first volume here on Amazon (getBook.at/TheEverlasting) Compared to other stories on Royal Road this one is faster paced. No artificial extensions of the story by spending forever in generic constructs, like random ranking tournaments, that don’t really matter for the overall plot. That’s the plan anyway. Volumes consist roughly of 30-35k words. Additionally: I am not a native speaker, nor have I had any formal education in the English language. I am trying very hard to improve myself. If you want to help me by proofreading my story, shoot me a PM and we’ll see if we can arrange something. Other than my thanks and fake internet points I can’t offer anything, though. Yeah, poor student here… Edit 22/06/2017 Hey the story is officially ended if i ever decide to continue it will be on another date. The ending is open for anyone to use their imagination. Thank you all for the support. I hope we could meet later in the Everlasting II. Respectfully Biako
