"Thank you Jimmy! I'm here with Ta' Kwon Booker. How are you feeling after yet again another great win?" She asked Tay.
Tay eyed her "Girl why you talking like that? And why you calling my government?"
Amber shook her head "Can't ever act right.. please answer the question."
"Welp you know, I'm feeling good. The whole family here tonight, my baby mama here. Life's good."
Amber nodded "And how do you feel the rest of the season will go?"
"Good.. the team is- bout time bruh, she keep asking me all these questions I need to shower." Tay said as a sweaty Knowledge walked up.
As of last year, him and Knowledge were on the same team.
"Hey baby." He smiled.
Amber fake smiled "Hey.. I'm doing an interview right now tho."
She watched as the arena fell silent.
"What the hell-"
"Shh," Knowledge smiled as he pulled her to the middle of the court.
The cameras all turned towards them as he dropped to his knee.
"Knowledge.."
"Amb, we been together since high school. In between then and now we been through a lot, but we still stuck together. Everyday since we got together, my love for you has grown more than I coulda imagined. You gave me a beautiful daughter and now you giving me another one, and I could never thank you enough for that. But uh, I wanted to ask would you be my wife?"
She looked down as best as she could with her 8 month pregnant belly as he opened a ring box.
"Yes." She nodded as tears spilled out of her eyes.
He smiled as he put the ring on her finger, then stood up.

"Chill.." he laughed as reporters and cameras moved close to them.

"I love it so much, you did so good."
He smiled before reaching over to rub her stomach.
"Daddy's babyyyy." He cheesed as the baby started to kick.
Knowledge had loved every minute of her pregnancy since he found out, since he didn't get to experience it with Mecca.
"You been thinking of names?" He asked Amber.
"Milan Love keeps popping up in my mind. Especially since her birthday in February." She told him.
"Mecca and Milan. And they both got five letters."
Amber shook her head "Nerdddd."
He chuckled as he lifted her shirt up and peppered kissed on her stomach.
"The doctor said she gon be big.. they want me to have a c-section." She told him.
"I thought you wanted a home birth."
"I do, so that's what imma do."
"I get to deliver her still?" He asked excitedly.
"Yea baby."
"Cool cool, Doula Knowledge."
Amber smiled as she rubbed her hands over his low cut hair. "You so handsome,"
"You fucking wit the hair?"
"Mhm.."
"Mecca said I look weird.. she gotta smart mouth for a 7 year old. She stay on my ass," He chuckled.
"I miss my baby.. Tay and Sky always take her." Amber pouted.
The two claimed that they were practicing for when their baby came, Sky was 5 months pregnant.
"Call her." He said passing her his phone.
She went to his FaceTime log and laughed.
"All you do is FaceTime her and yo mama."

He chuckled as she clicked on Mecca's name.
"Ouu hi mommy! Show the ring girly."
Knowledge bursted into laughter.
Amber smiled and showed her.
"When y'all coming to get me? Uncle Tay aggy."
"Girl what you say?" They heard Tay's voice.
"I said you aggy.."
"Come fight me bruh."
Mecca ignored him then looked back at her parents.
"We coming tomorrow.." Knowledge told her.
"Mmm, actually can y'all get me the next day? Me and SkySky going out tomorrow."
"You not gon invite me?" Amber asked, offended.
"No.. you move a little too slow." Mecca told her.
"Bet, ain yo birthday next month? Sky can pay them party planners and caterers and whoever else."
"My daddy can pay."
Knowledge shook his head "Nah you said my wife move too slow."
"Folks proposed two hours ago and now she your wife?!?"
"Mecca.." Knowledge warned, letting her know she was getting a little too comfortable.
Amber moved her ass on Knowledge a little before speaking.
"Alright girl, enjoy your aunt and uncle. This baby making me sleepy."
"Okay byeee." Mecca waved before hanging up.
"Lying ass.." Knowledge shook his head as he watched her stand up and slide her robe off.

I submitted this fiction as a [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] as well as a participant in National Novel Writing Month.
