(I actually found the artist source this time lol. @521jie on Twitter)

Your foot taps lightly against the cold pavement as you cross your arms in front of your chest to preserve your body heat. You called for an Uber a couple of minutes ago, however, considering the shady area and the late hour, it's understandable that your ride is taking a bit longer than would be preferred.

You glance down at your watch, being mindful to track your actions to the precise minute while you wait. Your purpose for being in such a run-down part of town isn't important, but you need to get far away from here as quickly as possible.

You notice a dim light in the distance and crane your head to the side to see a car approaching. You wait a couple hopeful seconds as the light grows brighter, raising your anticipation of finally being out of the cold. However, a grey car zooms right past you without stopping.

Not good.

You try to catch a glimpse of the driver just in case, however, the windows of the car are tinted in a way that you're expressly aware is very much illegal. You suck your teeth as the car continues to drive away, leaving you with an extra cool breeze that only aggravates you more.

"Oh well, hopefully they just think I'm a hooker or something," you mutter to yourself while glancing down at your bare legs that are exposed to the elements. You knew you shouldn't have gone out of your way to dress up for the occasion, but alas you couldn't help but add theatrics for fun.

A skin-tight black cocktail dress and stiletto heels, you were never one for fashion items that stifled your ability to move freely. At the very least you were able to add a large black feathery jacket, though it does little for keeping your bottom half warm.

You go back to standing in silence, your body beginning to shiver as the night grows darker and your legs weaker. You let out a sigh and pull out your phone to check for updates, to your lack of surprise your driver has been changed. For the fourth time. However, this time your phone chimes happily making you jump.

Your driver has arrived.

The words appear however you don't see a single vehicle in sight. That is, until you glance to your right and are blindsided by bright white lights. You wince at the overkill of brightness before gradually making out the same license plate as the one on your phone.

The car screeches to a halt next to you, however, just like the last car this one also has tinted windows though not as extremely blocked as the last. You double check the license plate once more before tugging awkwardly at the backdoor.

"F/N?" The man in the driver's seat asks, the depth of his voice sending a surprised chill through your body. He doesn't turn back to acknowledge you, honestly you prefer it this way.

"Yeah," you say for confirmation as the man nods and doesn't bother waiting for you to get buckled in before pulling off. Your body lurches back as you let out an irritated humph before clicking your seatbelt in.

The car is an A-class Hatch Mercedes, small but comfortable enough. The interior of the car is neat, you graze your hand over the authentic leather seats and take note of the snacks in front of you with a sign informing you that you're free to take as you please.

Your driver appears to be a man in his late twenties or early thirties. Judging by the intense grasp of his large hands on the wheel and the bulk of muscle stretching out the sleeves of his shirt, he's no stranger to the gym or at least intense work.

Your eyes glide further upward, acknowledging his dark hair and matching eyes which you catch a glimpse of in the rear-view mirror. You wish you could observe his face more, but his eyes flash towards the mirror making you swiftly look out the window instead.

"Hmm, so what's a pretty young thing like you doing out here so late?" the driver asks suddenly deciding to make small talk, how bothersome.

"I could ask you the same," you joke lightly making the driver laugh loudly at your unexpected answer.

"I take it that means not to pry too heavily huh?" the driver asks as you look back towards the rear-view mirror and catch his eyes on you. Another sinister chill runs down your spine as you manage a sly smirk.

"You catch on quick," you say as a sudden thump from the trunk makes your ear twitch. It wasn't a loud sound, and you're certain that he hadn't gone over a speedbump, not to mention the road so far has been smooth meaning it shouldn't have been a pothole.

Interesting.

"Though if you're open to talk then why not discuss the person thumping around in your trunk?" you ask casually, a smile turns up your driver's lip.

"Hmm, if you want to bring up scandalous topics then what of the blood on your inner thigh,"

"Who's to say it's just not that time of the month?"

"A lady with nothing to hide would've done two things in response to that question. Yelled at me for being a perv and noting something in such an intimate place on her body, or grew embarrassed," the driver informs you as you begin to smirk now.

"However, you tried to justify the blood immediately. Not your first rodeo I assume?"

"I'd say the same to you if you had actually managed to finish the job properly,"

"Hmm, there's tricks of fate everyday. I suppose this time they wanted him alive a little longer, and for the two of us to meet," the driver says, a hint of flirtation making itself known as you roll your eyes.

"I won't tell if you don't," you say with an exasperated sigh.

"But of course, besides, the reason for this is because we both needed alibi's correct?"

"Other than a missed splatter of blood there's no further indication that I could've possibly been involved in an unsavory encounter. However, you're driving me around with your evidence. I'd say you're at my mercy right now," you point out as the man chuckles again.

"Mmm indeed, but how delicious to be at the mercy of a woman who looks at me as if I'm trash," the man says in the same tone as before, though his charisma make it so that you're less annoyed with the conversation than you would've otherwise been.

"Don't make this a kink thing," you say harshly to maintain your well put together persona. However, internally you're trying desperately to map out what this development could lead to.

You had already intended to be dropped off at a destination far enough away from your actual place of residence, but if you have to rid yourself of this new variable it'll be more difficult to do so without risking running into at least one person you know.

"As you wish," the driver promises as the light thumping in the trunk becomes more apparent. It's clear that whatever poor soul this man targeted is wide awake and in panic mode. You hear the man let out an annoyed sigh before once again meeting your eyes in the rear view mirror.

"Before we continue, do you mind if I handle some business first?" he asks with a frightening look in his eyes. Judging from his physic you can already infer what this man is capable of, though a part of you wants to see it for yourself.

"Want me to keep lookout?" you offer casually, trying to keep your voice void of any indication of your curiosity. The man raises an eyebrow before abruptly pulling off to the side.

"Won't take more than a couple minutes," the man says before pulling the car to a stop and glancing in his passengers side seat.

"Crowbar or no crowbar?" he asks suddenly, the question coming off as comfortable as if he were asking which flavor of ice cream is best. You scoff at the question in a condescending way.

"Do you want to have blood splatter all over the place? Anything that suppresses the amount of blood would be optimal. Is this really not your first time?" you ask as the man unbuckles his seatbelt and turns around to face you.

"Figured I'd give the lady the choice for fun, though I'm pretty good with my hands as well," the man informs you with a wink that makes your heart jump. Now that the car light is on, you're better able to make out this murderous stranger's godlike features. On the outside your face remains cold and indifferent, but internally your mind flurries with fantasies.

"I'd prefer you to go with the safest option considering I'm your alibi now,"

"Aww but the safest option isn't always the most fun. That goes for murder and sex," the man says playfully as you unexpectedly allow a baffled smirk to crack your mask.

"See? You know I'm right. Anyhow, strangulation it is as per the request of my newest partner in crime," the man jests as he opens the door and exits the car. You open your door as well and walk around to the back of the car to make your way to the driver's side on the off chance that you had to hop in to make a speedy getaway.

As you're walking past the trunk, you come face to face, no, face to chest with your Uber driver. He towers over you at a height of around six foot three and has larger pectoral muscles than some women's breasts. It only fuels your fantasies further at the realization that you have to lean your head slightly back to look into his eyes.

Judging by the cocky emotion oozing from his body language, he's also savoring this newfound knowledge.

"Like what you see?" the man asks as you roll your eyes and continue your path to the driver's side door.

"Just make this quick," you mutter, your words only making the man chuckle and nod.

"Whatever you say...though you didn't deny it," you hear the man say as you force your cheeks not to blush at getting caught. You observe your surroundings, making sure to also note the time as you glance intently into the darkness of the barren road before and behind you.

You hear the click of the trunk opening, naturally your eyes gravitate towards the sound which is followed by the sounds of muffled cries. Your view of the man is blocked by the trunk, but the condescending sound of his voice as he taunts his captive captivates you.

"Aww look at you holding on dearly for life, allow me to destroy that meaningless hope of yours," you hear the man say before the car begins to shake violently. You can only imagine the struggle partaking only a few steps away from where you lean nonchalantly.

The sounds of deranged laughter reaches your ears and you long to be able to see the matching smile which must rest on his lips. However, you maintain your focus on keeping lookout until the shaking comes to a gradual stop.

The trunk abruptly slams shut making it clear that the business has finally been taken care of properly this time. The man shoves his hands into his pockets before pulling out a single cigarette and lifting it to his lips.

It's only now that you notice the slight cut on his bottom lip as the small flame from his lighter illuminates the dark of the night. Both of you remain silent as the man inhales deeply and pauses to savour the taste for a moment before exhaling the smoke and offering the nicotine to you.

Without a word you accept the cigarette and bring it to your lips, mimicking his actions as you feel his eyes linger on you curiously.

"Aww look at that, our first indirect kiss," the man jokes as you steal another pull before handing him back his cigarette.

"You say first as if you're certain I intend on keeping you around after this," you note dryly as the man shrugs.

"Sure it's safer to do this kind of stuff solo, but I already told you what I feel about safety," the man reminds you as you chuckle and are given another turn with the nicotine stick.

"You're not good at handling rejection, are you?" you ask as the man shakes his head.

"It's not often someone like myself is turned down,"

"Always a first time for everything," you quip back quickly as the man smirks down at you.

"Your words reject me, but your body language gives you away," he taunts as you once again roll your eyes. This wouldn't be the first time a stranger has attempted to flirt with you, but you would be lying if you said his charisma had no effect on you.

"Unlike you I like to do things safe, have everything calculated before acting. You strike me as one who strives off chaos and going with the flow. Once you drop me at me designated location, I'd prefer never to see your face again and I'd urge you to forget mine," you say bluntly as you flick away the cigarette before making your way back into the car.

The man enters a few seconds after yourself and continues to drive off without another word. You feel the fatigue getting to you and allow yourself to indulge and close your eyes. However, you can still sense him check on you in the mirror every so often.

"So, who was the unlucky guy or girl who pissed you off tonight?"

"What makes you think I'm interested in sharing that kind of information?" You ask, genuinely curious to hear his response.

"Your destination is a good distance away. While I for one don't have any quarrels about uncomfortable silences, I can't satiate my curiosity," The man admits honestly as you sigh and place a hand to your chin as you open your eyes and stare out the window.

If you remained silent the entire ride you can't help but feel that you'd be lulled to sleep leaving yourself at the mercy of your driver. Flirty or not you've already gotten a glimpse of what he's capable of and you doubt the trunk is as comfy as these leather seats.

"He assaulted a distant cousin of mine. Granted we aren't that close, but my family doesn't take matters like that lightly," you say distantly as you recall the emotion that lit up the man's eyes when he first opened the door. You feel yourself smirk as that lust turned into fear, the sparkle in his eyes being dulled by the same bringer of that former light.

At least you can visualize a scene like that playing out. Your driver let's out a low whistle, his eyes glancing at you in the rear view mirror as he nods with respect. Whether or not he believes you isn't important.

"Looking out for family huh? I'd more probably kill a member of my family before I kill for them," he informs you as you let out an uncharacteristic snort.

"Yeah that seems about right," you say before you can stop yourself, though the man doesn't appear phased by your quick judgement.

"Hmm, do I really give off that kind of vibe?" he asks, his voice slightly pouty as if he were accusing you of bullying him. You hum softly and lean forward, placing your hands on either seat in front of you while observing his body, in particular the multiple hidden tattoos you caught glimpses of earlier.

"You mean do you look like the type who'd be the black sheep of the family and as a result doesn't really give a damn about family? If so, then yes," you expand nonchalantly as the man smirks and nods.

"You've got a keen eye there, F/N," the man muses. Even though you quite obviously gave a fake name and card for the Uber pickup, a tiny part of you regrets it at this moment.

"Do you really think I'd be naïve enough to give up my real information? As well as any real truth surrounding a crime I may or may not have committed?" You ask as the man pulls up to a red light and glances at you with an amused expression that both irritates and entices you.

"Even if its not your true name, you got flustered there didn't you?" the man asks as you give him the reward of seeing you smile.

"Your sureness of my attraction to you pisses me off," you admit while pulling a small dagger from the thigh strap you'd hidden this entire trip. The man doesn't flinch as the sharpened blade is pressed against his Adam's apple, threatening to draw blood.

"And your desire to hold yourself back from indulging in the fruits of that attraction humor me. We both know you have no real intention of killing me," the man responds without missing a beat. You suck your teeth and begrudgingly remove the knife.

All in all, you don't have the energy to cover up another murder tonight.

"Besides, only a rookie would blab about the real reason they may or may not have murdered someone," the man continues as you chuckle a bit and nod.

"Yeah, my cousin's a piece of shit. I wouldn't defend that dipshit from a paper cut, let alone pull a Vin Diesel," you joke making your driver laugh as the light changes and he continues your journey.

"I guess that makes two things we have in common,"

"Two?"

"Mhmm, the first is the two of us both despise our cousins and the second is the we're murderously good looking people," the man says while flashing you a wink. You hate to admit it, but this flirty Uber driver of yours has made you smile more times in this hour or so than you have probably all month.

As you begin to recognize the buildings around you, a small part of you dreads the loss of someone you can make these particular kind of risky jokes with. The car is filled with an awkward silence as you turn the last corner before reaching your destination.

"You can drop me off by this café," you speak up for the first time in a handful of minutes. Your driver heeds your instructions and the car comes to a smooth halt in front of the aforementioned café.

"I suppose this is where we part ways partner in crime," your driver says, his tone even and holding little to no emotion. The switch almost makes you laugh as his avoidance of showing any emotion only makes it that much clearer that he doesn't want the night to end just yet.

"Out of curiosity how should I rate my ride? I mean I was offered free snacks which is a positive...the thumping in the back was annoying but you did handle it swiftly," you summarize your trip lightly as the man frowns in a cute way.

"Are you trying to say every passenger doesn't enjoy the experience of becoming an alibi in an unknown crime with a questionable criminal?" the man asks in an appalled tone, his hand reaching for his chest dramatically as a laugh escapes your lips.

"I wouldn't recommend it, not every customer is as understanding as myself,"

"I'll consider it, but I'll continue to choose the fun option instead of the safe one," the driver reminds you as you nod and open the car door. The chill of the night greets you with a ferocity that effectively snaps you back to reality.

For your safety you should mark this night as a rare bright spot in your dull life, but you already find yourself wanting to indulge further. You force yourself to step out of the car and turn to close the door but instead pull out your phone and curse softly.

"Hmm? Something wrong?" the driver asks as you lean down so that he can see your embarrassed smile.

"It seems my phone has died, do you have a charger by chance?" you ask as the man smiles brightly at you. You're already aware that he has the same charger that you'd need, not that it matters considering your phone still has a full battery.

"I do, though it'd be pretty cold to wait in here to wait for it to charge right? Why don't we head into the café to warm up and wait? I'll buy you a drink," the man offers smoothly just as you had expected, especially considering there's no way he believed your dead phone story.

"I'd like that," you respond as the man nods before sliding out of the car prompting you to shut the door as he does the same and walks around the car to greet you once more. The two of you remain silent for a few seconds, simply staring at each other with an unsaid understanding.

"What happened to sticking to calculated plans?"
