Charlie's pov:
We say our good nights and head upstairs. I close the door behind me and turn around to Ben trying on the wedding band again. "I just can't believe my dad gave us these." Tears stream down his cheeks. I walk over pulling him into a tight hug. "It's okay baby. It's okay I'm here." I rub his back up and down while he cries. "I'm just so sorry about kissing you earlier, I promised you I wouldn't push you." I cut him off pressing my lips on his. Shocked he just stands there. I move my lips pressing just slightly harder against him. Finally he relaxes and kisses me back. The kiss is soft and slow and all I can think about is how bad I want him. How bad I want us. He places his hands on my waist and pushes me gently against the wall. Desperate I tug at his hair earring a soft moan. "Charlie no we can't do this" he breaks the kiss and panic strikes across his face. "It's over." I look into his eyes trying to express what I mean without having to spell it out for him. "It's over?" He repeats back as a question, a dance of hope around the word over. I nod my head and press my lips on his once again. This time there's no hesitation and he kisses me back rougher than last time. Pulling at my lip with his teeth, I give in letting him swirl his tongue with mine. "Marry me Charlie" he giggles lifting me up. I kiss him again not knowing what to say. He's moves us to the bed, laying me down softly. He pulls his shirt over his head and I reach down to do the same. He leaves little kisses up my chest until he reaches my lips. "Marry" he places a kiss on my cheek. "Me" he places another on the other side. He looks into my eyes and my desire answers for me. "Okay" I smile. "I'll marry you." And with that the rest of the night was ours. Giving in to the love we have shared since we were kids.

I wake up the next morning to kisses being placed everywhere. "Woah slow down baby" I chuckle. "I haven't even brushed my teeth yet." Ben throws his head back on the pillow giggling. "That won't matter when we're married" married I smile at the word remembering last night. I reach over and grab my phone. I haven't checked it since yesterday morning. 7 missed calls, 13 messages. I unlock my phone to see they are all from nick.
N: come back, I'm sorry I love you.
N: please Char. I didn't mean it.
N: We can work this out
N: I love you
N: why are you ignoring me?
N: you better not be with Ben
N: if your with him it's over char, I mean it
N: are you sure you want him?
N: is it marriage you want?
N: char I'll marry you if I have to
N: please don't pick him
N: char
N: please come home
I toss the phone to the side. It's done. I've made my decision. I'm going to marry Ben and nothing will stop me.
Ben sits up in bed and rubs his hand down my cheek. "Baby? Are you okay?" Concern fills his eyes. "Of course! I'm getting to marry you why wouldn't I be fine." I lie. "I'm just gonna go to the bathroom. I rush out the room. I close the door and slide down it. Tears stream down my face. Why. WHY! Do I love two different people at the same time.
Ben's Pov:
Charlie rushes out of the room but not before I can hear his sniffles. I reach over grabbing his phone from the nightstand. He left it open on Nicks messages. I scroll through reading each one. I can't help but feel guilty. All of this pain he's going through is my fault. He clearly still loves Nick. Is it selfish to justify this because I had him first? The thought swirls my head and I push it out. If he really wanted to be with Nick he wouldn't have come here. He wouldn't have slept with me last night. He wouldn't have agreed to marry me. There's a ball of guilt in my stomach. I push it down and set the phone back on the nightstand. He was mine first and Nick took him away. It's not my fault Charlie came back to his first love. Who ever can really forget their first love anyway.

Charlie walks back in with tear stained cheeks. It's obvious he's been crying but I don't want to push him to talk about it. "Blueberry pancakes?" I suggest as he falls into my side. His stomach growls answering for him. "I'll go get them started okay?" I place a kiss on his forehead and head downstairs.
"Hey mom" I whisper unsure who else is awake. "You look like you had a good night." She winks at me. "Mom I'm your son that is totally inappropriate" I roll my eyes. "So, are you and Charlie like officially together again?" She whispers. "Yeah" I shrug. "What happened to him and Nick?" She moves closer to keep it quiet. "They broke up. He choose me mom." I can't help but crack a smile. "So the wedding is happening for real? We don't have to pretend for your father anymore? He's really going to be my son?" She claps her hands together. "Yes mom" I crack a smile again and she pulls me into a hug. "I told you if you just gave him space he would come back to you. I'm so glad you let me in on the fake marriage. Now I get to plan a real one." She squeals. "I know, I know. Thank you mom for everything. I really do love him." I look over at her hoping she can feel the truth behind my words. "I know son. I know."
