《Infected [killugon/killuaxgon]》Your kidding, right?

"What... happened?" My voice cracked, and my eyes were filled with tears of a different kind, but I refused to cry.
The moment I saw his face, I felt confused. I was confused because I wasn't all that happy to see him. I've been wanting this for so long, and now that he's here, I don't know what to feel.
"You abandoned Mito and me," I said, crossing my arms in front of my chest. Ging frowned and finally turned away from me. Killua shifted awkwardly to the side, then decided to check on the walkers behind us.
"Yes I know, and I'm sorry for that. And I'm sorry we are only meeting again now. I felt terrible every day after I left, and I promise I will explain why all this happened but now isn't the best time." He says, pointing behind me and I knew he was talking about the walkers who followed me.
"Gon, your bleeding." Killua notices, taking my hand and sitting me on the ground against a wall. "Does it hurt too bad?"
"Not a lot, since I haven't said anything about it this entire time" he smiled, before standing up and collecting some bandages from a nearby shelf. He then sat down next to me and looked in my direction before carefully pulling up the leg of my pants. I winced as the fabric brushed against the cut. "I'm sorry," Killua muttered quietly, wrapping my cut with a bandage and securing it with a safety pin.
"You know... I came here for a reason." I said after some silence. "Leorio is a bit sick, so I came here to find some medicine." Killua nodded and stood up, offering me a hand which I took. "What were you looking for?" He pulled me up but kept my hand in his. "Tylenol. I hope there's some left." I sighed.
"No problem, there never seems to be a shortage of that stuff." He replies, letting my hand go and wandering down each aisle, before eventually raising his hand with a bottle of Tylenol in his grasp. "See?" He walked past Ging, who stayed silent, and handed me the bottle.

I thanked him and slid the bottle into my backpack, which Killua had thoughtfully brought with him. "Let's prioritize the fact that we're stuck in here," I said. We had to get out of there. The walkers were becoming louder and more persistent. After all, they had previously devoured themselves as a last resort, as there were fewer and fewer people for them to tear apart. The mere thought of human flesh must drive them insane.
They were swarmed against the building's door, trying to push their way to the front so they could be the first to reach the food. To think these were humans altered into bloodthirsty creatures with no appetite for anything other than flesh, blood, and other internal tissues. But they were simple creatures, monsters, or rather animals. Certainly not humans anymore.
"There is a backdoor, leading to the back alleyway. We can leave there. That's how me and snow white got here." Ging mentioned, Taking a few things from the shelves and throwing them in his own backpack. "We should get going pretty soon. Are we going back to your place, Gon?" He asked, looking me in the eye once again. I nodded my head, "Yes, I have to tell leorio about this. Killua, we were both so worried about you." I admit.
Leorio was just as nervous as I was. He would be thrilled to learn killua was okay this whole time. But introducing him to my father is going to be another story. Would the person we consider a father figure meeting my actual father be awkward? Would they get along?
"Did you guys think I'd go and get myself killed?" He questioned, faking hurt. Ging snickered slightly. "When we met, you were so exhausted you almost let me kill you." Killua shrugged his shoulders. "I barely remember that night, it was as if I'd been drinking." He sighed.
"Wait, you nearly hurt Killua?" Ging's sweat dropped as he scratched his neck in response to my question. "Nooooo... He broke into our property while I was out patrolling that day. To be honest, the only reason I let him off the hook was that he mentioned your name." He admitted, and now killua had a confused look on his face.

"You knew I was close to your son all along?" He questioned, and Ging sighed. "Come on, you knew my last name since the first day as well. Hadn't you put the pieces together?"
Killua crossed his arms, looking away as if he were a young child being told off. "I did, I had a feeling! But I thought maybe it was a coincidence?" He muttered, and I couldn't believe my ears. "You mean you had no idea he was my dad? Same last names and everything? Never call me stupid ever again." I laughed, and both Ging and Killua's faces softened.
I swing my backpack over my shoulders and stood straight. "Let's never forget about this moment, and leave this place. The walkers are getting louder."
---------------------------
"This is where you have been staying?" killua questioned as if I hadn't just led them to me and Leorio's 'Temporary hideout.' I stepped over the fallen lamp neither one of us bothered to pick up over the past week, and into the room with ugly wallpaper. "Yup. It's not great but it works. Leorio should be upstairs-" I didn't have to finish my sentence before Killua rushed up the stairs, quickly but without making too much noise.
~Killua's POV~
I ran up the stairs and peeked inside each room, before finally reaching the end of the hall and opening up the door to find a snoring leorio. I snickered behind my hand while I thought of all the ways I could wake him up. I decided that there was no need to do anything over the top, so I snook into the room and kneeled next to him, grabbing the damp towel from his forehead and pouring a bit more water on it, before turning it out over his face.
I knew it was a success when he woke up with a gasp, sitting up swiftly and taking a look at his surroundings. His eyes met mine, and I grinned widely while he sat silently.
"Wait," he says suddenly, and I only stared at him with a smile.
His eyes were coated with tears as he pulled me into a strong hug, and I hugged back with the same amount of force. Me and Leorio always fought or teased each other, It never felt like we were incredibly close, but I always knew I'd kill for this goofball. It doesn't matter how much our personalities clash, or how we rarely agree on anything, but he is one of my best friends and I wouldn't trade him for the world.
He sobbed into my shoulder and this might have been what made me understand how important this situation is. My eyes felt heavy, and I dug my face into his shoulder. Everything was silent, except for our quiet sobs. Maybe both me and him needed this.
"Tell me everything Killua, please tell me what happened." He sniffled and gently pulled away, but I didn't want to let go just yet. Maybe this was what it felt like to feel affection from your father. He does act like a dad sometimes. Maybe even more than my own had.
"I'll tell you everything... and Gon is downstairs with the medicine."
I took a little break, didn't I? I'm back now! I really needed a bit to clear my mind. Oh and Christmas! Merry Christmas everyone :] And I'm sorry about the random posting, I only write and post when I feel up to it, and I guess it's always been like that. I care about my readers and I love reading your comments, but sometimes it might time a while to post, so I don't feel overwhelmed.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter!

8 249Animus Smith
Zen Chardo is just your average highschool student, at least that's what he thinks but in reality he is quietly extraordinary. Its as if he only exists when interacted with, like he has no place in reality and if it was up to him he may well have faded into obscurity if not for those closest to him. Despite the otherworldliness of these embellishments Zen is in fact human and like all humans is drawn to others, it is through these bonds that he makes his mark on the world... or should I say worlds, for this is a story of adventure and magic in another world. A young man's quest to safeguard the future of those he cares about. This is the story of Zen, the Animus Smith.
8 237Of Life and Light
Home. By definition, such a word means "A place where one lives", but what happens when one is removed from their home by those with greater authority? One would seek out another place to live, of course. Karastak, a Devil King and a Fallen God of a world called Terra, was removed from his world by something greater than himself, and has journeyed to the world of Azzarath by way of Azazel, God King of the Azzarathean Pantheon. Perhaps she performed thusly through pity, charity, or a simple act of kindness with no strings attached. Regardless, he is deposited near a village upon a mountainous range within the world. There, he meets up with his Human family, a grizzled old Templar, a shy Cleric, and an apathetic Mage, that came to take him away from his troubles, but he does not budge. That is, until one of his servants speaks of finding a new home. However, perhaps instead of finding a home, he finds adventure instead? The story within is a Frame Story, which means it is a story within another story. In that this one is being told by three personages, a God King called the Ageless, a Lich King called Brutus, and a Goddess named Sarah. Each of them speaks of the Ageless's past self, one called Karastak, as he journeys onwards throughout the worlds within the Azzarathean Pantheon in search of something more.
