《Chained To You [Jeff The Killer]》chapter 13

How she survived, Y/N had no clue.

Filling Y/N's mind was the man who attempted to rescue her. Guilt over that man's death invaded her conscience. Cursing again, she mentally repeated how she wouldn't be in this mess if she had just called the police or skipped town while he was held hostage on her bed. That man would've lived if it wasn't for her stupidity.

Wincing in pain, Y/N unbuckled her seat belt, dropping onto the broken glass and roof beneath; feeling less faint, she sat upright, trying to gather herself, but a cracking pain throbbed inside her skull, and her vision was skewed, disorientating her. She also felt a liquid trickle down her chest. Those stitches from Jeff's crude carving must've torn in the chaos. Y/N welcomed the warmth from the blood as the bitter cold from the environment around now started to bite.

Y/N turned to see Jeff hanging dormant in his seat, unconscious from the calamity. Taking this as a chance to escape, she began crawling out of the car. Determination filled Y/N to get her way back to the pub. Jeff being unconscious or dead gave her a head start, and hopefully, someone would've stumbled across the hero's corpse by now, meaning the police would, at the very least, be on their way. Y/N didn't care about the legal ramifications of Patrick's demise. Any punishment from the law would be better than Jeff's cruelty.

Thick snow crunched under her shivering form as she slowly made the way she came; the snowfall was heavier as the hour grew late, and any more distance than her own hands was a foggy mist. Discombobulating Y/N even more than she already had been. Her mind felt like scrambled eggs, mushy, blank, and confusion had already set in. Was this even the way she had come? The trees didn't seem so thick and crowded on the road before.

Venturing further along, Y/N's breathing was shallow, and her knees threatened to buckle from pain and exhaustion. Every so often, her head whipped back, scanning the whiteness to see if he had awoken. There was no time to check his pulse when she had left, and quite frankly, putting her hands anywhere near him frightened her enough. Awake or not. Knowing her luck, though, even if he died, Jeff would make a deal with the devil himself to come back and kill her.

"Fuck." She managed to mutter through chattering teeth as the path ahead was dense and endless.

The world seemed hushed; no cars on the road or animals in the woods could be seen or heard. It ran electricity through her spine, and the feeling of Jeff stalking behind her came gushing back. She was going to die out here in the cold. She knew it, felt it. Y/N's heart pounded within her, attempting to crack through her ribs. Clutching her bleeding chest in agony, she collapsed to the cold white abyss beneath her.

Bile rose in her throat as Y/N began to panic while hot tears ran down her flushed face; the whole world was seemingly closing in around her. "Even if I get back there, Jeff will kill everyone and then me." Her voice was barely above a whisper. "He'll follow my footsteps in the snow. He'll find me."

Cold and paranoia were getting to her fragile mind; standing was not even an option. The weight of her emotions crushed any spirit left within her. Then, through the silence, she heard snow crunching in the distance. Her breath shortened, and the once-drumming heart within her suddenly began to skip beats. It had to be him; the heaviness and pace of the steps made them seem human, and who else would be out here? She needed to move.

Staggering up and forward with all her might, she hobbled ahead, shaky, quickened breaths escaping her mouth.

"Y/N!" His roaring voice echoed through the snow. "If you don't stop right fuckin' now, what I'm going to do to you is gonna hurt a whole lot fucking worse, you little bitch!"

Jeff was gaining on her fast. Seemingly uninjured or undeterred at all from the crash. Either way, he would catch her, so what was the point of wasting even one second of freedom? Choking on her sobs, she looked back, seeing his face scrunched and twisted with pure fury. At this point, Y/N hoped this would finally drive him to kill her; in the most twisted way, death would be a warm welcome.

Gloved hands gripped her frame, breaking her thought line and ramming her back against a tree. She was not fast, but Jeff had caught her at an astronomical speed.

"Please, please don't hurt me. I was scared, please!" Y/N cried out, wriggling against his grip.

"You have some fuckin' nerve, sweetheart." He paused for a moment, staring into her glassy eyes. "I should fucking kill you and save myself some trouble." His hands tightened against her frail arms. Her ears burned with nervousness, and warmth gnawed against her cheeks.

"But your just too much fun, aren't you." He let out a menacing cackle. "I've never met a bitch with balls as big as yours; I respect that. But this doesn't mean I won't do anything to you. You still disobeyed me." Jeff seethed.

Jeff's fist connected with her stomach with such force vomit spewed from her mouth down onto her legs. Falling to the ground, his blows kept coming. Screams and pleas rolled from her mouth as she curled into a ball. Not bothering to try and crawl away or stand, Y/N knew it was just better to cry, beg and let Jeff have his fill rather than fight back and face worse punishment.

He stopped after what seemed like an eternity and crouched to her level. "I'm sorry." Was the only whisper that left her. "I knew I wouldn't get far," she mumbled.

Jeff laughed, laying a hand on her leg. "Of course you wouldn't; your dumbass wasn't even going the right way!" His sickening giggles violated her ears. "Anyways, your fuckin' lucky I know someone who lives in the area, or you would be getting it way worse." Spitting on the ground below, Jeff stood and waited, seemingly for Y/N to stand.

"I can't stand, I can't." Croaking the words out, she turned away from his burning gaze, Waiting for another brutal beating.

"So I have to fuckin' carry you, cunt?" He wasn't amused.

With those words, attempts from Y/N were made to stand, but the fatigue she felt would only let her shaky arms lift her so far.

"Leave me to do all the work then." Jeff scoffed, letting out a few angry mutters while scooping her from the ground.

As the pair trudged through the snow and thicket, no words were exchanged except the occasional wince from Y/N or an angry snarl from Jeff. The deeper they ventured, and as the path grew more twisted and confusing, she wondered who he could know in these woods, what type of person they would have to be to acquaint themself with the likes of Jeffery.

After more rugged terrain and what seemed like endless hours of walking for Jeff, finally, a log cabin entered their view. Dim light spilled from the windows as he stomped onto the veranda.

Jeff began to set down some rules, hissing them into her ear. "Now, when I fuckin' tell you to do something in here, you better listen, for your own sake, got it."

Y/N, wide-eyed and filled with fear, quickly nodded, and before anything else, the door eerily crept open, slowly revealing the outline of a menacing figure in the dim light.
