《Crossing The Lands》45] - [Empire]

Outside the mighty sect, Luzhen Jie and Zhuveng Tellios were in a clearing. The sect master threw his first layer of robes down to the ground with bloodshot eyes. "Take this you shitty sect! Take this!! This is what happens when you mess with me bitch!" The Grand Elder merely watched the tantrum in silence.
"So what if you're stronger! I fucked your little mountain up! How does it feel! Huh?!!"
A few minutes later, he began panting with wild Qi around him. "Grand Elder." Zhuveng Tellios obliged. "Yes, sect master?"
"Reward the families and relatives of the bombers ten times the agreed payment. I'm in a good fucking mood today!" The Grand Elder noted down in his mind, ready to throw this away when the sect master cooled down some more in the near future.
Hours passed, and Wu Tian watched the ground from afar. He slowly examined the mountain, watching out for any ledge. And after finding enough of them, he slid down.
Being so slow and careful, he meticulously descended from ledge to ledge. Each of them barely a centimeter or two in both width and length. In the meantime, Guizou was cultivating in peace.
Spending an hour already on the white stone reflecting the overbearing sun above, Wu Tian managed to land all the way down the middle. But then, he saw no more ledges around.
Without much of a choice left, he reluctantly slid down after two hours of hesitation and denial. His ankles felt a faint strain, and his speed kept getting higher.
The acceleration bore on his heart more each moment. Am I not going... too fast? This question plagued him for another hour when the scenery below zoomed in at lightning speed. Oh sh-
A heavy thump later, Wu Tian turned wide eyed before falling on his face like a statue. Ouch. Tears welled up, his voice squeaking audibly due to his high pitched screams being too high.
His mind however was not restrained by his opposing deep shout.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!! It huuuuurts!!!
Spending the good part of an hour wailing face first in the grass, drooling everywhere, he then slowly stood up. Clearing his sore throat and patting his now tainted green robes and skin, he resumed his walk as if nothing happened.
His buckling knees each step were quite the testament on the other hand.
While Wu Tian left the Sky Sovereign Sect, the Fairy Land was restless.
The pink sky was a hand covering a golden palace of incredible prestige. Faint rubbles were still here and there, on the verge of being swept away.

Within it, where halls and rooms crisscrossed endlessly, corridors tall enough to fit titans, beds big enough to cover cities, a golden throne stood above simple stairs.
Red banners were slightly fluttering behind, no pillars needed to support this structure.
Sitting upon the throne, a youth of blonde hair. His bloodthirsty purple eyes angrily gazed ahead. Experts of all kinds were kneeling and saluting beneath, at the staircase's foot.
"Your Eternal Majesty, a sudden surge of peerless masters has set camp near the capital." A bald man eloquently spoke. He dared not raise his gaze, the same as all others.
An elderly woman hunched her back. "Your Eternal Majesty, this group has been persecuting and insulting the Empire for the last couple of years! The damage is consequential!"
The young man revered by their words merely scoffed for all to hear. "Can't you deal with petty bandits? Do I have to take charge?" As he berated them, a shadow whispered from behind the throne. "Young master, I went over to verify, I must remind you that they are not simple. I'm not sure whether I can intervene or not, and these people number eight. All of them seem to originate from the Sublime Demonic Cave. They might be part of the Demonic Extremes!"
The young man widened his eyes for a mere moment before narrowing them. He whispered back. "I don't care, just sweep through them! Are you not our Holy Spirit Hall's Gifted Angel? You surely can deal with some Demonic Extremes or whatever."
The shadow grit its teeth. "Young master, His Eternal Majesty has especially warned me not to get involved." The youth was perplexed at the sentence. "Father? He probably just wants me to learn more on my own. It's fine to help from time to time, don't worry about it!"
Hesitating, clear to the young man, this same man pressed further. "If you don't help me steadily grow, will I be able to put in a good rating of your work?"
Clenching its body, the shadow nodded heavily. "Alright! It will be done." Fading away like smoke, the throne's shadow was left lone.
Unbeknown to them both, a white robed man of eyes like the sun looked down. "Petty little bastards... Don't think that I am blind! I already warned you!" A burst of light blinding his surroundings, a distant place turned upside down.
Behind the curtains atop the large stairs, a giant was suddenly panting. The woman to his left immediately showed worry. "Your Eternal Majesty!"

Clutching his chest, the Eternal Amalgam felt fear for the first time in countless years. What... happened?! That's! What did I do?!
A flicker of flames appeared in front of his messy state. These flames burned like a fiery star, soon metamorphosing into floating words.
I will forgive your trespassing, but the rat must suffer. The Fairy Land is not yours to touch nor his to covet! Let this be a kind warning, you eternal bastard.
Flying through the pink sky, the shadow hummed while annoyed. Fucking kid, always pushing me around! A little Emperor ordering me! Thanks to his father I at least broke through, but this doesn't mean I won't shove a tree up his pompous ass!
Freezing out of nowhere, the shadowy man raised his head. Utterly flabbergasted, the pink sky was illuminated by yellow and orange. Before long, a meteor of pure flames was in sight far above the vaporized clouds.
"?!"
Even his round eyes could not visualize the falling sun's enormity. The temperature rose until trees caught on fire and the air burned away.
In a flash of warm light, blinding the world around, a sudden surge in heat skyrocketed near a shadow covered in divine lights. "What is this?!!"
Frowning on the throne, the young man had been waiting for months now. A whisper was then heard from behind. "Young... master... I have... returned..." Like a spring let free, he jumped from his seat, rushing behind the golden seat. A charred figure sat against it. "What? What the hell happened?!" His voice echoed, startling the usual people in the hall.
"Young.... master... I... was... I... don't... can't..." His body was unrecognizable, covered from head to toe in bloodied scar tissue.
Wu Tian strolled under the open sky of dusk, having travelled north for a few days. He did not expect to find much in the area, until a small mountain range opened before him. From afar, he could read onto a plaque hung above pale gates.
Earthen Prism Sect
Raising a brow, he also felt invincible after he, or more precisely his master, destroyed a powerful sect of divine standards. Escaping the gentle forest, he was immediately spotted from a hundred meters away by a watchtower. "Intruder!" Not having the same robes as them, he was suspected. The overkill reaction however was the current sect's climate to blame.
Four brown robed young men walked toward him. They held no weapons, but showed clear superiority. One may believe them to be clueless as to their defeat in the Sky Sovereign Sect.
Wu Tian was on edge at the sight. They obviously meant no pure hearted kindness. From the look of it, they might attack him whenever.
But being the incredible Warrior he was, Wu Tian threw his worries to the back of his mind. Since, pillaging sects might just be his new favorite hobby. No need to spend decades searching for treasure when one could just let a sect do it for centuries or even millennia while one simply needed to ransack the place after a while.
Let others put in the hours, and take everything like taking a candy from a child.
He even wondered why other people did not do this often? He never heard of sects and clans being attacked. Was it a cultivation issue? Had he not met Guizou, he would not have been such an irregularity out in the wide world.
Atop the pagoda, Luzhen Jie was handling common paperwork. He was grumbling from time to time while reading.
"Who cares about your conference, why would I go there? A little Mortal thinks he can move me?"
"Taxes?! From who?! Grand Elder! Come in!" At his order, Zhuveng Tellios opened the door to take a peek. "Yes, sect master?"
Said sect master waved him off with a few words. "Go to the Water Divination Sect and take their sect master's head for me. They dare order payment from our sect! Can you believe this nonsense?!"
The Grand Elder chuckled politely, closing the door. "Right away!"
A few minutes more, the door was opened again, and by the Grand Elder no less. Luzhen Jie gave a faint smile as he leveled his gaze up front. Jokingly teasing the old man. "So fast? I never knew about your skills all along!" He thought that the Grand Elder might have forgotten something in the room as he also stood in it often.
But the Grand Elder was not in the mood to appreciate the joke. "Sect master! We are under attack!" His small panic made Luzhen Jie's heart throb. "Is the Sky Sovereign Sect here?" The concern in his eyes was then met with disbelief. "No... at least I don't think so..."
"It's just one man!"

When Aurum Industries announced the first Full Immersion Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (FIVRMMORPG if you're hip) Limitless Online, most people saw it as an opportunity to live out their sword and sorcery fantasies. John, however, saw it as the opening of a new and as of yet uncrowded job market. One he was willing, and eager, to exploit. Determined to make money through virtual hard work and effort, John sets his sights not on the heights of magic or the perfection of the sword, but instead upon the tilling of the soil and the sowing of seeds as he explores the wide and wonderful world of magical agriculture all from the comfort of his own bed. Disclaimer: This is, at best, a very rough draft. I have already had to do one major rewrite and several minor rewrites of entire sections of the story, and it is a virtual certainty I will have to do re-writes again. Such changes may be as small as editing a few numbers (such as going back and changing how much mana an object holds) or it may force me to re-write entire chapters (this has happened once already, and I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again, but... life). Minor re-writes will probably never be posted here. Major rewrites probably will.Anyway, what this boils down to is: If you're looking for a fully cohesive story with few to no errors and publisher level editing, this is not the story for you. If your looking for a cohesive plot that's more than "Man farms, man farms, man farms well, man maybe makes money" you're probably also in the wrong place, but I will attempt to entertain you anyway.
8 149A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.
