Effervescent (adjective): vivacious and enthusiastic

An ethereal snow draped over the earth.

Elysian and serene, no other natural occurrence could compare to the heavenly teardrops descending from the sky. Each crystallization of rain and ice assembled into another white feather on the snowy land; the curtain of winter lowered on the world stage.

Stillness. Reticence. Soft lights wavered like pieces of dancing ember from behind frosted windows. As if paying respects to the celestial shower, a few distant voices bobbed but never loud enough to disturb the snowflakes.

Suddenly, a dot of green appeared in the midst of white.

There was a tiny seedling trying to grow.

Its tender leaves, already covered in speckles of ice, reached towards the quiet sky despite the absence of sunlight’s silver ribbons. It seemed as if the young sprout was opening a gift that only winter could offer.
