It actually cowed some of the stronger experts into lowering their heads. Upon realising what happened, they quickly raised their heads before looking at Long Di in shock!

A mere five-star-core martial master actually caused them to lower their heads? What the hell was happening!?

“You make such a solemn oath?” The Grand Preceptor actually raised a brow in slight shock.

“You’re damn right I do. Now let her go!” Long Di demanded.

Long Di hated swearing on his dao, but his confidence from this stemmed from the deepest part of him.

The heavenly pressure leaking from his words was solemn and awe-inspiring. Even the Grand Preceptor felt a bit compelled to listen to him.

“Hmph!” A surge of aura from the Grand Preceptor dispelled the coercion that Long Di emanated. “The oath on your dao is made in ignorance. It simply means you don’t know the truth and lack validity. As such, it holds no weight here. I will act on my right as a denizen of the Martial Combat Continent and wipe out this scourge!”

“Yaomu Shou!” Long Di let go of all reservations!

“Got it! I invoke the Imperial Divine Edict!”

The purple sword in her hand released a powerful violet glow as a regal aura unfurled.

“Tri-successor! What are you doing!?” The Grand Preceptor didn’t expect Yaomu Shou to use such a thing.

Hearing this title sent Yaomu Shou into a rage.

“Doing what I want!” She yelled. If she had any thoughts of holding back before, just hearing that title from the Grand Preceptor rid her of any such notions.

In addition, Long Di swore on his dao and he trusted her. If she held back at this point, she wouldn’t be able to show her face in front of him again!

Pu Ci!

Blood flew as the sword cut Yaomu Shou’s palm and red runes lit up one by one on the blade.

Whoosh!

A powerful pressure descended that froze the actions of every demon present.

“All demon race experts hear me now! The matter of Long Di and his companions will be suppressed! Any utterance will suffer the retribution of the Demonic Venerates!”

Her voice carried with it unquestionable authority and prestige! It couldn’t be refuted!

A sword rune immediately branded itself on every expert present, shocking them.

The only one bereft of the sword rune was the Grand Preceptor himself.

“Yaomu Shou!” The Grand Preceptor wore an expression of disbelief. A frown finally made its way onto his face.

He stopped holding back and tapped his cane on the void to kill Shen Ling!

Whoosh!

A powerful wall of flames rose up, blocking the power of the Grand Preceptor.

“Who dares!?” the Grand Preceptor flew into the sky.

Suddenly, a female with powerful curves merged from the wall of flames. Red hair waved in the wind like a flame catching fire in the wind. Two horns peeked from this sea of flames.

Her eyes were red with pupils in the shape of slits. This was the same Dragon race expert that was always observing Long Di up till now.

Zhen Ta instantly recognised this aura. This was the same existence that shielded Long Di from his attack the last time!

“Who are you!?” The Grand Preceptor asked.

“Long Qian of the Eastern Dragon Bastion!” The newcomer announced. “I have long heard of the Demon Region’s Grand Preceptor’s legendary battle scores. Please advise me!”

“Youngster, live another day and step aside!” The Grand Preceptor declared.

Long Qian snorted before saying, “Let’s see if you’re qualified to say such a thing!”

“ignorant!”

The Grand Preceptor directed his gaze at Long Zhe. “Are you sure you wish to do this!? Is your dragon race rebelling against the entire Martial Combat Continent!?”

Long Zhe didn’t say anything and observed everything taking place with a grave expression.

He had a powerful urge to kill Long Di here and now. If he did that, then he was sure that all of this would be resolved.

“Don’t even think about it!” Pebbles finally spoke up after feeling the slight killing intent that erupted from Long Zhe. “Since I called her here, I naturally have my own plan. You kill Long Di and I will die bringing fire to this world,” he growled.

Long Zhe was shocked, as this was the first time he had ever heard anything remotely similar to a dragon from Pebbles. Not only that, there was an unquestioning bid in his voice to carry out what he just said.

The Grand Preceptor couldn’t bother wasting any more time. “Heed my orders, all demons! Kill that Abyss Ghost! Anyone who stands in your way, kill them as well! Imperial Protectors take the Tri Successor away from here! Her Imperial Divine Edict has stripped her of her freedom!”

Everyone could tell that the Grand Preceptor was well and truly angry at this point. However, this was a chance for them to fish in muddy waters.

“Where do you think you’re going!?” Long Qian raised her hand, sending a wave of flames to engulf the incoming experts.

Boom!

A powerful force blasted the wave apart. “Your opponent is me!”

The Grand Preceptor swung his cane, and the void exploded as a terrifying strike blasted through space towards Long Qian.

She quickly assumed her true form, which was that of a massive dragon, thousands of metres long.

A powerful draconic aura then proliferated the terrain as Long Qian summoned her full power!

Boom!

The attack crashed into her, which sent her reeling back several miles!

Her scales cracked, and bright blood leaked from between them, shocking her. No one but her knew the power of her draconic body. For the Grand Preceptor to pierce her defences showcased his power.

However, this didn’t cause her to shrink back. Instead, she felt her blood heating up as a powerful battle intent surged.

Powerful flame energy erupted as Long Qian flew towards the Grand Preceptor.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Powerful explosions shook the sky as the two powerhouses fought. A powerful pressure spread out from the combat site as multiple blows tore the land below and scarred the skies above!

Powerful astral winds spread out that had the power to kill the strongest experts here.

The experts that were charging towards Shen Ling had paused due to the level of power these two monsters unleashed before they returned to their senses and resumed rushing towards Shen Ling.

“Why are they still attacking us!? I thought you stopped this with the Edict!”

Zi Yu asked when she saw the experts descending upon them.

“I only used the Edict to suppress them from bringing up this matter in the future,” explained Yaomu Shou.

“Why!?” Mina asked in surprise.

“Long Di told me to!” Yaomu Shou admitted.

“Young miss, come with us!” Imperial Protector Bai Yan urged Yaomu Shou to come with him and Imperial Protector Wan Li quietly.

“No! If I leave, they die!”

“Forgive me,” Wan Li slapped his palm together and an invisible force bound Yaomu Shou instantly.

“L-Let me go!” Yaomu Shou struggled, but no matter how much she tried, she couldn’t break free.

“Goodbye children.” Imperial Protector Ban Yan surprisingly told them farewell before he and Imperial Protector Wan Li took Yaomu Shou, Yaomu Baiyin, and even Zi Yu, and left.

And just like that, the last vestiges of their protection disappeared. The only ones left behind were Mina, and Shen Ling.

Shen Ling held on to Mina’s robes as she was still blind, scared of what was to come.

“It looks like we’re on our own here,” Mina declared solemnly. Xiannu Liang and Jia Yan were too far away to count as being with them. Not that their being nearby would make much of a difference.

“I-If you leave now, you can s-”

“Shut up,” Mina replied, silencing Yaomu Shou. “If I leave you now, the boy will never let me live it down.”

Yaomu Shou’s grip on Mina’s robes shook as her voice broke, “B-But you’ll di-”

“Did I not tell you to shut up?” Mina said in an annoyed tone. She would hit her in the head if it didn’t constitute as her hitting a blind person.

Shu!

The first expert arrived. It was a ninth fusion martial grandmaster with somatic essence blazing on his body!

Mina stood in front of Shen Ling with her arms outstretched. A saintly glow enveloped her body as she used whatever means she had at her disposal to survive this.

“Die!”

The expert let loose a domineering punch that tore through the void before a figure shot between them and the punch.

Boom!

A massive explosion spread out from the point of impact! Kicking up dust in all directions.

Shu! Shu! Shu!

The rest of the demon race experts descended and issued their own bevy of attacks, creating a scene of destruction and chaos!

“Senior sister Shen Ling!” Xiannu Liang had tears in her eyes when she saw the violent collision.

“Will you not yet take action Long Zhe!?”

A voice came from the fallout caused by the attacks.

“You better be right about this Long Tian Yan!” Large claws came swooping down, grabbing Xiannu Liang but leaving Jia Yan.

The experts that attacked earlier were shocked that someone’s voice came wafting from the area they let loose their attacks on.

The first demon that arrived found that his attack landed on… a cat? Was that a cat!?

It was THE cat!

CRAP!

Who else could it be but Pebbles who finally decided to make a move?

Both Shen Ling and Mina stood behind him unharmed.

Vhwoom!

A formless killing intent manifested from his small body that shocked everyone. Pebbles snarled in anger with an enkindled temper.

“From some of you, I smell Long Di’s blood!” Pebbles hissed coldly.

A feeling of death instantly sprouted in everyone’s heart compelling them to call forth their strongest defensive manoeuvres.

Whoosh!

“Infernal Wreathe!”

A terrifying flame ignited Pebbles’s body before the small figure shot forward, incinerating the expert before him before a scream could even be let out.

Boom!

He descended on these experts with reckless abandon in a bid to release the rage he had been building up since he saw Long Di’s injuries not long ago.

Screams and wails rang out as the cat tore through the ranks of demon race experts before him.

His tail blew several experts apart while the flames that lit his body set fire to even the void and melted the skin from the bones of these demons!

The heatwave alone caused the area to melt, creating a sea of lava.

Luckily, a massive claw came down, shielding Shen Ling and Mina from the heatwave.

“Long Zhe what are you doing!?”

An enraged roar from the distance stole the dragon’s attention.

He saw the Grand Preceptor rushing towards him at an insane rate. Long Qian was on the ground, her massive body lay unmoving with gaping wounds present all over.

Rage defined the Grand Preceptor as he sped over. The void blasted apart in lieu of his insane passage!

Rippling somatic essence devastated the surroundings as he charged up a terrifying attack.

Long Zhe only stared at him for a moment before he took up Pebbles who had killed over half of the powerhouses present in his rage before using his massive tail to shatter open the void!

“Lemme go! I’ll just kill em a little more! Just a little!” Pebbled struggled to escape to kill the rest of them, but Long Zhe didn’t dare let go.

Boom!

The Grand Preceptor then unleashed a violet palm that broke the sky vault, revealing the stars above!

A world-ending attack borne from the Grand Preceptor landed, swallowing the area for thousands of miles.

The stars above seemed as if they would fall from the sky, and the ten thousand dao shattered as a result.

The killing intent emanating from this blow would wipe out all those unlucky enough to even be grazed by it.

The experts that survived Pebbles’s assault earlier only barely managed to escape the area of effect.

A powerful explosion erupted where the attack landed, destroying the area for thousands of miles!

It took a long time for the dust and all else to calm down. But the Grand Preceptor shuddered in rage for all the experts to see for they knew as well as he did… that they escaped.

They had left the Demon Region.
