"Hey girl! Where you goin looking all sexy and shit?" She looks me up and down playfully.
"Girl stop. I'm going on a date with Kuminga." I whisper.
"Okayyy.. I see youuuu!" She damn near screams out.
"Girl be quiet damn. I'm tryna sleep." I hear Jordan's raspy voice from behind her. He comes from around her to give me a side hug. He goes behind Renee and wraps his arms around her waist and sets his head on her shoulder. I give her a look that says, 'Oh?'. She gives me the 'Yeah, that's what I said' look. I shake my head.
"Anyways, I'm gotta get going. I love y'all bye."
"We love you too! Get sumn..." She said smirking.
"Girl get yo ass in the bed. Damn." I said shaking my head big time.
_______________
I head outside the door thinking on how this date might go. 'Will a bitch pop up and claim him out of nowhere?' Now you know damn well... 'Will he take me out then never talk to me again?' Aaija, stop overthinking so much. Trust God!
'You right!'
I get in the car and take the 10 minute drive to Jonathan's house. I believe we're having a sleepover after the date because it's around 4 o' clock right now.
I park, get out and head to the front door. Before I even get the chance to ring the doorbell, I get startled by Jonathan opening the door with a huge smile on his face.
"Hey Aaija, I'm ready, are you?" He asks sheepishly.
"Yes, I just needa use the bathroom. Can you show me the way?" I say as he welcomes me in.
"Sure." He shows me the way, then tells me he'll be in the front waiting.
As I'm drying off my hands, I get a call from Renee.

"Hi, why are you calling me? I'm in the bathroom of this man's beautiful home."
"You sure? You wouldn't answer if you were on the toliet." I can feel her giving me a questioning face.
"Girl- whatever I gotta' go. He's waiting on me." I hang up before she can respond to me.
I finish drying my hands off and I open the door and I walk back to the door. He opens the door for me and locks it behind him. He walks me to the passenger side of his all matte black G-Wagon, and opens the door for me.
"Thank you, kind sir." I say holding his hand getting in.
"You're welcome, beautiful lady." He says, cheesing.
I smile back even harder knowing I've never had someone give me this attention other than Renee or my parents.
He walks over to his door and gets in and we buckle our seatbelts simultaneously.
"You ready?" He said turning his head to me.
"Always." I nod my head.
_____
I look up from my IPhone 13 and see we've arrived at Dave and Busters. He gets out and helps me out the car.
He holds my hand the whole way to door, he opens that for me, and pays for our cards as I stare at him admirably.
The registar gives us the wristbands and we step aside to put them on. I put his on while he puts on mine.
After I finish putting his, I look up and smile at him wholeheartedly. I'm so geeked and I love that for me.
"Whatchu' wanna' play first?"
"I don't really know, oou maybe this one." I jog to the game where you have to time the balls in these little holes.
"Can we play this one please?" I give him my 'Pleaseee' pout.
"Of course we can A. I put 250 credits on this, and we gon' use all of em." He says laughing.

_____
We're at about 30 credits and we both decided to do basketball last. I didn't tell y'all but I've hooped since I was I think 10. I stopped after college, because I didn't wanna' travel all over the world. I still got it forsure though.
"I'll beat yo' ass word." He shakes his head.
"I think you forgot, I'm in the NBA."
"That doesn't mean a damn thing." I say giving him a playful stank face.
"I didn't tell you I hooped for 10+ years?" He gives me a shocked face as I slide the card through the reader.
"Hell no. Now I gotta' bring my A game."
"I thought you would've already brought it." I raise an eyebrow.
"Whatever, start the game." He smiles rolling his eyes.
____
I end up winning the first and second but then he beats me by 25 in the third. I win the fourth by one point before we decide to go order food.
"What would you like today beautiful?" A handsome lightskin man asks me.
I smile awkwardly and order a 10 piece wing with s side of fries, with a strawberry lemonade.
Jonathan gets protective and wraps his right arm around my waist, and orders his food. The waitress looks at him with a mug, while Jonathan smiles at him dead in the eyes.
He tells us it'll be a minute and we walk to the table. They're cook calls out our order and Jonathan gets up and gets it.
He sits down and we bless our food, start eating when he asks me a question.
"You think he cute?"
"Yes.. Not cuter than you honestly."
"Ion' really like lightskins like that." I add.
"Hmmm." He says staring me in the eyes deeply.
"Why you do that??" My left eyebrow raises.
"I'm just focused on looking at you." I'm glad I'm not lightskin because you would've saw this redness all over my face.
"You calling me nice to look at?" I challenge.
"Sure am. Amazing to hang and talk to." I smile wholeheartedly.
"Same with you, Kuminga."
We finish eating and head out to the G- Wagon, as he opens my door for me.
"You wait here while I get your surprise."
I nod smiling hard as hell, grabbing my phone from my back pocket to call Renee.
"Alright."
Once he closes the door, I quickly wait for him to open the door to Daves'.
I ring Renee and she answers on the second ring.
"How'd it go?" She says impatiently.
"Girllll. It's going great. He's been opening doors and so polite to me. I love this for me."
"I love it for you too babes. Anyways, lemme' let you go before I get in trouble with this nigga Anthony."
"Ouu, what y'all finna' get into?" I wiggle my eyebrows.
"Shower, then go to the grocery store since this man done' ate up all my food."
"Wait... Shower, together?"
"Huh? The call cutting out. I can't hear you. I gotta' go. I love youuu." She fakes the static and hangs up quickly.
"Girl-"
I shake my head and laugh in disappointment as Jonathan comes out with this big ass panda bear stuffed animal.
He opens my door and hands me the panda and gets in his side as fast as possible.
"I'm heading home. Is there anywhere you wanna go?"
I shake my head saying 'No'.
"Ight' let's head out." He says looking at the car radio screen to back out.

Midara: Requiem
"When the alternative is extinction, all acts, no matter how heinous, are permitted." The story of a little necromancer who only wants to play with abominations against all that is holy dollies and her horsey, Mister Clackybones. Welcome to the novelization of one script I designed for a video game setting I call Midara (I selected the name of a genus of moths for symbolism purposes, not to be confused with anything else). Once upon a time, I dreamed of the setting being the next Final Fantasy. Long story short: Nope. Requiem itself is meant to be an Open-World RPG which adapts to the choices of the player. This is just one of many, many paths that one might follow in Requiem's gameplay, if it ever becomes a game.

A Will to Recognize
What do you think it takes to live? Is it strength? Power? Magic? Unparalleled intelligence? Or are they all mere accessories to the fact that life is irrelevant? Do you have what it takes to bear the burden of life? Does life even matter? I don't know, and to be frank, I am somehow alive; I was even able to function in society at one point. It frightens me to think no one else knows our purpose: not our parents, friends, or mentors. And I can't bring myself to surrender to any religion. But I do have a direction. A goal, one might say. My wish is to one day shout on top of the highest mountains, "Life doesn't frighten me!" But that won't happen. Because I died a long time ago. ... You're still here? That? Oh it was all in the script. You didn't think I'd actually say that cringey stuff, did you? ~Daniel

Ten Thousand Sallys
Imagine waking up in a hospital room, you can barely move. No one comes when you call. The only other person present is a little boy, who is, surprisingly, more help than you would expect. What would you do? This is the exact situation Sally finds herself in. Almost immediately she discovers that nothing is what she thinks it is. Not the boy, not the hospital, maybe not even herself. She is in deep trouble and the consequences will be dire if she can’t find a way out. She is a fighter, though, and just doesn't quit. As a baseline human, she starts as the lowest of the low and has to claw her way up in spite of being tangled in a shifting web of schemes and plots. She has to do her best, and maybe her best is pretty good. As Sally uncovers more about her situation, she finds that she has to be smart and tough and that in this place she needs to depend on her friends, who are using her as much as she is using them. This book contains themes concerning life, death, and body functions, light swearing, minimal nakedness, and should be suitable for most. Some pertinent info: Ten Thousand Sallys is a complete novel of approximately 140 pages in 20 chapters. Around 80,000 words. not too long, and maybe too short. Give it a read and let me know your opinion.
