《Azure Chronicles》Chapter 77: Terrorizing Rematch

Moments earlier, Zalkutaro stared off at the water-logged ancient tower and watched as a pod of less-blubbery seals swam around it. Zalkutaro couldn't help but break a smile as one of the seal pups bopped into another seal pup before creating a domino effect of seal pups bopping into each other.
Xelphia happily smiled as she sat/layed on the coliseum while watching the seals fumble onto the ancient tower. Xelphia's expression became slightly serious as she sat up straight and glanced behind herself when she heard Zuno's voice in her head.
"Seems our adversaries have become a little restless," Zalkutaro remarked as Zalroth's noise-cancelling magic barrier and noise-cancelling magic shield manifested around the coliseum. Zalkutaro smirked before the large magic explosion erupted into the magic shield roof with a loud bang which scared Kunai awake.
Zalkutaro lightly tugged on Kunai's tail as he felt the grip of Kunai's tail tighten around his neck. Zalkutaro lightly tapped Kunai on the face until she snapped out of her startled state and quickly hopped onto Zalkutaro's shoulder while puffing up her tails. The trio watched as a large fireball soared into and arched through the air.
"Do you want to try and counter that?" Zalkutaro asked while looking at Xelphia and pointing his thump at the large fireball. Xelphia slumped her arms and dumbfoundedly looked at Zalkutaro before she crossed her arms and front two spider legs.
"Do I have to?" Xelphia whined. Zalkutaro shook his head in disbelief before taking in a long breath. The fireball careened for the trio but in a split second Zalkutaro whistled and the fireball bursted into firey confetti.
"Why was I even put on this team, I don't even have any ranged attacks," Xelphia commented as she slumped onto the floor and sighed.
Meanwhile, Zalroth, and co, stared down at the arena stage as a torrent of magic attacks erupted from the ground around the arena whilst Terrorizer stood at the centre of the arena stage. Although Terrorizer's face was obscured Zalroth could tell Terrorizer's attention was aimed solely at him.
"You sure you don't mind us fighting him by ourselves, Mr Serious?" Zalroth remarked whilst turning to face Zuno.
"Although I think the fighter with light magic capabilities should fight a heathian, I will trust Chronia and your's judgment," Zuno stated as he created a light mana halberd and handed it to Chronia. Zalroth and Chronia gave Zuno a childish grin before Zalroth lent the back of his legs against the booth's windowsill before doing a scuba-diver dive out of the booth.
"You two should probably vacate the premise before things get too hectic," Zuno mentioned to Kikou and Kiki. Kikou agreed with Zuno before he picked up Kiki(who had been scared to sleep by the magic explosion) and hurried out of the announcer's booth.

Terrorizer watched Zalroth dive bombed for the arena before doing a front flip and effortlessly doing a superhero landing with his open hand. Zalroth smirked as Chronia said she'd give that landing an eight out of ten while mentioning Zalroth's timing was slightly off.
"It's always timing with you," Zalroth playfully remarked as he rose to his feet. Terrorizer continued to seemingly glare at Zalroth as he and Chronia continued to banter; Terrorizer tightly clasped his hand into a fist which made a crystal grinding sound, that got Zalroth and Chronia's attention.
"Oh sorry... didn't mean to make you feel left out but I figured you wouldn't have anything interesting to say," Zalroth quipped while he struggled to not smugly grin. Terrorizer's crystal grinding sounds continued to reverberate before his cloak exploded into blazing purple embers.
Zalroth couldn't help but smile with a cocky demeanour as he saw the Terrorizer: sporting six, purple crystalline arms with large crystal kite shields, a crystal fibre scarf-like wrapped around his neck and a featureless face with a glowing magenta ring in the middle of his head.
"Seems like he evolved again; guess there's no point in hol-," Zalroth managed to say before feeling Chronia staring into the back of his skull. Zalroth glanced behind himself and looked into Chronia's eyes, which said you better not do anything unnecessary, before sighing. Zalroth relaxed his shoulders as he entered his Sage mode and activated his Lightning Amp with crackling thunder echoing through the air.
A quiet breeze blew past the cocky Zalroth and callous Terrorizer whilst they intently watched each other's micro-movements. Chronia had a serious look on her face as she stared at Terrorizer while she slightly lifted her nose.
Chronia, though she tried to stop it, let out a cute sneeze; almost like Chronia's sneeze was the starting signal, Zalroth and Terrorizer instantly lunged at each other and coated their fists in mana. A 2D mana shockwave exploded out from the collision of the duo's fists and it slightly cut through the darksteel reinforced arena stage. Zalroth whistled as he stared at the engraving in the stage.
Terrorizer threw a punch and partway through the punch Chronia disappeared from Zalroth's tails, making the Terrorizer's eye ring spin around. Zalroth weaved around Terrorizer's fist before kneeing Terrorizer in the stomach, causing small cracks to form. Zalroth followed up with a swing kick to the side of Terrorizer's head and at the same time Chronia struck the side of Terrorizer's legs with the light mana halberd.
The combo attack spun the Terrorizer off his feet and before Terrorizer could recover Zalroth slammed a massive wind sphere into him. Chronia quickly layed flat on the floor as Zalroth flexed his arm, before launching the wind sphere and Terrorizer flying across the coliseum. The wind sphere slammed Terrorizer into the upper part of the arena area wall and continued to push against Terrorizer as he blocked the wind sphere with four of his arms while using the other two and his legs to push against the wall.

"You could've warned me you were going to do that," Chronia murmured as she climbed onto and sat back on Zalroth's tails like they were a beanbag.
"Well, it's not like you gave me a chance," Zalroth remarked before Terrorizer ripped the wind sphere apart as the arm-mounted, crystal shields he blocked the wind sphere with began to glow.
"Right... Zalina mentioned, the moment I woke up, that the guy's azure ability was to store kinetic energy into his arm shields... it must have manifested due to the further mutation," Zalroth remarked.
"Why are you acting like you haven't seen this before?" Chronia rhetorically asked as she lightly poked the back of Zalroth's head. Zalroth mentioned those previous times the persons' azure abilities manifested before they fully turned. Chronia playfully rolled her eyes and asked Zalroth if her hourglass was in his tails or Lola's magic backpack. Zalroth was about to answer but was cut off by Chronia lightly chopping him on the top of his head.
"No, I didn't leave it at the adventurer's guild building and don't you think it's rude to tell me to just use my precious future vision when your precious sweetheart is pleading for your help?" Chronia whined while putting on an obviously fake tantrum and ruffling Zalroth's ears.
"I feel like those responses were from two different timelines," Zalroth mentioned with Chronia huffing at this factually true statement while trying to deny it by stating Zalroth probably still thought both of them. After a short pause, the two quietly giggled while lightly pressing their cheeks together.
"It's in the usual place right?" Chronia asked as she handed the light mana halberd to Zalroth.
"Probably~" Zalroth playfully snarked before Chronia, with an equally playful demeanour, pushed Zalroth's face while using the momentum from the push to roll backwards into Zalroth's tails and fully disappearing into them. Zalroth smirked and turned to face Terrorizer before noticing he was gone.
"Wonder where he-" Zalroth thought to himself before he tucked-n-rolled out of the way of a large purple fireball; the fireball smashed into the arena stage as Zalroth rolled around mid and landed on his feet. Zalroth darted his eyes upwards and was greeted by the cluster of purple fireballs directly above him.
"Oh...," Zalroth muttered before the fireballs collided into him and exploded at point-blank range. Terrorizer loomed in the air directly above the arena stage as more large purple fireballs formed around him.
"Shoot, the bandages got singed... Akari's probably going to be upset," Zalroth mentioned as he fanned the smoke away and pulled the burned bandages off his toned body.
Terrorizer's eye ring narrowed as Zalroth was shaking the remnants of the burned bandages. The Terrorizer slammed his hands together and gathered the majority of the fireballs into a concentrated sphere while the remaining fireballs rocketed down for Zalroth.
Zalroth smirked as he cartwheeled and hopped out of the way of the fireballs. Zalroth created a large magic barrier before kicking it into the air; the magic barrier raced through the air and sliced through the remaining fireballs before Zalroth landed on the magic barrier and surfed on the magic barrier up towards Terrorizer. Zalroth gathered lightning mana into his free hand and concentrated it into a lightning blade as the intensity of the Terrorizer's attack reached its peak.
Zalroth felt a wave of heat blast past him as he drew closer to Terrorizer before the concentrated fireball expanded and exploded into a massive fire beam. Zalroth smirked as he kickflipped his magic barrier and front-flipped over the fire beam. Zalroth landed back on the magic barrier before using it to rail grind over the fire beam.
Terrorizer glared as he pulled two of his arms away from the fire beam before firing a barrage of purple lightning bolts that curved over the fire beam and racing for Zalroth. Zalroth remained calm as the lightning bolts were inches from him, and the second before they would have hit him all the lightning bolts abruptly arched in every direction away from Zalroth.
"Thanks for the assist, Xelphia" Zalroth remarked telepathically to Xelphia, while her arms and legs wobbled as she had her arms stretched and had an uncomfortable expression on her face.
"You could've warned me I'd feel a feedback when using the electro-magnetism ability...," Xelphia jittery stuttered before slumping to the ground from exhaustion.
Terrorizer tore his arms away from his fire beam, as it faded away, and threw a sonic-boom-generating punch at Zalroth; however, a small rainbow coloured appeared in front of Terrorizer's fist and before he could pull his fist back he was punched in the face by his own fist and was sent flying away.
"Hah! I told you it would work, Minia," Nola remarked before she ducked back into a different portal and the sound of Minia angrily groaning echoed from the portal as it closed. Zalroth rolled his eyes as the magic barrier he was on came to a stop before he raised his lightning-covered hand at Terrorizer.
Terrorizer crashed into the magic barrier-coated audience stands before backspinning and unintentionally landing on his feet. Terrorizer darted his head upwards as a bright cyan glow appeared above him before he spotted the swarm of snake-shaped lightning bolts descending right for him; Terrorizer coated his body in purple flames before sprinting away from the lightning snakes.
