He pulled back before I could even get a word out.
"Osiris-"
"I should not have done that." He interjected turning away and heading back into the woods.
He had just cut me off like that. Osiris just did something so intimate yet...
How could he just turn away like that? I had questions, I had thoughts, I had feelings. My feelings were a jumbled mess of both wonder and desire. I didn't want to figure it out on my own not when we were both here in this moment together.
I caught up to him grabbing his shoulder to turn him around.
"Don't, Phina." He brushed me off. I hesitated slightly before I grabbed hold of his arm tighter yanking him back.
There was shock in his face though he tried to hide it with a scowl, and for a moment I thought I had crossed a line. I didn't know what I was doing or why and before I knew it the words were stumbling out of my mouth.
"Osiris, can I ask you something?"
"Yes."
"Why exactly didn't you tell me the truth about us?" I swallowed the lump in my throat as I watch Osiris piece together any answer.
His eyes deepened before he shook his head and revealed his natural eyes. "I-"
My back pocket buzzed as my phone rang. I tapped the button to silence it but not before Osiris said, "You should take that."
There was something in his tone but I couldn't put my finger on it. He was trying to dodge the question.
"No, I want- I deserve an answer."
He sighed licking his lip and rubbing the back of his neck. His finger curled around the back of his neck when my phone rang again. This time I couldn't ignore it, the thought of one of my parents or Mara calling for help gave my heart palpitations.
I didn't even read the contact on the phone before I slid my finger across the screen to answer.
"Hel-"
"Seraphina, where are you?" His voice pierced my ears.
I had to pull the phone away from my ear, my hearing was all too sensitive at the moment for the shouting. Osiris took a step closer toward me. Looking up at him I could see his eyes fixated on the phone.
Missing the first bit of his shouting I was left confused when I pressed the phone back to my ear. "-he punched me Sera! He's deranged brother fucking punched me."
"W-what? Why would-"
"Because he's fucking crazy Sera. I've been telling you from the start these brothers are no good... shit..." I heard him sniffle on the other line. "-I think my nose is broken."
"Andy, I don't understand any of this. Desmond wouldn't do something like that-"
"You're defending him? What the fuck is wrong with you Sera? I'm telling you he's assaulted me and your first response is to protect him? Are you-"
The phone was snatched from my hand. Osiris clenched his jaws as he released a heavy breath.
"What did I tell you about talking to her like that? Talk to me like that if you want, but not Phina." Osiris was on the verge of growling. How he didn't stunned me.
"If you're so unhappy why don't you just leave then? Good, I dare you." Osiris hung up handing me back my phone.
He started for the woods again this time there was more tension in the muscles of his back. "We need to get moving."

"Wow," I tugged his arm back. "-what the hell was that?"
"You're little boy- you friend is determined to go back to Dark Titan and he's stated that you'll be going back with him."
My hand fell just as my heart did. "Andy's leaving?"
Osiris didn't bother to turn around as he continued. "Come on, you can't stay out here much longer anyways."
If he had said this earlier I would have believed it. I was shaking more than a maraca in a mariachi band, but the fact that he only said it now just seemed like a poor attempt at steering away from the question.
It didn't matter what I thought though, I just wanted to get back to the cabin now because it seemed like all hell had broken loose. Desmond was a hot head, there was no doubt it, and the thought of Andy squaring up against him... well that image had just left me queasy.
Andy was human, not a half breed nor a werewolf, but a hundred percent human. Getting a punch to the face by a werewolf was no easy blow to take. From the sound of his voice and his broken gasps of air it was clear he was telling the truth. I had just hoped Desmond didn't cause permanent damage of went after him again.
My friend wasn't the best at keeping his comments to himself and the more I thought over the predicament Desmond wasn't much better either.
Lost in thought I had bumped into a furry mass. The dark soft brown coat tickled my face. Brought back to reality I eyed Osiris wolf briefly before grabbing fistfuls of fur and hoisting myself up.
There was a soft apologetic whimper from his wolf before Osiris took off back down the mountain.

I didn't wait for Osiris to shift back into his wolf and get changed, there wasn't enough time to waste on something so mundane. The front door to the cabin was ajar and I slammed my forearm against the door as I burst inside.
I thought I had prepared myself mentally for what was on the other side but nothing could have prepared me for what my eyes witnessed.
The cabin was an utter wreck. The dining room china was thrown and shattered everywhere. Some of the tables chairs were missing legs, having been snapped off.
My hand moved to cover my mouth as I turned to move toward the living room instead. The dining room was too chaotic to make sense of, but the living room was worse.
The cushions on the sofa were torn to shreds. The thick leather of the cushions were mere scraps laying in random places of the room. The soft stuffing of the sofa were sprinkled on book shelves, the floor and the coffee table. Picture frames and paintings were hanging barely to the wall, some even had holes punched into them. At least they looked like they were punched through.
"Phina, come here." Osiris's voice caused me to jump. A high pitch squeal escaped my lips before I could snap them shut.
"W-what happened?" I asked looking up at him. "Where's Andy? I have to find Andy. I have to know he's alright."
Panic was building up inside wrapping a vise around my lungs. Even the smallest of breathes seemed exhausting to take in.
Once I knew Andy was alright I could relax but for now all I could think about doing was searching for him.
I pushed past Osiris to make make my way up stairs. Maybe Andy was in his room waiting.

I was starting up the stairs before I whirled around to face Osiris at the base of the staircase. "Phina, let me check first. Stay down here, please."
There was a plea in his voice that made my panic worse. What did he fear so much that left him pleading for me to stay behind?
I pulled my arm away. "Come with me. Please, I'll let you go first. I have to know he's okay."
He bit the side of inside of his cheek before he nodded and pushed past me. Whatever awaited us he too was unsettled. Some how between the time it took me to get in the cabin and survey the rooms he had managed to put back on his clothes from earlier. The only part of him bare were his feet and I wouldn't have noticed if I weren't for the fact that he was leading us up the stairs.
"He's got to go." Desmond's voice was low, empty of any clear emotion.
I couldn't see Desmond from where I stood, we hadn't made it up all the stairs. Osiris wasn't allowing me to climb any further up either. The palm of his hand was gentle planted between my collar bones.
My heart thundered and I knew he felt and heard it too. If he could he wasn't showing it as his eyes narrowed slightly as they gazed down the hallway.
"What did you do Des?"
Desmond scoffed. I listened as heavy foot steps came closer to us. Osiris lightly pushed me backward. I had to take a step down as not to stumble and fall.
"What did I do? Why don't you ask this pest what he did, because you'll be relieved that I got to him before you."
Now I was more lost than ever. I swatted Osiris's hand away and moved around him until I stood on the second floor.
My heart dropped.
Desmond was in the middle of pulling Andy out of my bedroom, his face littered in black and blue. His bottom lip was swollen and split, his hair slick with sweat and clung to his forehead. He looked like he had just got done with a boxing match except for the fact that his chest was scratched open with four slashes.
My mouth fell open as Andy groaned in pain.
"What did you do to him?" I accused stepping closer to examine further. The slashes were deeper than I first thought the flesh was white and slick just beneath the crimson blood. Those cuts bore deep.
"He tried to kill-" Andy croaked through chapped lips.
Desmond yanked Andy's t-shirt back causing him to let out a choking gasp. "She didn't ask you. This isn't the time for one of your pity parties human."
"Desmond-"
"Let him go." Osiris demanded cutting me off.
I didn't know what was best; for me to fight for my friend or for the older brother to handle his tempered flaring younger brother. Nothing seemed right at the moment. Nothing felt real at the moment.
Desmond released his shirt with distain. Andy wobbled on his feet, rubbing vigorously at his neck. When he dropped his hands you could see the undeniable red hot marks of fingers wrapped around his neck.
"You choked him?" I couldn't help the building fire inside me that wanted to be unleashed from the cocoon of my body. My fists clenched and unclenched at my sides. "Why?"
"Why don't you ask him?" He redirected glaring over at Andy who was leaning against the wall in desperation. He looked like he was mere seconds from sliding down the wall, his legs too weak to keep him upright.
I moved closer to get a better look at my friend. "Don't move any closer, Phina." Osiris eyed his brother with unrest.
Desmond rolled his eyes with a low grumble. "I'm not unhinged Ozzie, besides once you hear what he'd done to Sera, well... let's just say he's lucky I got a hold of him before you did."
Now I was more bewildered than I had been. What could Andy possibly have done to me? He had raised his voice, but that didn't constitute a beating.
Andy cleared his throat, keeping his eyes trained on the hallway floor. "I didn't do anything she doesn't already know."
Both of the brother heads turned to me and my eyes darted between them. Osiris gave me a look that told me absolutely nothing so I looked to Desmond and I regretted it almost instantly. His face was something of twisted horror, shocked that I knew something. What exactly? I wasn't sure and from the looks of it I wasn't sure I wanted to know.
"Spit it out." Osiris demanded stepping up to Andy. His height towered over my friend like a menacing shadow ready to swallow him into a dark intangible abyss.
"Sera and I slept together years ago when we were in high school. There," I shot a glare at Desmond. "Happy?"
Desmond grabbed hold of his shirt once against hoisting him up off his feet and pressed him tight against the wall. "Do I look happy to you? Stop being a smart ass and tell them the truth." Desmond put his other hand around his neck squeezing until Andy let out a hoarse cough.
"That is the truth." He reiterated through harsh gasps.
Desmond dropped him with a growl pulling out a phone from his jacket pocket. "Fuck it, I gave you a chance to own up to your shit. I'll do it myself." He unlocked the phone, Andy's screen saver of his vacation to the Rocky's popped up before disappear with a video.
Desmond handed me the phone with a mournful expression. "I promise I didn't watch it all. I didn't have to nor did I want to."
If my heart wasn't already on the floor it was now. I tapped the play button. Familiar voices from high school laughed and joked, their faces concealed by the darkness.
The camera view moved around to quickly to get a good view of anything in particular. It was like that for a few seconds until an all too familiar face came into view. Andy was hovering over a bed as if doing a push up.
The camera zoomed in. There was barely enough light to see much else but the moon light that seeped through the window beside the bed illuminated the familiar golden hair I had recognized from the time I could speak.
The curls were engraved in my brain, the golden locks of hair impossible to be mistaken for anyone else's. They were mine. I wasn't moving, I looked like a dead body, limp and unmoving.
My brows knotted as the video continued. I wanted to throw the phone away, chuck it over the banister and hoped it broke into a million pieces but I watched on.
"No, he didn't." Someone said in surprise.
"He did. The fucking human was so obsessed he spiked her drink with wolfsbane, the mutant might be a wolf after all." The person holding the phone chuckled.
I threw the phone at Andy's face feeling a twinge of satisfaction when he hissed in pain. Tears brimmed my eyes as I shook with fury.
He told me I started it. He told me I wanted him and I was so drunk I just kept chasing after him. Andy told me I wouldn't leave him alone. This was anything but what he had ever told me.
"Sera!"
I ran down the stairs Andy's shouts falling on deaf ears. Osiris had given Desmond some sort of order. I only heard a sentence something sounding like having his brother drop Andy off at the boarder.
He'd never survive the track back to Dark Titan on foot but at this point I didn't care. In all honesty I hoped he freeze in the winter forest. Maybe then he'd feel the pain I felt now.
Desmond discovered Andy had a video of Andy raping an unconscious Seraphina, and beats him up for it. He made Andy own up to himself to Seraphina who believed that she was the one that initiated the sex and it was conceptual but the video proved other ways. Seraphina throws his phone at him and Osiris demands he leave immediately.
