Combined with the fact that a powerful demon was killed in one blow earlier simply for trying to peer deeper into the tribulation was something that cast a shadow in their hearts.

However, hearing what the Grand Preceptor had just said caused a heavy stone to be lifted from their hearts.

It never doubted Long Di. If he could survive his uncle, he could survive an insignificant Heavens.

Another thunderous crash resounded as one another bolt far stronger than the first came roaring down!

Space warped and collapsed under its power as nine divine halberds encircled it!

The suppressive nature of this attack weighed greatly on Long Di and Lord Whiskers!

“Hiss!” Lord Whiskers snarled and hissed at this attack as its claws released a faint light.

‘Lightning spear!’

Powerful lightning energy surged forth before shaping into a lightning spear.

The air screamed in protest as the lightning spear rocketed towards the multi-weapon fortified heavenly levyance lightning bolt!

Then they collided.

A shocking explosion rocked the land, but the bolt came crashing down with its speed undaunted.

“Reargh!”

Lord Whiskers unleashed a claw strike that left ripples in the void before it smashed into the lightning strike!

B-B-B-Boom!

Several weapons collapsed, weakening the lethality of the lightning strike.

“Awesome Lord Whiskers! Is that a new divine ability?”

“Myah!”

“You’re right, action now. Questions later!”

Realigning his priorities, Long Di released a whirlwind of sabre strikes against the lightning strike!

Countless sabre lights swept through the air before they buffeted the rest of the weapons orbiting the lightning bolt!

Several sabre lights landed on one weapon before it was destroyed. Obviously, the lightning-attributed nature of his weapon and his cultivation technique wasn’t particularly effective against the same thing.

“Well, I’m sorry. The lightning isn’t doing crap and my sabre strikes are next to useless!” he yelled to explain himself.

The two lightning bolts came barreling towards Long Di and Lord Whiskers with the intent to kill them both!

The void trembled in its wake as it descended with unmatched fury and an intention of inimicality!

Sha! Sha! Sha!

Lord Whiskers unleashed flurry after flurry of claw strikes to eat away at the strength of these two bolts as fast as it possibly could!

S-S-S-S-Shu!

Long Di didn’t stand on reservation and let loose a bevy of slashes imbued with his crimson horizon earth flame!

B-B-B-B-Boom!

The strikes landed, causing several explosions to ring out across the plains!

The experts who were observing from far away, the imperial protectors included, were in awe when they saw how Long Di and Lord Whiskers fought against the heavenly execution.

They, as strong as they were, were feeling a mountain of pressure and experienced a type of despair in the face of such power. They couldn’t even begin to imagine the kind of pressure that Long Di and Lord Whiskers were under.

They weren’t sure if they would even be able to raise their blades in the face of such suppression.

This was the kind of reverence and fear that cultivators had towards the Heavens. What hope was there in fighting against the Heavens itself!?

“Hmph!”

Long Zhe snorted when he saw their expressions. He stole a glance at Pebbles who watched everything with a cool expression.

He then directed his gaze back towards Long Di and nodded in slight admiration. He also looked up with a complicated expression. He had never felt such hostility from the Heavens before.

“Survive this boy!” he growled. “If it hates you that much, then you must be a threat to it.”

Finally, Long Di found the formula that worked as a majority of the destructive intent in the lightning energy was grounded by him and Lord Whiskers.

His earth flame was a decent weapon to aid him in his fight against the lightning attacks.

A torrent of pure lightning energy was absorbed into his body!

He didn’t know why, but he felt as if he could take in more energy for some reason.

As the pure energy from the two bolts was being absorbed by Long Di, a click rang out in his body like a lock of some kind was opened.

Lord Whiskers felt the change and looked to Long Di in shock!

As if sensing the threat he had become, the clouds above transformed as well.
