《Suffocate My love》Chapter 79

To think that his son is asleep with Kijad in the next tent was a bit of an unbelievable truth but to be honest despite him acting as if he preferred less disciples to partake on this mission, he is glad that Adrian is stubborn like his mother and stuck to Kijad like glue.
Kijad had told him that Adrian is sulking and wants to tag along but Jakhyer thought that exposing Adrian to this and that he isn't completely sure about the creature's abilities. Given Adrian's body, letting him go around magical components that Jakhyer had given the green light to, would be dangerous. He had asked Reed about it and he just said he can't ascertain for sure if Adrian will be safe but if anything he will react like the first time. Hopefully that it will be subtle and not as aggressive as history. If Reed would come now and just say that Adrian is safe, Jakhyer would be at ease. However if he says otherwise, it's not like he can push back Adrian and have him agree without exposing a lot of secrets.
He contemplates that maybe he should go and see if he is sleeping comfortably. Adrian might be a bit demanding but his body is sensitive to a lot of things. His mother had made a fuss about him when she was still alive but now that Adrian is growing up, a lot of reasons become visible. He is blooming in the opposite direction, he is becoming more childish. His features and all the diseases that he experience are known for being aggressive during infant hood but he is only having them now and as they are a lot worse.
On that decision he stood up . Just then someone moved the tent and shut it . The noise erupted from the royal's tent. It seemed so unnatural and without intent to cause harm so much so that Jakhyer wasn't even triggered to charge.
He rotated ever so effortlessly and he glared to their tent.
Joln was stealing glances of him and when he noted him stand , he got startled and accidentally made a noise. He tiptoed back to his blanket and he threw his body inside. Within seconds he had concealed himself
His conscience is telling Jakhyer that he shouldn't be worried about it but on the other hand if he doesn't take caution he might regret it especially that a few moments ago there was a suspicious noise. Going to their tent would be invading their privacy but what if he doesn't go and they get injured on his account. Three things would make this worse. First, he heard the noise and he went out for that reason so when he heard a second noise from a tent and he ignored it , that doesn't show responsibility. Second if he says he didn't hear the second noise, shouldn't he have atleast patrolled to nullify the hazard from the first source of noise. Third, if he didn't hear both the noises , does that make him a good idea to be leading disciples on a lethal mission like this. The last reason which would only be voiced by bootlicking patriots is that if he says he heard both or one of the noises yet dismissed it , how dare he doesn't highlight the safety of the prince?

He journeyed silently to towards the place and with each step he would raise a quarter of an inch above the ground so as not to alert whatever that could be ,should it be dangerous.
Joln was tense as he tried to act accordingly. He knows he didn't blow his cover but if this becomes a big deal, everyone would know that he was looking at Jakhyer in the middle of the night. He doesn't know why Jakhyer went out but knowing who he is , he doesn't need one to go out as he could have been scouting . Even just going out for a breath is a valid enough reason for him. Everyone is qualified for that.
He produced a glowing blue-diamond fire oracle then made it orbit around the tent. Joln saw it and he tried to act calm but he was a bit unsettled by that . So that unfortunately and autonomously elevated his heart rate. His meridians started to burn so he kicked off the blanket making Jakhyer freeze the orb in place.
He now more than ever knows that whatever made the second noise was harmless and is one of the students. But from this tent who was staring at him is beyond his ability to guess.
" Take it. It will help you sleep", he made another orb and he floated it through the tent doors.
He wasn't sure how they were sleeping so he just let it be in the center of the space. Unfortunately it was dislocated. Syin was the one sleeping in the middle and Joln was to the right with Valian to the left. Joln hesitated to take it but he was burning. He is well aware that Jakhyer doesn't know it's him so it's a safe bet that it could be Syin. And Syin trusts Jakhyer while Jakhyer would never hurt Syin so the orb must work.
He reached for it and as he touched, it changed to a small greenish cherry . Soon after he placed it on his tongue. Surprisingly it was flavored almost similar to a dessert. Emair had mentioned that very few drugs have taste to them as most drugs aren't designed to be administered orally. However the few that are edible are for healing cultivators or civilians and so they tend to have a fruity of glucose polysaccharide taste
As he was doing that , a prolonged snicker was propagated from a bush about a few miles from the tent

Without a second thought, both Joln and Jakhyer erupted and flew towards that direction. Joln had peeled off a common-use sword and tailed Jakhyer. By that time , Jakhyer had already emitted streaks of thunder ready to attack. All cultivators didn't bring any powerful earth-shattering inventory , The only ones they would get is about two hundred miles to the east of here. It was still under talk of who better to go there and get the weapons or to see if it the creatures need the weapons. Jakhyer suggested that Kijad fore to see that and he will go get the weapons but Kijad doesn't want to part with Jakhyer.
They migrated towards that direction but Jakhyer was hugely faster than Joln who was doing the best to keep up to him .
They chased a small black formless shadow that was zooming a lightning speed. It imitated the appearance of a small child but it ran on its fours almost like a goblin or gremlin.Joln's attention was magnetized towards the shadow that he pushed himself to more than three times his maximum speed . As for his teacher he wasn't going to back down .
He checked on him and he was practically flying on two feet. Joln would be much quicker if he transformed into a wolf but then again Jakhyer had never seen Joln as a wolf even during endurance training. Nevertheless the whole process would delay him if he transformed that
Before long they had ran over a yard and just a few more miles later, the shadow broke into a group of eight fragments and they blasted for Jakhyer who exploded them with one slash . This was the first time he had assailed the creature ever since he chased it. Though there was minimal contact he had noticed that the grotesque being sponged some of the energy before it exploded.
However Joln couldn't say the same thing because his weapon was just too basic. He slashed one and three more would take its place . To his misfortune, what emerged were armless children without faces with a snicker that almost sounded like a hiss.
They surrounded him faster than he could obliterate them so it was counterproductive. In ten seconds he had hopelessly multiplied the things.Plus him running so furiously and an aftermath of being semi-shocked by Jakhyer 's orb , he was getting weaker by the instant. More often than not ,the shadows would jump onto him before he shook them off. Others purposefully ran through him
He killed nine of them and then he fell to the ground on his knees , panting heavily. These shadows were sucking his energy . He struggled to elevate two times but on the third before he could get assaulted to the margin of death,Joln blocked the blows by creating a dome around him and blocking the shadows .
He released nine shields that resonated outwards akin ripples and each time the germ-goblins would become less and less visible almost as if they are fading
" Let me out.", Joln yelled. He was frustrated by everything.
First it was coming here and not being able to be with Ryle. Next Ryle staying with Jakhyer. Then Jakhyer almost catching him spying. Actively it's being trapped with Jakhyer and finally Jakhyer prioritizing his wellbeing in this manner
" It's not safe for magic users.", He spoke softly in a distance. The goblins were adamant to die and thanks to Joln , there were really too many
" You are one too.."; " ..l mean ..", he stammered because in his brain he sounded like that he is worried
