《Out-Flirt Me - Anakin x Reader》Chapter 36- Mostly Dead

Anakin led you and Auren onto the ship while she smiled like a maniac. After she had accepted your proposal for her to be your bridesmaid, she hadn't stopped smiling. By now her cheeks probably hurt and the little wrinkles on her nose would be there for a while.
"What took you so long?" Obi-Wan asked from the pilot's seat.
Anakin responded while sitting next to him, "They were locked up."
"In a cell?" Ashoka sat next to Auren.
"No, in a room where we could see you guys in the arena."
Everyone went silent, no one wanted to relive that. Ashoka and Obi-Wan were still scared, Anakin was tense, and Auren and you were still in a bit of shock. It was terrifying watching three of your closest friends, basically family, in a life-or-death situation.
Obi-Wan began to fly off of the little platform at the castle. With Anakin as his co-pilot, he eventually made his way to a dark forest. Night had fallen and the sky was purple once more. Storms rippled while lighting struck the dead trees, setting fire to the wood.
"I have a bad feeling about this," Ashoka commented as a storm cloud came overhead.
Obi-Wan tried to get away as fast as possible, but he wasn't quick enough. The ship was struck by lightning and the power disappeared. The ship began to go down as Anakin and Obi-Wan argued. You, on the other hand, got to work and climbed from your seat.
"Master?" Auren asked as you climbed backward.
Using your chair to push you up, you took off a panel in the back. It slid forward and hit Anakin in the back of the head.
"What the-"
"Sorry!" You got to a little button behind three wires.
Your hands were shaking but you kept working. Pressing it, the emergency backup power came on. The regular backup power had been taken out by the strike but there was extra power that was absorbed into the ship from the lightning.
As Obi-Wan tried to pull up, he asked, "How did you know how to do that?"
"I've flown with you two enough to know where the emergency systems are. Thankfully, I remembered."
The girls laughed as Obi-Wan sighed, first at you then at the ship.
"The controls aren't working."
"What do you mean? We have power." You climbed back into your seat as you got closer to the dead trees.
"I have a feeling it's something about this damn planet!"
Everyone chuckled at his frustration, but it stopped as you hit the trees. Oh, how you hated flying. The ship shook and rattled as you broke the branches. Eventually, it hit the ground and everyone was knocked out.
~~Anakin's POV~~
"Master, Master wake up!"
I awoke to yelling and my shoulder being shaken. When I opened my eyes, Ashoka looked terrified.
"Snips? What's wrong?"
Sitting up, I tried to take in my surroundings. We were on the ground in the dead forest with the remains of the ship just ahead.
"I don't know where the others are. You were just laying here and you were out cold."
"Well, let's find them then." I groaned and stood up as Ashoka looked around, "Did you check the ship?"
"No, I saw you first."
I walked toward the ship, or what was left of it, with Ashoka at my side. Y/n must be here somewhere. Hopefully, she is awake with Auren or Obi-Wan. As I got to the ship, I took a good look at it and the damage. There was no way to fly this.

Snap!
Both of our heads snapped to my left. A twig or something had been broken and I could see someone walking this way. Ashoka had pulled out her lightsaber but I could sense that it was Obi-Wan.
"Why did you have to sneak up on us like that, Master?" I chuckled as I walked over to help him out of the bushes.
"I didn't mean to, Anakin." He took my hand and climbed out.
Then I could see Auren behind him and if Auren was here then Y/n must be too. I reached out and helped Auren out of the bushes.
"Thanks," She said as she brushed off her hands and I looked back into the bush, "Have you seen my Master?"
After a second or two, I looked back, "She's not with you?"
"No, we assumed she was with you." Obi-Wans voice was full of worry.
Auren walked off toward the other side of the clearing, "I bet she's around here somewhere, we'll find her."
Her and Ashoka searched around on the other side while Obi-Wan walked around where he was. I walked into the ship to see if by some luck she was in there. Everything was destroyed but when I got to the cockpit, something was off.
The seats weren't too badly broken except for one. Y/n's. Her seat was in pieces on the ground with scratches all over it and something else. Running my finger over them, I could tell what they were. Fingernail scratches, there was a struggle. As my heartbeat quickened, I moved around the seat parts.
Blood. So much blood.
The back of the seat parts were covered in blood and it smeared across my hands. It was hers, I could sense it. My breath shook as well as my hands.
"No, no, no..." I breathed as I slid away, "no, no, please no."
Her blood was all over the ground now, all around me. I pulled on my hair, rocking myself. I should have saved her, if I was strong enough I could've. Rubbing my face, I tried to come back to reality. She couldn't be gone, she has to be alive.
Yet when I opened my eyes, the blood was still there. I could almost hear the screams, feel her pain.
"Anakin? Are you in h- What happened?"
Obi-Wan looked around, a broken seat with scratches and blood everywhere. I looked up at him and his eyes went wider.
"Are you hurt? Why is there blood everywhere?" He inched closer to me.
"Not- Not mine. H-hers."
"Who's? Oh, it's Y/n isn't it?"
I couldn't talk so I just nodded.
"We'll find her but first we need to get you cleaned up."
"No... use. She- she's gone. Can't f-feel her."
"Anakin, come on. You'll come back to your senses when you're not covered in blood."
He had reached me and put his hand on my knee. His blue eyes were flooded with distress and pooling with grief. He knew that Y/n may be dead, and there was no escaping that. There was only a small chance that she would survive with this much blood loss.
"We should get out of here."
I couldn't stand seeing her blood anymore, but I couldn't look away. This was all I had left of her. Obi-Wan grabbed my blood-stained hand and tried to pull me up. I let him, but only because I felt as though I couldn't move on my own.
Obi-Wan pulled me into the refresher, grabbed some sort of cloth, and sat me down. He rubbed the blood off my face and tried with my hair. I just started at the wall, I couldn't process anything. Obi-Wan scrubbed at my hands as I tried to focus on something. The world around me seemed to be spinning and I was shaking, which made it worse.

"That's better, come on." His voice was soft yet stern, he knew if he gave me the choice I would stay here.
I stood up and followed him off the ship, my movements stiff. The girls sat on logs that they had brought into the clearing with their heads in their hands. That was until we came out. When they heard the footsteps, they stood up and looked at us.
When they saw it was just us, their heads fell the slightest bit. Ashoka stared into my eyes though, she saw the red traces on my skin.
"What happened?"
"We didn't find Y/n, but we found evidence of what happened." Obi-Wan began.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Auren's voice was harsh, it was unsettling. None of us has heard her like this before.
"She was taken by someone, there were scratch marks on her seat. And-"
He paused. Looked down and swallowed.
"And what?"
Her voice was harsh again.
"Her blood. There is a serious chance... There's a possibility that..."
"She's dead?"
"It's something that we have to into consideration. We can't ignore-"
Something came in from above, a bird of some sort. No, not a bird, the Son. He flew in and landed next to us. He was bright white even in the dark, with red lines across his face. He was thin and tall, wearing all black with little red details. All of us were on edge but he looked relaxed,
"Do you four need shelter for the night?"
"Yes, yes we do." Obi-Wan stepped in front of us.
"Well then, follow me."
He nodded and began to walk through a path in the forest. Obi-Wan turned back and nodded before following him. Auren was the next to walk even though she was fuming. Ashoka looked back at me and I could see the tears in her eyes before she followed. I was the last to walk, numbly stepping after them.
Eventually, we made it to a dark castle. It was entirely black with very few windows. We walked up a hill to get there and when we did, something felt off. He led us through the dark halls with red carpets to three rooms.
"You four can split up amongst these rooms tonight. I will talk to you in the morning."
"Thank you for your hostility."
The Son nodded to Obi-Wans words and left. The girls stood in front of one door and Ashoka spoke,
"We can share this room."
Obi-Wan nodded and walked to another door.
"You can take that one, Anakin."
The girls were gone and I looked at a door partially behind me. I looked over my shoulder, nodded, and then walked inside the room. As soon as the door closed, I leaned up against it and slid down.
I couldn't feel her, yet I could. She was here, but she wasn't. Maybe I was going insane, maybe I wasn't. I just need answers. What happened to her? Where is she? Is she dead? I could barely bring myself to, but I stood up and walked to the refresher. Looking in the mirror I saw the red stains left on my face.
Pink smeared across both my cheeks and temples. It rested on my forehead and left eye. A reminder of what I had lost dried in the roots of my hair. Aggressively turning on the water, I dipped my hands in and rubbed my hair. When my hands came out for my water they weren't pink anymore, they were red.
I kept reaching for water, getting the dried blood of my fiance out of my hair. When my hands began to come back lighter, I went for my face. Scrubbing harder than I should've, but I didn't feel anything. When that was cleared up more than it had been, I turned off the water.
But the water didn't stop pouring from my eyes. I leaned over the sink and rubbed my nose on my sleeve. We were going to get married when we got back to Coruscant. I was going to make sure of it. Slamming my unsteady hands on the counter, they began to bruise. So I put them in my still-soaking hair before backing up into the wall.
Seeing myself in the mirror, I was a complete mess. I was drenched but there was a towel to my left. I grabbed it and scratched my face dry. As I threw it back into place, I walked into the bedroom.
The bed in front of me was black and I went to sit on it. But the walls were a deep red, the color of dried blood. The blood that had stained my hands and mind. When I couldn't bare to see it anymore I lay down and shut my eyes tightly. I tried to sleep but all I could see was the red inside of my eyelids. The fresh blood that had pooled under her seat. If I closed my eyes tighter the color disappeared.
You just weren't enough to save me.
Y/n's voice was in my head, but she wasn't here in the room. I rolled over and gripped my ears.
I would forgive you if you had even tried.
I bit the inside of my lip and dug at my skin.
You'll never be powerful enough to save me or anyone.
"Stop it!" I yelled as I swiftly sat up.
She wasn't there.
Pathetic. Poor little Ani, teased by the voices in his head.
"I'm just imagining this," I shut my eyes again and laid back, "It'll go away."
Keep telling yourself that. I'm not dead but I will be soon.
I shot back up again, "You're not dead?"
No, but you can't save me so I will be soon.
"No! No, I can. Just tell me where you are!"
Oh, Ani. Do you really think it's that simple?
"I can save you, wherever you are!"
I'm sorry.
Her voice had changed from the heckling one to her regular voice.
"Y/n?"
Don't mind that, I'm no longer who I used to be.
"I know you're in there, Y/n wouldn't give up."
You think too highly of me, I did give up. This is what I am now.
"No! It can't be."
Try again.
I felt the presence leave and I knew she wasn't listening anymore. Rocking back and forth, I stood up and got out of the bed. I walked out into the cold corridor and looked down the hallway. Something was down there, I could sense it.
Walking through the dark hallway, I followed the odd feeling I had in the force. She's not dead. She's not dead. She has to be alive if she was talking to me, but was that even her? I closed my eyes as I approached a large door that seemed to lead outside. Placing my hand on the knob, the feeling was stronger than before.
When I finally opened the door, I was greeted by laughter. Y/n's laughter.
"So, you've found me." Her voice was dripping with venom.
I looked around, "Where are you?"
Taking a few more steps, I looked around at the dark courtyard. It had a large fountain up ahead with black flowers surrounding it. I would have been amazed by the beauty if I was trying to find Y/n.
"I'm right here, Ani."
I jumped and turned around at her voice over my shoulder. She began walking toward the fountain and I follows her with my eyes. Her robes were destroyed, littered with slashes and blood. There was a large blood stain right on her stomach where most of the blood had come from. Her skin was sickly pale and her eyes were not her own.
"This isn't you, where is the real Y/n?"
"What do you mean? This is what I've become, this is who I am."
She stared into my soul and I looked at the black veins around her eyes. Like spider legs, the veins were thin and all sprouted from her eyes.
"No, I won't accept it."
"But you have to. You won't do what it takes to save me, so this is my final form. After you leave, I will die."
My eyes widened as she chuckled at me. Now she sat on the side of the fountain, playing with the water as if she hadn't just talked about her death.
"I will do whatever it takes to save you, Y/n."
"Oh Anakin, it's not that simple. To save me, you would have to-"
The door opened again and I whipped around to face them. Y/n was now standing at my shoulder and she watched with me as Auren and Ashoka came in.
"Master?" Ashoka asked as she walked over to me.
The door slammed behind them and they both froze at the sight of Y/n.
"Hi girls. Miss me?"
